Still my favorite burger-eating experience in town. The toasted brioche buns were simply the highlight that sandwiched the juicy and meaty patty in between. One of my favorite burger in town. Definitely love the crust inside the buns. Toasty and crunchy, full of flavor, perfectly sandwiched the crisp patty in the middle. Huxtaburger in the menu is the best, classic way to go to enjoy a burger. Paired with chilled Cascade Ginger Beer on a hot sunny day? Oh, one of the life greatest pleasures.

Google
Fast, friending and trendy. I had the veggie Denise burger. Veggie patties itself was not so flavourful, however all ingredients came together nicely to offer a good mix of spice. Others around me seemed to be enjoying their food too( always a plus ) The crew? The crew here are pretty chill. They are very friendly and get things happening quickly. My meal came out pretty quick, mind you store was quiet when I got there. However in saying that it did get pretty rushed while I was in there and people around me seemed to be getting their meals fast too. Seating is limited, so if it's busy you will feel it. Though this is not usually a problem unless your there in peak times. Pricing, pricing is fair, though encroaching on the pricy side of things. Veggie Denise burger with regular(medium) chips and a bottle of water $20.90 All in all, I would go back. Possibly have something different though. This is a recommend for a quick meal.

We tried burgers from Huxtaburger today, these are awesome. Aroma from the box was enough for 5stars. We tried burgers and fried chicken, both dishes were amazing. Staff and service is good too. We have order online from app and picked up from store.

Google
AMAZING. LOVED IT. I can say I found the best burger place in Melbourne!!! We tried Huxtaburger and Darren burger, Huxtaburger was great, but I ABSOLUTELy loved Darren which had bacon and fried egg. Large fries just perfect to share between two. It’s a comfortable place to dine in alone, or with your friend, but not as a family and definitely not with your date (unless they’re down for the best burger in Melbourne lol). I will definitely visit again very soon!

Once a week, I try and have a meal from a place I have never reviewed before. So I tried 'Huxtaburger' as the photos on the food delivery page looked terrific. When you order food to be delivered, you are at the mercy of packaging and the care the driver takes. In my case, the driver didn't care, and the meal was not secure when it arrived. The packaging is sustainable and light. But it is the food I'm here to rave about in this review. 1. The chicken ribs - talk about melt in your mouth and succulent - yum - could eat a heap of these, they were that good. $5 2. 'Darren' burger - grass-fed beef patty, bacon, egg, grilled onion, cheese, house burger sauce, tomato, lettuce, pickles - the tastiest burger I have had in years! The sauce on it was like 1000 island dressing, but on steroids [they create their signature sauces]. The meat patty was well seasoned with salt and pepper. The buns made on the premises, plant-based, almost like a brioche. The grilled onions cooked to perfection and not raw like most places. YUM! $15.50 3. Large fries/chips - comes with a choice of three salts - Salt, chicken salt, or dill pickle salt - I chose the chicken salt. A tasty accompaniment to the ribs and the burger. $5.50 *They also do gluten-free buns here. *They use of gloves in the kitchen keeps the preparation of food safe. *Prices haven't risen due to COVID but there are delivery fees. I highly recommend Huxtaburgers and will be a repeat customer.

Google
Came here for lunch with my work mates and it’s such a good place! The burgers are amazing! Chips were crunchy and hot, I would recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing burger and chips. Ribs were okay but cold :(

Google
I was first introduced to Huxtaburger about 6-7 years ago, and it still is one of the best places to enjoy a burger. It's a good balance of a burger, gets the meat just right, especially with the thickness. Other guys can be larger if you're looking for a fat feed. Some great options on the menu as well, pictured is the Theo. Just look at that cheese, melted so nice over the top. Chips are also great to get. The restaurant itself, you might have a hard time finding a place to sit during a week day lunch time, takeaway is always a good option but if you're carrying a burger 10+ mins away, it's never really the same since made. These guys are always pumping at crunch time. I recommend this place, really good for a takeaway with the team and enjoying out in the sun. *EDIT* Adding Huxtaburger UberEats Ordered a burger over UberEats and needed to leave this review. Given still within the CBD, the burger was great. No complaints, always a bit tricky ordering burgers on UberEats as it may not be as fresh from the kitchen.

Google
Busy place good vibes. Service is prompt and the guys here are friendly. The burgers are of a good standard but not my preferred joint.

