"Vienna's Colorful Hundertwasser-Haus Friedensreich Hundertwasser's design is quite the departure from the refined elegance of the city's most notable attractions. That's not to say, however, that it's not a masterpiece. This 1985 apartment block with a colorfully eclectic mix of Moorish, Spanish, and Venetian elements forms a unique living space complete with trees and shrubs on the roof."

The Hundertwasser House is a unique place. The ceiling is very aesthetic, and the colors are beautiful. There are big trees in the backyard, and on the rooftop, there are many more trees whose roots have expanded onto the façade of the building, giving it a lively feel and a different vibe. Recommended for those with a taste for art and architecture. Opposite the house is the Hundertwasser Village, where you can buy souvenirs, paintings, and many other items.

It’s a building and nothing else. There are shops to buy some gifts and learn more about the building but you can’t enter the building. People are living in there. However, you can sit at the bar as part of the building. Walking up to the stairs you will find it. Or on the other side also the bar the and a little shop which looks like the museum where you can read more about building and buy small gifts 🎁 there for souvenirs. If you enjoy walking I would recommend. On the way here to this area there are also many cool cafes I stayed for an hour before I got there.

Very cute place and above all different from everything else that one can see in Vienna (at least, as far as I know)! There is a gallery with shops and cafe. The prices are like everywhere else in the city. Definitely a very cute and charming place to walk by once in Vienna!

An interesting change to the (generally) baroque architecture in old Vienna. There is a small shopping mall in the same style opposite the main building, which is more interesting inside than out. If you are on a tight schedule, I would give it a miss as it takes about 20-30 minutes from the old city centre.

love the architecture, although it's a little bit sad when no leaves on the threes, still a great spot to see when in vienna ! the gallery right under is definitely a must-see, everything is so cute and adorable !

It’s an interesting building with lots of architectural details — if you’re into design and structure, you could easily spend time exploring and discussing it. If it’s on your way, definitely worth a stop.

Great little stop on the hop on hop off experience! 30 minutes is more than enough time to go see the house, take some pictures, buy some souvenirs (if that is your thing) and make it back for the next bus. It is also an easy enough walk back to city center (45-50 minutes) if you want to stretch your legs a bit instead. Worth it.

Fascinating to see. We walked over on Ascension Day and it was fairly busy in the afternoon. There's an arcade of shops too with colourful souvenirs including pottery and artwork. Access to the building itself isn't possible as people live there but there's enough to see from the outside.
