Excellent customer service. Clean rooms and hotel was really nice. Met the Director of Marketing and he was so accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance to most major restaurants, Beale Street and so many other places. Hi Th Lu recommend staying here when visiting Memphis. Breakfast was good also

The hotel is located in a central location making it very walkable to most spots downtown. The location had its pros and cons, we know this no fault of the hotel’s, but upon pulling up the car next to us had a smashed in window, drunk people were stumbling everywhere, some guy was screaming in the street. For the most part, the hotel staff were friendly. We booked the hotel for the rooftop bar, but since it is open to the public we had to wait to go up and were told it was “at capacity” yet it was pretty empty when we went up there. There were two bartenders who were completely evading eye contact and ignoring any new orders. The one bartender at the downstairs bar was managing patrons 1000x better than the two upstairs and fielding more people. The valet also had extended wait times. We ended up having to retrieve our car ourselves and some guests mentioned waiting anywhere from 30min to an hour for their car. The hotel seemed to be poorly staffed and needed better management. Overall, the rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The location was good for what we wanted, but the hotel was underwhelming and hospitality was lacking. The room did have a great view of the Mississippi River and we got to see fireworks from our room Saturday night! All things considered we likely wouldn’t stay here again. We will say the front desk the night we checked in was great and housekeeping was prompt and kind!

I had an amazing stay at the Hyatt Centric Beale Street! The rooms are incredibly modern and stylish—super comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The food at the hotel was delicious, offering great flavors and quality. One of my favorite spots was the outdoor yard with the pool—it’s such a cool, relaxing vibe right in the heart of Memphis. Definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the city!

Beautiful hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Housekeeping was amazing! Teenager loved the pool! We didn't use the valet parking, but there was ample parking around the hotel. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again!

Google
Beautiful hotel however, during my stay, there was a power outage for hours with no indication or notification from the front desk that there was any power coming on anytime soon they didn’t even answer the phone when I called down there. I called multiple times.. In addition, the valet service sucked. They took forever and expected tips.. also the café didn’t not make a caramel macchiato and asked me how much syrup I want it and didn’t even mix the drink. Otherwise my day was good

Google
The stay here was nothing but amazing! The staff is attentive and my room was extremely clean. I always do a quick clean when coming in and found no dirt spots. The parking attendants were extremely helpful and friendly. The manager TJ was exceptionally helpful. You lead by example and it definitely shows. We had the pleasure of to speak with Gabby and MY GOSH such the sweetest person I’ve met. I can see why the staff has a warming atmosphere. The pool was closed under construction but nothing to be mad about. 1 thing I did not like was the rooftop is closed on Sunday and Monday due to slow business. I feel that the even if one person show up it should be open. We missed that part due to use checking out Tuesday morning.

Google
Very nice upscale feel hotel right on Beale Street. The staff is welcoming, and they have a very nice and engaging rooftop bar with friendly staff and bartenders. The hotel is well maintained from the lobby to the each room inside, and they are very responsive to any requests that you might have.

Google
I am a recurring guest of this Hyatt location. The pool is amazing. The rooms are always clean. The restaurant menus are ideal and always great food selections. I highly recommend. The location is also the best.

Eydie R.

Yelp
This is a great hotel with a fabulous rooftop bar and lounge. The staff was very nice, check-in was a breeze. Loved the location, which was a few blocks from all the happenings on Beale Street. I would definitely stay here again. The views are gorgeous!

Jason K.

Yelp
Internet SUCKS. If you rely on internet for life. Don't come here. It's so frustrating.

Edward C.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. Employees were friendly, valet was great, and the rooftop was so much fun. Let me start with going inside. Beautiful clean entryway where you are met by friendly staff. Had a bit of a line but they worked quickly and I hardly had a wait time. You're walked up to your room by one of the bellhops and helped with the luggage. The rooms are not overly fancy, but also not out of date. The shower was a very good size and the water pressure was great. Only issues I had, the bathroom reeked of burnt marijuana (something they can only attempt to control and deter), and is absolutely tiny. Granted, you don't spend much time in the bathroom (I least hopefully not) but when you do, it's nice to be comfortable. The bathroom could use at least another foot of room. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return!!!!

