Humboldt. Organic Brunch, Restaurant & Bar

Humboldt delivers posh looking plates that taste brilliant as well. We were very impressed by their vegetarian spread and loved each and every dish we tried. The standouts were the flamed goat cheese mousse and the kasnockn. The truffle fries and the little Humboldt bowl very excellent too. I laud the inventiveness and the nutritional profile of the vegetable tartar, but after a point it became a bit dry to eat, especially the huge slabs of tofu.

First night in Salzburg and hadn’t really researched restaurants before arriving so took a chance on Humboldt, hoping they would be able to accommodate two of us on a Monday night. Lucky us they had a free table in their cozy dining room. We shared the on schnitzel and a spätzle, both excellent choices (as well as the generously portioned salad that came with one of them, can’t remember which dish). Service was very helpful,‘despite the waitress being flat out she was super cheerful. This is a great spot and I was tempted to come even on my second night. Highly recommend!

The food itself was good and we enjoyed the flavors, but unfortunately the behavior of one of the staff members left a negative impression. She told us that the food would take around 40 minutes to prepare, but that was not accurate, and the way she communicated with us felt unnecessarily unfriendly. While this did not ruin the whole experience, it did affect our overall impression of the restaurant. With some improvement in customer service, this place could be much better.

As a vegan I enjoyed my choices from the menu. The list of drinks was very nice too. The soup was exquisite and my main dish was delicious too.

Had lunch here with 4 people. Ordered soup, burger, schnitzel, and meatballs. Waited a bit longer than expected (20+ mins), but the food was delicious and service was friendly. Would recommend!

Very delicious Wiener Schnitzel. Excellent french fries, just as they should be - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.

We had Meatballs, Cheeseburger and Schnitzel. The prices were a bit salty. I don't like the Kartoffelsalad which is served with Schnitzel. It isn't the same as traditional ones. I found it dry. Besides that the taste of the meals were good. The waiters asked too many questions like they never leave you alone. Kinda felt unwanted. The atmosphere was nice...

One of my best Austrian Meals . The food was delicious, portions were not too big . Absolutely worth the money.
