Missouri’s Cheese Caves Are a Mystery

"The Hunt Midwest SubTropolis in Kansas City is located in a 270-million-year-old limestone deposit that lies 150 feet below ground. Today, the business labyrinth is home to cave-aged cheeses, coffee, and more foods." - Anne Roderique-Jones

I wish I had known more before I pulled in here with a big truck. I'd never loaded in a cave before so I didn't know what to expect. Call before you enter so you don't meet any trucks on their way out and get some solid directions as to where you're going once you get inside and what pillar the business you're going to is near. I loaded at Bayer and the staff inside was nice and got me loaded quick. The only problem is, yes, it is extremely tight for a big truck. Plus blind side backing. Also lots of drivers inside drive way to fast. If you miss your business you're looking for (as I did) prepare for a very tight back and forth to get turned around. Anyways, hope this helps another driver. Be safe!

I went here for the Groundhog Run. This place was amazing. I wish they would have more runs here. It was very cold and windy outside, they had shuttles come pick the racers up and dropped us off at the entrance. I will definitely be racing here next year. It was a highlight of my season so far.

Quick unload and overnight parking. Just wish there was better situation for backing but ask for help and no problem spotting you. Awesome people thank you
