Hunter Prince Castle & Dracula

We didn’t stay here, just stopped for lunch after visiting the Turda Salt Mines. The place is beautifully designed, like stepping back in time. Part of the decor includes animal taxidermy on the walls, so keep that in mind if it might bother you. The food was tasty – the vegetarian burger was very good, but the salmon burger was less impressive. Prices were reasonable, and the service was good.

In May this year we were visiting the city of Turda - and we were looking for a spot to grab something to eat - so after a quick search on the www - this was the place chosen from amongst the options that popped-up. |The location also has a hotel - but this review is only about the restaurant - the "Hunter Prince" restaurant. |Located close to the city center - you can park a few meters away on one of the nearby streets - or on the premises if you are lucky - and walk to the spot. |We've been seating on the terrace - since the weather on that day of May was really good for dinning outside. |Service - very good - almost no waiting time for drinks and food. |Food - plenty of great choices on the menu - but what caught my eye was the bear roast - indeed Bear you are reading it right , it is more than 10 years since I had a bear dish - and it was really great together with the mushroom rice - a very good choice. |My girlfriend went for the "Deer" Burger - and that one was another tasty option. |The menu is extensive - so if you want a vegetarian choice you can also find it - and more traditional dishes are on the menu too. |Drinks selection is also very rich - so for sure you'll find something that you like. |Prices - I would say mid-range towards the upper area of the range, but on the other hand is not everyday you get a roast bear steak or a deer burger. What I can say, for sure there are more pocket friendly options on the menu, it is up to you to choose what you would like to have. A very good price to quality ratio - that is for sure.|When in Turda, and you would like to have something really special for lunch or dinner - look no further - try this restaurant - it is worth it.

Poor serving and big prices for average quality dished, waiters are unfriendly and rude. This is a place to avoid, i won't get back there ever.|There are a lot of better places to have a dinner, at a more correct prices with more tasty dishes....

Came here after the visit of the Salina Turda. It is a great place. Waiter gave us a nice place to sit. Menucard can be used by the phone. I was able to order, then my phone was empty. I could reload my phone in the service place. Food came in time. All nine people on the table were fine with the food. The food was excellent and was cooked on point. Thanks for the nice afternoon.

Went for lunch there and it was the best decision. Just get the large plate with boar, rabbit and antler meat paired with a bottle of red wine. It is enough for 4 persons and it tastes amazing. Also the location is very nicely built with a lovely interior garden and lots of thematic decorations

After all reviews we were a bit disappointed as the food was mediocre and the wines limited - the actual choice of main course was very limited- the staff were lovely but it seems like the restaurant was dependent upon older people wanting an “authentic “ experience which was not there

I was a guest at this amazing hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. In the photos you will see various dishes that are served on the menu. They also have a wide selection of game meats as well to include bear, boar, and deer. The breakfast is also very hearty and delicious. Definitely recommend a stay at the hunter prince castle!

Service??? No service. Do you have a table for 2? Yes! That one! And after 30’ not a whisper. Probably the food is good But the service is higher class than the guests. That’s it.
