Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo

I stayed at the Hyatt Centric Ginza from Oct 23rd to 25th in 2025, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. Location: The location simply couldn't be better. It is right in the center of Ginza:you are literally a 1 minute walk from the Louis Vuitton flagship store and the Chanel store. It’s perfect if you are planning to shop or explore the area. Room: We received a wonderful surprise upon check-in. Even though we only hold Discoverist status (the 2nd lowest tier), the staff generously upgraded us to a Corner Room! In a city like Tokyo where space is often limited, this room was incredibly spacious. We could easily open both of our large 28 inch suitcases and still had plenty of room to move around. Amenities & Service: One of my favorite touches was the complimentary snack bar. They provided great options like protein bars, Japanese tea, and even electrolyte drinks. Being able to grab a drink or a snack whenever I wanted made the stay feel very "homey." The staff is top-notch. You are warmly greeted every time you enter the building. They were helpful with every request, from recommending restaurants to calling taxis and even shipping our luggage to the next hotel. I will definitely stay here again!

I love the location, the quiet comfortable rooms, the breakfast, and the gym. I love all the hyatts in Japan and each has its particular strengths. This one really lives up to its Centric name—you’re right in Ginza, no train needed, no long walk, it’s all right there. I really enjoyed the cooked to order wild salmon included in the breakfast buffet. I wish the gym had some kettlebells, but I got in a great workout with dumbbells. Also as a globalist, the hotel leant me workout shorts and tshirts which helps in terms of laundry while traveling. While not the full service level of the park hyatt, every staff member I interacted with was extremely helpful and proactive.

Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo offers one of the best Hyatt breakfast experiences I have ever had—the quality and variety are truly exceptional. The service was top-tier throughout the stay, and the suite was impressively spacious and luxurious, which can be a rarity in the heart of Tokyo. Located right in the vibrant Ginza district, it provides a perfect mix of high-end design and comfort. A fantastic choice for anyone looking for a premium stay in a prime location.

This hotel is in a promenade location in the heart of Ginza nestled among luxury stores. The hotel itself has a beautiful bar and breakfast area and otherwise funky/cool vibe. This was also reflected in the staff as well which was younger, friendly and helpful. Kids can feel free to take the Japanese treats as well during their stay.||The room itself is a good size, especially for Tokyo and nicely laid out.||Breakfast was a great variety of Japanese and Western favorites with interesting options like a DIY croffle station. I liked the small touches like the Japanese seasonings for rice and varieties of dairy products. Unfortunately the coffee and tea tasted very much like they came from a cheap machine mixture.||Otherwise I'd stay again for the location and staff.

Highly recommend this hotel. Fun design, lots of amenities and right in the heart of Ginza. Very clean right outside, with restaurant, gym, large lounge lobby area and spacious rooms. Free drinks, snacks and candy at all hours, protein drinks in the gym. Service was excellent, even cleaned my glasses and delivered our luggage to our next hotel. Would definitely stay again! About 30,000 points per night on Hyatt.

The hotel was very nice and exceptionally clean, with amazing service. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The service really stood out as soon as you walk through the front door, you’re greeted by two very friendly people who assist with your luggage and guide you to the elevator for check in. We arrived a bit early, and they kindly let us check in slightly before time. I’ve stayed at many nice hotels... is this one absolutely luxurious? No. Is it bad? Not at all. For the area and the price, I just expected a little more. The location is excellent, and overall, I would definitely stay here again. A big thank you to the staff for the late night snack (cup noodles!) and for letting me borrow a book from downstairs. Small touches like that really make a nice difference.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! We arrived early on a Saturday morning, and while our room wasn’t ready yet, the staff immediately offered to store our luggage and even delivered it to our room before we returned from sightseeing. The service here is truly exceptional — attentive, thoughtful, and genuine. The team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, even calling taxis and waiting by the car until we departed. While Japan is known for outstanding hospitality, this hotel raises the bar even higher. The rooms are beautifully designed and luxurious, and the lobby offers complimentary drinks, snacks, and candies — such a nice touch. We also loved the on-site restaurant and bar, where both the food and service were excellent. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Ginza, within walking distance of some of Tokyo’s best shopping and dining. A perfect blend of comfort, style, and impeccable service. I would absolutely stay here again!