Caroline D.

Yelp
The valet staff are helpful and fun to talk to We didn't talk to any other employees because we use the app to check in and get a mobile room key The hotel is really nice, newly renovated to a high standard. Zero complaints, centrally located and i would be happy to return.

Yelp
Fantastic location for exploring Memphis. It's just a stones throw away from the Beale Street entertainment district. We were initially a little apprehensive about walking around downtown at night but the surrounding area felt perfectly safe on Friday night. As a Globalist, I was upgraded to the Beale Street Suite and it was one of the largest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Very high end apartment feel with a walk-in shower and gorgeous view of downtown. We only stayed one night, so we didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of the fitness center or pool but they both looked great (see my photos). There was also a rooftop bar called Beck & Call that we didn't see but will definitely come back next time. The only down side was the cost of valet parking, which was $33 a night for registered guests... seems a bit high for Memphis but I guess it's because of the location. There's a public parking garage right across the street called MLGW Parking for $15 per night.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Decided to come to the rooftop Saturday evening about 830! The weather was so nice and surprisingly it wasn't crowded at all!! The bartender staff was great and the views overlooking downtown were too! Def a vibe

Christine R.

Yelp
The best thing about this Hyatt was the location and the view of the pool from your room. The hotel was in a central location where you can walk to the main strip for dining and entertainment. The parking at the hotel is outrageous $32 a day. You can park across the street in the parking garage for $15 - it's good if you are in for the night but if you will be going in and out - pay the $32. Once we arrived at the hotel the cleaning lady was virtually non existence. We stayed for 2 nights, I had to get extra towels off of the cart in the hallway and call the front desk for other supplies. The room was small we couldn't fit a small cart in the room. It was only a small table and a sitting area under the TV in the room. Thank goodness the view from the room made up for the short comings. The pool area and lounge area around the pool was awesome. The rooftop had a nice view where you could watch the sunset. It wasn't a bad Hotel - just small rooms and spotty cleaning service.

Bill T.

Yelp
Stayed here for a conference and it was not too bad. Check in was very quick and easy and my room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great! Oddly, the shower was a box that was kind of in the middle of the room between the sink and the bed. I was staying by myself but if you're sharing a room, just know that you step right out of the shower into the room so hopefully you're not the shy type! The design was cool but I would have preferred a real desk with a work chair as opposed to the table and lounge chairs. There was decent space for hanging clothes as well as drawers to stash stuff. The conference space was nice as well. I loved the old industrial look of the conference space. I didn't use the gym but went to check it out and it had a decent amount of equipment, all in working order. There was an outdoor pool that would have been nice to use on those 90 degree days when I was there! Location is very close to all the nightlife on Beale Street. Just walk two blocks and you're there. The one thing (not the hotel's fault) was that Uber and Lyft tell drivers to drive up Front Street and then make a left/u-turn into the narrow driveway. Sometimes the traffic made that tricky.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Nicer than I expected as I don't normally stay at the Hyatt brand. Our room was small and clean. The common areas were nice. My only advice is to have better breakfast options at the restaurant. Being in Memphis, I was expecting excellent food but it was below basic. The customer service throughout the hotel was excellent!

Shanta F.

Yelp
Hyatt is a very neat and clean facility and it has a relaxing and fun atmosphere. It's located in the downtown area and just literally seconds away from the Famous Beale Street, where you have access to great restaurants and entertainment options to say the Least.

Nick G.

Yelp
Location: great walking distance to a lot Front desk: staff was average, nothing to brag about simply transactional. We weren't aware of any hotel amenities.. example: breakfast, gym, etc Hotel: new, modern, with clean unique rooms.. my first Time to Memphis so not sure if I'd stay again.. but hotel seems very safe and clean! Gym is beautiful and pool area is nice

John H.

Yelp
Hotel is nice, but has 20% tax rate. Parking and unloading is risky at best as it is in a busy traffic area. The room was clean, but the shower location was odd. It took me a minute to figure out where it was.

