Good food and great service. Prices are 40-50% higher than the local restaurants. Breakfast was pretty good, but pricey. Had the veggie scramble with three eggs and bacon for $23. Had some fries and a shrimp cocktail in the afternoon as well. Shrimp were huge, but also pricey. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great views of the bay, but also next to pool (lots of noise).

The best pizza I've ever had! Ordered a second one midmeal! Everyone was extremely friendly and efficient. A wonderful experience all around! The surrounds are gorgeous. I got great pictures walking around with my son before and after dinner. We'll definitely be back!!

Friendly staff but service was slow. The view from the restaurant was awesome though. Breakfast meals are okay and overpriced. Cup of coffee is $5 and I did not get a refill. If you are staying in this hotel snd want to use your credit, use it here during lunch or dinner and expect long wait. For breakfast, it’s better to go somewhere else. KTA store have more and better deli options for cheaper price and better quality meal.

The food here was amazing🤩! My favorite thing off the menu was the ube creme brulee, but sadly I pretty sure it's a special and the calamari. The truffle fries were also very good. Although I ordered the fish taco and it wasn't the best, it was still good tho, but I wouldn't order again. But overall I'd give this place a 10/10!!

Google
Yesterday we found Hula Hulas on google search. They offer a really good build your own burger. The Lilokoi Mule was a really good drink. Service was great and the view was even better.

Some of the best artisan high quality food on the Big Island! The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and inviting, reminiscent of French Bistros and big city dining. To top everything off the staff is excellent and very pleasant. Oh, I also must mention the spectacular seasonal drink creations that come from the bar, they are nothing short of delightful, creative and absolutely refreshing!

After a long tiring day from Big island excursion we decided to just stay low and chill at the hotel for the evening so Hula hula is our pick for dinner since it conveniently located at the G level of our hotel. Our food was excellent you can tell the quality of the ingredients a pizza crust is to die for our sever Kristine is the best thank you so much for providing us such wonderful experience.

This place has changed names and no longer exists. The menus are different and have zero vegan options available now under the new name. Servers and bartenders are always wonderful, the chef very obviously made our vegan meal as plain as possible and ignored all requests.

Yelp
Here's what you need to know: terrible food, very nice friendly service and absolutely amazing location on the Pacific Ocean. Hotel pricing for a captive hotel audience. Ordered burgers which were unfortunately tasteless and pearly had the pre made frozen patty flavor. We're not even seasoned properly with salt. Bacon was crispy and tasteless and you were just eating it for the texture at that point. Cheese was a bland food services sliced cheese. Fries were very enjoyable, even though they were not fresh cut or house made. The pizza on the other hand is with fresh daily made dough created by their pastry chef. But still insanely priced for $30 for a 10-12" pizza. Pasta was enjoyable enough but unmemorable. That was about $24 The view was worth a million bucks though. $50 for 2 cheeseburgers with bacon

Yelp
Convenient because the it is located in the Doubletree. Food: ordered the mushroom and margarita pizza. Both gross. We asked for well done for a crispier bottom. As you can see from the picture it is not well done. They used sliced cheese. Their other food may be ok, but I don't recommend their pizza.

Yelp
We went for the 4th of July, 2022 and had the Hamakua Aliʻi Mushroom pizza with garlic cream sauce, red onion, and freah basil. It was absolutely delicious. I was recently able to compare it to Cafe Pestoʻs Hamakua Mushroom pizza and Hula Hulaʻs pizza flavor blows away Cafe Pestoʻs pizza flavor, for the same price. I will definitely be returning for more. We also ordered the Margherita Pizza which was also great, I just prefer the garlic cream sauce. The service was quick and efficient, even though they were slammed with people there to watch the fireworks. Well done, Hula Hulaʻs. Well done!!

