Tried some Korean BBQ — food was 🔥, place was super clean, and the vibes were solid. Our waitress was on point the whole time and made sure we were good. Had fun, left full. Definitely recommend!

if you are good at grilling or have some experience, then this is the best place. When I was a kid, I always eat hot food fresh out of the stove or oven. I cannot eat cold food. So this place is best for me. Always make sure to tell them to set the temperature to medium once the pot is hot, or you can do it yourself. Their spicy beef gulgogi is the best. If you do not use their white yum yum sauce with the bbq meat then you are a fool and should stop going there. that sauce with lettuce and with bbq meat make it taste amazing with full of flavors. I would go there all the time but I have to watch my weight. the only thing I don't like about this place is that the ventilation is missing on top of the table. the korean bbq place I go to in Manhattan has a vent with fan on each table so if you accidentally burn the meat, the smoke gets pulled outside instead of suffocating you. I guess you just have to be careful and flip the meat frequently.

I came here for the first time not knowing what to expect and I was so impressed! You a your party get a private table with an interactive barbecue and hot pot experience. Being able to cook to meat myself was so fun and interactive, I loved it! I would definitely recommend coming here, whether for a special event or just regular evening out!

Google
10/10 experience! From the food to the service, everything at this Korean hot pot BBQ spot was perfect. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly kind and patient. Every dish was flavorful and fresh—we truly enjoyed every bite. Can’t wait to go back! They even came around and gave my three little adorable keychains!

From the moment I step through the doors, I am immediately greeted with the warmth and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance of your space is cozy yet vibrant, with the perfect balance of energy and comfort. The scent of sizzling meat, the buzz of conversation, and the subtle hum of excitement from people getting ready to cook their own meals are just a few of the things that make me feel at home. But what really sets you apart from other restaurants is the experience you offer. Cooking my own meal at the table might sound simple, but it’s something that makes me feel so connected to the food. There’s something inherently satisfying about being able to watch the marinated meats sizzle and cook in front of me, carefully turning them over to achieve the perfect level of crispness and tenderness. It's like an interactive show, and I’m the star chef of my own meal. The smell that fills the air while grilling the meat? Absolutely irresistible. Beyond the food and the fun of grilling, the service at Hungry Pot is always outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They’re always ready to offer recommendations, explain the menu, and make sure everything is just right. It’s that personal touch that really elevates the experience.

Google
Good service great food… staff was extremely friendly and helpful… its was my first time… looking forward to visiting again… only one all meat was sugary and sweet. I like meat to be salty and spicy… please give me some item that are salty and spicy next… thanks

I so much enjoyed the hotpot. I went with my daughter and favorite son in law and it was just delightful. The atmosphere was fun, the people were friendly and I will definitely be coming back. Three cheers for hungry pot.

Yelp
First off drinks - I typically don't order any cocktails when it comes to kbbq. I normally get traditional soju to accompany my meal. They do have other options on the drink menu And a full bar. Service - always greeted upon arrival and normally don't need to wait long, since I normally dine early with my husband around 6-6:30 PM. A server always greets us for drinks orders and to go over ordering on their tablets. Ambiance - I love seeing the variety of adults and kids in their booths enjoying their meal. With the booths weren't so high but I guess that's good for some privacy. Pretty solid as kbbq establishments go. Of course, nothing compares to southern Cali kbbq and their buzzers for service, big variety of meats and seafood. Food - once ordered through the tablet, food comes pretty fast. Maybe one time we've gone and didn't get one meat ordered but by just letting the server know they brought it out with it promptly. We could just always add it on another round of food orders. The quality of meats and vegetables are satisfying. We always order the thinner cut meats since it's easier to season or is better seasoned already. There's a variety of condiments, onions, jalapeños, etc that we add to our grill for extra flavor. They frequently change the grill often too which is nice so it doesn't get too smoky. They also come by often to help cook the food. Their dipping sauce, condiments and banchan bar is solid. There's a big variety to choose from ss you would get with banchan. There are fries, chicken, egg rolls and crab legs and such too for the kids and seafood lovers at the food bar. I wouldn't get the crab legs myself since it probably just gets too cooked under the warmer. That's the great thing though...I'm not into it so I could just get the food that I want! There's always ice cream offered at the end and it's simplicity is a nice way to end the meal here. Whew! That's all I have to say lol. I'm just so happy to have something reminiscent of Cali here in CT!