L.J. B.

Yelp
I was very excited to stay here and even booked a River view room. The window is only half the length and my view was more of the construction behind the hotel. The location is convenient at the corner of Beale Street. That made it easy to walk to restaurants and exercise along the River where you can catch a break in a hammock as well. I was disappointed that after we had returned after 9pm after leaving before noon, that our room was not cleaned. I mentioned this to the staff and towels were brought to the room soon after. The valet was great but even if you request your vehicle through the app, go down and physically ask someone to retrieve it.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
To start with their booking "service" canceled the wrong reservation so now I have to argue with the front desk to get a room. The rooms themselves have "open bathroom " layout - I don't watch my husband's morning routine at home and don't appreciate it while I'm on vacation. The bartender at the rooftop bar was beyond rude....if a customer tells you the drink is not made correctly you don't argue with them. The two stars are that it's close to Beale Street and Ubers were easy to get

Denise J.

Yelp
The hotel IS in a great location and walking distance of Beale Street and the Riverfront. Nice lobby. Valet service was good and the wait to check in and check out was not long. Yes, valet parking is $33 day. Rooms are small as stated in other reviews, but ours was clean. (Make sure you check the direction of the shower nozzels in the shower, before you turn it on - lol ). Don't expect any information from the Registration desk. They have no information on tours, no directions, etc. Its more like a Kiosk rather than a full registration desk. Always, do your own research and scheduling before you arrive. I was disappointed that the Rooftop is only available on certain days. We did visit the lobby bar, however the male bartender was not friendly. Now, let's talk about the menu and the price of the food. Totally overpriced. $4 for a small cup of coffee, and $18 for breakfast. We were so not impressed with the menu options...at all. I do love a stay at the Hyatt hotels, and grabbing a cocktail and appetizer or meal at the bar is always a part of my visit. This time it was not.

Sam L.

Yelp
Great hotel location. Very clean. Pool area between the two hotels is a nice set up but small and few lounge chairs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Big shout out to night auditor Carolyn Smith. After getting to the hotel at midnight she was super friendly and efficient getting us checked in and on our way.

Melanie C.

Yelp
Love the modern, industrial feel to this hotel. We always stay at a Hyatt hotel when we travel. This has been my favorite one we've stayed at. It was very clean.

Roger G.

Yelp
Great location and overall quality, the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but the amenities make up for that. The staff are wonderful and the rooftop bar is the perfect spot for a sunset picture.

Bar M.

Yelp
The hotel is nice and not far from Beale street and the Fed Ex Forum. Making the reservations online was easy. Upon arriving there is a small space in front for valet parking which can be crowded. The check in was also easy. I gave two stars because I requested twice for a roll away bed. I would have given one star for the smell of the room. Whoever does the housekeeping used so much bleach that the room smelled like a swimming pool. I couldn't open the windows for relief, nor keep the door open. It was so unbearable. I asked housekeeping for an air freshener to no avail and the nice gentleman brought a disinfectant. Because of this, it will be my first and last stay in a Hyatt hotel. So looking forward to the explanation from customer service regarding this issue.

Deven C.

Yelp
Not a good experience. Rooftop closed and the bar only serviced can beers, didn't even open the cans for us and only offered a "tall glass" after he over heard me talking about it.

Chel H.

Yelp
Roof Top Bar has an amazing view and to add because of this weather a bomb fire spit. It really sat the mood for the special Anniversary occasion for my husband and I

Bristole W.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff friendly but would have appreciated more information when we checked in. We had to ask tons of questions. Specifically about parking, pool/rooftop bar info, restaurant info. Would be awesome if there was complimentary coffee along with the water. The coffee we paid for was awful!!! Do not recommend! We tried it one morning and had an sour taste. We chose to walk the two blocks to Starbucks in the morning instead the next two mornings. We chose to park ourselves in the garage across the street instead of the outrageous valet prices. Overall very clean hotel. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the views and ambiance on the rooftop. Pool needed cleaned , a lot of dirt and leaves so we never used it. Shower placement is very odd.

