I HATE this hotel. I checked in about a week ago, and from the very beginning my TV has not been working well. I called once and the engineer came and when I got back to my room the TV was not yet fixed, I called again and was told I needed to be in the room when the engineer was there, so the next day the engineer came and he could not fix the TV. He reset the box and then tried to explain how getting a new one would take a while and so on, at this point I asked him to tell the front desk this so I could get a room change. He said he would do it and ask them to change my room. A day later I had not heard back from them so when I got back to my hotel that night I asked for the room change, I was told that it was not possible that night but that the next day someone would call me when my new room was ready I told them I would be gone till 7 or 8 pm and they said no problem just come to the desk when you get back. I said thank you and went back to my room for the night, the next morning I was woken up by someone asking if the engineer could come to my room, I said yes. They came by when I was already gone, when I got back to the hotel around 7:30pm I went to the desk and asked about the room change. The person behind the desk (without even looking at her computer) told me there were no available rooms and the hotel was at capacity. I told her I was told the night before that I would get a new room today, she said "I don't know what to tell you. We are at 100% capacity we cannot change you today, we'll change you tomorrow". I asked her if she was sure I would be changed the next day because by now this has been going on for a couple days. The other person came over and asked me what was wrong. I told them I had requested a room change because the TV is not working and he asked me to specify what I meant, I told him the engineer has been in my room 3 times, I have called about this 3 other times and no one can fix it. He told me that I could get a room change if I wanted to DOWNGRADE (in a fully booked hotel?) no apology for THEIR broken TV, no apology because THEY screwed up, just attitude. I said no to the downgrade. At this point I am annoyed, I have received only attitude from them, no apology, no room change just excuses. I was then told I could be changed to a 3rd floor room the following day, no view (building in front), lots of noise (I can hear the street from my current room and I am much higher) I am currently in a higher floor, even he knew that the 3rd floor was a bad one and when he suggested it he was not expecting me to take it. Apparently Hyatts policy is to lie. The first lie: when I was told by the engineer that he would let the front desk know to change my room the second lie: when I was told a new room would be ready for me the next day the third lie: when I was told the hotel was fully booked and the fourth lie: when I was told there were rooms available if I wanted to downgrade my room. I have been given the runaround so much in the last couple days that I feel like my head is spinning. Was never even offered a discount, breakfast, pastry or anything for my trouble and their incompetence. Stay AWAY from this hotel!
P.S. this review is going to be sent to as MANY people in as many platforms as I can. I want everyone to know that this hotel does not care about it's guests or their comfort.