Zack W.

Yelp
Alright, don't get me wrong I love food when it comes to burgers but these burgers were just way way too unseasoned and basic. And of course it had to take 2 hours for one burger...

Susan B.

Yelp
Decent burger by Australian standards. Not the best I've had, but overall it is consistent and the fries are good. Have been here several times and I would eat there again if I am craving a burger and happen to find myself in the neighborhood.

Gary L.

Yelp
Had a huxtaburger and an order of onion rings and I must say the buns they use for the burger are really nice. :) The patty was average cos it didn't really stand out in terms of taste nor size. The onion rings were deliciously sinful! Enough said.

Jay C.

Yelp
Honestly, I don't know what they do but it's on point! By far top 3 best businesses to get a burger. I have probably been here 5 times. I just took a friend here that had never heard of huxtaburger and I am happy to report, she had her first 'Burgasm' (coining that phrase as of now)! So obviously come here for a burger, but you also need to try the salted caramel shake - the syrup they use in their shakes is homemade and wicked as the witch herself, put it in your mouth, do it! It's a little hidden away but it is worth it when you find it! One of Melbourne's gems 6/5 stars

JA S.

Yelp
So I know I'm late to the party here but Holy Toledo can they make burgers! I had the classic 'Huxtaburger' and turned it into a 'booze meal' with their own goes-down-well schooner and chips. Perfectly cooked bun and chips with fresh tomato, lettuce and pickles, not to mention the mouth watering beef patty! There were many other burgers that caught my eye (cheesus, Denise & Clair!) so I know I will be back here to try them out - probably during their happy hours ;)

Karen L.

Yelp
What the hell happened? Why was there a cup of mayo in my burger? Did it fall in? For fear of any negative ramifications, I didn't complain. I scraped the mayo off to make my burger edible. Aside from the mayo fiasco, the burger was actually decent. I was even able to dip my fries into the extra mayo! Very French. Ten percent extra charged on holidays.

Reem A.

Yelp
The place is a bit small with limited seating try to get here early. The staff is friendly and professional very polite and make you feel welcomed. I feel bad about writing this review. I had the dilo burger and fries. The burger is decent and the fries too. I would not come back because I'm looking for specific things in my burger: the taste of grill, the freshness of beef, and the lightweight. I found the latter but not the rest, sorry guys! Note for the owner: Mix the beef in-house and use 5 star ground beef don't cut corners mate! Bring in a real grill into the kitchen. You have everything working out for you, the location, the atmosphere, the staff, the menu, the reputation. Don't ruin it by ignoring the essences of your product. Good luck!

Moc P.

Yelp
Pretty average burgers, i mean I would order again 100% but you know. service Is also pretty average, menulog constantly says around 30 to 40 minutes delivery, pretty good chicken though.

Mathan M.

Yelp
O.O If I could just sum up the Huxta-xperience with an emoticon it'd be with that. I have longed to find a burger place which serves breathtaking burgers at a reasonable price, that longing is no longer existent. Ever since I came back from the beautiful land of the US of A, I have searched tirelessly for a burger place that equalled or best the quality of a 5 Guy burger. Their burger was juicy, filled with flavor, the fries were amazing and the price was unbelievable. I never thought I would ever find a place quite like it. Until today. I've heard of Huxtaburger before - I won't lie. I just never tried to find it purely because the original burger joint was far from the CBD. I thought to myself 'one day when I'm close I'll give it a go'. This was the ongoing problem. This all changed in an instant, however, as on one gloomy Melbourne morning I decided screw it I'm getting myself a burger. Boy was it worth it. It was fortunate that Huxta opened another shop in the CBD. It's convenient, beautifully designed and the aroma inside the place was amazing. I was still a little hesitant, however. Standing inside the premise was like an old feeling of 'meeting your heroes'. On one hand I desired a burger that would bring me back to burger heaven but on the other there is a chance that my expectation would just trip and fall flat on its face. I hoped for the first option. Ordering at Huxta is painfully fast (; I was in line and out within a minute and the wait for the beautiful burger to arrive in a beautiful paper bag was quick. It took less than 5 minutes from start to finish. It was a fairly painful 5 minutes, though, as every second that went by I was in agony of not knowing what I was in for. My feeling of agony changed to delight when the bag with my burger and fries was finally given to me. The top of the bag was rolled up which created a warm handle of burger goodness. I anxiously opened the bag, took out my burger and fries and plopped it onto the table. It was time to do it. The very first bite off the burger was flawless. Everything I longed for in a Burger was now being masticated by my oral cavity. The juices, the taste, the cheese and the fries all combined made a sensation that is inexplicable. Mouthful after mouthful prodded my desire to want more. I kept digging into the burger despite having cheesy grease on and around my fingers. Haven. Now, you may be getting the feeling that I have been burger deprived for some time and that feeling would definitely prove to be correct. I have looked tirelessly for a burger joint that would satisfy my craving for a great burger and by golly Huxtaburger has done that exact thing. My advice is simple and I shall represent it in the form of an equation, because let's face it equations are fun. Huxtaburger plus Deprived Burger Fanatic equals Holy Burger Heaven Experience. Do yourself a favor and go delight yourself in a Huxtaburger today. It is the best oral burger experience money can buy.