Patricia R.

Yelp
This hotel is ok. The pros: Friendly staff - everyone was kind and helpful Cool lobby Well equipped gym Lovely pool Rooftop bar is nice Cons: Our view was of a construction site Lots of what appeared to be water damage on the ceiling in our room Wifi was spotty We were on the 7th floor and got no sleep Friday night due to noise from the rooftop bar which was the floor immediately above us Valet service is hectic I can't say that I'd stay here again with the other choices in the area.

Robin O.

Yelp
I haven't stayed here yet but for my next staycation I plan to. The hotel is SO COOL! So many party spaces, a great vibe from the clientele, and the Beck & Call bar and interiors are gorgeous. I don't know any other rooftop downtown where you don't have to pay to go up to the rooftop bar. We just had to show ID. I am a wedding officiant, and my bride and groom had spoken with the bar a couple of times to confirm that they could elope quickly when the bar opened at 4:00. Well the manager of the hotel did not know this and was stressed out by it and we had a tearful bride initially... nobody likes a crying bride. Once she spoke with some other managers they escorted us up to the rooftop, and said they were happy to have us. After a little come down. And a little tequila courage. We had a quick ceremony on the rooftop and the couple and their parents and one friend stayed for drinks to celebrate. As I was leaving, my friend Lester from another party was drinking at the bar, having attended a pride brunch and was waiting for another party at 6:00! This is a hoppin place and seems like the place to be, I was worried about parking but it is directly across from the MLGW parking lot and if there's not a major event going on, parking should be $15, the same price as the visitor valet. As a native east Memphian I am not a person who hangs out downtown on purpose often, because paying for parking is not my cup of tea, however, if I'm going to go downtown and hang out at a hotel, this will be the one. Skip the Peabody- this is safer, prettier, cleaner, and cooler with a beautiful interior and a great view of the river.

Bitsy O.

Yelp
If you're picky about where you get your beauty sleep, here's some info about our girl HC... Who is she? -She's the place to be - steps away from where the action is -She's got style - modern with a dash of upscale -She's a good time - rooftop bar, water views ...but she's no cheap date - the (member) rate was close to $400 (+parking) due to the festival, or inflation, which seemed like a lot for a Hyatt in Memphis (Sorry girl) At least she's not a Monet: -Rooms are petite but cool - she's giving boutiquey vibes -She's a clean freak - perfect for the OCD in me -Oh hey pretty - that makeup mirror in the bathroom is one of the many little details that made glam easy She works hard for the money: -Concierge/front desk was helpful and all smiles -She totally gets me - valets on point, like when I forgot my big floppy hat in the car and they literally ran to retrieve it -She's extra in a good way - thank you for making us fresh coffee even when the bar was closed She made it so hard to say goodbye we stayed an extra night! Thanks, Hyatt, for being the hostess with the mostest!

Iyuna D.

Yelp
Great hotel very nice the only downfall is the valet, they are extremely slow with no consideration for your time. Took them 15mins to bring our car then the guy had an attitude. Other than that I would highly recommend. Great location, very accommodating. Rooms don't have microwaves which was surprising.

Shelley R.

Yelp
On July 18th 2023, this hotel lost power, and the backup generator did not work. Forced to wait 2 hours nearly to get to my room only to find a roach scurry across the sink and the phones not working. I tried using my phone the following morning to only to find every extension mailbox full. The staff for the most part was really nice. The valet, Trey, was incredible. Also, the young lady working the bar at the caption next door was super friendly and helpful.

Nisha L.

Yelp
I am writing my review based off of the rooftop ONLY. Not the actual stay because I did not STAY here. To begin with: the security guard coming up was very nice and had great customer service. I came up to the outside patio, and the service was slow and not that welcoming and great. Was asked if I wanted to start a tab, and advised I would just close out. I was brought my card back with no drinks. Waited over 30 minutes for the 2 drinks we ordered. Tried to be considerate of the fact that it was a game night in Memphis but maybe they should've staffed way more servers. Wouldn't come back on a busy night. The ambiance is nice and the view of the bridge is gorgeous.

