"The Hy-Vee chain serves everything from pizza to deli sandwiches, and the cashew chicken is a standout. This version is studded with carrots and celery and sauteed in a light brown sauce." - Anne Roderique-Jones

Ordered a $13 chicken caesar with chicken on the side which was extremely bland, salad was just dressing and cheese no croutons so not even a caesar and it took forever to come out, i was hoping it would be quick as i was on a lunch break but whole thing no bueno and i usually love hyvee togo

Google
As a Google local guide I can't say enough good things about this store. I take Postal parcels here at least 4 days a week and Sarah at Customer Service is both friendly and helpful. The rest of the store is great as well being organized, clean and priced decently. The Asian restaurant tale out is very good as are their other foods. A++++ across the board.

Google
My favorite grocery store! They have a huge meat department, bakery, and cheese department.

Google
Don't treat those with gluten allergies like second-class citizens. We already have to pay more and get less. But now we have to search for all the "meal deal" items ourselves and pay more. If I wanted a regular meal deal, I only have to pay 30.00, and they package it for me, so I just have to pick it up. It's called discrimination. Oh, and where does it say you have to be a member?

Google
The food is good, we’ve been going for years but….. they got ride of the self checkouts. This has made things less efficient, especially late at night. Normally I just go to self checkout in the evening, there’s rarely a line and I would get through very quickly. Tonight they had one register open and we had about 10 people in line….. it was bad. Perhaps that’s just bad luck on my part but…. Look, I just want to check out and go. I’m pretty quick at bagging my own groceries and it’s frustrating have to wait in line for 10 minutes at the one register open after 9 just to have the clearly tired checkout artist taking their own sweet time because they are clearly overwhelmed and are slightly trapped at the head of this hell of Hy-Vee’s own creation. I don’t know why they got ride of self checkout, I don’t really care if I’m honest. My review will be one star until they bring it back.

So happy to get to shop at Hy-Vee! This one is more toned-down than the other location. Thankfully, it is a bit easier to find things, but we still had to do a few laps. Though, we never did find brick cheese. It would be helpful if the signs at the ends of the aisles were more accurate.

Google
Great customer service 💯 the pharmacy can be sometimes a hassle but very helpful staff. The liquor department has a vast selection and this grocery store has a place to eat and enjoy a meal at. The deli area and bakery are excellent 👌 by far.

Google
We love Hy-Vee. They always have fresh choices of groceries. Lately we've been eating lunch at their restaurant area. The Chinese food is awesome. I highly recommend Hy-Vee for groceries or even lunch/dinner.

Yelp
I'm going to write this review for one of Hy-Vee employee's, His name is Elliott and he works in the Hibatahi grill, Hy Vee is very lucky to have someone that gives the best customer service of anyone I have had in a long time and that's saying a lot considering. Elliott made us the best food and he engaged us as when we were there last week to eat the same grill the man was hideous, not friendly did not want to be there from the way he was acting and the food was not so great, but Elliott more than made up for the service previous, The best food I've had from her yet, Thanks Elliott for renewing my faith in employees who gives a darn about their work and you did a wonderful job and great attitude. My hats off to him, Cathy I did tell him and thank him for such great service that I was going to give him the review, great work

Yelp
I called to see if a particular item was in stocks. the meat department at hyvee #2 assured me it was. had to drive 100 miles round trip they didn't have them. they were sorry is all they could say. I'm done with hyvee 2nd time different problem.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite groceries stores, there's a gas station available also wine & spirits. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The fruits and vegetables always look fresh and presentable. Its truly hard walking in for a few things, there's so many things that look delicious. I love the smell of fresh baked goods in the mornings. I've had their donuts early morning and they do not disappoint. I have also ordered a cake and it has been the best we've ever had from a grocery store. They have a variety of everything, I always find everything I'm looking for here. Some items other grocery stores don't carry at all and I can always find them here. Love their sushi and stir fry. I love stopping by during the winter festivities especially for a couple of Almond Kringles. It's so delicious, I love putting it in the microwave for a couple of seconds while enjoying it with my delicious Starbucks.

