Ulum Moab Brings a New Level of Luxury to Glamping

"Family-owned French company Huttopia Wine Country is bringing crepes and croissants to the rolling hills of Northern California's Lake County this month. The fully solar-powered location, on a working winery, is the first Huttopia to be completely off the grid."

The whole family loved our time at Huttopia. The whole vibe is Elbert European, the glamping tents were super comfortable, beautifully situated and spotlessly clean. The staff was lovely and there are tons of bike baths, games, a great pool and activities. The food at the cafe was delicious- we had fresh baked pastries in the am and wood fired pizzas in the evenings. It’s great because you have the ability to cook if you want, or can keep it simple and eat at the cafe. Six sigma winery has fantastic wines in a casual environment. We are already planning our next tip back!

Our group of 11, which included 6 adults and 5 kids, just spent a few wonderful days at Huttopia Wine Country, and it was a great experience for everyone. The facilities and amenities are brand new and top-notch. The kids especially loved having bunk beds in the tent, and everyone enjoyed the pool, which was the perfect way to cool off and have fun. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful, which really added to the positive experience. One piece of advice for future guests: keep an eye on the weather forecast. The temperature topped 100 degrees during our stay. We were grateful for the beautiful, air-conditioned main lodge where we could take refuge and cool down during the hottest parts of the day. Tip: The tent has four outlets, but some are used for the provided fan and lights. We'd recommend bringing a power strip to make sure you have enough spots to charge all your devices. Despite the heat, we had an amazing time. We highly recommend Huttopia for a family-friendly glamping trip and are already excited to check out their other locations in the future!

We loved our stay at Huttopia Wine Country. The hut was perfect for a family of 5 and we really enjoyed the facilities. The huts are really impressive - very comfortable beds, solar powered electricity, hot water, shower, bbq etc. The hiking/mountain biking trails are fun and the main lodge and pool are a great respite when it gets hot. Also worth visiting the winery on site. Its definitely off the beaten track but worth the journey if you want a comfortable getaway in beautiful natural surroundings.

Great location with lots to do! Pool, tons of games, hiking, lake nearby, bikes for rent. We were never bored. They also have delicious fresh pizzas and pastries. Oh and there’s a kid friendly winery on property with animals to feed and free hotdogs to cook.||The two bedroom tent was large and well appointed. Tent 103 was the best in terms of proximity to the main lodge and still felt very private||Only small suggestions would be to have paper towels or more kitchen rags in the tent; and heat up the pool! For guests, I would avoid deep winter or peak summer. There are two fans in the tents which made our may stay comfortable (warm during the day and cold at night). Also, bring your own pool towels.

Beautiful property – very clean and well-maintained. The tents are top-notch and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great pool for kids, on-site food options, and plenty of fun activities to keep the little ones entertained.

We had such an amazing time glamping at Huttopia. The tent was very nice and well stocked with kitchen supplies you may need, as well as a grille. The outdoor deck on the huts were a fantastic place to relax and do some star gazing. The amenities were fantastic. A very nice large pool and kids pool. We also loved the s'mores night and movie night. I love that they also had activities for the kids, like the flower pot painting. Being on a working winery was pretty amazing too, the tastings are reasonably priced and we enjoyed taking a tour of the winery and learning the history of the location. We were able to see so many animals including rabbits, deer, horses, cows, and the farm animals at the winery! I could not recommend this place enough, our family is looking forward to staying again in the future!

We visited in May of 2025 and the high was around 80 degrees. This seemed to be the optimal time to visit as it was warm enough to swim, but not hot enough to be miserable while traipsing around the grounds (our tent was a bit of a hike from the main lodge area). It was also nice that everything was still green and there were a good amount of wildflowers! The tent was well stocked and was warm enough through the night (the evenings really cool down). It was kind of hard to find information on their website about what would be in the tent so just know it's basic kitchen items like plates, cups, a sponge, dish soap, and a jug for water, etc. Wine glasses of course :) They also provide a gas grill with a burner. Things I forgot were hand sanitizer (since our tent didn't have water), salt and pepper, and bug spray, though the bugs were not bad! And the ambiance of the tent was just delightful. It was nice sitting out on the deck at night enjoying the twinkle lights. We will definitely go back!

I stayed in the 5 person tent with a bathroom and enjoyed my stay very much. The on-site playground, pool, and cafe were well maintained and served good food. The staff were super friendly too. Overall, a wonderful glamping experience.

Yelp
Huttopia = Best glamping experience! It felt like an outdoor hotel with all of the amenities. The campsite had EVERYTHING. There was a pool, playground, cafe and lots of games and activities. They had s'mores one night and an outdoor movie the next night. There were kid craft activities in the morning - making dream catchers and painting pumpkins. Our tent had a bathroom (toilet and shower), kitchenette, cooler, outdoor sink, grill and solar power. They even provided large ice packs for the coolers in the tent. The employees were friendly. Something to keep in mind - you can't park by your tent. They provide heavy duty carts but depending on where your tent is located, it could be a long/steep walk hauling all of your things. We booked when they had a buy two get one night free deal so it made it even more affordable. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Do NOT book this trip if you need any flexibility or consideration. I planned a trip with my family, including a 3-year-old, a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the area is experiencing an intense heat wave. Temperatures will be exceeding 109 for the entirety of our stay. Traveling with a toddler to an outdoor based experience with soaring temperatures is ridiculous. We called the company to try to recoup our costs because we could not in good conscience proceed as planned, and they refuse to refund any portion of the trip. They will only transfer the stay to another time in the year-however we are moving out of state in a few weeks and can not take advantage of a different date. They value their bottom line above everything else. Their cancelation policy is more stringent than a hotel, so buyer beware.

Yelp
Be aware that they take their "no cancellations within 7 days" policy very seriously. Even though we found other people to take over our reservation, they wouldn't allow us to switch our reservation to them and our reserved room is sitting empty tonight. I hope they change this policy, as it looks like a nice place to stay.