People kept telling me that because my hotel was in Ginza that I would be far from other places and sites plus it would be expensive in this area. They were so wrong. I LOVED staying here in Ginza esp at the Hyatt. This hotel is about 2 blocks from the Ginza Station which gives to access to 3 lines plus all the most high end anything within walking distance. Food options also great because you can get great cheap food and great fancy foods too. The staff here at Hyatt are amazing. Theyre all super polite, helpful and just overall so hospitable. The rooms are comfortable chic and supplied with everything you need from coffeemaker (Nespresso), lighted vanity mirror, toothbrush, cotton swabs, etc. The rooms blackout shades are electric and work very well. Plan to stay at this hotel again when I visit Tokyo. Forgot to mention the hotel also provides you with water bottles to take with you, water drinks snacks 24/7 in the lobby. Stayed here for 5 nights while vacationing with my family. As the other reviews have stated, this is an excellent hotel that helped me and my family enjoy our trip. Rather than a large-scale luxury hotel, I would classify it more as a 4-star boutique hotel. Still, I really have nothing but good things to share. Pros: Clean, spacious (to Japanese standards) room. Comfortable beds but pillows are on the firmer side. Very nice blackout curtain that will darken the room. The star of the room is the bathtub/shower room. Excellent water pressure and deep, spacious bathtub. Mini fridge included. Slipper provided, along with 2 empty water bottles that can be filled with drinking water on each floor. The rooms are also very quiet. Not once did I hear anything outside of my room. Spacious, nice gym with free weights and treadmills and pull-up bar. Excellent WIFI - not once did it disconnect to our phones or tablet. Excellent staff - each and every one greets you with a smile and is there to help. They will even assist with restaurant reservations. My daughter loved their robot dog Aibo. She played with it at least once a day. Lobby area also provides free beer, water, tea, coffee, and some snacks. Free arcades and origami paper games too. The hotel provides large, sturdy umbrellas free of charge on the ground level. This came in handy as it rained a couple of days during our stay. Excellent location - everything is within a 5-10 minute walk. Ginza is a special area of Tokyo that offers so much more besides high-end shopping and restaurants. Use Googlemaps to find anything you need. Be sure to make reservations for popular restaurants. For Yakiniku, I recommend Ushigoro. For Italian/Pizza, I recommend Vomero. If you love bakeries/bread, I recommend Kimura-ya and Centre the Bakery. I don't think these 2 places take reservations but just go 10 minutes before they open and you'll get a seat. Natural Lawson convenience store 5 minute walk away; 7-11 about 7 minute walk away. Staying at this hotel was a very special opportunity for me and my family and we are grateful we had the chance. I can only hope we get to stay here again in the future.

Hyatt Centric Ginza has the perfect location in the city center. It's located in Ginza and is 15-30 minutes from anywhere you'd want to go in the city including Disneyland, Shinjuku, Akihabara. It's walking distance to Tsukiji Market and Tokyo Station. Rooms were bigger than I expected and comfortable. Our only complaint was with the sink. You have to flip up a counter top in the foyer in order to access it. Otherwise, the bathroom and separate room for toilet are nice and then room feels upscale. Decor is able to tow the line between feeling young and edgy, but upscale. Employees were friendly and they were helpful with forwarding luggage to our next destination. It was also nice to be able to get soft drinks and snacks 24/7 in the lobby. At select hours, they also had beer cans in coolers for guests. I can't emphasize enough that the location is the star of the show as we were able to walk to most of our reservations in Ginza, we were able to address all our shopping needs locally, and we were able to access a lot of what we wanted in Tokyo efficiently. While we have had great stays previously in Shinjuku, the location of hotels there can make it daunting to efficiently explore every part of the city in a short time frame. This said - cash rates for the hotel are high ($700-$1000/night) and I'd only stay here using points as a Hyatt member. I think the cost for points was 25,000 points per night (allowing you to get value of 3-4 cents per point). If you are a Hyatt member, it is hard to overlook the value of the Shinjuku hotels and I'd highly recommend those (Hyatt House, Hyatt Regency); however, if convenience and location are important to you, then this is a great choice.