Yelp
Huzzah - no longer do we have to trek to Collingwood for the sweet taste of Denise. For the uninitiated, Denise is a delicious burger full of jalapeño and sriracha mayo. I don't often crave junk food, but when I do, you're damn right it's a Denise with a side of chipotle fries and a cold Two Birds Amber. I gained a kilo just thinking about it. Huxtaburger II has more seating than the original and being tucked away from Collins St in a hidden alleyway, has a shorter queue on weekends - but I imagine it's not like that during the week when the CBD is full. Best suited for one or two friends as the seating is along a bar but split up into small sections.

Kellie H.

Yelp
A mighty fine burger. Big, juicy, lots of sauce. And I even ate the pickles. Real pickles! Who knew they could be tasty. Even their tomato sauce is delicious and thick. I avoid the business crowd but certainly an excellent option for a quick dinner after work.

Howard C.

Yelp
If you are a fan of a greasy burger and/or Five Guys back in the US you will like Huxtaburger. I love the homage to The Cosby Show...and seeing that Theo was my favourite character I had to get the Theo. Two patties? Check. Bacon? Check. Cheese? Check. These burgers take a little time to come out for good reason...they're made with care...greasy, artery clogging care. The meat was spiced really well...it had some great flavours and was really tender. The bun was greasy goodness as was the cheese. The only thing I would change if I were to order the Theo again (which I will) is hold the mustard and BBQ sauce. There are too many condiments going on with ketchup, mayo, mustard, and BBQ..but it's otherwise a fantastic burger. God I hope they will open one up in Sydney.

Jessica J.

Yelp
Yum!! Had to give this place a go whilst I was in town from Sydney as I had heard great word of mouth about it! I have to say I wasn't disappointed in the slightest and actually suprised as I had friends that said it didn't come close to 8bit which I disagree with. It was just as good!! I preferred the crinkle cut fries here compared to the beer battered at 8bit. The shakes at 8bit were better but I'm not complaining the Huxta Shake was very decent! The decor was a little odd but cool and staff friendly. I like that you can get soft drink refills as well!! I can't wait to return when I am in Melb next!!

Oscar B.

Yelp
burgers were frickin awesome, chicken was crispy but juicy, no flavours were too overpowering, sauce was awesome, salad was fresh, fries were well seasoned, service was good. sadly no knife was provided to cut the burger :(

Danny B.

Yelp
I have heard great word of mouth about this place. and finally found a good time to go and visit this place. Went around lunch time, and you can tell this place is a favorite because it was packed. We got to place our order pretty quickly, but had a fairly long wait before we received our meal. However the food finally came to our tables, and was fairly well priced. The burger was delicious, served on a very tasty bun, the meat paddy was also very nice. I really enjoyed this meal. it is also a licenced venue, so burger and a beer. Two great things.

Mel T.

Yelp
The burger was good but I didn't think it was really worth it for $9. I guess I'm used to tastier, cheaper burgers in NYC (shout out to Shake Shack!) I ordered the original Huxtaburger - beef topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato mayo, mustard, ketchup, and pickles. There wasn't anything special about it. After I ate it, I wished I had gotten a different burger (preferably something with bacon?) I'm still glad that I tried it, since it had so many rave reviews on Yelp. Even if I lived in Melbourne, I probably wouldn't go back. I'm sure there would be better places to satisfy my burger cravings.

