"Hull Bay Beach—on the north shore of St. Thomas, west of Magens Bay—has the wave action surfers crave. When there's a northern swell, the beach is considered the best surf spot on the island. The rest of the time you'll find snorkelers, local families, and fishing boats bobbing out in the bay. The beach bar is a popular island spot."

Everyone who lives in the VI knows about HULL BAY where the Frenchies play. You can get food and drinks and swim out to the surf breaks! Chill under the palm trees and play 3s. Just be respectful. Almost everyone you will see there is a local. 😉

Best place for locals on the island, park on the beach, the hideaway has music, cornhole, pool, family vibe, strong delicious drinks, great food, seared ahi, rib eye. Lots of frenchies, they're not the nicest to strangers, just ignore insults, be very cool and tip well and you'll be fine. The parking lot Beach can get rowdy on some nights. If you want to hang with the locals it's the place. Great memories!

Great secluded beach. Beware of the frenchies they are violent and racist and will try to strong arm you. Steer clear. The bar is nice and the beach is great.

Finding a parking spot was a little hard. We came here for the highly recommended restaurant called the Shack

Yelp
Hull Bay Beach is a quieter but no less beautiful beach on the north side of St. Thomas. The roads are a little trickier to navigate to get here, but there is ample parking. The Shack at Hull Bay is here as a great option for food but otherwise there are no restroom amenities. My pups enjoyed it here as a dog-friendly beach.

Yelp
Before Abi Beach came along Hull Bay was the only beach that you could bring your dogs to. I honestly didn't like it that much because on the weekends EVERYONE living on this island with a dog would set up tents, grill and camp out all day. Positives are that your fur baby will have a blast with dog friends and come home tired. Downside is that it's noisy, crowded, and you have to come early to get a good spot and parking. Waking up on weekends early is not something I do. This is a locals beach, I haven't really seen the tourist groups come out here (they stick more so to Magen's Bay next door) so when cruise ships are in, this beach won't get over crowded. It is very rocky in the water and on the beach so watch out, but there is no charge to access this area. The big bonus with this beach is Hull bay Hideaway restaurant, which serves up awesome affordable grilled beach grub and a shaded eating area that your fur baby is allowed, in order to get out of the blazing sun in the early afternoons. If you have a boat there is also a ramp to lower it into the water in the parking lot area. Overall if you're only here on St.Thomas with a cruise ship stick to Magen's Bay if you live here and have dogs this is a beautiful beach to spend the day. #St.Thomas #USVI

Yelp
We took a wrong turn on our way to Megan's Bay and ended up here. A nice surprise with clear water and decent beach. It seems like it's more for locals than tourists. The next time we are here we will have to spend more time and check out the nearby Hideaway restaurant.

Yelp
Love this beach !!! We were so secluded, the only people on the beach for several hours in the morning. We brought our snorkel gear and were able to see quite a few fish, but nothing crazy. There Are a lot more rocks than at magens bay. Surf is on the other side of Hull bay and people were catching pretty good waves. Easy to get to and can park your car right next to the beach

Yelp
Nice, quiet, quaint bay. Not much around, so you must bring own snacks, snorkeling equipment. No public amenities, but okay. It is sandy but also rocky. Lovely sea glass finds (not a lot). Lots of shells. If you want to get away from crowd, good place. I believe it has more of a secret community feel. Very quiet me relaxing.

Yelp
Another great St. Thomas beach. Hull Bay has recovered pretty well - post Hurricanes. It's got surfing, decent snorkeling and has cleaned up nicely. There's still work going on in the area - both clean up and power work - but on most days you can enjoy crystal clear water and a nice sand beach.