Great location! Easy to get to trains, stores, different activities. Very kid friendly with games and snacks, sophisticated enough for adults! The ONLY complaint I have is the room setup. I hated the "central station" that serves as a desk, vanity, coffee station, table, handwashing station. It made it impossible for one person to get up and ready without waking everybody else. If everybody is on the same schedule, fine, but if people are doing different things it is not a great set up for privacy or quiet.

I stayed here twice while visiting Tokyo and absolutely will return again. Located in a fantastic spot in Ginza, the hotel is a bit modern, a bit retro with old arcade games to play near the upper elevator lobby. The rooms were very bright, spacious, and quite comfortable. The first visit we stayed in a two bed room that was your classic Hyatt Centric feel. The second visit we were upgraded to a king suite which was where they shined. The king suite had a large living room with a nice table and chaise lounge. My friend slept there for the night and said it was very confortable. There was a open closet concept where our luggage could go out of the way. The bathroom was large with a huge tub and a nice shower. The entire room is a shower enclosure. The sinks were outside the room in both configurations but in the king suite there were two sinks and in the twin room one sink. The bed was a bit more comfortable in the king suite and the pocket doors permitted maximum privacy except for the glass panels that were clear. The staff really made the experience worth it. They were very gracious and helpful. Their concierge desk helped us with dining several times and each recommendation was delightful. Everyone was so nice.

3,415 for one drink. Here's how they nickel and dimed it: * Yoichi whisky: ¥2,400 -- fair. * Hidden "mixing charge": ¥300 -- not listed, not disclosed. Subtotal: ¥2,700 Then: * 15% service charge: ¥405 -- printed, but fine. * 10% tax on everything -- including the service fee and hidden charge. Yes, they taxed a fee. Final tax: ¥310 Total: ¥3,415 -- for one drink. This is at a Hyatt charging me over $1,000/night. No explanation. No correction. No shame. This isn't Japanese hospitality. This is tourist gouging dressed up as luxury.

Amazing stay and recommended. Came here for a four night stay. Convenient location in Ginza. Flat taxi rate from HND to the hotel was 5600 yen. Friendly staff. Free snacks and bottled drinks in the lobby daily. Two free water bottles in the room that you can refill on each floor's water station. Room: Not big and not tiny. Clean and new property. The sink is in the center of the room with the island. Not my favorite design but it's fine. Mattresses are on the firmer side. Water pressure and shower were good. Black out curtain worked well. Didn't get upgrade as Globalist as the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast buffet: Amazing western and Japanese choices. Not much changes daily but it's fine. Complementary with Globalist status. 7-10am daily. Lounge (next to breakfast area) on 3rd floor: One complementary drink per person 5-9pm for WOH Discoverist status and above. My husband enjoyed his nightly glass of wine. Not a big property. Gym isn't that big. No pools. But def a decent stay with convenient location and friendly staff. Thumbs up!

