Hurawalhi Island Resort

Me and my wife travelled to Hurawalhi for our honeymoon and it was an outstanding experience. ||The resort itself is beautiful, we stayed in a sunset beach villa and it was very spacious and kitted out with all the amenities that you could think of. ||The restaurants on the island are great and offered a wide variety of food. I would highly recommend dining at the 5.8 underwater restaurant as well as the Teppanyaki!||We were regular visitors at the Sulha Spa, there are a wide variety of treatments available and the staff are very friendly and attentive.||There are a number of activities/excursions available to try out, we personally had a snorkelling lesson, jet ski trip and the sunset dolphin cruise; all amazing experiences with very friendly staff. The games room is also a very fun space!||I want to finish off this review by recognising what made this trip truly magical, and that would be the staff. Our island host, Sam, was absolutely fantastic. His calm and friendly demeanour was delightful. We were in contact with him via WhatsApp throughout our entire stay, he replied quickly and got things sorted out seamlessly. I ended up dropping my phone on the seabed whilst snorkelling and Sam managed to get a diver out asap to retrieve my phone, saving me lots of hassle! ||I would then like to say a big thanks to all of the staff at the restaurants. We would like to say a big thanks to Ruwindi and Jessica at Cannelli, Casmir at JFK as well as various other staff at Kushibo. I would also like to say thanks to Nano for a memorable dining experience at Teppanyaki. They remembered us by name and were just so friendly everyday, always greeting us with a big smile on their face. I wish the very best for all of the staff.||If you’re looking for a boutique, adult only resort with plenty to do and most importantly, friendly staff, please look no further than Hurawalhi, you won’t be disappointed!

It’s been a while since my stay at Hurawalhi in December 2024, but I’ve been holding off on writing this review because it almost feels like once I do, the trip is officially over. I still find myself reliving the experience every day through Hurawalhi’s Instagram stories and wishing I were back there.||From the moment we arrived, the level of service and attentiveness from every staff member was simply exceptional. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some incredible resorts before, but nothing has ever come close to this. Our host, Yuum, deserves a special mention – she was always responsive, warm, and welcoming, greeting us with a smile every single day and assisting us with any questions or requests.||During our 6-day stay, we went on three excursions, two of which were led by Taichi. His passion for marine life and his dedication to giving us the best possible experience were truly remarkable. Swimming up close with manta rays was an unforgettable highlight, and thanks to his photography and videography skills, we now have breathtaking memories captured forever. On our dolphin excursion, I was almost convinced we wouldn’t spot any after a long search, but Taichi’s determination paid off. What followed was one of the most magical moments of my life – watching dolphins up close, with no one else around but us. These private, intimate experiences made everything feel even more special.||The food at Hurawalhi far exceeded our expectations. Every restaurant was excellent, and even the daily breakfast and dinner buffets impressed us with their quality and variety. We found ourselves genuinely looking forward to every meal – something I never thought I’d say about a buffet. Of course, dining at the iconic 5.8 Undersea Restaurant was an absolute must. The combination of stunning views and exquisite cuisine created an unforgettable dining experience.||Overall, Hurawalhi has set a new standard for what a tropical beach holiday should be. The service, the experiences, the food, and the atmosphere were beyond anything we could have hoped for. I cannot recommend it enough, and I’m already dreaming of the day I return.

An amazing resort in a beautiful country. Facilites, dining, excursions all First class. Since it was adults only, it lent to a very relaxing, unhurried holiday. We love to travel around the world and usually only visit places once but we will definitely return to Hurawalhi again for our next beach holiday! Highly recommend!

A truly relaxing stay in one of the most picturesque settings imaginable. The over water villa and the beach villa that we stayed offer privacy, comfort, and breathtaking views. Service was warm and professional, and the food consistently high quality. The highlight dining experience is the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, the world’s largest all‑glass underwater venue. The multi‑course seafood tasting menu is exceptional—and unforgettable experience. A taste of paradise!!!!

Hurawalhi was our 21st holiday in the Maldives. We were very surprised by the service at this resort. Our Island Host Afrah was kind and helpful each time we needed something. The cleanliness of the island was perfect, our villa was clean all the time aswell, all thanks to our housekeeper Peter. Snorkeling around the island was stunning and the beaches were very nice too. We enjoyed all the restaurants this resort offers, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service was great. We’d like to especially thank Dilan and Cashmir, they made our holiday even more enjoyable. We also visited the 5.8 underwater restaurant, it was a really nice experience, perfect service and even better food. Along with all that, our son has enjoyed the watersports, all the personnel there was very friendly. |Thank you and see you at December!

An amazing experience. Stunning environment, well-appointed villas that are comfortable and private. The quality of the food is exceptional and the service by all is so attentive. The underwater 5.8 restaurant is a magical experience. I highly recommend Hurawalhi!

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary in the Maldives, and although we have had some lovely holidays on different islands, we thought we'd try a new resort, and chose Hurawalhi. We're so glad we did! We loved all aspects of the resort. We stayed in a water villa, which was really comfortable, with a large deck, perfect for relaxing, with options for sitting in the shade, or sunbathing, whichever you might prefer. The staff at Hurawalhi are incredible, knowing our names from day one. Our host was Hajar, who was lovely, and always available for advice, or ready to make bookings for us. Majeed, our waiter, was a star, and made each meal something to look forward to. I can't name all the staff in the restaurant and bar who looked after us so well, which is a pity, because they would all deserve it. There's something about Hurawalhi that is so relaxing, which was exactly the vibe we were looking for. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This is an outstanding resort. Very intimate because it’s small. The villas and restaurants are flawless. The customer service by all the staff was top notch. ||Our island host was Hajar and she was lovely. Yuda in the reservations office was very helpful and responsive to anything I asked. Sinan who cleaned our room every day was efficient, friendly and made our villa spotless. The water sports staff were great and we felt very safe in their hands. Rashad took us snorkeling at Kuredu and the weather was terrifying on the return journey but he took amazing care of us. Staff at the restaurants were all so friendly, particularly Mahjeed who looked after our table often and we always felt happy when we saw him. Akil at the Coco Bar was always eager to make our day better too. We also enjoyed meeting Razee, the manager of the seaplanes and boats, and had a long and enjoyable conversation with him. Also, Abaan performs at the Coco Bar on Tuesdays and his voice is so beautiful and dreamy. I could listen to him sing all night. ||The game room was great and we enjoyed ping pong and pool almost every night. The guy who attends to the fitness center was very friendly too. ||There is 'only' one community pool but it was picturesque and NEVER crowded. In fact, the resort is designed so it never feels crowded. ||My only critique would be that it offers an all-inclusive package but not everything is included. Some water sports, some activities, some meals etc are not included. Make sure you stay on top of all the rules. ||Overall, I would recommend this resort to anyone. It is am amazing experience and top-tier service.