Yelp
4.5 stars - great value, attentive service, everything we ate was delicious! We tried the all-you-can-eat KBBQ today and had our expectations exceeded. You order meats, seafood and vegetables from an iPad and help yourself to sauces, banchan, crab legs and fried foods from the buffet line. The service was attentive, always making sure to cook, flip and portion our food promptly. Everything we ate, from the KBBQ meats, the crab legs, to the sauces, the french fries and ice cream were surprisingly good. For $33 a person for dinner (+$5 if you want to do both hotpot and KBBQ) this is an incredible value. We would 100% come back!

Yelp
I was surprised how much I liked this place. Great to take the kids too! The food was delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked -- I asked for more rice because it was so good with this incredibly sauce I concocted at the buffet -- soy, fresh ginger, some other stuff I can't remember - poured over the rice was delicious. Good quality chicken, veggies and noodles. All you can eat ice cream at the end is over the top. Great lunch deal!

Yelp
The food was excellent. They sometimes forget an item or two, but you can order more with the iPad they provide. There are lots of options and great vibes.

Yelp
We went and had the hot pot and it was delicious. I love how you order off the iPad. I love the ambience. It's quite fun to go for the first time. The food is amazing. I will be back.

Yelp
bro, if i lived here id put this place out of business with those snow crabs! can you believe its included for $30 all you can eat kbbq?!!! i think i ate more of the crabs and buffet food than the actual kbbq. the server was so nice and friendly too- i never felt rushed to eat. i do wish they had the traditional korean banchan sides and steamed egg and soybean or kimchi stew but beggars can't be choosers. i'll be thinking about this meal for a while. ‍‍

Yelp
So LRoth and I have been here a few times since opening. Portions are good. The cuts of meat are marinated well with a decent selection. You have all the classics, bulgogi, galbi, pork, chicken, pork belly, shrimp, etc. There won't be any exotic cuts, which is fine by me. I wish they had a wider selection of veggies. I wish they had more banchan though. There's a small little buffet area to make your sauce with only a few sides. Pretty good spot if you're looking for AYCE. Don't go expecting the highest levels of cuts though.

Yelp
One of my favorite kbbq places in CT! I enjoy it so much and will definitely be coming back. The food gets delivered fast and the servers often check in on you. I also love the environment and the music they play.

Yelp
I enjoyed coming here! We were quickly seated and started noshing on the appetizers. It was clean and very inviting. I was astounded that the crayfish were decently sized and the appetizer assortment was quite expansive. We has the individual hotpots for the broth, vegetables, seafoods and dumplings. And utilized the grill for proteins. Quality of everything was excellent and am planning future visits

Yelp
We had a great meal here. Everything was fresh, delicious and fast. Ordering is through a tablet and the pricing isn't bad. for dinner it was $32 and an extra $5 if you want to do both kbbq and hotpot (worth it!). the kbq selection was small, we mostly just had the galbi and bugulgi. Both had good marinades. the steak and flap didn't have any marinade. oh nd the garlic shrimp was good. You can get scallions from the mini buffet and lettuce to wrap the kbbq meat in. there's kimchi and radish bonchon at the buffet. There's a mini buffet station. Make sure you make sauces for your hotpot! there was also fried chicken, spring rolls, crawfish and snow crab. and fruit. There were even tools and gloves for the snow crab/crawfish Justin was our server and he was great, even cooked the kbbq meat for us. Ordering through the tablet was seamless and easy, and the food came out lightning fast. This was a great meal. All the servers were really nice and seemed to like working with each other too. We had a great dinner here!

