Hotel Hvala

Real nice location! Nice hotel, although the shower is in the bath. The town is also really cosy and there are a lot of great restaurants. The only con is that the receptionist is not the kindest. Looks like she has been working in the industry for way too long.

We stayed at Hotel Hvala in Kobarid during a fly fishing trip – and it turned out to be a great choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food at the in-house restaurant was delicious, especially after a long day on the river. The hotel is well located, right in the heart of town, making it an ideal base for fishing trips along the Soča River and exploring the surrounding landscape. The scenery is absolutely stunning – clear water, dramatic mountains, and peaceful nature all around. Friendly staff, good food, clean rooms – would definitely come back!

I stayed at Hotel Hvala with my family for 2 nights and had a great experience. The receptionist was kind and welcoming, giving us helpful tips and maps on what to see and do in the area, even calling the tourist office for us for more information. The servers at the restaurant were super friendly, and the food was really good. Breakfast was ready when we came down—no waiting. The location is perfect, right at the start of the Kobarid Historical Trail and in the center of town. The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was quick and thorough. The bathrooms were spotless. Lovely view from the balcony. A practical, comfortable stay—I’d gladly return.

We stayed here for four nights while we fished the Kobarid region. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is excellent! (Even the breakfast was delicious and better than others we've had at hotels in the EU.) The reason I am withholding the fifth star was that our room had a bath versus a shower and that meant kneeling or sitting to wash my hair which I found challenging. Our room was very clean and spacious. You can tell the family takes pride in their hotel and restaurant. We really enjoyed our time here.

Lovely family run establishment with one of the best sea food restaurants in Slovenia. If not the best! We visit their restaurant often and they never disappoint. Absolute gem in Posočje!

Best seafood restaurant in Slovenia. Staff is professional, friendly, and helpful! Anything you need they are there to help wether it is about food preferences or genral questions about the area. In short, a must visit.

There were serious concerns about labor practices, including exploitation of vulnerable workers, you can google it. I strongly urge others to research before going there!! P.S. don't be fooled by latest good reviews, these are owner's friends who also have no morals!!