Yelp
Just an ok but convenient restaurant to have a bite to eat. Located next to the pool of the Hilo Doubletree you will find the kings of mediocrity. Food was neither great or bad and service was average. Booze selection is decent. If your looking for a quick drink and/or snack if you're staying at the Doubletree then this spot is for you. Don't go out of your way otherwise and head downtown for decent food.

Yelp
Stayed at the Grand Naniloa and Hula Hulas was the breakfast and dinner place at the hotel. I ordered the veggie scramble with Bacon which came out as an omelette . That didn't bother me one bit. It was delicious. I liked how almost every morsel had veggies and or bacon which made it flavorful. The potatoes didn't have the crispiness in breakfast potatoes normally do but it was good with Tabasco sauce and ketchup. The service was a bite slow, it seemed they were under staffed, just like all restaurants are experiencing. Those working were doing their best, that was obvious.. I only came for breakfast so not sure what it's like for dinner.

Yelp
First floor at Naniloa hotel. not fancy. but open casual feel so free. price is not casul www

Yelp
The service and food were amazing but will say it was really overpriced!! We were tired after a long day of travel so went here for dinner - being gluten free it's not easy to eat on the island, but they had the catch of the day which was perfect - 3 strips of fish over a bed of rice and asparagus - super tasty, cooked perfectly but was $55!! The server was great, kept check in with us, bringing us what we needed (water, napkins, etc) with a smile Great place with good food

Yelp
Short on staff!! There were no eggs at breakfast time!! Took forever to be seated and there seemed to be no system in place. Once seated I feel our service was friendly and timely. The restaurant itself is open air and has nice views. It was equally run down like the rest of the property. I ordered granola and fruit. The granola was in a bowl over frozen dragon fruit. Light and yummy. The pineapple and papaya were perfect but melon was under ripe and not edible. Although I in general enjoyed this meal the price was outrageous! Not worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
Margarita pizza was gross and flavorless. Chicken wings weren't any better. And it was super expensive!!

Yelp
The only star is for the staff. They were all very friendly and polite. Food is basic and extremely over priced. I had a $36 credit on my room and still did not want to even waste it here. I tried really hard to talk my family into eating there for dinner after being seated and looking at the menu--but glad I decided against it. I did end up eating there in the morning because I was short on time and it's conveniently located. Nice staff and we got our food quickly. But so basic. Small glass of orange juice for $6.50 plus tax. And basic bacon, eggs, and rice for $20.00 plus tax. Come on! Definitely way over priced!! The night before when we left the restaurant to eat elsewhere, we apologized to the staff--and even HE said, yes I'm sorry I know that it's kind of pricey! Do not recommend. They are lucky that they are attached to a hotel and people have no choice but to eat there because it's just close/convenient.

Yelp
Over priced and lonnnngggg waits. $25 calamari and $32 burger that cost $6 for lettuce.

Yelp
A very humble restaurant inside of the Grand Naniloa Hotel. I want to say the 3 star rating is because of their pricing. The service was good, my food tasted good. For example, the appetizer of edamame was $17 . SNAPS! That's a lot for soy beans. I ordered a Creme Brûlée and that was $11, for a portion that was about 4 oz. (See attached photo) As for the entrees, the chicken Caesar salad was $25. The rest of our entrees (2 cheeseburgers, Margherita Pizza and Fish of the Day) were a little higher priced than I had expected. Sadly the fish was dry, tonight's selection was the ONO fish, but my cousin said it definitely wasn't ono. He ate It even though it was dry. The ambiance was pleasant and the LIVE music and hula dancers made up for the restaurant's deficiencies. We were exhausted from traveling and spending the day sight seeing so we really wanted to sit down to a nice family meal. I was disappointed.

Yelp
Our last night at the hotel my husband and I got hungry and we didn't want to leave the property or our room for that matter. So my husband suggested room service. I called 15 minutes before room service ended and I am so thankful they let me still order food. We got a Cesar salad, the mushroom pizza and some calamari. The salad was good as it would be hard to mess up but it could of used more dressing. The pizza was delicious and our favorite. My husband said the calamari was okay. This was our first time ever doing room service. It was something we totally enjoyed and would do again. Not everyday as it is expensive but at least once or twice while we stay somewhere.

