"On a reserved stretch of Jensen Beach, guests breathe in the salty sea air at the Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa and get a taste of why nearby Stuart, Florida, was once celebrated as America's Happiest Seaside Town. Guest rooms are immediately reminiscent of the beach scene with clean whites alternating with sailor navy blues throughout the furnishings, and herringbone floors add a subtle touch of something special. The overlooking ocean is front and center at the resort, acting as the centerpiece at dining venues, the inspiration for spa treatments, and the view from every room. Thoughtful staff deliver small touches like fresh-baked muffins in the morning and cookies at night to make stays—even with unreal ocean views—feel just like home. There are even opportunities to witness and help clear the beach for sea turtle nestings—a quite literal example of how Jensen Beach welcomes guests from all walks of life." - CNT Editors

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like VIPs—genuinely warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The entire resort is beautifully maintained, with a relaxing, upscale coastal vibe. Our room was spotless, stylish, and had a breathtaking ocean view. The restaurant, Drift Kitchen + Bar, was fantastic—fresh, flavorful food and exceptional service every time. This is the kind of place you don’t want to leave. Already planning our return!

Perfect in every way! Gorgeous and impecable rooms and resort. We ate in the Drift Restaurant every day and it was outstanding. Nashaun was our server and she made it special. From the valet to the front desk and everyone we came in contact with were so friendly, polite and helpful. Everyone wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. And it was!!! Beautiful beach and pools and service. Will definitely return!

Never tried one of these resort hotels and to be honest I wasn't expecting to like it as much as getting an Airbnb beach house rental, but we had a great time and have only good things to say about this place. If you're looking for a hotel resort on the beach, this is a great choice for it. The resort is right on the beach and has some nice pools overlooking the beach to hang out in. The food in the hotel restaurant was tasty and we didn't get anything we didn't like. The kids had a blast. The whole thing is set up nicely too with the elevators emptying out right to the beach/pool area so it's easy access to get back to the rooms, and you don't have to leave the resort to get anything. There's complimentary water bottles, cookies, and fruit, and the restaurant has food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service was great too. Check it out if you're looking for a beach weekend at a medium-sized resort hotel.

I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a conference and I can’t wait to come back for a proper vacation. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited, and the cleanest beach hotel I’ve ever seen. The room and the entire grounds were immaculate. The service was amazing, from Joseph at the front desk, Jason in valet, the entire team on the second floor helping with the conference; all of them were personable, kind, and went out of their way to provide a good experience. My boyfriend got a massage from Sonia and said it was the best massage he’s ever had. Thank you for a wonderful time. My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer this trip!

Google
Wonderful oceanfront hotel. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great amenities, bottled water available for guests on each floor, fruit, muffins and granola bars every morning and fresh baked cookies every evening. Perfect location on the beach and 2 pools to cool off in. Room was very comfortable and loved our oceanfront balcony. Highly recommend this hotel.

Went for a long weekend. It’s was very relaxing with very attentive and friendly staff. The frozen drinks were really good. Only note is we wish room was a little bigger and breakfast didn’t cost $79 but besides that amazing experience!! We will definitely be back!

For starters, the site being able to accept forms of payment for deposit that aren’t able to be used once you actually arrive doesn’t make sense. Forms of payment should be very descriptive. But it’s evident once you arrive why it’s not discussed because the resort only wants to be able to charge the card randomly without an explanation of what is being charged for. Let’s not mention, to eat in the restaurant and pay $69 for an entree, you better finish your food or eat lightly because not having a microwave on the resort is a complete disservice. To mention smells just sounds like a dumb excuse of not providing such service when you can either have a common area or microwave in each room. Staff calling daily asking for more funds saying it’s the resort fee knowing that has already been paid during check in or pre authorization as the staff states. One staff member explained to me that the resort just needs to have extra funds available for just in case which is understood however other staff will follow up behind saying it’s just the resort fee as we run the card for the total amount of stay each night. Only sounds like highway robbery, I’m glad I used the card I used because that should teach you that I am only willing to pay for what I authorized and used not to just be allowing the resort to have fun with my funds whenever you decide. You need to train your staff better and improve your system. I’ve stayed at many resorts and never had issues with payment nor have I ever had a resort trying to charge me everyday especially since you’re paid at the initial check in. The view is great from the oceanfront side and valet is great but front desk staff and their inability to explain what they are charging each day sucks. Everyone should be on one accord especially when it come to money. After, speaking to multiple front desk representatives, and that representative spoke with the manager, I was called stating it was a computer glitch and they won’t be asking for any more money and to please give them another chance in the future. I wish I might after being harassed multiple days about payment after I’ve already paid 🙄

Google
Our stay at the Hutchinson was exceptional; the staff provided phenomenal service. While the room was somewhat compact, the exquisite view and wraparound balcony more than compensated. We enjoyed a perfect ocean view. The beach setup was delightful, with the hotel's convenient beachfront location. The poolside and restaurant cuisine was delicious. The hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. The oceanfront dining option was a significant advantage. The gym, though small, met our needs; alternatively, guests could enjoy a beach walk, a refreshing swim in the pool, or a dip in the ocean for exercise.