Alicia C.

Yelp
Everything about it was great. The Huxtaburger was a perfectly executed classic. Messy but in all the right ways. Also had a side of the chipotle salt chips which were a great compliment. Not too spicy, great crunch on the chips. As a person who like to save the best bite for last, it was a toss up between which would be the best way to end. The Huxtaburger won out and it was well worth it. Highly highly recommend if you are looking for a perfect burger. Everything I was hoping for and more.

Sharn G.

Yelp
Oh how excited was I when I read that this place delivers and we were in town for a few nights. Plus they also deliver alcohol!! SCORE! The burgers were great. We did request extra sauces but never got them. The hot chippies were yum too. But I really enjoyed the burgers here. Plus the cider.

Tamara B.

Yelp
Well it was very tasty, although probably took a little longer to prepare than I'd like. Several other customers were anxiously chasing parts of their meals too! The fries are also very good, not smothered in salt like most places.

Susan M.

Yelp
Only 14 stools so very tiny. We popped in for baby Rudy burgers which were the perfect size for a small lunch when you know a full burger would be too much. Huxtaburger is delightfully moreish and I can see regular cravings happening in my future. A throwback to the 70s there is a small menu including crinkle cut chips and 8 burgers including beef, chicken and tofu. The beef is excellent quality. Will return ASAP.

Willie M.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. I used to flip burgers for a living so I am fussy. Had: Huxtaburger.... Rating: 5 stars all the way baby! Expect perfectly cooked fresh ground beef, the sort of caramelised beef that only comes from leaving for long enough on the first side down! Add the freshest salad and kickass ketchup & mustard, and you have hit the burger jackpot. Congrats guys and girls at Huxtaburger :-)

Geoffrey B.

Yelp
I took a burger huxtaburger I think (9$) with fries, burger was alright, but not what I expected when I saw 4 stars. It is good if you dont expect a "healthy" burger, bread was not my favorite one. I took the one with a lot of sauce so maybe the others are different. Staff was average, place is small and warm, music is pretty loud but there is free wifi. I think I can find better for the same price range so I will probably not go back.

Joanna H.

Yelp
I had a burger and chips. I really liked the chips. The burger wasn't as well cooked as I prefer but was still pretty good. The staff were really polite and the service was reasonably fast. I'd recommend Mr Burger over Huxtaburger, but Huxtaburger is still a quality option if you're craving burger.

Felicity K.

Yelp
Such a good burger, friendly staff and cool atmosphere, took about 10 - 15 minutes to get the food but it was well worth the wait. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a filling and delicious burger.

Benjamin H.

Yelp
The burgers were tasty and did remind me of in-n-out, with a 50% mark up. A great experience but nothing to rave about. Tucked away in a little alley this american diner is waiting for the Farnz to walk in the door and order a burger and fries. Its competitive in the burger scene! and my favorite at the moment is Neil Perry's Burger Project!

Tafadzwa M.

Yelp
The fries were awesome, the burgers too were good. Its a tiny place though but we were fortunate with our timing. Overall we were very happy customers.

Danielle P.

Yelp
I'm always up for a good burger and was not disappointed. A small place and not real easy to find, but worth the search. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. No refills on soft drinks and expect that they'll come small (at least compared to what we're used to in the U.S.). Would definitely come back!

Luca H.

Yelp
I got the bills burger and loved it so much. There was a lot of mayo, but that's about the only downside I can think of sitting here writing this, whistfully staring at my empty plate. If your gonna get a bills burger, get a caramel milkshake or the experience isn't complete.

Lani P.

Yelp
There's no photographic evidence that I ate at Huxtaburger II because as soon as that classic burger was in front of my face I was savouring each and every bite without thinking about the social proof of proving I'd been to this fast-growing Melbourne institution. Friends had said, "You want burgers. We're taking your to Huxtaburger." We arrived after a little confusion over it's locations to a bustling diner and our orders arrived fairly quickly, almost too quickly, but when you see the production line they've got going on for the construction of these beautiful brioche buns you'll understand how it comes together so well. For $9, I went with the classic Huxtaburger (I'm still tempted by the Sondra - tofu and soy mayo) and each mouthful was bliss. It's a great example of simple ingredients combined and made well. Huxtaburger I get it. It get why you're earning a cult following. I just don't think I can go back to a city where there's no Huxtaburger.