Yelp
Steep prices for less than mediocre food. Got the burger, one of the easiest things to cook, but they couldn't even do that. Frozen, unseasoned patty and soggy lettuce. The brioche buns were a little soggy and the cheese felt like plastic. No modifications were allowed which is a little frustrating. Burger sauce didn't taste very good either. Couldn't stomach half of the burger and took it home to my dog. The edamame is nice and the potstickers were okay, but save your money and go to hilo bay cafe instead. Service was great but understaffed.

Yelp
We stayed at the Naniloa and decided to dine here the first night. The service was great but the food was mediocre at best. Way overpriced for the quality of the food. We ordered the evening appetizer special which was a butterfly shrimp appetizer ($28 for 4 panko fried shrimp, which yes were tasty but it is fried shrimp not worth $7 a shrimp). We also ordered the potstickers were plump and delicious and probably the best part of our meal. We also shared the bbq pork pizza, which was underwhelming, the dough had absolutely no crispness to it not even the crust.

Yelp
Service staff was extraordinary. Restaurant was able to take our reservation for this Mother's Day lunch when other restaurants couldn't. View of Hilo Baybay was pleasant. Food was overpriced (see receipt pics): $24 for regular sized-veggie burger with lettuce, tomato, a paper cup of ketchup and two plastic mustard packets. No fries or side included. $26 for fish sandwich with lettuce, tomato, wasabi sauce. Fish portion was generous ($15 add-on). No fries or side included. Just a modest sandwich on a large white plate. $17 for order of truffle fries. Chef/cook was rude: First batch of truffle fries had no truffle taste...tried hard to find it, gave benefit of doubt, but no truffle taste. Server sent fries back to kitchen when we shared our thoughts on fries. Second batch very flavorful. Odd interaction with chef regarding fries. Chef spontaneously came out of kitchen with the fries. Chef held up a bottle of truffle oil, stated that "we get this complaint all the time" and that "people don't understand that truffle flavor evaporates on hot fries," then poured oil from truffle oil bottle all over fries, pivoted, and walked away without ever greeting the table, asking if we had concerns, or giving an opportunity for conversation. Chef seemed to have been upset the server had brought the order back and appeared to have a need to set us straight. From our group's perspective, there was no positive or constructive aspect of the chef's interaction with us.

Yelp
Food was fresh and delicious. The bartender Jay was friendly! When staying at the Grand Naniloa you must eat here

Yelp
The food does not taste good.. nice people but there's nice people everywhere on the island!. I recommend do not eat here and go into town! There's tons of high quality food in town

Yelp
Located at the Hilton Doubletree in Hilo only a few miles from the airport. The flooring is being replaced so until it's done it will look a lot better. Nice Kim Taylor Reece images on the wall. Restroom is outside towards the lobby of the hotel. I had the Ahi and ordered it seared, it was seased with Shichimi Togarashi - Japanese Mixed Chili Pepper. Loved it. Two huge pieces of fresh Ahi. Fresh fish tacos also was good. The ribeye steak was also good, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Open air bar, nice atmospere.

Yelp
If you're a gold or diamond honors member as of today, Sunday 3-15-2020, you will be getting a pre packaged breakfast. The breakfast buffet has been discontinued. I don't have a problem with that as they are just following CDC guidelines. I have a problem with what they are offering in place of the buffet. One box of pre-packaged breakfast bowls. I'm glad we're checking out today but any gold/diamond guests coming here be warned... you will get a pre packed box of continental items. If you upgrade to hot, you will get both the continental box and hot box, both pre packed not your choice... Maybe offer something off the menu instead of these pre packaged bowls... Here's how to really make it work: Make a list of all the items offered on the buffet. One list for all continental buffet items. One list for all the hot items. Another list for all the drinks and have the guests check off which items they would like... It really is that simple...