Yelp
Such a cozy, well-kept, classy place! The perfect hotel and spa for a relaxing getaway. I can be a germaphobe and loved that this place was super clean. It's steps away from the beach...I mean literally steps! They have ocean-view rooms, and though I didn't get one this time, I did have breakfast at their restaurant, Drift Kitchen + Bar, which overlooks their pool and the ocean. Such a nice way to enjoy your meal. The service was impeccable. From the moment I checked in, an employee, Joseph, made me feel right at home. One of the nights, I missed the cookie hour, (yes, they have free fresh-baked cookies out every day for their guests) I asked one of the employees who was stocking the water bottles if there were any more cookies. I didn't read the sign that they're available at a certain hour, but she still brought me some straight to my room after that interaction. Talk about above and beyond! Besides the great service, the food was SO GOOD! I went for a work event, and we had catered lunch everyday. Every single meal was so delicious. Props to the kitchen employees doing their thing! I also had my very first espresso martini here, and it was perfect. My new favorite drink! The conference/meeting rooms they had for our work event were nice and spacious and made for a successful event. Loved my room, the bathroom design and balcony. My ONLY complaint, and this is because I'm vain, is there is no full-length mirror in the rooms. But, that's not a biggie! Most are here to relax and unwind, so maybe a mirror isn't important ;) All-in-all, I would love to come back and stay at Hutchinson Shores again..maybe try out the spa! Oh, and they're dog-friendly. Amazing stay, totally recommend!

Yelp
Great get away spot and luxury spa resort for locals or out of town visitors! We stayed here on a staycation and had a great time from the valet parking to customers service to the ease on checking in was what you would expect for a resort, we were celebrating our anniversary and they even had a surprise gift in our room waiting! Nice touch guys! They have nice amenities in the resort, what I can say is more like a family resort when we were there as suppose for adults but then again just our occasion was more couples/adults! One tip I noticed is for the jacuzzi's try to get there early as alot people tend to go there as its a bit private and away from the crowd. We never got to go in but looked nice! We enjoyed the ocean views from our balcony room and on the beach. You can rent a chair for all day or an umbrella, my suggestion is rent it, you can leave it get a bite to eat and come back and your chairs and umbrella will be there waiting. Great location as its in a private beach and only people staying in hotel are around there. Overall great spot for a long weekend or a family vacation. Thank you guys!

Yelp
First time staying at Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa. The property is very well maintained. Service is top notch, attentive, and the smiles are everywhere. The accommodations are good. Our ocean-front room was spotlessly clean. Sitting on our balcony, watching the beach, was pleasant and relaxing! The bathroom was beautifully updated and sleek. My only complaint is that the doors are really heavy. Unfortunately, some guests tend to let the door close behind them and it closes very hard and loud. I am also a light sleeper so I heard lots of running and back and forth. I guess some inconsiderate guests. Great beach with turtle nest around. The resort had had free bottled water on every floor and cookies at night and fruit and muffins in morning. We will definitely return.

Yelp
What a fantastic property. We were here to have our corporate board meetings but wow was this hotel gorgeous. Beautifully designed and right on the water. The rooms were clean, the service at the restaurants on the bar was great, and the event staff was also fantastic. Really a nice one stop shop right on the beach.

Don R.

Yelp
We stayed at this resort for a company party. What a great experience we had. The location was beautiful everything from the decor to the views was spot on. The rooms were very nicely kept. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were soft. I will love to stay here again on another occasion.

Corey G.

Yelp
The rooms were very nice and modern with a nice coastal touch to it which is of course expected when staying at a beachfront hotel. The service was great including the restaurants! The location is also great and not far from downtown Stuart and many dining options. The food was fantastic I just wish during lunch time that they had more gluten free options because there wasn't really many at all. Dinner had more GF options. I would recommend this hotel! Great spot for a staycation or to get some relaxing and sun! I would say it's a bit overpriced but if you have the budget go for it!

Christy S.

Yelp
Stayed for a 2 night stay, it was absolutely beautiful and relaxing there. We had an ocean view plus wrap around patio, with amazing views. Hotel room was clean, bed comfy and everyone working there was friendly and very accommodating. The pools had plenty of spots to sit at, lots of shade if you needed it. Beach was gorgeous as well.

Chelsey F.

Yelp
I had a lovely overnight stay at this property. Onsite restaurants were great and happy hour at Drift was a nice treat. The room was comfortable and airy and the bed and linens were luxurious. I also enjoyed a relaxing spa service prior to check in. The hotel staff, especially Lynne Drazkowski went out of her way with thoughtful touches and ensured I had everything I needed. Looking forward to returning next time I'm in the area!

