Fresh fluffy pita bread comes with every hummus plate. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing different styles. Nice outdoor seating in summer. The bohemian atmosphere adds to the experience. Try the roasted eggplant with tahini.

I have never seen such a nice cafe with pure justification of the name. Best quality Hummus and very friendly staff. They made us very comfortable by talking to our parents, asking us where we come from. About food I never tasted such a soft pita bread. And the Humus was next level. We ordered 4 different Humus and all were delicious and tasty. The dish was presented very nicely. There was ample space in the cafe and the staff even took pictures for us and with us. Thanks for the experience and all the best.

Google
I very nice hummus variation restaurant next to the big Synagoge. The service is excellent and flexible on the orders. Food is really great. The cauliflower is ok. Nothing spectacular. Polish it up with a little paprika powder, and fig Sirup. That's what they do in Arabic countries. The falafel however taste really great!

Google
What an absolute gem of a restaurant. Thoroughly recommended if you like hummus! Everything on the menu includes hummus - I had the "special" with lentils, onions, gherkins, and pitta, with an Erdinger beer and paid €26. I can't yet promise the advertising lives up to it's interesting proposition, but heck, worth it for the food. Fabulous setting, service, and atmosphere. Edit: went back here a couple more times and had falafel. Very good and staff very attentive. It's great 👍

Google
Food was delicious, best of Israeli food, the humus was really nice with good texture and flavours, i would say they can be a bit more generous on the fava beans in their special humus as a spoon of it was not good enough for a plate you share. The pita bread was okish, i expected more as it is baked Infront of you, but i think they might need to use a different dough and let it raise so it become more fluffy pita.. other than that service was friendly and kind and i would recommend the israeli salad, sooo simple yet sooo good !

Google
Way overpriced for basic hummus and pita. Removed some of the vegan options from their menu, but still vegan friendly. Was very fresh and nice, but too expensive. They try to charge you for tap water tho!

Google
A bit disappointing. The humus was average, certainly not on par with a good Israeli humus . Also it was cold which is not the right way of serving Humus. The roasted cauliflower was on the other hand tasty and a good value. We had a taste of the chocolate humus and the best thing I can say about it is that they should take it of the menu immediately. Finally we had a coffee which was fine and a piece of carrot cake which I found a bit dry. Worth a 3.5 but could be better

Google
I've been here several times since years. The hummus is fluffy as it should. You can choose beteeen the classic variants of this dish, but also modern ones such as the avocado hummus. I am here for a short luch or a filled dinner. - Whatever you like. This is the only restaurant I know in Germany having a good hummus as it is in Israel.

Yelp
Hummus and Friends was recommended to me by an old friend. He was right about this restaurant. I love Israeli cuisine and the hummus and the delicious vegetable (Yemenite Israeli perhaps) soup was exactly what I needed to recharge. My server, Ellie, was charming and provided me with great service.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch while nearby for a quick bite to eat. It took a while for a server to visit our table initially, but after that the service was fine. I ordered the hummus & antipasti plate. The hummus was so creamy, rich, and flavorful. The roasted veggies on top were a nice accompaniment. An additional pita would have been nice to help polish off all the hummus & veg but I just shoveled them all in with my fork which worked fine. A delicious lunch- we would definitely stop in again!

Yelp
Big plates of hummus . Better to share with big groups of people between dishes and you can order more to try !

Yelp
Hummus and Friends is a very cozy spot with chill music and nice interior. If you are looking for a place to eat and have a great conversation for business or a date - this is your spot! There are lots of options, mostly vegan! The price is a bit high due to the location. What we liked in terms of taste: - Cauliflower (was amazing) with tahini sauce. Perfectly roasted and not greasy at all. (4.50€ half and 7.90€ Full cauliflower) - Cocktailtomaten and bulgur (4.20€) also great! - Roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes: perfectly roasted! And not too greasy and oily. Hummus wise - it was surprisingly just ok. We had Hummus Avocado which didn't had the full creamy avocado taste that you might expect. Hummus chickpeas, super creamy but taste wise also ok. The best one we liked in terms of hummus was the sundried tomatoes hummus for 9.80€. The israelischer Salat is refreshing but nothing special. Overall - great spot to meet people. Taste wise it's ok! Price wise it's slightly overpriced. The service was not the best and price value ratio could be better! Overall ok place!