Yelp
The food: hands down, fabulous. But, it's not all about the food, it's the experience... This is a hotel restaurant that caters toward the tourist, and getting through as many as fast as possible. Yelpers be aware - you get a check-in deal here that WILL NOT be honored and they will give you a very hard time about it!!! They have separate "bar" and "restaurant" menus at different times, even though it is all the same kitchen. I wanted tacos from the restaurant so I asked if I was seated, ordered to-go, and sat at the bar if I could do that... they said I couldn't order to-go but yet I could sit down and then take with me? It's just a ridiculous ploy to get through as many tourons as possible. They refused to work with me, refused to honor the Yelp coupon, and gave me a hard time when all I was doing was spending money there. All that being said, when we finally got our food (at the bar) it was delicious. To bad the service ruined our experience.

Monica O.

Yelp
According to the front desk at Grand Naniola Hotel the Hula Hulas restaurant is no longer open for business and the restaurant has a new management. No longer allowed to park by restaurant to eat and need to valet $25 to park or across the street. We were surprised to hear this and told our car is being towed in 10 minutes while hoping to grab coffee and breakfast with my cousin. Local lady not sure if I'll go back after very rude Management at hotel.

Yelp
this place is very very slow as they have lack of waiters and are understaffed. food takes a very long time to come out and isn't good. the eggs aren't fresh they seem like liquid eggs, they don't have alternative milk options, and there are not too many gluten free options for breakfast - for those who are gluten free take note. anything fried is not safe as they use it for multiple things. someone else at my table had the potatoes and they were frozen cold guava juice is good but most of the food was just bland and took forever. servers are super nice but the wait time and the food was very disappointing

Yelp
Great food, beautiful restaurant and fantastic view. We arrived at the Grand Naniloa Hotel at dinner time and decided to dine at the hotel restaurant. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the fresh catch of the day (a grill snapper), the fish tacos and a pizza. The portion was quite big (we are in Hawaii) , the food was delicious.

Yelp
Since Ive been in Hilo beginning 11/25/21 they have been open for breakfast from 6:30a-10a despite what the voice message and website say. It is located as part of or right next to Grand Naniloa resort. Great service and good breakfast. I also really loved having the pitaya bowl Hamakua Ali'i mushroom pizza and parmesan truffle fries for lunch. The ocean view is pretty nice here.

Yelp
I loved Hula Hulas before COVID. Since then, they have doubled their prices and cut their portions in half! Last night was the first and last time I went since COVID began. I ordered Fish Tacos. For $27.00 I got two small fish tacos! I had an out of town guest and I was embarrassed that I brought him there! Wake up Hula Hulas! A lot of people lost money with COVID. But being cheap, serving tiny portions for ridiculous prices is not going to help you recover the money you lost. The taste of the tacos did not make up for the cost either. Next time I want tacos, I'll head to one of the taco trucks around town. Really a shame. Such a lovely location. I guess if you're a millionaire and don't mind wasting money, it's the place for you. For us hard working middle class citizens forget it! You are wasting your money and will go away hungry! You lost my business!

Yelp
On a recent trip to Hilo, we stayed at a hotel nearby, but ended up at Hula Hulas a few times! I heard later that the hotel and restaurant have gone through many positive changes in the last few years, and that improvement shows. Hula Hulas is located in the Grand Naniloa Hotel as their main restaurant. It's divided into two areas: a casual bar area, and a sit down restaurant. Essentially this is just about ambiance has the menu is the same no matter where you sit. The bar area is open to the fresh area and the pool deck. It has a beautiful view of the coastline and mountains beyond as well as the hotel grounds closer. One complaint here is the lack of seating; they have a large amount of space without enough tables. The bar has a number of stools, but you may have to wait for something to open. It's all open seating, so if you see one, grab it. This area also features the large stage for music and hula performances; another issue is the volume of music, which makes it hard to talk over a meal. The back seating area is a bit calmer and more comfortable with a mixture of tables and cushy booths. They're along open windows and doors that overlook the ocean. No matter where you sit, it's full service and all the staff we had were attentive and friendly. The menu features a lot of local produce and items with happy hour selections as well. We were happy with everything we had: I especially loved the salads as vegetables just taste better on Big Island. They also have a great selection of beer that changes with frequency. The second visit they had a special Ola Brew Co Tap Takeover event with representatives from the brewery giving away swag. They had special kegs on otherwise not available outside of the brewery in Kailua-Kona. Prices for everything were typical for a touristy area, but maybe a little lower than you'd find in Kona or Waikiki. Keep an eye out on their social media or website for special events.