Scott M.

Yelp
My wife and I have been on the hunt for the best burger in the CBD ever since we moved here two years ago. The hunt has been largely fruitless. Either burgers are ruined by the addition of beetroot (seriously, Oz? Get over your purple thing) or are generally tasteless and bland. Obviously, there are exceptions, like anything you can get at The Rockpool Bar and Grill, but, for a cheap-and-fast burger, that's high quality, the CBD options haven't been what they ought to be. Until now. Huxtaburger has just opened up on Fulham Place, which, theoretically, is attached to 333 Collins Street, but, it's much easier to find if you go up Flinders Lane and find Fulham Place that way. We've never been to the other Huxtaburger location(s), but we are 100% fans now. My wife went with the Denise, and I went with the Theo. Both were fantastic, especially with their chipotle chips! The sesame-seed bun was superb as well. After we finished the burger my wife said she could eat another one of just those buns it was so perfectly prepared. If you're in the CBD, and you (rightfully) eat meat, give Huxtaburger II a try, you won't regret it! The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is because it's Just Opened, and, the music inside the restaurant was way, way, way too loud for the space. We couldn't have a conversation inside, so we sat outside where the weather was just right for that anyway. Yum, can't wait to go back.

Winnie G.

Yelp
My favorite burger from Australia. I was living in SE Asia for a while, and had a break in Melbourne. I was hella craving the hamburger fast food, so I tried dem all. Huxtaburger was my favorite. So juicy. So delicious. Plus I just love the name. Sounds so hunky.

Lants D.

Yelp
Better than Huxtaburger 1. Not easy to find. Look for the secret arcade between Flinders Lane/Collins Street and Elizabeth Street/Queen Street. When prompted by Yelp additional tip suggestions I ticked "Hipster" for ambience. This is accurate because I grew a beard on the way out... and I got take away so this is before I even ate anything. Burgers.

Laura N.

Yelp
Look, we all know that seeing "II" is a good sign. Boyz II Men. Back To The Future Part II. The number 11 in Gill Sans. Need I go on? Clearly not. So when I heard that Huxtaburger II was a reality, I knew it would be good. Even better than the first some might say. Although you really do need to have the backstory of Huxtaburger I to truly appreciate things like II's extended menu, gluten free buns, and lunchtime opening hours that make II the fan favourite that it is, so make sure you get yourself over to I first, then follow up with II, and hopefully III. Just make it a Huxtamarathon a la your Lord Of The Rings weekend you never speak of. The central location brings II to the masses and the extended cast of characters in the form of toppings and options pleases nearly everyone. (Except for the people who can't find a seat, that is a bit of an issue if you come at peak hours.) In conclusion, it'll always be a Denise for me. There's magic in her buns and the spicy jalapeño really brings it out. As does Boyz II Men.

Phoebe S.

Yelp
Just like the Huxtaburger we know and love, only bigger and slicker. Now with gluten free and vego options!

Alicia N.

Yelp
So I'd heard rumors that these were 'the best burgers in Melbourne'. Well Melbourne, I hate to break it to ya, but if this is the best ya got then Adelaide's burgers kinda shit all over you. NOT to say that this was a bad burger though - maybe I just have SUPER HIGH STANDARDS (I probably do, I've eaten A LOT of burgers in the past six or so months) it's just that this burger, however delicious it was, is simply not as good as others I have had! I tried the Huxtaburger while Mum got Denise (the hot one!) and we both really enjoyed them. The burgers have the deliciously sweet and soft bun that I really love and there are some nice choices on the menu. The burger its self was nice - tender, but not as 'sloppy' as some of the best. It kinda tasted like a whopper - which is GREAT because it had all the great flavour combined with 'real' ingredients. Denise had more complex tastes, but still nothing on the Blue Cheese that you get on the burgers from Burger Theory or the tasty Camembert at eNuf - sorry but I have A LOT to compare this to... The chips to accompany the burger were nothing special - we tried the chipotle fries for a bit of spice and, really they were just outta the packet crinkle cuts with some tasty flavouring... The bar is located down a little ally way but also as part of a food court. The seats (stools) weren't really that comfortable either. I REALLY wanted this experience to be amazing, but sadly it was just good.

Jake H.