Yelp
VERY slow service. Food (hummus plate) tasted pretty good, but the chefs behind the bar use their bare hands for everything. This wouldn't be too terrible but there wasn't even soap available in the bathroom to wash your hands. Pretty gross.

Yelp
Our waiter made a racist statement while taking our order. Here is what happened: Today, 11/8/18, me and my family had a late lunch at around 5 pm. While talking to the waiter, we asked him (please see attached photo) about the owner of the place and if he likes working there. He basically said it to our face that he hates Israelies and he hates working there because the owner is giving him a hard time. We immediately asked for another waiter and if we weren't so hungry, we would just get up and leave. It is important to say that the other waiter who replaced him was super nice and Profesional, and the food was good, but when I asked to talk to the manager, she covered for her friend and said that there is no manager ( I think she was in charge) and that she doesn't know the owners name so I should go online so here I am... I will recommend talking to have a talk with the guy or even better, fire him because obviously, he doesn't like working there. Danke, Yossi

Yelp
"Make Hummus, Not Walls" - the slogan of Hummus & Friends in Mitte, Berlin, says it all. This is the best Kosher and Vegan spot in Berlin. Hummus is fresh, other options are right from the oven, and the range of extras (vegetables, etc) is just awesome. I had the Hummus Rote Beete with a small Israeli salad and roasted tomatoes and it was superb, served along with bread. For drinks, I had a couple of grapefruit cocktails. The price? Amazing value. Service was fast, friendly, accurate. The decor is super, a mix of wooden, shared tables and individual lounge chairs. Ideal date night as well as drop-ins for groups. You'd be advised to make a reservation though. Check out the menu! http://hummus-and-friends.com/menu/

Yelp
I would highly recommended to make a reservation beforehand. The place is very busy, apparently because it's so good. Beetroot hummus is a new favorite! But also so many other flavors you couldn't even think about. The portion size is satisfying. There's also friendly EN-speaking staff.

Yelp
Delicious. Nearly adjacent to the beautiful partially restored (as a museum) New Synagogue, this is a great place to have lunch or dinner. Hummus & Friends serves kosher Israeli food in a casual, lounge-like atmosphere. They were understaffed the day we came but the service was very eager to please and there was hardly any wait for the food and drink. The food was as good as any you'll find in NYC or Tel Aviv. I would even say it's the best hummus I've had. Nice and moist. The quinoa had a complexity of flavors and was also the best I've had. Try the roasted cauliflower and dip it in the hummus. I've attached a photo of the menu. In warm weather, they have outdoor dining. They also have a full bar. I like this place. If it were in NYC, I'd be a regular. The total cost for an abundant brunch (no alcohol but lots of coffee and tea) was 27 euros. Not bad.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, the food is great, the location is cozy! Roasted cauliflower is definetely worth trying!!

Yelp
Our tour guide told us if we came to Berlin to eat German food, try Israeli food instead, and recommended this place to us. Originally skeptical of a restaurant that only served hummus, we were amazed at how good the food was. The ground chickpea part of the hummus was spread around the sides of the bowl, with oil and your ingredients of choice filling it. I had the chickpea version, which has chickpeas and onions and tahini sauce. It is served with fresh-out-of-the-oven pita bread. Amazing. The wine selection is also relatively extensive, and even includes several varieties of kosher wines. It was pretty affordable, and made for a good dinner - I was completely stuffed but then again I got a second pita bread to finish out every last bit of the hummus. I'd definitely recommend, especially if you are staying at one of the nearby hostels.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere here. Delicious variety of hummus dishes available. Great service, cozy spot, couldn't ask for more.

Yelp
We actually stumbled on here because a friend of mine is vegan and we wanted some good and new food. The neighborhood is so cool and easy to get to from the S Bahn. We got the platter which has beets (the red) avocado (green) and chick peas (white)... each one better than the next. On the menu it says it serves two and came with three pita bread... we were to three and couldn't finish it (no matter how hard we tried because we honestly couldn't stop). We got a little pan with potatoes too (regular and sweet) to dip and it was fantastic. It could have been the tasty wine ( which was filled to the top :p ) but the atmosphere was amazing. The mellow music added a nice ambiance and st the top he have an ongoing display of art work. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great hummus and pickled cucumber. Very generous with tahina. A bit pricey but for this quality I can pay from time to time.