Yelp
Terribly overpriced. Slow service $3.00 to go fee. Avoid at all costs No Hawaiian music, just rock music. No sense of place Take out order now 15 minutes late.q

Yelp
Decent food but SUPER pricey! Vacation prices in effect. Not a bad option for eating those free hotel drink buzzes away.

Yelp
We shared a fish sandwich the night before that I forgot to take a picture of, but it was good. Seared ahi on a bun with fries. In the morning we had breakfast and it was great. The bartender (Jay) was friendly and helped my boyfriend figure out which channel the game would be on the next morning. The waiter was great in the morning, ironically my boyfriend and him were talking about the game. I was happy with the service and the view is beautiful. It's pricy, but not unexpected at a hotel restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our meals, the service and the ambiance.

Yelp
I visit Hula Grill every time I visit Hilo. My favorite is their baby back rib!! Friendly staff and beautiful location. Reservation is recommended.

Yelp
The location was pretty and the food was just ok, but the service was phenomenal! Kayne treated us like royalty! We loved him so much!

Yelp
The edamame and truffle fries were both tasty. The house salad and pulled pork pizza were really good. The Hula desert was delicious. Great view from our table. The bathroom was far away in the hotel, and the hula girl pictures in the mens bathroom seemed a little antiquated. Unfortunately, the server made things awkward several times--one of the moments was him saying something like, I'll just wait here while you finish those last couple bites, so I can take away your plate. I've never had a server watch me eat so he didn't have to come back later to pickup a plate. All five of us agreed he needs a lesson in service.

Yelp
We just wandered over here kind of randomly, and had a lovely time! My husband loved his Caesar, and got the guava ribs which I managed to have one of ;) very nice and tangy, mashed potatoes with it were good too! I had the furikake fish and fries which was fine. We did get the Ube crème brûlée dessert and it was amazing! We got. A great table with a nice view and our server was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of :)

Yelp
I loved their food! Place is clean , open and has a good vibe. There's quite a bit of negative reviews about this place but I had a great experience! Food was sooo good! On two different occasions we had the pizzas. Hamakua mushroom with pepperoni was amazing! Barbecue kalua pork was even more amazing ! Everything about their pizzas from the crust to the sauce was made to perfection . We also had the potstickers that was the bomb also . Drinks were good. Our bartender/server Jacob was on point and checked on us frequently . I'd definitely go to this place again .

Renee R.

Yelp
The restaurant is the worst. No modifications to burgers. Not everyone eats cheese. Customer service is not a priority.
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
Well the food was tasty and the staff weren't rude - but service was "complacent" - rather slow and not attentive. Despite having a top shelf bar (where a Japanese whiskey was $24), the bar tender didn't know how to make an old fashioned. She made a good drink but it masked the fact that it was a top shelf whiskey. Against other hotel restaurants, they'd score higher. Against other places in Hilo, unfortunately Hula Hula's is a two.
google avatar

Cat M.

Yelp
Friends and I had this for breakfast and it was surprisingly good. The service was fine, at times slow but otherwise it was good and our server was funny which made the experience good. The moco loco was tasty. It had cheese which was a new twist for me since typically I haven't had it with cheese. I would recommend. The resturant has a nice view.