Bonnie M.

Yelp
We arrived for gift shopping and dining reservations at Drift Kitchen + Bar only, therefore unable to rate rooms. Please see my review of the Drift Kitchen + Bar regarding the restaurant.

Chris D.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Valet was quick and easy. Our room was amazing with the beachfront balcony and they left a little something in our room which was nice touch. Really enjoyed our stay and we ate breakfast both mornings at the restaurant on first floor. It was great and the dinner was also good. the gym was great as well and we loved the beach chairs as well. we will be back

Yelp
We are a family of five traveling with 3 boys. The resort was great, pool was heated, it was a good size so adults could swim without being splashed too much by children. Pool food was good for the price, staff were very attentive. The only downside was that they don't accommodate families of 5 in one room so we got 2 non-adjacent rooms on 2 different floors. We made it work regardless. Everything was clean, beach was super quiet (which we love). We would come back in a heartbeat. Many activities to do outside the resort for kids and family. It was a small weekend getaway for us. Stay 2 nights.

Bob G.

Yelp
Will write up review shortly... A lot to compliment and rave about. One of the best resorts we've ever stayed at...

Jyl B.

Yelp
This is my "Happy Place". And boy did I need this! From the moment you arrive, you feel peaceful. The staff is amazing. I must have forgotten to make a reservation; however the front desk receptionists handled it without an issue. Got us into an ocean front room and away we went for lunch. After an afternoon at the pool, off to The Drift for dinner. YUMMY! Best nights sleep in a long time. I don't want to leave and cannot wait to come back. Shout out to Candice at the Drift and the 3 front desk receptionists. Thank you so much. It is always awesome to feel welcomed and taken care of and the staff here does just that. Ps. Make sure you have the amaretto French toast for breakfast!!! Yummy does not begin to do it justice!

Yelp
It's slipped a lot in the last year. We went for our second time and it we honestly a let down. The staff was kind and helpful but there were just not enough of them to service the pool area at all. The pool was kind of a zoo and there was little to no staff to help. In the details... their wine list is far from the best. Almost no French White or Red but a decent selection of bubbles... tequila had only mid to low range options and the whisky menus was trapped in 2010. It's fine for sure but at that price you would expect much more. Again great staff experience and honesty I just felt sorry for most of them. They need lots of help.

Brian B.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, great conference area, tons of amenities. This place would be an easy 5-stars but they have some staff that are just plain rude. They either hate their job or hate people, or both. One of the pool waiters, Tariq, was awesome. He was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, they paired him with a miserable bartending partner that had us working harder than her, and wanted to harass me about holding my credit card or charging my room. If she would have come over to us instead of providing such terrible service, I would have had a credit card. For the rates this place charges, not sure why they want to treat everyone by the pool as if we are going to run out on our tabs. Very odd, and she doesn't even try to be diplomatic. The next morning, I was greeted by a very rude front desk clerk. I asked what time they put out snacks in the morning and she starts going in about if there are none left it is because it is so late. I'm not sure if these folks have been scarred by rude customers to the point that they jump to conclusions, but it was again, another instance of their staff going out of their way to be rude when the easier option was to just be helpful and polite. Aside from those two moments, it really was a perfect stay. They have a lot of good quality staff members, and I know it is hard to find people, but almost everyone else I interacted with in Hutchinson Shores, Jensen Beach, and Stuart were really great people, from CVS, to Wings beach gifts, to local restaurants. Seems odd the rudest people around were working at this very expensive luxury resort. Pluses, great location right on the beach, snacks and water complimentary at the butler station on each floor, free parking and valet, free wifi, and amazing Nespresso machines in every room. The hotel has big heavy doors that blocked out all extra noise, and my room was right next to the elevator. I couldn't hear a thing. Very peaceful. However, the poor service cost them a couple of stars, and would make me pause before coming back or recommending the place.

Gino A.

Yelp
Loved our stay at Hutchinson Shores (Xmas of 2024, kinda long delay in writing this review!) Best of all, Vicki in housekeeping deserves 10/10 stars! She was super attentive, always asking if we needed anything extra (on top of keeping our room spotless and tidy). We liked the resort's modern design, attentive valet parking, and quiet and peaceful rooms. Our view on the top floor was beyond belief (due to the layout of the buildings, I think all the rooms have a lovely view), and walking out to the beach any time we felt like it (early morning, late night) was delightful.

Chris H.

Yelp
Very nice resort hotel on Hutchison island. Service was excellent from the lobby, house cleaning, and restaurant. Everyone was really nice. The food was excellent and rooms very comfortable. Two pools and hot tub. Valet only which worked out perfectly. I travel for work all the time and really enjoyed staying here. Better than most hotels I have stayed at around the country.