Yelp
I've been looking forward to trying this place since they opened this summer. Sadly, I was quite disappointed. As you enter and take a look around, you get the feeling your in a sad cafeteria from 1980. Rows of booth seating, stark decor and weird neon sign on the ceilings. McDonalds has better decor. Met my friends at the "bar" while we waited for everyone to arrive. The "bartender" didn't know how to make a simple martini, used triple sec instead of vermouth. My friend had to tell her how to make it. So I figured I'll order a simple white wine which ended up tasted like a wine cooler. We ordered the BBQ. The food itself was not horrible but rather unremarkable. As a party of 5, the burners are quite small so we had to cook in small batches which meant everyone got a small bite at a time, which was a bit annoying. Certain foods take longer to cook (potatoes, squash, pork belly) which take up space on the burners. The bbq requires that you use butter on the burners, many, many small packets of butter. The seafood is clearly all previously frozen and soggy. The salad bar was ok but not remarkable. The cream puffs were horrible and seemed out of place at a Korean restaurant. The servers were pleasant and speedy bringing out your order and cleaning off the tables. As soon as we left, three out of five of us complained of severe bloated bellies and it wasn't because we ate too much. In the end most of us really didn't eat much since it did take long to cook our foods. I would only recommend if you're taking your kids there, as I think it would be fun for them. Otherwise, be prepared for a poor quality chain restaurant.

Yelp
The Hungry Pot @hungrypotusa Westport, CT #koreanbbq #koreanfood #foodie #bbq #food #foodporn #allyoucaneat #kbbq #korean #instafood #foodstagram #koreanrestaurant #kimchi #ayce #beef #koreancuisine #foodexplorertribe I recently dined at Hungry Pot, a delightful Korean BBQ restaurant nestled in Westport, CT, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who made me feel right at home. The ambiance was inviting, with sleek and modern decor that set the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! The selection of meats and accompanying side dishes was outstanding. Each cut of meat was incredibly fresh and expertly marinated, resulting in mouthwatering flavors that left me craving for more. The DIY grilling concept added an element of fun and interactive dining, allowing me to cook my meats to perfection right at the table. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. In conclusion, Hungry Pot is a gem of a restaurant in Westport, CT, offering delectable Korean BBQ dishes, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned BBQ enthusiast or new to Korean cuisine, I highly recommend paying a visit to Hungry Pot for a truly unforgettable dining experience.

Yelp
Excellent, no frills, absolutely delicious place that is absolutely amazing bang for the buck. We had both the hotpot and barbecue. Usually buffet places don't have that great of a quality food, but we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of what was on offer here. We especially enjoyed the bulgogi and marinated beef short ribs. Service was super efficient, dishes came out minutes after we entered the order. Super pleased that they've opened in Westport, a great addition to the Asian cuisine selection in town!

Yelp
Went this past weekend. Opening weekend and went for an early dinner. I called to see if they take reservations and they did. Which was great. The food was great both hot pot and bbq. Service was good and the tables are nice and big so everyone sit comfortably and can eat. Pricing isn't bad either.

Yelp
Family style and welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and fresh food! Going back again!

Yelp
I've been coming here since they opened in February. Great service, choice of hot pot or Korean BBQ or both. Meats are always fresh, and as with any buffet, unlimited. Lunch is cheaper and less meat options, but definitely a bargain. Dinner has large shrimp, higher quality of beef, crab legs, etc. If you have someone with a birthday, they're free (need party of 4). Birthday person also gets half off if 3 days before or after.Tell Jerry or Sharon that Steven C, sent you!

Yelp
I've gone once before and it was a great dining experience for the all you can eat seafood. Unfortunately, last Thursday September 19th, my family and I went in the evening to dine in and we were asked what we would like to eat, and we answered seafood. The host then said the restaurant was closing and we could not order because the kitchen is closed but offered take out as an option. If the kitchen is closed who's cooking the food for take out? According to the host there was a staff meeting being held but no notice on the website or the front door. There were also other individuals dining during this time. We held out on eating throughout the day to celebrate two birthdays, but unfortunately we weren't able to. I would recommend the management to communicate better with staff because we're not sure what was true or not. Especially with seeing other people dining and being offered take out. Or to let customers know that the business will be closed early on specific days. That way we don't waste our time.