Leland M.

Yelp
Breakfast was served warm not hot and too long of a wait. Plus coffee was just warm from dispenser. Prices seem a little high

Miya W.

Yelp
We were visiting from NorCal and it was pretty disappointing that they had no organic or grass-fed meats.

Sandy K.

Yelp
Zach I have already attempted to contact hyvee and they have not responded to my message

Marvin C.

Yelp
This was actually a pleasant surprise for dinner. Our group couldn't decide what to have for dinner so this pulled up as a great option with several different food options. From chinese, american, salads and sandwiches you can't go wrong and the price is great for families. They do have an area where you can sit and have your meals. Great for families with no idea on what to eat.

Tim S.

Yelp
Whenever I'm here I shop here, this location is on the west side of town, easy to get to drive around and miss the traffic, this place is so busy all the time, this is oldest of the two Hy-Vee store, it's interesting that they have special that kc area doesn't have like potato for under $2 and in the kc area doesn't, Wednesday nite they had white bread for $1, didn't ring up right, so one of employee that was off and got in line, stopped and help me even though she was off the clock, everybody has positive service, kc doesn't have that positive service like here

Wade B.

Yelp
Usually the "fresh" seafood from Hy Vee is pretty good. "Fresh" wasn't the case with the cod I purchased earlier this week. The fish was kept cold until cooked later the same day. While baking it developed a very rancid fish smell which is unusual for cod. The taste was equally unpleasant. We through it out. Buyer beware!

Brian C.

Yelp
This is a great grocery store that is definitely a cut above the competition. Conveniently located off of Kansas Expressway and Battlefield, Hy-Vee is a good place to drop by to pick up dinner or groceries for the week. The hours are good since they're open from 6am to 11pm, the place is clean and professionally run, and they have their own gas station, market grille, and Starbucks. I definitely recommend this place as a superior alternative to picking up food at Walmart to anyone living or working nearby.

Yelp
For my Texas friends, this is the Midwest's version of HEB ... except this HyVee is more like Central Market in its wide array of fresh and unusual offerings. It's a little more expensive here than most grocery stores, but the quality of products is a step above the norm. And they obviously took Marketing 101 because my wife and I were walking into this store and it smelled like Texas, with the aroma of hickory smoke bathing tender beef briskets and racks of pork ribs. (We were sold!) The ribs and brisket tasted fine -- better than many BBQ joint versions -- although I was a little disappointed that the dude taking care of us had never heard of the "deckle." C'mon, man! Sure, it's the point-end, but that fatty section? It's called the deckle. (I wouldn't bother mentioning this, except he looked at me like I had two heads when I said "I'd like a half pound of the deckle.) All of that aside, this place has enough prepared foods to feed a dozen funeral parties ... and then some. The salad/olive bar is among the freshest and brightest I've seen in a long time. Produce is clutch. Meat department gets there for the cash too, although there aren't as many Prime Grade cuts as one would expect at a place like this. I wish HyVee would consider opening a store or six in the Lone Star State. It would truly up the grocery story game ... even in cities like Dallas and Houston.

Ty M.

Yelp
FOOD POISONING!!! Do Not eat at their little Chinese restaurant. The next morning I was more sick than I've ever been from eating their Chinese food. That was the only thing I ate all day so I know it was HyVee 100 percent. They are also way more expensive than Walmart when it come to groceries and definitely don't have much variety compared to Walmart. They have a few things that Walmart doesn't but it's things to attract customers (Starbucks) (Alcohol) etc. nothing really worth shopping for though.

Matthew C.

Yelp
They have tons of items to choose from ! the layout can be confusing at sometimes because of how large the store is. the staff at the in store werent super friendly but other then that it is a great store.

Timothy V.