Tom S.

Yelp
I recently stayed there and I could not be more impressed with the quality of the service, outstanding food, beautiful clean rooms and spectacular views. The hospitality of the staff made me feel relaxed, they would accommodate any requests. The resort grounds was clean giving a great complement to the ocean front views. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. Would definitely come back to this resort.

Yelp
Not a planted response - this is my genuine response to this resort!! Loved it!! You can tell that this property is loved by its owners and employees. The attention to detail in every aspect is perfection. From the beautiful interior design, the on par decor, the live moss and vertical plant details, to the welcoming and accommodating attitude of the staff and the superb quality of food. I would 100% come back and recommend this resort to friends. Thank you for the vacation I didn't realize I needed. I would like to give a shout out to the staff, from Ishmael and his team at the beach to Christine in the restaurant. I wish I had taken down all the names of the wonderful staff I came in contact with. They always had a smile and were genuinely pleasant. This speaks a lot about the resort management who I would also like to thank. We had a small group of friends who were very excited to see each other and we were not pushed to the corner or just tolerated - we were embraced!! Even upon our departure, we sang good bye and the employees smiled and some joined in. I tear up thinking of this moment as it was one of the many special ones we had. Thank you!! Special highlights; * Hotel restaurant was superb!! - pleasant surprise. * fresh baked cookies every day * Open refrigerator and pantry for free snacks an water bottles * Beach front service from chairs and umbrellas to wait service * Yes there were no-see-ums but even these were addressed by offering bug spray in the exterior exits. * Quiet remote location but still only minutes from many adorable restaurants like Jan's and Conchy Joes Seafood. * Sunday market in Stuart * Quaint arts district in Jensen.

Christine M.

Yelp
Went for a girls spa day. I had the 2 hour massage with body exfoliation. The Service and massage were excellent, mimosas offered before and after. I am local so I was not a guest staying at the hotel. With the spa service you are given access to the pool and restaurant. Pool was lovely and the food at the pool was amazing. Nice menu! I had the skirt steak on a bed of greens with chimichurri.

Madeline R.

Yelp
I was a friends day guest here and it was such a great time I booked a reservation the next week for my husband and I. The was beautiful, clean, and we had a view by the one of the two pools. The food and drinks were good, we ate at the restaurant and also had room service. Just an overall wonderful time. I would definitely go back again.

Lisa T.

Yelp
There is absolutely nothing I didn't love about this resort; (except the price.....but you get what you pay for!). The location is awesome; right on the beach and there are not many other hotels around so we noticed that the beach doesn't get too crowded! The staff is super courteous; from the helpful girls at the front desk to the friendly cleaning crew who always welcomed us and told us to "have a blessed day." Even the valet attendants were always eager to help out loading and unloading our cars. The decor is simply gorgeous....very beachy and relaxing. (Driftwood lamps & wall decor, sand sculpture welcome sign, incredible glass sailfish sculpture, and zen wall garden in the lobby) The rooms are spacious, clean, & cozy. The shower amenities are upscale, (Nest,) and there are 2 complimentary comfy bathrobes in the closet to use during your stay. They had a big flat screen TV in the room and a convenient mini-fridge as well. They also have a "jogging station" with water bottles, towels and maps of the area by the entrance and they have an area on each floor where guests can help themselves to bottled water & pre-filled bags of ice 24/7. And if that's not enough, they have baskets of fresh fruit, (oranges snd bananas,) out daily and fresh chocolate chip cookies in the late afternoon! Yummy! Some hotels charge a resort fee and you think..."what for?" Here the resort amenities are abundant. In addition to the water & snacks; they have 2 beautiful pools. One is kind of small and has limited lounge chairs, a bar, and great ocean views. The bigger pool has lots and lots of lounge chairs, plus umbrellas, couches, fire pits, a hot tub, and a giant Connect Four type game. There is also an adjacent covered bar and dining area at the large pool. If you prefer the beach to the pool; it's just a few steps to the beautiful well-maintained beach where you can get complimentary lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. Another nice touch is 2 little bug spray stations so you don't have to worry about getting stung by mosquitoes or bitten by sand fleas if you are venturing outdoors. There is a nicely equipped gym that is open 24/7 for guests. They had several nice cardio machines, (treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals,) plus mats, free weights, exercise balls, etc. The restaurant, Drift, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also has a full bar. I had lunch there one day and the food and service were both outstanding! They do have a spa on the premises, but no one in our party stopped in during this stay. Hutchinson Resort and Spa is part of the newly branded Opal Hotels Group. They definitely strive for attention to details and seem to be doing it right! I would highly recommend staying at this resort and I can't wait to visit again soon!

Jessica R.