I was searching for a Hyatt hotel in Tokyo area and came across this one. I'm into credit cards and getting points so I wanted to use up some of my Hyatt points. We went during peak cherry blossom season so it was 29,000 points per night that retailed for $1,042. Would I have spent $1,042/night to stay here? No ways but for 29,000 points and to be in the heart of ginza, it was a great deal. I booked a 1 king room. The check in area is located on the 4th floor. There is a dedicated check in area for those with status and at that time I had globalist benefits which is the top level of Hyatt. Check in was quick and easy. They said our room needed to go through a final inspection but would be ready in 10 mins. In the lobby area they have drinks and a bunch of Japanese snacks so we relaxed there and within 10 mins our room was ready. The lady also let us know we could have two complimentary drinks at the bar downstairs between 5-9pm, free breakfast for 2 adults and my son and 4pm late checkout because I was a globalist. Breakfast here usually cost 4000/yen a person so that was a great deal. This room was huge compared to Japanese hotels. I usually stay in American brand hotels while in Japan because they are usually a lot larger. The room was very clean and modern. We were able to walk 10-15 mins to Tsukiji outer market, 5-10 mins to the major shopping area in ginza and Louis Vuitton was right across the street from us so I picked up a bag and wallet right before we left the next day. The breakfast buffet the next day was amazing! They had tons of different fruit (all super sweet), juices, meats, a staff member making fresh omelette and heating up salmon as you ordered, tons of hot dishes, make your own poke bowl or chazuke and so much more. I'd highly recommend trying it one day even if you had to pay! This hotel is already five stars but the service was just incredible. Before checking out my son was napping so we didn't want to make noise and try to pack everything so I called the front desk to let them know we were trying to pack up everything and make it out by 4pm but they said no worries and that we could extend to 4:30pm. Also, when you come into the hotel on the first floor, there is a staff member downstairs that says welcome back every time we came back to the hotel. I also told them we were celebrating my husbands birthday this trip so they left a note and a box of cookies in our room for us. I'll definitely be back again next time I'm in Tokyo!

We had a great stay at the Hyatt Centric Ginza. It is a trendy boutique style hotel in a great location. You have to go to one elevator to get to the first floor which takes you to an open lobby area. Rooms were a large size with a large bathtub/shower area. The only thing a little funny was the sink as there was some redundancy in the design of having a mirror that blocked another mirror behind it. Our son absolutely loved the lobby amenities such as old school arcade games, origami. We enjoyed the snack station and drinks as well. The memorable part of our stay was when we got the hotel breakfast downstairs at Namiki. It was the best hotel breakfast we had in Japan. They have a station for you to make croffles as well as grilled salmon, made to order egg station and more. The service was good too as one time I went to get hot water for my ramen and the staff helped me get an elevator since my hands were full. They also helped us call a cab and walked out on the street to make sure we got in safely.

Great location. Clean, quiet and spacious rooms. Buffet spread for breakfast is delicious and has a good variety. Recommended!

Beautiful hotel that is a quiet reprieve from a very busy and bustling Ginza area. Situated in the heart of Ginza, it's a very short walk away from the train station, and convenient to visit the night life areas and shopping malls nearby! The rooms are very clean and tidy, and it has a pretty luxurious and upscale vibe to it. The rooms are reasonably sized, but a bit oddly shaped, with an open sink and a large entry way (which was handy to place our luggage!). The lobby is on the fourth floor though, so you have to first take an elevator up to the lobby, before transferring to another elevator to be able to get to your rooms, which was a minor inconvenience, but no big deal

The amount of amenities available are vast and really allows you to focus on your trip instead of looking for any necessities you may need. They even have umbrellas to borrow and snacks available at all times to bring to your room! The staff are knowledgeable about the area for food recs and itnis very close to a number of public transit metro and busses. So much shopping can be done in the area as well and endless food options. I could spend countless days just here and have souch to do and the energy to do it because of how comfortable my stay at Hyatt was. I would definitely come again!