Yelp
We just started shopping with y'all for the first time ever. We bought some sirloin cube steaks wrapped in bacon and omfg they are juicy and delicious! We r definitely enjoying it! Also the corn superb! Thanks guys! You now officially have new customers thanks to your meat department!

Steve R.

Yelp
This isn't the cheapest grocery but cheap is not always the best. This store has fresh produce which is important. They have coupons and a discount card which can really make this store price competitive. Very clean. Now the food in the restaurant/deli is what sets this place apart from many stores. Great Pizza, Chinese, Sushi and Italian. Dine in, carry out and groups. This is different than the Market Grill. Great for lunch. Staff is very helpful and friendly. If you have not eaten here, your missing out. They have a full Bakery, Pharmacy, Deli, butcher, on-site dietitian and Floral department. They carry general merchandise like pet food, baby food, school supplies, grill supplies and seasonal items. They have a club room you can reserve for parties and meetings. Many more services and the service desk worth checking out. Hope this helps.

Matt R.

Yelp
My wife and I shop at HyVee once a week , and we live an hour and a half away. The produce is our main draw , as were vegetarians 95% of the time , but this store has something for every lifestyle . Their Floral Center is really unique , and full of lovely arrangements. The new pizza to order section is neat , as is the Bakery and all the hot food options. The butcher area looked like they had a fantastic variety as well.

Mark T.

Yelp
Great stuff so far. They stay "on brand" and above expectations from a grocery store. The prepared foods are well done. Staff is friendly. The store is overly busy...but I guess we are accustomed to that!

Kathy W.

Yelp
I moved to Branson last year from Phoenix. There are particular foods and snacks I was used to buying that no stores in Branson carry. I was in Springfield months ago, and stopped at HyVee. HyVee carries many of the specialty items I like at a reasonable price. It's a great store, clean, organized, always well stocked. Now, about every 4-6 weeks I make a HyVee run to Springfield and stock up on my healthy stuff.

Dan S.

Yelp
I have used the delivery service many times. They use Instacart and it is not too far and there is never a problem they don't fix immediately. Very glad to have them.

Adel Q.

Yelp
I really like this Hy-Vee! It's one of the only grocery stores in Springfield that has an olive bar! It also has a section where you can fill up your own nuts, dried fruit and things like that. The bakery has lots of things from pita bread to baguettes and so does the deli! I can always come to this Hy-Vee knowing that I'm going to find everything I need. My favorite part is the "health" section where all the organic or healthyish foods are put there.

B H.

Yelp
A big shout out to all the employees and management of the Springfield Hy Vee. Thanks giving dinner pick up lines were a nightmare. The rain did not help. Long car lines wrapped around the building and out to Battlefield. Employees were hustling and exhausted and were keeping up the holiday cheer. Had to change my time from 6 pm Wednesday to 6 am Thanksgiving morning. I was first in line as they got set up this morning and the gentleman who assisted was professional but exhausted. Wanted to let everyone who worked the pick up they did great with the changes in procedure and the outlandish order numbers. Hopefully they will not have to be doing this next year. JOB WELL DONE!!

John A.

Yelp
This store has no peer when it comes to customer service, and Laura (Meat Dept) demonstrated an outstanding example of that asset. Ever heard of Jackfruit? Nether had I, but I was tasked by my wife to procure the item. Laura pursued the request tirelessly, enlisted personnel in other departments and checked inventory to ascertain its location. With a vague location from inventory, she continued the quest and the elusive Jackfruit was finally located. The example of perseverance, teamwork, and customer concern was amazing and even more commendable because the value is so rare in the commercial world these days. Thank you HiVee for your employees dedication and your management's leadership in permitting such customer care.

Vincent B.

Yelp
HyVee redefines "grocery store" -- they put Walmart to shame. HyVee is my preferred store for food and necessities.

Chris Y.

