Being the only restaurant in Hum, they could drop the ball if they wanted. But they don't. The food is lovely. We had a lot of firsts here from shaved truffle to Istrian fuzi pasta. Sure, the menu is limited, but it's varied enough for a group to each find two evening's worth of food they'd enjoy. Who could complain about a small menu in the most beautiful, peaceful hilltop town in the world... surrounded by nature, trees, mountains, and a joyful Earth singing all around you? If anything, given the isolation of the town, I think the menu reaches beyond expectations. To my delightful surprise, they also had a selection of local craft beers. The staff are proud of their space, and with good reason. I'd love to see it in the winter with the fireplace going, with hearty goulash sitting cozily within its stone walls.