Yelp
Probably our favorite buffet but more options would have received 5 stars. Not all was perfect but perfection is not expected. I can't recommend most of the "American" food which was all on the cold side. I had bad luck with choosing watermelon slices that were underripe or something, but that's it. The rest of the food was deeelicious. The place was clean, staff were friendly and kept the tables clear. The price is good too. We WILL be back and that's no lie.

Yelp
Great bang for buck! My family and I came in during lunch for the all you can eat hot pot for 20 dollars. Delicious! The service was excellent. We cannot wait to come back and try their kbbq!

Yelp
First time trying hotpot in Connecticut, did not have much expectations coming in however, I knew this place has been open fairly new so definitely wanted to try it out. Upon arrival on a Tuesday afternoon 3 pm during lunch time, there were no customers there with only staff members occupied standing and sitting down. We were able to sit anywhere and they placed us next to the sauce bar. Did the tomato broth soup. Order on the iPad to place orders of the items and fairly simple like the usual hotpot experience. Great variety of sauces at the sauce bar station, however, they are lacking on the hot foods at the bar with only chicken nuggets, fries, and spring rolls. They did have a good different options for the banchan (side dishes). Overall, meat quality was decent and it's a good deal for all-you-can-eat lunch for $20. Service was remarkable but also probably due to us being the only ones in the establishment. Overall good experience.

George L.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of hot pot, but this place is really good! My family loves this place. Service is great! Fun place for a birthday!

Emily R.

Yelp
Everything here is a 10/10!!! Food and service were amazing. Portion sizes were incredible. Awesome spot for a group setting.

J V.

Yelp
Our experience was not great. The staff is so new and under managed, they don't quite know the menu. Hot tea came in plastic cups as they don't have mugs yet. Serving plates came wet. The food selection for hot pot is what you can find in a cheap frozen section of any Asian supermarket. I got miso broth and it had no flavor whatsoever. Serving spoons are metal and it is unclear how one is supposed to not get burnt at any point of time. We almost got run over by a lady carrying a hot bbq plate in a narrow isle without any advance warning and no eye contact either. They just opened, so maybe there is hope they improve?

Annabel W.

Yelp
Excellent! Definitely do some research on hotpot's and what Korean bbq is before you come in, very unique experience. All the food was great, very clean. Our server was very friendly!

Lulu C.

Yelp
I was super excited when I saw that Hungry Pot was open in Westport as there really isn't a hot pot or Korean bbq in the area (we had been going go KPot in Orange). Well, needless to say, it was a major let down. The fatty beef (beef belly) was only the fat half of the slice and for some reason no one wanted to take our dirty plates, which piled up (this was also true at the bar as we waited for our table - no one cleared the empties even though we ordered drinks). ambience and decorations are also a bit lacking. Service was otherwise friendly. Unfortunately we're going to wait a few months before returning as the kinks are worked out. Will return and update accordingly. Until then, we'll continue going to orange!

Karen F.

Yelp
been here twice and it's a fun meal lots of choices for the soup the staff is very helpful and it's all you can eat! lots of birthday celebrations because you get a free meal and the staff comes out and sings Happy Birthday.

Yelp
a couple of weeks ago I posted and gave 3 stars. I had visited on a Saturday night and was very unhappy. I said I'd try it one more time. I went on a Wednesday and had a game plan. first the salad bar where I dined on crab legs and crawfish. we all love crab legs so I'll talk about the crawfish. they were a tad small but insanely delicious. make sure you get some sauce. really good. after stuffing ourselves, we ordered food. here's where you need to be careful. order the meats and veggies first, absolutely get the spicy chicken which is delicious but not spicy. after you finish the meats, order again, it's seafood time. garlic shrimp good, octopus decent, spicy tuna, not spicy but delicious. after dinner, dad and I had a few more crablegs and crawfish. Delicious. We than paid and rolled out the door very happy. Pass on the dessert, uneventful but by than, we were stuffed. One hint, let the staff cook for you until you get the hang of it. Leave 18-20% tip. They're good people.