Yelp
Whenever I come to town to visit my Grandma, I always end up shopping here. This grocery store is more than a regular grocery store. They have a hot food section that is more the size of a cafeteria than the average deli you might find in an average grocery store. The store is very organized, and easy to navigate. What also stands out is the customer service. My Grandma gets her prescriptions from the pharmacy from time to time, and the people there are always nice.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
New Hy-Vee on East Sunshine, in Springfield, MO. This is the newest Hy-Vee in Springfield. The UPSIDE: It is well laid out and has much to offer in the way of a variety of products and brands. They carry a nice variety of food items that are harder to find elsewhere. Nice bakery and the food court looks inviting. The DOWNSIDE: Generally the prices were high compared to other grocery stores on East Sunshine Street. I would venture to say 5-15%+ higher. There are some specials that seem to match or slightly better the local norm. I thought the flyer that arrived in the mail for the new store was deceptive. One side had inviting images of groceries and the other seemed to be more general information with a large coupon offering $10 off if your total purchases exceeded $30. Nice, except it wasn't. There was a small disclaimer, too small for the average person to read without a magnifying glass. I estimate it was in 4-point type in a light font. It was refused at the checkout with the checkout lady saying it was only for shoes. Will we go there again? Probably but only as a last resort, or if we are looking for something that is hard to find elsewhere and we are willing to pay a premium.

Karen S.

Yelp
Stopped in to select floral bouquet. Visiting from out of town. Impressed with the entire store and helpfulness of staff. The very nice lady in floral department re-wrapped an arrangement to make it special for mother-in-law. Outstanding!

Kenny R.

Yelp
I've always loved Hy-Vee for their friendly service and innovative ideas. However Isles Online can take just as much time shopping in store. In my experience the crews struggle to hustle in times of high demand. I will often sit without moving for 30 minutes. There are moments no one is being loaded. It could be the system or the workers...I cannot tell. The service is still worth using if you dont want to shop. If you want to avoid sitting in your car and waiting I would choose a late pick up time.

James M.

Yelp
I love this store, if I lived here I would regularly shop here. Shopping is easy store is setup with healthy food in one area and can avoid the other foods if wanted. I wish they would have kept Caribou Coffee though, as I am not a Starbucks fan and left the seating the way it used to be because now it's cramped. But love the food court variety especially the Springfield Style Cashew Chicken.

Michelle G.

Yelp
This was probably one of the greatest shopping experiences I have ever had! We stopped by here after arriving from the airport to pick up some food to cook at our lodge. I was thoroughly impressed with this place. First off, its HUGE. Second, its open 24/7!!! The entire time we were there everyone was super friendly. They have Chinese food, pizza and sandwich options and a huge salad bar. We were on a time schedule so we didn't have time to wander too much....but we wanted to soooo bad!! If you like cheese come here. They have an entire section dedicate to cheese. Also they have an entire section of healthy organic etc foods. After getting our food we decided to pick up some beers. There was a whole section of craft beers that you could mix and match...and they were all cold! I have never seen such a large selection of mix and match beers. Its a great opportunity to try something new without having to get a whole six pack! Overall I would definitely come back here if I was in the area and needed food. I would recommend coming here even if its a bit further and choose it over closer stores.

Charles G.

Yelp
Whether you evaluate your shopping experience based on the selection of unique items available to purchase, the level of service received or the number of extra amenities offered, you'll quickly find that HyVee stands head and shoulders above most of the other grocers in the Springfield area. Arguably most impressive is the health market area, which contains a vast array of niche items that can be hard to come by in a city this size; however, someone in the market for prepared food is likely to be just as pleased with the deli, hot bar, salad bar and sushi areas. The meat counter is similarly well-stocked and staffed, offering a wide variety of "short-cut" items for those who want to cook good food without a lot of prep-time. And the produce is almost always of acceptable freshness. That said, my beef with HyVee is that they seem to struggle when it comes to keeping certain items in stock, and repeated requests to order more don't seem to resolve the problem. In fact, it happens so often, that I've made a habit of seeking these items elsewhere - sometimes at nearly double the price - because I can't count on them being at HyVee when I need them. In the end, this significant shortcoming is the only blemish on what might otherwise be a five-star review.

