I’m not sure why I’ve waited so long to eat at Humo. I tried their food once before. It was shortly after they opened and I honestly enjoyed it then. For some reason, I haven’t been back until now.
The ambiance when you walk in is perfect. The entire vibe just makes you feel like you’re in an upscale restaurant, but with a more relaxed atmosphere.
For appetizers, we ordered the peruvian ceviche and the tuetano (bone marrow). I’ve never had peruvian ceviche, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try it. I was pleasantly shocked. Same case with the bone marrow. I’ve only seen others eat it before lol. I really liked it, especially when it was paired with all the others flavors. They also bring out chips and salsa. The salsa itself was a bit spicy, but it was so good that I persevered.
For my main entree, I ordered the chimichurri lamb chops. They were resting atop some perfectly cooked fingerling potatoes. It also came with a fresh arugula salad with a lime vinaigrette, which I demolished. Although the lamb chops were a bit on the smaller side, they made up for it in flavor, especially with the chimichurri😍
The service was a bit on the slower side, but our waitress did tell us they were a bit understaffed. I think she still did an exceptional job.
If you’re looking for some great food in a chill setting, then head over to Humo.