Dave O.

Yelp
I dont often stay at hilton properties but when I do, the Hyatt is an excellent choice. Great location, friendly staff, rooms are well equipped, lively bar and restaurant area.

Whitney M.

Yelp
The location of the room was quiet which was important for our family. Although there were several weddings happening this particular weekend we were able to close off from the main hallway creating a private area that is quiet and exclusive. Hotel amenities were abundant and boundless! Location of the hotel was functional for a new family and we were easily able to walk around the city to local destinations to explore and dine at quality restaurants. Be advised that the hotel is chic and attracts more of a grown & sexy crowd. We were afforded time to explore the hotel as a young couple thanks to grandparents babysitting nightly so we did take advantage of the views and ambiance on their Beck & Call rooftop bar which draws a local crowd during the evening hours.

Wiley O.

Yelp
This may NOW be my favorite hotel in all of Memphis. Clean rooms, great design, quick checkin process, easy check out and PHENOMENAL front desk team. I had to deduct points for the lack of easy to order food and for some of the slowness at the bar. All in all great location and even bigger thank you to Ms. Carol!

Janet F.

Yelp
We booked the premiere suite for our anniversary. Even requested an early check in. Arrived at the hotel and was told our suite wasn't ready, and it would be a while. Waited an hour and a half in the lobby, long after the early check in that was requested. Checked again and it still wasn't ready. Valet stand had no one working. Cars and people lined up. Hotel guests kept arriving, and got rooms immediately. Still, no room for us. Finally requested a full refund. Had to go through two managers. Not worth waiting longer for a further disappointing experience. Waited outside for a half hour for the valet to bring the car back, only to be told none available to get the car. Waited another 15 for a message stating it would be approximately 10 more minutes. Valet finally brought the car, and had to stop in the middle of the traffic lane because no cars had been moved from check in. Rude, careless employees. Worst Hyatt experience as a Hyatt rewards member ever. Do not recommend at all.

J P.

Yelp
Location is probably the best perk about this hotel. The valet is super unorganized. The service is slow and lackluster. It took 3 hours to get towels because the suite literally had 1 face and 1 body within the shower unit. I'm normally impressed by Hyatt brand but this city may need some reinforcement from corporate to train the locals on the ropes of hospitality.

AngieandLee F.

Yelp
Employees are not people friendly, hotel is clean & within walking distance to Beale St, fees for early checkout

Victoria H.

Yelp
Four Star Hotel, but NOT a Four Star experience. We had a nice room with a river view, but that was about it! First off, the front desk staff was overall extremely rude and seemed like they couldn't care any less about their jobs. The cafe staff was also very rude. One morning I stood at the cash register to pay for some food, and the guy was playing on his phone. When I interrupted him to check me out, he acted like I was inconveniencing HIM! Like excuse me sir, it is your JOB! The room had a broken lamp and a broken outlet. I called the front desk staff to come and bring water to my room. I waited an hour and they never came. I had to go downstairs myself to get the water. Like how lazy can you get? The valet took forever and a day to get our car. There was no one waiting and no valet driver to be seen, and yet when he did finally show up, it took him forever to get our car. Overall, I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. The lack of professionalism and customer service was astounding! We paid for a 4 star experience, but got the customer service experience of a 1 star motel.

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Our stay over Valentine's weekend was wonderful! The most comfortable beds ever! We loved the location as well as the restaurant CIMAS and the rooftop lounge Beck & Call. We will definitely be back!!

Joel S.

Yelp
Really slow service - both at the valet and the front desk. Rooms weren't thoroughly cleaned but were clean enough not to complain (aka wait in line for 30 min at the front desk)

Emily L.