Raymond G.

Yelp
This has to be like the flagship of all HyVee's. It very big, there is a cooking school here, a big sample cooking area where people can try food, large bakery, large butcher, large florist, large everything! There is a "healthy" section if you so choose to spend more money for no reason, but ya its there if you're looking for more of a whole food kind of feel. Anyways, all in all this is a huge grocery store, clean with lots of selection, I wish this could be more of the standard for other grocery stores.

Chris L.

Yelp
I get almost teary-eyed thinking about how this place reminds me of the Smitty's (the OG Glenstone location) I went to when I was a little kid. All of the pay-by-the-pound food items (Brach's candy, pretzels, etc.), the magazine section, and the nice big cafeteria. It's not exactly like the old Smitty's, but it's close enough to draw a comparison. The food from the cafeteria is good, but the seating area really needs to be bigger. Seriously, they need to build a new addition or something, because the place is really cramped. And, well, the prices aren't going to make me switch from Walmart any time soon (as much as I hate that place). I like the variety at HyVee, but their prices are kind of high. I guess that's where the comparisons to the old Smitty's end (besides not having an ice cream bar, a full restaurant, a couple of arcade machines, a sporting goods section, a grocery pickup etc). HyVee will remain a nice place to visit, but my real grocery shoppin' will be done elsewhere.

Kelly H.

Yelp
First time to this store. We're from Oregon and stopped in to pick up food for our airbnb. I really liked it. They have a great organic and gluten free selection for every food category. They sell organic fruits and vegetables, but they're much more expensive than what I'm used to paying. The selection of beer, wine, and alcohol was in a massive room! Impressive! I loved finding items I can't get in Oregon and have never seen before.

Kathleen P.

Yelp
I live in Nixa and often drive to Hy-Vee in Springfield because it is the best grocery store in the area. I have bad arthritis and have always had my groceries loaded in my car, at my request, by driving up to the pharmacy entrance, where a friendly Hy-Vee employee has always been happy to put my groceries in the back of my car...it's never been an issue... until today. I just left Hy- Vee, where I just purchased $458.00 worth of groceries. When I asked the individual checking me out if I could drive up and have someone load my groceries, she initially looked at me as if I had asked her to climb up on the roof and jump off. She then said she would have to find someone over 18 to load because I had purchased liquor. I replied, "OK, that's fine". In the meanwhile, a manager(?) was called over to approve my check. While he was standing at the cash register, I tried to confirm someone could load my groceries. This time the checker answered, "yes, but you'll need to let us know when you're at the curb." Never have had to do that before. I asked how, by calling? Checker's response "no, you'll have to get out of your car and come in and tell us you are at the curb." The manager(?) never even acknowledged my presence or made any offer of service. Since when? It takes me at most 60 sec to walk to my car and another 60 sec to drive to the pharmacy entrance. Someone has always met me there with my groceries and loaded them...and I've been coming to your store since it opened. Man, oh man...it's back to Harter House, where they jump at a chance to offer good customer service and/or Price Cutter on Battlefield... where they often ask, before, I can, if I'd like to drive up and have my groceries loaded. What's happened to your customer service? Please don't play the COVID card...I've shopped at Hy-Vee many times in the last 7 months and had my groceries loaded. Manager guy...you need some additional training, or perhaps another career choice. Frustrated and disappointed Springfield Hy-vee. Kathy Purvis, Nixa, MO

Yelp
Fantastic store with fantastic managment! Ordered groceries from Phoenix, AZ for my sick mom in Springfield. The process was amazing and the staff went above & beyond to make the delivery happen as effortless as possible. Thank you Carleen for all of your help!! (Sorry if I misspelled your name!)

Victoria V.

Yelp
We go to the one in Lake of the Ozarks. Amazing quality! There are people who are there, and help! It's better and less money than Wal-Mart, and not nearly as much"wildlife".

Casey G.