Yelp
A friend that works in the city took me here after visiting their Smith st shop a week earlier. Its inconspicuous and off the track but I guess thats exactly what they're going for as a hipster burger joint, something Ill touch on again in a bit. Second time out I decided to go for the Denise (the hot one) with a side of chipotle fries. The jalapeños were fresh as you come to expect with their produce. The bun fluffy yet toasted, the salad fresh and the cheese perfectly melted over the Wagyu patty - this is how burgers should be made. Not to mention the chipotle crinkle cut chips that perfectly seasoned and crispy without being too hot or too cold. The only thing that gets me about Huxtaburger is the staff and their holier than thou attitude. Its a case of being seen as much as the food and I couldn't shake the feeling that their new staff (the shop had only been open for ~2 weeks) had recently come to the realisation that they don't work at some trendy bar in Fitzroy, but a glorified McDonalds. Won't stop me coming back for another 'Denise' though.

Hugh M.

Yelp
A Little tricky to find on the first go, but after some successful navigation of the building, its found in a discreet and hidden food court area, in a lane way of Flinders lane attached to the side of 333 Collins Street. Scott M has the directions best: Full ham place. There seems to be loads more seats this time around in this location and I didn't have to endure an agonising and arduously long wait, that borders on pure torture on this visit. That's the main problem with the Original Huxta; you have to wait so long you turn insane. The space here is much roomier this time around and hopefully works better in those absolutely dreaded super busy corporate lunch hours. This is not the type of thing I'd like to endure at this huxtaburger, it would be sheer madness. Anywho, they've maintained the consistency here; juicy flavoursome and on occasion sopping burgers. They also have Chipolte fires which have more of an overly burnt trait than "smoky" as described. Yes agreed, music is to loud but its a clamour for outside tables with all of the hipsters and smokers. I shall return!

Kevin S.

Yelp
I find it a convenient blessing (if there is such a term!) that we don't have to go all the way out to Collingwood to have Huxtaburger. Burgers/beer, a great location and a cool name - you can't really ask for more about this joint. I had a dinner date here on Sat night... Now, heads up guys, if you're heading there via Collins Street; take the corridor after the entrance to 330 Collins, make a right then a left at the end of it and you'll find it. It took us about a minute or so but we made it there in the end! They have seating along the wall and the hip hop/rap tunes playing can get quite loud at times. We both had a Huxtaburger and shared a large fries and well no complaints whatsoever as you'd expect. Did someone say Huxtaburger III?

Kelsey H.

Yelp
Twelve kinds of yep. Delicious burgers (I had the traditional Huxta with a slab of tofu in place of meat... and it was absolutely perfect in its simplicity - my boyfriend had the Denise and loved every second of it), mouth-watering chipotle fries, cold craft beers, and super-friendly (and helpful!) staff. What more could you want in a burger joint? The decor is simple and completely unpretentious, the music was funky, and it's hidden down a little alleyway. See, what'd I tell you? Twelve kinds of yep.

Leisha T.

Yelp
Where else do you end up after a night on the beers than a burger joint. This place had been on my list of must try's for a long time! On this night, the lure was too strong and I was helpless to resist. The venue itself is quite small and it was pretty busy but we managed to make order - I got the veggie burger and Scott grabbed a big burger that was full of meat and bacon! If you think burgers are the only thing on offer here, you'd be wrong. They have beer. They have good beer. After a few swigs of delicious beer, our burgers were ready. We ate in and managed to secure a spot to rest of our plates. Be warned. These burgers are messy. They are juicy. They are greasy. But they are delicious. They were full of flavour and managed to fill the giant void in my stomach. I will definitely be back here for more burger goodness. Perhaps though, not the best place to bring a date. Unless you want to be seen with food dripping down your face.

Alex M.

Yelp
They make a good burger and they have Vale IPA (the closest thing to a good American IPA). The brioche bun makes the burgers tasty. 1 loss of a star for a perfect score because of the amount of bbq sauce & amount of gherkins used in the Theo burger. That BBQ sauce that they use is way overpowering and really takes away from the overall taste of the burger. They add heaps of it and its just too much. I've had to ask them to put very little on it because otherwise it's too "smoky/tangy." They one too many sliced gherkins in the burger too. Overkill. The fries could be served hot/warm. They've come out fairly cold when I've had them each time.