Paris J.

Yelp
I would say that overall a good vibe, and service, but man why was calamari $25. Not enough to be that price. And $18 for a mid, no sauce chicken sandwich, nothing to make it special. Also $9 add on for truffle fries, not great or good, mid affff. Just unnecessarily expensive for some mid food
google avatar

Yelp
Located in the Naniloa hotel, this ocean front restaurant is great for families, parties, or just Happy Hour. (Even if you're not a tourist!) We went here during our trip to Hilo last month and were not disappointed. The peel and eat shrimp was EXCELLENT and the Chinese Hot mustard deviled eggs with the surprise katsu thing on top was also a winner. Actually, everything we ordered was great. Ambiance is PERFECT. Hawaiian music on Saturday nights. This is a great place to just kick back and relax and grab a bite or two.

Customer X.

Yelp
Do Not build your own burger! By far the worst, most expensive "burger" I've ever had. Not sure why anyone would pay $25 for something that looks and tastes like it came from a 7eleven heat rack, and mayonnaise with a spoonful of jarred minced garlic is not aoli. You can go to Pineapples and get an amazing burger for way less! This place has changed things around recently and definitely not for the better. Breakfast is still ok and the service is still fast and friendly, but the overall quality is all but gone.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Take your money, time, and energy elsewhere. These people don't want your business, they are too busy trying to tow your car. We parked in a spot for "Hula Hula Restaurant", figured since we were eating at the restaurant, it would be alright. But, no. We came back out and had this on our car. Definitely not a spot we would dine at again, this is how they treat their customers!! We paid for dinner and the car was there for maybe an hour and a half with pretty much the parking lot empty.

Yelp
So I happened to stay here in Hilo, and I stayed in the hotel that is above Hula Hulas. The only reason I ate there is because they were one of the only places open during the evening. Anyways my team and I spent 100's of dollars in food and tips, 100's in tips and our service was average. It was nothing special, food takes 30 minutes+ to receive even if you are dining with 3 people. On our last night eating we decided to eat as a group, 8 of us. We were forced to pay 20% automatic gratuity. Although I've already tipped this place 60$ of my own in the past two days to the same servers and the reasoning of the gratuity was because of our table size. When we asked to move and split up our table they said they would still gratuity on 4 people tables. Then our meals came out, burgers had no buns, they used the same toast as t he toast you would get with breakfast. The patty soaked the bread making it soggy and not pleasant. (If there were no buns, good customer service would have told us prior to ordering). Then to end our night one of our bills, we divided the bills into 4 and 4 people and one person would pay the total, there was a mix-up. Costing a teammate an extra 15-20$. Although they made sure of how much cash they gave the restaurant they paid extra. To me, all of this could've been avoided if our serve was compliant. She didn't know how to handle the situation, got her boss, and tried to prove why she wasn't wrong instead of just resolving the issue. Overall, an average restaurant. Over-priced food, customer service was not the best. The only thing I can say positive about this restaurant is that there is a view of the ocean.
google avatar

Franz Q.

Yelp
Check your bill! We had a waitress named Lea try pull a fast one and slap an auto gratuity of 20%. We had a party of 3. I checked with 2 other waitresses and they confirmed that they do that for a party of 6+. When we confronted Lea about it and how she did that with only a party of 3, all she could say was "oh I can take it off". Uhm yeah you better do that. On top of that, the only other times we saw her was when she took our order in the beginning and when we got our bill. She walked past our table and other tables she was apparently supposed to handle and didn't acknowledge us or ask if we needed anything. I had to ask for water from another waitress. The food itself honestly was alright but the service was honestly bad. I even emailed Hula Hula restaurant about the incident and haven't heard back.

