Hümanette

This place is a local treasure. I’ve gotten through sleepless nights with baby knowing that once Humanette opened up, we’d have a fun and relaxing place to hangout, see other people, and have a hot coffee. As my daughter has grown, the variety of toys and interactions have been wonderful for her exploration and growth. We started out in the infant area and now she’s toddling around with the bigger kids. Such a thoughtfully designed, calm and welcoming space for children and adults. Other perks: good coffee, tasty snacks, a nursing room, and kid-friendly toilet facilities. Thank you to the Humanette team!

This play cafe is so spacious! I’ve been to several other play cafes in the KC metro area, and this one is the most spacious and prettiest one I’ve been to. Workers were friendly and the parking wasn’t bad (I live in the ‘burbs, so I always get nervous about street parking). Probably my favorite thing about it: all of my kids were entertained. My oldest is 9 and youngest is 3, and it’s really hard to find places that allow both ages and entertain both ages.

We had my daughter’s 2nd birthday party here. Jamie was great to work with and the kids had a blast! I didn’t have to do any work and the staff was all amazing. We also love going just for play time during the week! Great addition to Brookside.

My precious great granddaughter's first time at Humanette. She absolutely loved playing with all the wonderful toys. She didn't want to leave, and I couldn't blame her. We will definitely come back.

Very clean and very great place for young ones! Brought my 10month old and there was a lot of toys she enjoyed playing with. Staff was friendly and the muffin and coffee I tried were top notch. Will definitely be going back some time :)

We went for the first time and my children had so much fun! Ages 2 and 4 and they were fully occupied for 2 hours. There were many toys I'd never seen before, and everything was SO aesthetic. It is a bit pricy, but if you need a moment or to catch up with a friend or to get work done this is it! We met friends there and actually got to catch up some while our children played. They also had great Matcha, which can be hard to find in KC sometimes.

We reserved the space for a private birthday party and had a wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They even offered to help bring things in, which was such a nice touch. Throughout the event, they were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was very clean and well-maintained, with no surprises—exactly what we expected and more. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a special place for your little one.

Such an amazing spot! Humanette was so spacious and had so many fun things to keep my 2.5 year old entertained. The space is so well designed, from the different rooms to the cafe and the seating (for when you get a chance to sit for a few moments). The woman working during our visit was so friendly and helpful! I will definitely be back and will be mentioning the space to everyone I know with kids!

Humanette is part of this new movement of what I would call play cafes. Places that fill the need of a cafe that is kid friendly, where your kid can play in a safe and kid friendly zone, and you can sip on a coffee and catch up with friends in a pleasant environment. Some of my close friends chose Humanette as a venue for my baby shower and it really was perfect, especially if you, like me are on your second kid and know that a good amount of children will be in attendance. The kids had a BLAST playing in the play area, and the grown ups enjoyed a really elegant adult party in the cafe. It was my first time visiting and I'm already thinking about a return visit once this baby comes with some girlfriends and our kiddos!