Yelp
I had the most amazing aromatherapy message. Then spent the rest of the day sunning. I had a wonderful pizza from the drift kitchen. I would absolutely return again for a mini staycation/ spa day!

david l.

Yelp
We had a nice lunch here on our drive from Orland to Fort Lauderdale. Our server was friendly and the food was good. The air at the resort does have a feel of Prententiouness especially the clientele

Jamie H.

Yelp
Went to breakfast Hubby was there several x before... Service outstanding Stevie, our server Food really good Views of the ocean Will be back mostly due to Stevie!

Cathryn G.

Yelp
I have been to this resort for two separate conferences and the views from the ocean view room are just spectacular. I have had both a king room and a room with two queens. Both rooms were very large. Floors are wooden so you don't have to worry about nasty carpet. The bathroom is a good size and very modern coastal design. Neither room had a bathtub but rather a large standalone shower. Just beware if you're bringing small children that there is no bathtub. The beds are comfy and the balconies are large. The sliding glass doors open most of the way so that you really have this indoor outdoor experience. The rooms have a cooler drawer which is nice for keeping leftovers or a bottle of wine chilled. All rooms also have a Nespresso machine. The closet space is a little lacking but I've never stayed for more than two days so that didn't seem to be a big deal. One pool is cozy and kind of hidden all the other pool is right by the ocean and you can see the ocean from the pool. Neither pool is very large and again not designed with children in mind. This resort is definitely catering to adults not families. One of the perks of the resort fee is that it does include two chairs on the beach which is really nice. They have a spa that I'm dying to check out but I have not done so yet. There is a good size gym that you can utilize while staying here as well as valet parking that is complimentary. There are a couple cons with this resort. The first one being that if you want to go off site for a meal or even Starbucks it's a bit of a drive to do so. If you are going to stay on property for a meal I wish the restaurant had more diverse choices especially at dinner. My service the one time I dined was also abysmal so I do not recommend the restaurant. I also wish they had microwaves in the room. Nespresso is awesome but if you want tea you are out of luck. The main ballroom for an event or conference is large and gorgeous. Loggerhead rooms are small and dark and I don't recommend them for conference space.

Leslie Z.

Yelp
My husband and I just came home from a wonderful week at Hutchinson Shores Resort. Yhe rooms were clean and well-appointed. There was daily cleaning services which is rare these days. The staff is friendly and efficient. (Special shout out to Marisa at the pool restaurant and to Brad, pizza maker extraordinaire.) The pools and beach were lovely with plenty of chairs and shade. The room service was so convenient. The food at Drift in the hotel was superb, and we're fussy New Yorkers! We plan to return in the future.

Jane B.

Yelp
I had a delicious lunch here yesterday! We were going to sit outside and started to, but it was just to windy and wouldn't have been enjoyable. I had a great pasta dish, Old Country Pappardelle! It had overnight braised short ribs! It was the lunch portion but I enjoyed the leftovers for my dinner. My daughter LOVED her entree, RUSTICA PIZZA, she shared a slice and it was very good. We shared a delicious bread pudding, that was to die for! Our waitress was good and refilled our iced teas. We will be back.

Celia M.

Yelp
So happy we took the leap and came to visit! First time visiting Jensen Beach and Hutchinson Shores didn't disappoint. The weather didn't look promising at all but decided to risk it anyway. Both pools are very shallow so with the kids being novice swimmers, this was great! I'm sure everyone needs a break from work and stress during this COVID pandemic.

Anthony A.

Yelp
This is NOT a $600 a night room hotel! Room was superficially cleaned. Dilapidated in some spots. Staff was great on check in, rude on check out. Won't stay here again, especially at the exorbitant price!

Nicole S.

Yelp
This place is great! Dog friendly with 2 pools, 3 bars and a fantastic restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are clean. The beds are comfy and the rooms are affordable. Located right on the beach its hard to find a bad view. They offer unlimited free bottle water and also fruit in the morning and cookies in the afternoon on every floor. I'm sure there are many other amazing things about this hotel but I was only there for one night. I will definately be back to stay a few nights with the dogs. PS if you are at the bar and want something sweet and refreshing get the mango strawberry frozen drink. It comes with home made whip cream and a cherry on top.. AMAZING

Michael G.

Yelp
This was a great hotel with an outstanding staff and good location. The restaurant was also very nice and had very good food. My only complaint is that they didn't have smart TV's. I don't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel and they didn't have smart TV's. This is the only reason I wouldn't go back or recommend this property; I prefer to stay at hotels that have ALL of the latest technology and conveniences. However, if you don't care about smart TV's then this is a fabulous place to stay.

Joseph S.

Yelp
Very nice resort, clean friendly, great service and very good food. Can say enough about our server, she was so pleasant, attentive and absolutely helpful.

Carey R.