11/1-11/3 My first stay at a Hyatt Centric branded hotel, in Hyatt's premium offerings of accommodations. Location: why Ginza of course! Ginza is Tokyo's famed luxury shopping district, akin to New York's Avenue and Paris's Champs-Elysees. This property sits across the street from names such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Van Cleef & Arpels, etc and is in the same building that houses a Rolex boutique. The Tokyo Metro Ginza line is also just minutes away by foot and can get you to Haneda International Airport in under an hour. How to Book: well, consider Tokyo hotel rates have been sky rocketing due to the strength in Tourism and the weakening yen (as of November 2023); everyone is clamoring to Japan's capital! I was lucky to have scored two complimentary nights. The Arrival: the hotel itself is quite unassuming. There is the brand placard above the main entry, but that's about it. Hyatt Centric's are unique in its own way with each property show casing art and local flare. At the entry door is a beautiful painting resembling a rainbow of lines. A Bellman happily greeted me and escorted me to the elevator to reach the lobby floor. There was not multiple check in counters but in place of such is a large block where agents are at a corner ready to assist. I was quite early and had anticipated that my room would not be ready until the posted checkin time. However, I was given a room that was available, and I was happily surprised. The agent handed me the room keys and explained the amenities, such as complimentary juice, tea, soft drinks, and snacks in the lobby for World of Hyatt members. As I entered the elevator to the guest floors, the agent bowed and remained so until the doors closed. The Room: lucky number 7! I was placed on the seventh floor. The room had wooden fixtures accented with a bold orange wall. Japanese motifs can be seen nearest the window complete with blackout blinds. The bathroom area is open concept with the main room itself but that can be closed off by a half wall. A singing Toto bidet can be found in the water closet. The single vanity has a large mirror and can be closed off to create an extra surface. A Nespresso coffee maker, under mount fridge, and refillable water bottles can be found opposite the vanity. Adjacent to the water closet is a large shower room with separate soaking tub. I was in awe to find a tub where I can soak to my delight especially after a day of walking. My Stay: I absolutely loved the room that I was given. I heard not a peep from the neighboring rooms nor from the outside. I made sure to utilize the tub while staying here. And the best part of the stay was how luxe the hotel felt, somewhat exclusive being in a fantastic part of Tokyo. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful and modern hotel in the Ginza district. The room includes a huge walk-in shower and bath! The water pressure is excellent. It's almost like taking a shower at a spa. The location is extremely convenient. With all the good restaurants in Ginza, they are all within walking distance of the hotel. In fact, I don't think we spent more than 5 minutes walking to any restaurant from the hotel. Despite its central location, the hotel is very quiet. We barely heard any noise from the street (or from adjacent rooms). The staff speaks English pretty well. My only complaint-but-not-really-a-complaint is the high-tech toilet in the room. The toilet seat is constantly heated, and we had no idea how to turn it off. It would also flush before I was done and we had no idea how to turn that auto feature off!

The hotel is very nice , but the room is very small on the 9th floor for such a ver expensive room a night . They did not accommodate us on our last day after staying for five nights, we had to check out at noon and our flight is 9 pm , our taxi pick up was 4 pm . If we do late check out we have to pay half a day which they charge 188,000 yen a night . We did not really need any customer service during our stay . But the person at the desk is really not very friendly , lack of customer service or niceness . Very flat attitude . The entire staff are polite but lack of friendliness . The restaurant has good food also expensive . - they need to give consideration to people for late check out not charging soooo much specially when we flew all the way from USA just to be in Tokyo . Otherwise - Tokyo is great !

Super cool and chic hotel was part of our stay when out in Tokyo. This was as listed - in Ginza which is a business and affluent shopping district in Tokyo. Lots of high end shopping in the area with the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Versace next to the hotel...However, enough about the area, what about the hotel? Check in on the 3rd floor and staff wonderful and friendly throughout. Checked in rather quickly on arrival and went up to the room which was rather nice and big for a Tokyo hotel ( at least for the ones I've stayed at before)....efficiently designed with modern accents and floor to ceiling window...cable TV had some international stations and they had a Bluetooth speaker in room which was nice...bathroom and shower were excellent and overall would most definitely stay here again when I come back to Tokyo....