Yelp
Arrived at 1 am Saturday after a 600 mile drive. Nobody to be found at the front desk, or valet. Only people around were security guards. Eventually a valet wandered up and asked for my ticket. I told him we were arriving, and he responded with "we're full, nothing I can do for you". Eventually someone showed up at the front desk. Scale of 1-10 she was about a 1 as far as friendliness. She also was pretty uninterested in the problem of where to park. Eventually she said to park in the garage across the street, which we did. We were only there about 8 hours. The room was ok. Typical Hyatt. In the morning when we left, we attempted to get coffee at the lobby coffee shop. We were the only ones in there and were completely ignored by the lady working. We left without coffee, went across the street to retrieve our car, and left. We would NOT return. There are MUCH better properties around Beale St. Do yourself a favor and find one.

EM B.

Yelp
This hotel is wonderful- awesome location and the updated rooms( without carpet thank you!) are a modern clean aesthetic. Lobby is beautiful , with a small bar area and place to purchase light food items. Gym is small but efficient - no water in gym though, so bring your own. Pool is lovely too with lots of chairs and cabanas. Overall a great hotel.

Natasha M.

Yelp
I booked my stay here as a birthday staycation (I'm from the area). I walked past the building and thought it would be a fascinating place to celebrate. Everything from the lobby when you first walk in looks stunning. The front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and explained about how there are artifacts in the hotel that are from the previous manufacturing company that was located on that site. My room was very comfortable with a nice view of the river and the Hernando de Soto I-40 bridge that is lit colorfully at night. I liked the accents of the Memphis area neighborhoods and points of interest. Beck and Call, the rooftop bar, had a very nice band playing and drinks flowing. I also took advantage of a night swim and met a very nice couple. Overall, this was a very lovely experience and I look forward to seeing the other developments that the Hyatt is putting in place.

Jason H.

Yelp
All around great experience. Our room was spotless and had an amazing view of the Mississippi River. Hotel management was patient, kind and friendly with my wife and I. We had lots of questions and honestly haven't traveled since 2019 but they made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Breakfast was delightful, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Barry served us and took excellent care of us and we had a great time. The lattes and French toast were top of the line! I wish we could have checked out the rooftop bar but the rain kept us inside. There's always next time, and we will for sure be coming back. 10/10 experience.

Jasmine H.

Yelp
Recently attended the Hyatt Caption opening. The bar is great, cute lobby area and the talk shop food truck had a bomb chicken sandwich!

David B.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time over the 4th of July weekend. Rooftop fireworks overlooking the Mississippi river and watching the excitement on Beale Street below. The hotel is in good walking distance to everything. The staff is friendly and prudent. I wish there was another option besides their valet but that is to be expected in a downtown hotel.

Dan A.

Yelp
Just off Riverside Drive and 1-block off Beale Street, this replaces The Peabody for my favorite hotel. Located next to the Orpheum Theatre we had a grand view of the Beale Street Entertainment Center. It was one of those frigid days in January with temps in the upper 20s, so the area was fairly quiet. Well-staffed by friendly folks. Loved the look and feel of the place inside and out. (Note: I understand they are working on the under-bed light situation. LOL) Seems like a perfect design for an entertainment-oriented intersection. Having been in the entertainment business and on the road myself for years this is the kind of hip place that you'll pay $500 a night for in LA. This is my new choice for Memphis.

Bobby R.

Yelp
It's a pretty new hotel so you'd expect it to be a lot cleaner. Our floors were pretty dirty in our room. Plus someone left the toilet un flushed when I first got up to my room ughhh. Besides that my stay was ok.

Gary H.

Yelp
Hotel is beautiful--- love the decor Go Hyatt--- Small Thing--soap dispensers in the shower were empty ---please get on house keeping, over all it was great---

Artemus J.

Yelp
The roof top bar is so lovely and modern. We had a great time with the live band and the drinks where so good. Our new weekend hang out. Everyone should try it for a more upscale and modern experience.

Cathy S.

Yelp
the hotel is excellent close to everything! we're staying here for 5 nights. the staff are not friendly at all. from the front desk to the people that works in the front. they have a face thats shows they hate their jobs!!!! we love hyatt but this one is the first hyatt we stayed at with the bad customer service!!!!

Rob B.

Yelp
Restraint is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so no Breakfast. I paid $28 for two little homemade salads. We'll be finding a better Hotel that offers breakfast. Over priced stay for the lack of services available.