Yelp
What a great place and concept! Not amazed by german food, we decided to have a look at the Israeli food and opted for Hummus and Friends. I was surprised on how they could invent a total concept based on Hummus and healthy food. We went there for a quick lunch. Hummus was served with delicious Pita Bread, we can see all the ingredients and it was sooo delicious. Nice waiters who talked with us in English without problems. Great place if you visit Berlin, 5 stars.
google avatar

Vivien W.

Yelp
I love this place, simply because food is healthy, tasty and fresh. I love they have a limited menu. Great prices! I only wish we could have some veggies with the hummus :)
google avatar

Tal E.

Yelp
Not an incredible Hummus. Prices were high comparing to the very small Dishes. Staff was friendly and nice and that's why i gave it 3 stars and not 1. Don't think i will visit again.

Yelp
Disaster Worst service And from someone that really like hummus and eat hummus so many times.. its nice hummus not more than that. I came far away just for this place and it was really disappointing. Was my first time i wanna leave so early. Really small menu. And you feel alone in the restaurant no waiter come to check up how is everything. Really don't go there.. don't even worth your time from someone who really like restaurants especially Israeli hummus.
google avatar

Yelp
Terrible. If this is how they sell Israeli food, it's a shame. Israeli food is much better but here is just touristic crap. Expensive and bad. Avoid!!!
google avatar

Jessie M.

Yelp
At least four different hummus options, but mine was a little too chunky for my taste. A great place to meet up with friends and have a good time, with an outside option in the back. Make sure you call ahead and reserve a place, it's almost always packed!! This place is Kosher! It's also right next to the neue Synagoge which is always nice to see.

S K.

Yelp
They have lots of different kinds of hummus, though perhaps the range is exciting to people who've never tried to make it themselves; if you have, it's not such a big deal. The hummus itself was perfectly good. However, the portions are rather small for the price. Also, the place can get very crowded, and the servers can feel a tiny bit snooty. It's nice if you're in the area (it was perfect for ducking out of a museum in the Museumsinsel for a quick meal), but I wouldn't say it's a place to go out of the way to visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice ambience. Tasty and flavorful dishes. Portions are on the smaller side. Slightly overpriced for what it is, but overall is a good place:)

Yelp
We were wandering around hungry in Berlin and saw a few people eating outside. Their pita and garbanzo beans looked delicious so we venture inside. We weren't disappointed! We got the quinoa and zucchini, the baked cauliflower, and the hummus and friends special. This is a lot of food for two people! My favorite was the cauliflower! Definitely don't get two similar hummus dishes if you are going with other people... Try a variety! The menu has English and the waiter spoke English as well.
google avatar

Yelp
My son is vegan and this restaurant had several good vegan options so we gave it a try. The food was very good. We got the oven baked stuffed paprika (a stuffed red bell pepper) which was excellent; baked eggplant which simple but very good; and cocktail tomatoes and bulgar which was probably my favorite dish (with notes of lemon and mint). We also got their special hummus dish but I goofed and forgot it included a hard-boiled egg so my son would not eat it. I liked it. The addition of the fava beans to the hummus was an interesting change. Service was excellent and the restaurant had a fun casual ambiance. You might pass it by because it has no obvious outdoor seating from the street side, but it looked like there was outdoor seating on an interior patio.

Yelp
I loved this place. On my recent visit to Berlin I had a lovely meal here. Right next to the gorgeous synagogue. I had a great roasted cauliflower soup, then a salad of quinoa, roasted carrots, hummus and chickpeas. With a side of pita. The service was a bit slow, but the atmosphere cozy and warm. Servers spoke English. Great place for Vegans!
google avatar

Yelp
The hummus bowl and pita was good, and the service was great. A really comfortable environment in a quite nice area. DO NOT MISS the chocolate cake for dessert. Simply amazing!

Yelp
Fantastic food for a fair price. Really good flavor and a cozy restaurant. If you are in Berlin I highly recommend you to visit this place!