Yelp
Great beefy burger, American-style with mustard, mayo and ketchup. I'd prefer a firmer bun and less mustard though.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite (Cosby Show themed) burger joint in Melbourne. From the aesthetically pleasing diner vibe to the menu of burgers & shakes that aims to please everyone, this place will have you smiling & coming back for more (and more). The staff are always super friendly & laid back, helpful in even the busiest of times (which is often). The milkshakes are a tasty must & the chipotle seasoned chips also can't be missed. This place is always a stopover before hitting a music festival as they tend to play tracks by artists from the bill as I enjoy various burgers named after members of the Huxtable family. The only thing possibly missing? How about some of that famous Cosby Jell-O pudding.

Yelp
Pretty decent burgers that definitely satisfy a burger craving. Chips were pretty good, could have more salt. However tomato sauce was supplied on the benches. The restaurant is pretty packed at lunch time so be prepared for a longer than average wait. There is not too much seating but it is not too hard to claim a seat while waiting. The styling of the restaurant gives a nice vibe. All around better than average fast food in between the quality of McDonalds and Grill'd with the price to match.

Yelp
Hidden away, this place is great if you are after a simple, easy to eat burger. We both got chipotle fries and THE HOT burger, must say the burger was more amazing than the fries. It was delicious and juicy! The only downside for this Huxtaburger is that there aren't many places to sit as all the seats are along the window but do pay this place a visit for a fresh burger that hits the spot.

Yelp
Burgers and Beer. Put these two little words pretty much anywhere and I'll be there. So after a little bit of playing the Melbourne Laneway Maze game the glowing neon sign beckoned us forth. "HOT BEEF. COLD BEER" Yay! We quickly stepped inside out of the cold Melbourne night, and the amount of people crammed into the small space soon warmed us up. It was about 8 PM so it wasn't as busy as I had heard it gets in here, but not wanting to risk a rush squeezing in out of nowhere we placed our burger order (Sondra tofu burger for Leisha T and a Theo meat-fest for yours truly) and grabbed a couple of beers from the great selection then expected to have to huddle in a corner, eating over our plates after discovering no free stools anywhere. By the time our burgers were ready (which wasn't long at all) half of the the people inside had left and we grabbed a seat easily. The burger was phenomenal. Juicy, cheesy, messy, meaty, tasty! Really, you don't need to know much more than those five little words.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying out the burgers here based on previous reviews but was a little disappointed. I wouldn't say the huxtaburger was the best burger I've tried lately, but to be fair I've had some delicious ones recently. I really liked the chipotle fries though and the Coopers ale was refreshing. The selection of music is eclectic, from rap to instrumental jazz, a bit odd. Anyway I suppose one wouldn't really linger here, the bar type stools are fixed & not comfy. They do have free WiFi so that's a plus.

Yelp
So yeah, I came to Melbourne on vacation and I was brought here. Here to Huxtaburger. How did it compare to the burgers that I've had in the states? Very well, very very well indeed. I ordered a Huxtaburger and a Vale IPA and after I finished the burger I was still hungry and because I enjoyed the burger....I ordered two more. One time at the joint and I got three burgers. Well worth it. The locale was nice and quaint. It was a tad busy but not overwhelming. We were able to find seats just fine. The crew was very ice. Upon ordering I was told the total and because I don't know the money too well the gentleman that was helping me walked me through which coins to use. Very nice and very helpful. Those are major bonuses for me. The burgers were a good balance of meat, cheese and vegetables. Cooked more than my liking as I usually like my burgers rare but I'm not going to knock the burger based on that as the burger was still incredibly juicy. It's just a minor gripe for a great burger. The beer selection is quite limited to what I'm used to and it didn't help that I don't know Australian beers too well so I was totally willing to try what I haven't had. I went with the Vale IPA because I'm a major fan of IPAs. It was good but nothing special. I wish they had a wider selection but I'm just happy they offered beer so I was a happy chap. Restroom was clean too. That's usually a major sign to determine the cleanliness of the institution. If the restroom is clean then the rest of the place is going to be clean too. Would I come back to Huxtaburger when I come back to Melbourne? Yes I will. Arguably the best burger place I've had in the land down under. Come here and enjoy the meal. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I love this place! It is a once in a while meal, but for a cheat day it is worth it! Gluten and dairy free options are excellent and the staff are brilliant! Bills burger is awesome.
