Excellent restaurant. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. They offered suggestions from the menu. And they were spot on with their recommendations. The food was delicious and prepared very well. Absolutely loved the experience from the moment we walked in to the food.

Food was delicious. I ordered chicken gyros plate, the salad that came with it was really tasty. The staff were super-nice & accommodating. The restroom was an all gender restroom that I think was shared with the adjacent restaurant, so it wasn’t as clean and the hand soap was almost empty.

I want to leave a review about Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen. We liked everything very much - the food was fresh, tasty and delivered quickly. I especially liked hummus and meat, you can feel the quality and good taste.Separately, I want to mention a woman named Saltanat - she was very polite, attentive and benevolent. Thanks to her service, the atmosphere has become even more pleasant. You can see that she works with soul and respect for the guests.We will definitely come again and recommend this place to our friends.

A great place for a quick bite or a social lunch. I really liked the bowls, a great balance of flavors; comes with hummus and pita bread. The toasted chickpeas and pickled cabbage on the bowl add flavor and texture. We also had the stuffed eggplant dishes . All our meals came with rice, salad and pita bread. Can make it vegetarian but we had it with ground beef. Delicious!

First time eating here today. The food was tasty and service was great. We both had the Lamb & Beef Gyro wrap with a side order of fries, which were really a basket of hot shoestrings, delicious. They have a large menu and the cashier let us take our time to order. I can't say I'd go there again, but if you like mediterranean food, go check them out.

Had a Beef & Lamb plate, $23 after tip. It was great and tasty, just be sure to ask for their spicy sauce. They’ll give you a little red squeeze bottle, the sauce is orange in color.

Delicious Mediterranean food served at this downtown San Mateo location. Everything was prepared perfectly—hummus, bread, gyro plate, beef kebab, chicken kebab, and kale salad. Fast and friendly service. Parking can be hard to find on 4th Avenue, but there are some parking lots within 5-7 minute walking distance.
