This hotel is in a great position for exploring Tokyo, being just one stop away from the busy Shinjuku area and with easy access to most other areas of Tokyo. There are two subway stations within only a few minutes walk to the hotel. We stayed in a room which had a lovely city view and on a clear day we could see Mount Fuji. The room was well appointed with a separate toilet and a powerful shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was a microwave in the room. The laundry room was free to use and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The surrounding area was pleasant to walk around with many convenience stores nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Hundred Stay.

The good: ||Location is solid - a single subway stop from Shinjuku proper, but just far enough away that it's quiet at night. Two subway stations within less than 10 minutes walk. Several great konbini (convenience stores) very close. Lots of restaurants in the area.||Water was hot. Pressure was good. AC was cold. Wifi wasn't amazing, but acceptable. If you like a firm bed, you'll enjoy the mattress. If not...||Staff were helpful and efficient.||The meh:||Rooms aren't serviced daily, but they do leave fresh towels and water outside your door every afternoon. Rooms are small - you're either on the bed, in the bathroom, or out the door. Limited space for luggage... Our bags were just on the floor next to our beds.||As mentioned, lots of restaurants nearby, but interestingly very few are "Japanese.". There's tons of Chinese, Korean, Nepali, kebab, etc joints in walking distance, but options for sushi, ramen, tonkatsu, etc, etc are quite limited.||Common areas are fine, but relatively spartan.||Bottom line: we had a perfectly acceptable stay with no major issues, but the room was small enough relative to price that I wouldn't consider it a great value, and the dining options in the area were limited enough (compared to our wish to eat classically Japanese cuisine) that I wouldn't stay here again in the future.

We had a very good stay in this hotel. The location is great. Just takes 2-3 mins to walk to subway station. The front desk staffs are great especially Liu and Jhou who are very helpful. Room is clean and spacious as compared with other hotels in Shinjuku. They provide free stroller as long as you reserve in advance. This is very convenient for us.It would be nice if they can provide breakfast.

Everything was satisfactory. It was quite spacious of a Japanese hotel. It is very near to Okubo Station which is just one station away from Shibuya. Since we arrived here from Fujikawaguchiko via Shinjuku Station and we went for a day trip to Kamakura also via Shinjuku Station, it was very convenient. Close to halal eateries as well. The room was very clean and we love the comfy bed especially. We also had a free view of Fuji Mount from our room!

The room definitely showed its age - the wallpaper was peeling and the shower was mouldy in between the cracks. The ceiling was pretty thin since we heard the people staying above us walking. They also only clean the rooms every 4 days unlike other places that clean every day. However, the location was good since it’s close to stations. I feel like this hotel should be 3 stars at most.

We travelled mid May for a trip around several cities in Japan. Family of 5, with one teenager who is in a wheelchair.||Despite the fact that we did find it a little challenging on arrival in Japan, with lots of luggage and a wheelchair to push etc, we managed to make it to our hotel without much difficulty.||Getting to the hotel from Narita airport was easy and just one stop away from Shinjuku station.||Anyway, Okubo station and shin-okubo station are pretty much just a couple of minutes and a few minutes away respectively.||The hotel is perfectly fine, and caters without issue for tourists etc. The reception staff were kind, polite and helpful, gave us a lot of info if required.||We had a family suite on one of the top floors and the room was large enough for us all to move around, have some space, and to store luggage off to the side without it limiting any space. The rooms were clean and tidy and are well decorated, they are designed for more business style, so plain, but modern and comfortable. Decorated nicely but nothing overstated. For all the time we spend in the room, it doesn’t need to be this 5 star palacial room. It’s just need to be clean, smartly presented, and have the amenities needed.||We never had any issues with WiFi etc. Worked fine for us.||Beds were large and were comfortable, and the bathrooms and separate toilets were good. The toiletries supplied by the hotel were of EXCELLENT quality, so much so that we actually found where we could buy it and bring it home.||The hotel don’t clean the rooms daily, but it wouldn’t be an issue if this was requested, but this is commonplace and almost standard now across the world, and rooms are only cleaned every 4 days. But most people don’t spend much time in rooms and not much mess to be made for what are mostly 3-4 day stays or if on business mostly 1-2 days. Absolutely not an issue for us. Fresh towels and a bag of toiletries and drinks for fridge were provided every day, and they collected the trash outside the room if you left it out. ||Elevators are quick and you never had to wait long for it. Took us only a few seconds or so to go around 12 floors.||The local area has plenty of places to eat, most are Korean, Chinese etc, but there are loads of Japanese style foods on offer as well. There’s a few konbini markets dotted around every street, with 7-Eleven, Lawson and Family Mart nearby. There’s fresh fruit shops and a smaller Donki store down the street near okubo station as well as the usual European/American fare like McDonalds etc. There’s also a dominos pizza attached to the hotel building round the side. So if you are looking for something closer to home (don’t know why you would, but hey, not my choice) then you have more familiar options to you if you choose.||It’s only a several minute walk to the middle of Shinjuku and Kabukicho, and there’s lots of shops and food places EVERYWHERE.||But all in all, can’t fault the hotel, it’s located close to the train stations which had great links. The hotel is quiet and it accommodated everything we needed. |I would maybe stay nearer Ueno if I came back again as it’s closer to things I want to do, but I wouldn’t have any problems coming back to this hotel again. If it is an option in future I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at your hotel! The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and always attentive. The hotel itself was spotless, very comfortable, and well located. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable – we’ll definitely come back and recommend it to others!

The hotel was centrally located, but it fell short in many areas. The room was very small, and the bathroom was also uncomfortably tiny. The rooms were not clean, and since housekeeping was only provided every four days, we ended up staying in a dirty room. The beds were extremely hard, and we woke up every morning with back pain. Honestly, I wonder which village the people who say the rooms were spacious and clean came from.
