I highly recommend this Museum as your very first stop in Budapest!
The history of Hungary is well-organized and presented in an engaging manner!
You will better appreciate everything else this beautiful city and rich national culture have to offer!
Prioritize the history portion if you don’t have much time. It is worth it!
Must-sees: King St. Stephen’s coronation mantle from 1,000 years ago and Beethoven’s piano that was given to Liszt after Beethoven’s death and he, in turn, donated to the Museum.
If you have time, visit everything! There is a temporary exhibition that, in my opinion, presents the best concept ever! Fantastic content, pertinent message, immersive audio-visual effects, and much more! The video attached does not make justice to it but it gives you an idea!
The Museum offers a Café and a Gift Shop! Many books in English, French, Spanish, and German, including handy Budapest guides.
Definitely visit this place! You won’t regret!!!