A considerably newer, upscale and semi-boutique Hyatt located in Ginza's sprawling fashion district. This hotel sits right on top of storefronts for Rolex and Louis Vuitton, among other high-end tenants nearby. While subway access isn't as convenient as the Hyatt Regency in Shinjuku, this one is close, with a subway entrance a block and a half away under the Hermes storefront. Inside the first floor is an empty room with a bank of elevators and a front desk (which may or may not be staffed depending on the time of day), and the lobby is located on the fourth floor. There's also a bar on the third floor, connected to the fourth floor via some stairs. Unlike your typical hotel lobby, this feels more like a boutique retail shop: the whole floor has seating areas surrounded by modern art pieces and check in desks are replaced by Apple-style floating tables. Besides that, the check in process is mostly the same. Behind these tables are the gym but I didn't have time to check them out (walking around Tokyo is enough exercise!). Bad things first: I got the fifth floor and this hotel is in a standard building, not a high rise. My view was of another building and you likely won't get really nice views except for the very top floor. Good news: the rest of the room. This room is huge by Tokyo standards with an open closet and luggage rack in the front, a bed in the middle, a chaise by the window, and a circular glass table closer to the front. The design is minimalistic and modern with some neat Japanese-inspired artwork flanking the giant window. Since it's relatively new, everything here uses buttons: the blinds, the lights, and best of all - the toilet. Going with the modern open concept theme, there's no typical bathroom division like in a normal room. To maximize space, they folded together the typical hotel mini-bar and a faucet into one table, each on opposite ends. There's a semi-hidden slider on the wall between the bed and the faucet for privacy, but otherwise, the rest of the "bathroom" flows into the rest of the room. Anything else you typically expect to sit next to the faucet is on a glass shelf behind you. Neat. The mini-bar section has a Nespresso machine with two water bottles next to it and a nice fridge underneath with four additional water bottles inside. That's SIX bottles of water inside a hotel room and housekeeping kept on adding more every time they cleaned it. This is likely the first time in a hotel I can say there was too much bottled water. For everything else you'd expect to do in private, there's still a separate door for the toilet and the shower/tub combo. Speaking of which, if you plan on showering, you don't actually do it in the tub. There's a giant open floor next to the tub, and that's where you shower. People who don't enjoy getting water everywhere, you won't be a fan of this setup but at least you'd never have to clean it. Best part, though, is of course the toilet area. I'd never expect to attach the word cute to a trash can but they did it here. It's a tiny baby super-mini stainless steel trash can with a swiveling lid. And there's an ultra-fancy bidet too, of course. I initially booked this under the old award chart for 20k Hyatt points, but now it's been raised to 25k. Still a great deal if you've got the points to spare since the cash price will likely be high in this area. As an added bonus, Kagari is like a block away from this hotel in an unassuming alley. This hotel definitely sparks joy.

This Hyatt is in an excellent location in Ginza. There's lots of great shopping and food spots within a short walking distance. It is conveniently located next to major stations. The staff were great, very friendly, and spoke English. There's a Yen conversion machine on the inside in the main lobby. The room itself was great. The cost is on the pricier end for sure, but worth the splurge!

My husband, our little one, and I stayed at Hyatt Centric Ginza for 2 nights, and we enjoyed every moment there. The new-ish hotel is located in the Ginza district, which is the equivalent of Beverly Hills in Tokyo. Once you enter the hotel, you need to take the elevator up to the 2nd level to check in at the lobby (apparently, this is not unusual in Japan). The hotel is modern and stylish, but without trying to hard to please the millennials. Even though we checked in quite late, there was plenty of staff at their check-in area to assist us (it's a non-traditional floating desk style). We also requested a crib in our reservation, which was all set up without a problem. Our room was so spacious, especially by Tokyo standards, and equipped with a huge tub, great Toto toilet (must-have in a Japanese hotel!), and Nespresso machine. Oh, the bed was super comfortable, and the black out (automated) curtains were a godsend (particularly during nap time). I cannot forget to mention their breakfast buffet. We don't usually do buffets, but I am so glad that we made an exception. It's a bit pricey and not a crazy selection of items, but everything we tried was done perfectly, especially the Japanese breakfast items. My little one devoured their impeccably made-to-order cheese omelette and mini croissants. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Also, as expected, the wifi is free and super fast. The location is a little quieter at night, after all the stores close, which we appreciate. But if you're looking to stay somewhere with a bustling nightlife, this is not the hotel for you. Overall, the hotel was perfect for us and the staff could not have been better. Without hesitation, we would absolutely stay at Hyatt Centric Ginza again.