Yelp
Seriously all the cases of water are outside in the heat. What to they do put it back in to sell. Cancer waiting to happen to all those unsuspecting people. Hyvee should be ashamed

Ashley D.

Yelp
I've been going here since they've opened. I thought it was a pretty good place for a while until about 2 months ago. It started going downhill due to the lack of products on the shelves. The milk I buy is always out, only 3 brands of fabric softener was on the shelf. The only time that I have gone and seen the shelves completely stocked is at 5am in the morning. The only good things about this place is their customer service, meat department and produce department. They've lost my business completely!

Charly T.

Yelp
Having multiple meals catered While staying in town and the consistency is off. Way off. Salad served without dressing. Salads served that were just lettuce. Bland flavor on most meals. Will not use their catering service again.

Austin S.

Yelp
I've been wanting an hour and 15 minutes for my pickup order... I understand that things don't always run smoothly but this is ridiculous

Courtney L.

Yelp
Okay, I want to be clear, my husband and I LOVE HyVee as a grocery store. Everyone is so friendly and nice. They're healthy food selection is so abundant, and overall, they have a lot of variety of great brands. They also always give my son a cookie from the bakery, which is so sweet. However, I want to talk specifically about the cake bakery. I ordered my son's first birthday smash cake from here, because I trusted HyVee to make it really cute and yummy. I just wanted it decorated pretty for my son's winter/Christmas themed party. After discussing, the baker herself showed me the picture of the cake in the picture (the one that I clearly screenshot from Pinterest) and asked if I liked it. I told her I would love a boy version of it, and she said she could do it, so I said great. The next picture is what I got....now I'm honestly not picky, but I could've baked a sugar cookie and cake, dumped fondant all over it, and drew a "1" on the cookie if I wanted that. I even told the baker that I wasn't a fan of tons of fondant, and I wanted very thin, minimal fondant. Her response was "oh yeah, I don't like it either." Yet she dumped a super thick layer of it on. My son couldn't even hardly get through to the actual cake, we had to take a knife to it. It was very sloppily done, and I wanted to cry when I picked it up. However, the woman I spoke with wasn't there, and there was no reason to be hateful to the woman that was just handing the cake over to me. I also ordered 30 cupcakes for the adults, frosted with white frosting, with glitter and lots of little pearls on top. The baker, again, was the one who suggested the pearls, and she didn't even put them on. I don't even think that putting pearls on cupcakes is hard, she just didn't do it. If she couldn't do the cake, if it was too hard or something, I don't know why she would've specifically asked me if I liked it, and told me she could do it. I'm really not one to complain, I try to always be kind to those who deal with the public, but I feel like if I'm paying for something, quality matters. On top of all of this, my parents and I all immediately said "this cake does not taste good, it tastes old, and like pure sugar." Overall, I'm just telling people, don't order your kids' birthday cakes here. I had such high hopes for this cake and was so sad about what I got.

Taylor H.

Yelp
This place is wonderful, I'm such a fan. It's not cheap, but that's why Aldi's exists. This place exists for fantastic prepped food, fresh produce, dairy and meat products, and those unique items that you just can't find anywhere else. Their health food selection is great. The buffets are excellent too, you can't go wrong with any of them.

Len L.

Yelp
Really enjoying the savings, and deals my family gets here, and the fuel saver card is a God send. We love the cafeteria area, and we often eat there before shopping. Yes, they are on the south side, but us north siders are true fans of this store. Maybe some day they'll build a store on the north end so we can look our fellow north siders in the eye again, lol. We only go to wally world now just for odds and ends things we can't find here. We highly recommend Hy-Vee as everyone's grocery store.

Kathy C.

Yelp
7-8-17 Vincent and his staff in catering provided out family reunion with a GREAT selection of the ranch potato salad (really a hit!). Also served fried chicken, ham and the Rainbow Rotini salad. Every piece of chicken was hot and moist when served. They were easy to work with, courteous when delivered and reasonable. I would highly recommend to anyone. K. Clancy Springfield, MO

Amy N.