Yelp
It's a getaway in a getaway. I'd heard about Hula Hulas before I got there, but I was just told it was a great place to grab a drink. What it really was a great place to find serenity. It was an oasis in the middle of a barren desert! Well, maybe "barren desert" is a bit dramatic but considering you would think Hilo is all relaxing, this place is the real deal. I'm only talking about the setting. It's on the ground floor, pool side which is also ocean side overlooking a humble yet gorgeous Hilo bay. Now let's get to the food. They have a decently sized menu. Just a couple of appetizers, with a couple of main dishes, and a decent amount of pizza selections. While there I tried the pot stickers and calamari from the appetizer menu and the bacon cheeseburger with garlic fries. Everything I had was freshly made. Nothing was ever sitting before it was served. Judging by the temperature, as soon as it was plated it was on its way to me. To speak to that fact, I was always given my food by someone different. Getting the order out to you immediately was a point of emphasis for them and as a consumer, I couldn't be more appreciative. And yes, even during their amazing happy hour rush. When they have live music and the pupus are crazy cheap, your food is out on time and fresh. They make great drinks. From regular iced teas to Long Island iced teas (and believe me I know, because I always order both). The staff there is great. Friendly, engaging and every bit the aloha experience you would expect in Hilo. Whether you're local or not. Which reminds me, you have to let them know that you're Kama'aina in order to get a discount (I'm sorry I don't remember off hand what it is, but it's at least 10%). Also, on a personal note, I love the motif they got going on there. It's like Neo-artisan. It's got beautiful wood work blended with Modern furniture. Plus the art work everywhere is amazingly fitting with the surrounding adornment But if you need to get away from your room or just want a chill vibe and some great scenery and company the staff and locale of Hula Hulas should be set in your maps and click the fastest route. With any luck, I'll see you there.

Yelp
SERVICE: 5 stars. Waiter (bald haole dude) was very nice. No complaints there. Did his job well. FOOD: Nothing to get excited about. Ate here multiple times pre COVID and a few times during the pandemic. Menu not very consistent and the portions kinda small. Unless you're an Asian tourist, than it's just right. PRICE: Holy hell this place jacked up its prices more than anyplace I've been! If there was ever a price gouging restaurant, Hula Hulas would be that place. Food quality definitely DOES NOT meet the price point. Overall it's safe to say we've marked Hula Hula's off of our list of options when we want to dine out...at least until they decide to come back to reality with their prices for everything on the menu. Btw, I had a $23 chicken ceasar salad.

Yelp
This restaurant recommended by locals which I thought was going to a wow. Scale1-5 Food: Fish and chips- 3 The fish and fries were good. I didn't care for the batter. Slightly over fried. Ahi Seared sandwich- 4 My son ordered this and perfectly seared and great flavor Kulua Pizza- 3 Not enough Kukua Pig. Flavorful. The dough of pizza was very good. Fresh (certainly not the best pizza) Note to self: order Seared Ahi Sandwich next time Ambience-5 Great views Service- 4 Good service. I don't recall getting refilled water, unless ask. They did not give Check in discount. They said under new management. Not a big deal. They should remove offer on YELP. Did not take pics

Yelp
We came here for Christmas breakfast, it was lively but not crowded. Either way I called to make a reservation because one never knows. Despite us being a little late, they respected our reservation time and we had to wait only about 5mins max. The views from Hula Hulas is quite nice, you get to see the beautiful waterfront and people on canoes or paddle boarding. We waited about 15-20mins for our food, the waitress did came to apologize because our food was taking slightly longer than usual (that is the minus star). When the food got to us though, it was freshly made and hot. My coffee though, was already cold. My daughter got the pancakes with strawberry. It were rather large pancakes and the strawberries were perfectly sweet. Mix with the maple syrup I am sure it was a load of sugar waiting to explode on my kiddos system haha I had the eggs Benedict with avocado (you gotta have that avocado). While the dish look small, afterwards I was rather full. The sauce was delightful and I recommend it. Overall for the price and the view, it was worth to come on Christmas day for breakfast. I saw some people had paid for the buffet but we do not usually eat largely so we were better off paying off the menu.