Preface: This is my second time in Tokyo so I didn't need to be near Shibuya and Shinjuku area. I was looking for a Hyatt to stay at with my points and the other Hyatt locations were booked with points. Ginza is pretty bougie so I was a little skeptical but this ended up being an amazing hotel. The hotel rooms are great. They come with slippers, robe, bathtub and a nespresso. The blackout curtains are legit - almost too legit. The service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Centric Ginza! If it's your first time in Tokyo and you want to explore the more popular areas, I'd recommend a hotel in Shibuya and/or Shinjuku. This location is near subway stations - 3 different ones - but remember if you're staying out late - last trains are around midnight. Hotel : 5/5 Location: 4/5

We were looking for a place to stay in Tokyo in May for a few days. We usually stay at a Hyatt property while traveling, so naturally, this one was on our list for consideration. We did some research and were slightly hesitant as this place got some mixed reviews, especially when it first open in Feb. At the end, I told hubby to give it a try, as we have never stayed overnight at Ginza area and this is a new property, definitely worth checking out. I'm so glad we did!! Everything was amazing, from service, to the room, even to the breakfast buffet (I'm a sucker for breakfast buffet in hotels in Asia, but this one was definitely one of my favs over the years. Staff was very friendly, and the room was of bigger than expected considering the location, and most importantly, it's new and with contemporary decorations!!! Did I mention it also has Nespresso machine? I think after a slightly rocky opening at first, they finally got every figured out, and it is definitely of Hyatt standard, and as someone who usually prefer Andaz, the boutique style hotel, I enjoyed our stay at Centric Ginza very much. Will definitely be considering staying here again in the future when back in Tokyo.

This is probably one of the most trendy HYATT Centrics I have stayed in, and let's talk about the neighborhood. You are upstairs Louis Vuitton and walking distance to all the best shopping and snacks! Gave this hotel only 3 stars bc on arrival after a speedy check in we carried all our own bags up to our room from the lobby and throughout our stay witnessed guests having their luggage carried to their rooms from the bottom level, not sure on why this was so. Their breakfast buffet is worth every penny, the selection was excellent and complete with warabi mochi, egg station, pastries galore, however we witnessed a guest being served multiple items while it was a buffet and very apparent to all of us that only that table was being catered to, interesting! The service could definitely be better, disappointing for someone who stays in many HYATT's, however the hotel itself and the location is phenomenal!!!

We stayed in July 2018 for 6 nights. It a new hotel and its first Centric hotel in Japan. This hotel was so clean, sophisticated and stylish. Since I am a Hyatt member, they put us on the higher floor. The room itself was not large compared to Grand Hyatt or Andaz Tokyo, but it was well designed to make guests feel comfortable with the limited space. I like the Japanese style bathroom (washing are and tub are in one room). The hotel staff was very friendly but polite and attentive. The location is good. In the middle of Ginza. Only one negative point is, unlike other major hotels in Tokyo, airport buses don't stop at this hotel. But the bell staff work hard to catch a taxi for you to get to the nearest bus terminal.

This hotel was a great choice for my first trip to Tokyo. Location was great very convenient to subway restaurants and convenient stores. The Ginza area it self is basically a luxury shopping mall that goes on for blocks and blocks. The hotel it self does not disappoint. 1. The staff are well trained like most in Tokyo. They are quick, helpful and extraordinarily polite when you come in go from the property. The property is new but still seems like they continue to keep it well maintained and clean. Same with the room, everything worked and was very clean. They provide everything you really need. Hair brush toothpaste make up remover and so on. It's all already in the room. Loved all the small touches of the room light and black out shade controls on the wall next to the bed. Great shower and tube for soaking after a long day exploring Tokyo. And a floating privacy wall to separate the space from the bedroom. I could go on about all the small details of the room. You'll see what I mean when you visit. But I'll end with this. I had planned to stay at the hotel from the Sofia Coppola movie Lost in translation which is also a Hyatt "Park Hyatt" but after visiting the area it was located I was so happy I picked Hyatt centric hotel. The area just seems to provide more options with in walking distance. I didn't really want to spend more than a day in Shinjuku and Shibuya. If you did want more of Shinjuku and Shibuya it's only a ten min train ride away.