Yelp
I am absolutely in LOVE with Hyvee!! They have the most gorgeous, ecclectic, affordable selection of produce imaginable. Coming from the West Coast where fresh produce of all types is available multiple times of the week at local farmers markets, I was sadly disappointed in my first few years in Missouri in the produce selection. However, the opening of this Hyvee has changed my grocery shopping trips. Hyvee also provides an abundant selection of fresh made food from sushi to subs, salads to american cuisine. The cheese, liquor and wine selection is unique as well. The only downfall to this store is that, at peak times during the week (3-8); and weekend (all day), there is a terrible crowd and it is hard to navigate around with a shopping cart. My solution-use a basket and pick up only the necessities, I save the big grocery trips for later at night, when I can have space to breathe and meander through the aisles.

Lucas L.

Yelp
Hy Vee is a awesome store in more ways than one. First they have a great selection of items, even some specialty stuff, they have friendly employees which seems to be becoming a rare thing now days. Cons yes there is some. Prices can be a tad high in my opinion. In fact we started going to Aldis first to get a few things and then stop here to get the other stuff we wanted we couldn't get here. It actually saved us quite a bit of money shaved about 30$ off are grocery bill doing that way. Despite that I will still continue to go here. It's clean friendly and they have stuff I can't get other places. I highly recommend this store but also don't forget it pays to shop around to.

Al G.

Yelp
The store is big , but the quality of the food is not good at all . Expensive for the quality and freshness of the food . Very disappointed.. they increasing their prices every day.

Trent C.

Yelp
The HyVee is awesome. Best grocery store in Springfield. Plus pet items, drug items, etc., all at good prices. Quality is king here over price, so some may complain not everything is "cheap". Still, it's pretty hard not to find a good deal everyday. Very friendly and helpful employees, things ring up right 99% of the time. Plus, you can tell they pay attention to small things. They have chefs there cooking up smoked items, and an awesome hot food / restaurant/ salad bar. A bit higher priced than nearby places, and worth it. The produce is unmatched, always a good price on lettuce. Wide variety of items. Pet items are either less than Wal Mart, or a trivial amount higher - but once again, Hy Vee's quality comes to the rescue here, too. True, the cat food is .03 higher, but they carry EVERY variety wet food in the major brands. Every. That's really a big deal to my cats! The seafood section is very high quality. Not always the lowest price, however not very far off when they are higher - and once again, there's the Hy Vee quality extra that makes it well worth the extra bit. Meat section is great, too. Hard to review this place without saying the same things over and over... chefs make special meat deals, like the pork / bacon meatloaf I got last night. Best meatloaf I have ever had in my life. Dairy, frozen., etc is great. The bottom line is that they really try hard. They sell real wasabi, only store I could find that does (horseradish is NOt wasabi!) and they do it for the same price as the faux wssabbi. You can tell they pay attention to the details. Great values on other items - I just got batteries for free after rebate; great liquor selection; always good deals in the drug area, too, from toothpaste to shampoo. They have a loyalty card program that not only gets you the checkout printed coupons, digital coupons, but also gets you fuel savings. Yeah, I'll pay .03 more for cat food to get .20 a gallon off gas! Great sales every week, too. They also have a real US Post Office contract station. The health / organic / bulk section is awesome. Be prepared to save big money on spices and other bulk foods. I can't think of anything bad about this store.

Yelp
This is my spot for groceries and wine. They have everything you need or want to try. You can grab lunch or dinner here as well for a reasonable price. This may sound like a normal grocery store but the people here are what seals the deal. They are constantly treating all of their customers as if they were family! I have been there a dozen or so times to get my groceries or grabbing lunch because its a quick in and out. The minute I get through the door I am greeted by someone who is saying hello or asking if there anything I can help you find. Lastly- how can you beat the fuel saver card?! Hellooooooo I just bought gas for 1.10!