Yelp
Loved the Hotel and Amenities. Front desk employees and valet were awesome. However, restaurant not so great. Menus say breakfast is served until 11 am . We arrived at 10:50 for breakfast and they said we could only order lunch. Then 15 minutes later they served breakfast to a table that came in after us!! This is the only reason for the 3 stars. Would have given 4.5 stars otherwise!

Amy D.

Yelp
We're local to the area. Sis in Law & I got 2 rooms to take the kids for a change of scenery. Kids range from 10-17 in age. The Resort has a regular pool then also a smaller pool. The regular pool was closed upon arrival. We headed to the beach area to get chairs and hang out. We were told that chair service was over in 15 mins. WHAT?! The sun is shining and we are heading towards Summer. This Service needs to be extended to 6-7pm once the sun is staying out longer. After the beach, we headed in to check in on the pool and it was still closed. It never reopened until the next day. The Bartenders by the small pool were pleasant & had great Customer Service. That was definitely not the case the next day by the big pool. One waitress waiting on all customers & she disappeared A LOT. We ordered lunch & drinks by the pool. At one point we went up & just started ordering via the Bartender. The Waitress saw us & had the nerve to say we could only order from her. We let her know her Customer Service was less than desirable & we'd prefer she stay away from us. The rooms were clean & fresh. Water bottles & bags of ice are provided and have several locations in the Resort. Coffee isn't free & it is pay by the cup. We weren't compensated for the big pool being out for most of our stay. The Customer Service overall was poor minus the Bartender's. Definitely don't suggest booking here.

Yelp
I waited a couple of weekends to write my review so that it wouldn't be emotionally charged. Hutchinson shores is a halfway point between my best friend and I. We decided to stay for his 40th birthday celebration. Celebration it was not. First we checked into the hotel around ten one night and noticed that our ground level balcony door was open. This seemed unsafe. We checked the Room and headed to the bar to grab a drink before they closed. When we got back to the room we were getting ready for bed and I pulled off the top cover to a filthy stained fitted sheet. It couldn't have been more obvious, so it wasn't like it was something that could be overlooked. We called down to the front desk and they said there was a chance our room was missed during cleaning and would send up a second sheet set. We stripped the bed to find that the mattress looked like a crime was committed in that room and they were using these god awful sheets to cover it up. I don't even think the nastiest of hotels would have a mattress like this. I wouldn't let someone stay on a bed like that for free never mind close to $800 a night. (Ps if you're in room 215 check your mattress!). The second sheet set came up and I don't know how it was possible but the set was More stained than the first set. At this point it was 12:30 am and we're exhausted making a dirty bed on what should be a vacation. My husband went down to the desk and brought both sheet sets with him and the pictures of the room. They said they could give us two cheap house drink coupons (Which I don't drink and my husband couldn't use them on anything he wanted) and sent him back to the room with a third sheet set. I don't know how it is possible but they were able To provide us with a worse sheet set than the prior two!! Why are these sheets even in circulation?? This was awful. We couldn't sleep that night and the next day I talked to the manager Bobbi. Bobbi said she would switch our room. We then spent the next morning waiting for a new room to be available and then we're able To switch midday. That was not a relaxing day especially after getting no sleep. (We we're leaving the following day). Honestly I could've stayed home, slept in a cleaner bed and did less work so I wanted some sort of resolution to this disaster. I went back to talk to Bobbi in person and she couldn't even look me in the eyes while I was talking to her. She just stared at the computer. I told her we wanted to be compensated for the night before, which I shouldn't have to ask for, that should've been offered. She told me she had to talk to her manager. I gave her both my husband and my cell phone numbers bc we weren't going to wait in the room all day. Sure enough we never heard from Her and when we got back from dinner there was a message from Nicole, the resort manager, that they would give us half off our first night. So basically we paid to have a sleepless night in a filthy room. My best friend had another room and we had been spending money in the restaurant and the bar the whole weekend. They were not losing any money on us. That evening post dinner we decided to sit outside by the pool bar but not in the pool area. A worker came down and accused us of being pool crashes and told us to leave. Excuse be but we are in our 40s, two of us doctors, and dressed for a fancy dinner. I would like to see their regular Pool crashers if we fit the bill. My husband unprompted showed her our room key. This probably should have been her first question before jumping to conclusions. I'm just going to take that one as a compliment that maybe she thought we were young. I won't hold that against them, but it was rude. This hotel wants to be considered luxury but in Price only. We ordered food at the beach and our friend thought we had eaten his food when his came. He ordered calamari and I kid you not there were three pieces for $17. At the pool my friend ordered a strawberry daquiri, when the server, Laura, brought it over she spilled some on me, my chair, and my hat. All she said was she would "bring over napkins." She never apologized and never brought back napkins. The next time we saw her was when she summoned us out of the pool to close our tab bc her shift was over. If we wanted any other drinks we were going to have to reopen a tab with another server. I posted a photo of the hat after I tried getting all the stains out. This place is lowbrow. I was very polite and maybe that's why they figured giving us not even the bare minimum was acceptable. I told them this is halfway for us and our friends and that this hotel could possibly be a regular stay for us. That will absolutely never happen again. I don't recommend staying here for that cost. It's just not at those standards. Also do not have conferences or other large events here either. I was embarrassed for them really.