Yelp
Okay hummus and terrible service. We ordered a small salad and a trio of hummus. The salad was very disappointing, but the hummus was good. They used a lot of tahini in it, which made it nice. The beet hummus was interesting, as was the avocado hummus, which also had basil in it and tasted like pesto. The plain hummus was nothing special. The pita was tough on the outside and reminded us more of a pretzel than of quality pita. The hummus was also loaded with oil and tahini on top which made it too watery and took away from the hummus itself. We actually poured some of the oil off because it was like eating pure oil. The service was abysmal. I went to the bathroom at one point and saw what looked like our food on the counter. 10 minutes later I go into to take the food myself and see it still on the counter. I asked if I can take it and the bus boy very rudely snapped at me no and that I need to sit down. He later came and dropped the food on our table (presenting it backwards). We asked for plates and a stack was dropped again for us to distribute. Another customer had an equally bad experience next to us when he waved his hand in the air to call for service and the bus boy came out and yelled at him to never do that again. Not worth coming here. Make the hummus yourself.

Elad T.

Yelp
I waited 20 minutes for my dish and still didn't get it. The place was not that full, either. Ended up just walkig away. And this is supposed to be fast food! Terrible.
google avatar

Lavender L.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of hummus and was disappointed. The service was unfriendly, the baked cauliflower and hummus were okay, nothing amazing except for the high prices. Nice try but won't return.

Sam K.

Yelp
Want hummus? Have friends? This is the place to go. The atmosphere in this little restaurant is perfect for a date or a group of friends. We ordered the garlic date dish which I have to say was my favorite thing we got. The mushroom hummus and avocado hummus we're good also but the garlic is a must. Warning though, this is not the place to go to get a big meal...all they have is hummus. Also wish they served more pita but extra is pretty cheap. Would recommend for someone looking for non German food.
google avatar

Mikey S.

Yelp
If you're into hummus, you won't be disappointed at Hummus & Friends. Though the menu is not broad, the dishes we ordered were delicious. The garlic tapa was the highlight. We had ordered two but unfortunately only were served one. It's clear this place is still trying to find its footing a little. But once the servers and staff have found their groove, it promises to be a positive experience. The restaurant itself is very well designed with an attractive look and convenient location. Recommended.

Yelp
One of the most tasteful bistros I know in Berlin. Great taste, atmosphere and style. Including garden terrace.

Caroline C.

Yelp
Very good address if you like hummus :-) the place is new and very nice A lot Of Vegan dish so a good point, I enjoyed a tasty and healthy food, good but staying quite light so a very good point ... Maybe a bit too much chickpeas sometimes ... Good address to eat with a friend after yoga !

Natalie P.

Yelp
Nice hummus, great variety of daily vegan dishes and salads. Pleasant vibe and decoration and friendly staff.

Ereli E.

Yelp
Such a delightful gem in Berlin. The Hummus was warm and fresh, as we ate around lunchtime the service was very quick, the pita bread was good and we enjoyed a very juicy finely chopped salad. the price was decent for an instantaneous trip to the middle east in every bite.

Maria M.

Yelp
Came here a after hearing great recommendations about the food, but unfortunately my experience with the staff was very negative. Once the waitress was outright rude and cranky, not only to me, but also to other customers. Very unprofessional and we chose to leave before ordering. We came back to try our luck another day and managed to order this time. The hummus plates were nice, but in general the food was under-seasoned and the service very slow.

Markus T.

Yelp
We saw the restaurant in the Marco Polo tourist magazine and thus decided to go there. Unfortunately we can't recommend it. The portions are small, the service is slow and mediocre at best. When the waitress finally arrived to take our order, we were told: "Oh, sorry, we don't have this," which forced us to change our order somewhat. But then, 10 minutes later, we find out that what we ordered is also not available anymore, so we had to pick something else yet again. This is a result of an understaffed kitchen. Regarding the food, it was okay, not particularly good or bad, but for Berlin definitely overpriced given the small portions. Skip it and try something else!

Susannah S.

Yelp
Delicious hummus and salad, reasonable prices, and great atmosphere (the decor is beautiful). Great place to stop for lunch or an afternoon snack.
