Hugh Street Cafe

Hugh Street Cafe is based in the middle, or the heart of St Mary’s town. My goodness, if you arrive early, you are greeted with an array of some amazingly tasty looking deli foods to take away or eat-in. They also make gorgeous salads, cakes, snacks, pastries and much much more. The cafe supports and boast some fine local produce and wonderful gifts. We stopped for a brief breakfast and the best coffee, selected some very fresh n tasty lunch bits and a cool drink, perfect for our day ahead. Super friendly staff as well!! Highly recommend popping in to take a look and pick up some super foods etc. 😊🙌

Highly recommend the ciabattas from Hugh Street Cafe, after having my first one upon arrival, I was tempted back to get another each day of my holiday. Although we never had time to stop and eat in, it's a lovely cafe with inside and outside seating perfect for people watching.

Eggs poached to perfection, delicious coffee, proper sourdough, friendly service, ketchup in a bottle and proper salt and pepper shakers - they even booked some sunshine for our outdoor table - lovely birthday breakfast!

Lovely cafe in Hugh Town, great selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, pasties and cakes. Really worth a visit. Staff are fantastic. Vegan sausage rolls are my personal favourite.

Visited last year in September whilst I was on holiday. First visit to this cafe. We had just got the Skybus to the island so we needed some food. This place was the first place I think we went to. Food was just amazing. I had the Hugh Street half. It was so delicious. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. We didn't have to wait too long for the food just as well as we were all hungry. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island.

I visited Hugh Street Cafe on my first visit to the Scilly Isles, and what a first impression! I shared one of their specials, which was a fresh dressed crab sandwich with a strawberry milkshake. Both were outstanding, the flavour was out of this world. As you can tell, I enjoyed it very much. The staff that served us were amazing, lovely, and so kind they made us feel at home. Outside the cafe looks like a quaint pretty cottage but on the inside it has a lot of seating and is beautifully decorated.