Yelp
This family vacation weekend our destination the hutchinson shores resort & spa located in jensen beach has a private beach a grand style design and a decoration that attracts the eye of the visitor so as not to miss any detail. The incredibly perfect room for your stay, everything you need is in its place, the valet parking, the front desk receive you in a way that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Had an absolutely fabulous stay here with my family for Memorial Day Weekend/my birthday weekend. The property is part of the Opal Resorts and is gorgeous. It's oceanfront with beach access. You pay a nightly hotel fee (around $30) which I clouded valet parking, 2 beach chairs (umbrellas are $20), unlimited water bottles, cookies and fruits. They have the water bottles on each floor with separately packaged ice bags. There are two pools which are both pretty shallow. They also provide fun games like a giant Connect 4. The main restaurant on the property is Drift. If you order from the pool or beach, you get a reduced menu from Reflections Pool bar. Pro Tip: if you're traveling with kids, ask for one of the rooms with direct access to the pool so you don't have to carry so much snd can just walk in and out.

Yelp
Beautiful resort right on the beach. Fabulous restaurant and service. Great food. The resort was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had our company Christmas party outside and the pools were so inviting! Sorry I do not have pics to post..I cannot wait to make plans and stay here soon.

Yelp
Really great stay! It's pretty, very pretty. Lobby, restaurant, etc. Rooms are nice if not a bit spartan. No real place to hang clothes (no closet) and no hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels. Seems like an easy fix. Water bottles and sometimes cookies. We loved there were water bottles everywhere for you to grab...from the 'jogger's station' at the front door, to each floor having a cooler. 2nd floor stay was great (room 247). Pretty much everything was on it that you needed. Our room was 2nd floor on the beach, but no beach access (has a balcony that you couldn't exit to the beach on). Pools...Dunes (faces the beach is less crowded at night as no sun, whereas Reflections (which has the hot tub) face west and gets afternoon sun. Plenty of kids which may or may not be good for you. No real 'pool service'. If you wanted food or drink you had to get your lazy butt off the chair. Parking * Valet is included. We self parked at the lot next door which is still super close. Need to Know * No housekeeping unless you request due to COVID. I get it. We did have towels pile up, garbage overflowing. If you need things, you call front desk and they leave a bag outside your room tied up with everything you need. * Breakfast. The info sheet we got from front desk said breakfast (on Sunday) til 11 am. Called front desk Sunday morning.....breakfast til 11. So we went to the beach Sunday morning and got to the restaurant at 10.45. Oh, we stop at 10.30. Ummm..what? The host said 'yeah, front desk has no clue'. They did make an exception and we did have a great breakfast, sitting outside overlooking the ocean. I really liked this hotel and would love to come stay again.

Yelp
Hutchinson Shores Resort and Spa is a great place for a getaway but don't go to the poolside bar. Great views but they have an invasion of bees around the bar and pool. Have been there 3 to 4 times and the bees are always there. Our bartender got stung. Management needs to do something.

Yelp
We wanted a relaxing getaway close to home and from what we had seen in a quick visit to Drift with visiting guests, thought we would give Hutchinson Shores a try. It is a true treasure on the Treasure Coast. I had mentioned, in passing, that it was our birthdays, and found birthday balloons in our room. We opted for an ocean view and we were thrilled with our choice. The rooms are beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. The bathroom amenities are first class. But even more importantly the staff of the hotel, from the front desk to the Valet/Bell staff to everyone we met dining at Drift were superb. Each person made us feel like we were the only guests that mattered. They were laid back (in the finest sense of that term) but quite attentive. The food at Drift was excellent (being vegetarian we did have somewhat limited options but those were beautifully presented), and its prices pleasantly surprising for a resort destination. While we didn't try the pools or spa, they were enticing. We have stayed at a number of resorts and Hutchinson Shores now sits at the top of our list. We will be back often to dine at Drift and for getaway staycations since we live 20 miles away.

Yelp
This resort was absolutely amazing! My partner and I both received massages once we got there and it was a great way to kick start the weekend. The resort was clean and the food was cooked very well. They had complimentary waters, fruits and cookies on each floor; so if you ever ran out of water, you didn't have to walk very far. If you wanted anything delivered to your room, you could call or text your request. The best part of this resort is their rooms, we got the beach view and it was worth it. We live in the city, so there aren't many stars in the sky that I can visually see. Yet, at this beach the sky was lit up. During the day, the ocean water was extremely blue! There are tanning chairs, huge beach beds (so comfortable), and umbrellas that the resort offers.

Yelp
We paid over $400 a night for a small room with a small drawer fridge, no microwave, cheap towel hangers, access to the heater filter for some reason, and no free breakfast. The room had a patio with a view of the pool which was nice but for some reason they put two big speakers on each side and blasted bad 90's alternative rock on them from 930 am till past 10pm. Even when we shut the door we could hear the thud of matchbox 20 reverberate through the walls. It made it impossible to relax. They promised free coffee in the am and we were asked to pay. They had no running water and everything was bottled water and they gave it out to us as if they were doing us a favor. They told us we got two lounge chairs for the day on the beach and to our suprise we were kicked off of them at 5 pm before we could even watch the sun go down. Also the valet acted like we couldnt park our own cars and the person at the front desk made us feel strange for wanting to park it ourselves. He told us we could park it across the street with a permit if we did it ourselves. We were looking for a relaxing 2 days here and at the end all we wanted to do was leave because of the high amount of stress this place caused. The location on the beach is amazing but that's about all this place has going for it. Me and my partner left unhappy, unnerved, and broke by the end of our stay. This place will try to hustle you out of your money at every opportunity. It is a complete rip off. Don't go here!!!!

Yelp
This is a very nice beach resort on a separate island where u cross over via bridge. It is 5 min away from Publix and the room has a mini fridge under the safe. The rooms are modern and feel newly painted. All the decorations are beach themed. There are two pools here and what makes this resort special is that its right on the beach. It was amazing to just walk around in the sand and feel the cool breeze in your hair. Plus they have a pantry area with bottled water, fruit in morning and cookies in afternoon. There are area seafood restaurants close by and plenty of free parking which is open to public (allows beach access). I came here for a conference and we had nice rooms for our discussions. They were a bit small compared to other big convention hotels, but definitely it was a homey experience for a small group of people. The food was also beach themed with a tropical flare and everything felt home-made. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend to others!

Yelp
My wife and I came here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. I called ahead to let them know and they left us a note with a nicely wrapped candy assortment thanking us for choosing them and wishing us a happy anniversary. (Great touch to start the weekend.) The room: Clean, coastal luxury decor. Spacious but not as big as other rooms you'd see at a mainstream hotel. Bed was comfortable and nice balance between plush and firm (some hotel beds you feel like you are sleeping in a marshmallow.) The bathroom was a good size - shower was spacious. Plenty of space for luggage and outlets bedside and throughout room. Mini fridge and safe also in room. Not that you go to a place like this to watch TV but there weren't a ton of options to watch things when we had downtime, kinda generic cable. The views from the room were amazing. If you can, splurge for a beach view there is nothing more relaxing than waking up to the sound of crashing waves as the sun rises and you sip your morning coffee. That being said, I noticed that a few reviews mentioned tiny bugs... they came out in the morning and at night but weren't bad during the day itself. Not sure what they were but guessing it's a Florida thing. The facilities: Two pools - one facing the beach and one 100 yards away from the beach. The one facing the beach is next to their restaurant and is a little smaller and felt more like where people went to relax in the pool. The larger pool, where the hot tub was, seemed like where people went with their families or to drink. There are two fire pits at night next to the hot tub that make for a cool atmosphere. Both pools aren't deep (3ft at shallowest and 4 at deepest) this was nice cause my youngest two kids could walk and not have to be held the whole time. Dining: Unless you planned in advance or know a really good spot ahead of time, skip searching for a place to eat and just eat at the hotel restaurant -Drift Kitchen and Bar. Prices are comparable to local spots but the quality is significantly better and you won't have to leave the hotel. They also have picnics the staff can bring down from the kitchen to the beach which was pretty cool. The staff: Honestly, we didn't interact a ton with staff outside the valet and at the restaurant (not sure if it's like this all the time but they make you valet - however it's included in your resort fee.) With that in mind, everyone we did meet or talked to seemed nice and friendly. Everyone was helpful at check-in and check-out, no issues in that way. The cleaning staff always left out room immaculate after getting service. The beach: Incredible all the way around - great views and incredibly clear water. Waves weren't super high like they get in Cocoa Beach so it made for a relaxing time.

Yelp
We went to the spa for Mother's Day and had massage services booked. We were running about 10 minutes late & called to give a heads up. When we got there one of the people in our party was not able to be accommodated because a therapist called out. The manager and the staff went above & beyond to make sure we were able to get our services. Despite my mom and her friend having to return the next day my massage by Nicole was amazing. She truly has healing hands. Also, the professionalism and tact the spa manager and supervisor displayed while handling the situation was a1. Luckily my family was able to return the next day so it all worked out. A situation that at first was unsettling turned out better than we imagined and I really appreciated that. I also let them know while I was there.
