Excellent Location And Friendly Staff Reviewed Apr 24, 2024 We spent three nights at the Hyatt Place in the Fort Worth Stockyards. A very nice stay with a great staff. This trip, we brought our dogs for a very fair pet fee. The area has plenty of grass and pet-friendly areas for dog walking. The Fort Worth Stockyards is a fun for all ages...people and dogs. We enjoyed the hotel...breakfast was pretty good, not the best but the price made it palatable. When staying in the Stockyards, especially on Hyatt Points...this is the place. Date of stay: April 2024 Traveled as a couple

Google
Great location, big clean room. Pleasant surprise on check in, breakfast is included, after reading reviews /information (very mixed) we assumed breakfast was available but had to be paid for. Coffee machine in room, no free hot drinks available in lobby except at breakfast time. Nice looking Bar area in lobby area.

Google
Great location right in the heart of all the fun. Our room was spacious but slightly strange as the sink was in the bedroom. But don't let that put you off . Only issue was the lifts were so slow luckily we were on the first floor so used the stairs. The breakfast was great.

Google
Best place to stay in the Fort Worth stockyards. Location is perfect, park once and never have to drive anywhere until you leave. Best breakfast, fun pool, and very comfortable rooms. Also the other guest that stay here are usually very nice people too!!!

Stayed for one night. The hotel is located in the middle of the stockyards and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. |The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and clean. Our room was quiet. |The breakfast was included. Breakfast was so-so. |I would stay here again

Google
Great place to stay to with access to the stockyards and surrounding areas. Staff were the best we dealt with in our time in the US. The lady and young man behind on his 3rd day behind reception could not have been more helpful and accommodating with everything we asked for. Southern hospitality we keep hearing abut here in Oz definitely a highlight with all of the staff happy, helpful and very friendly.

Google
Good for a 3 star. Clean, nice staff, decent pool, convenient parking. Great view of the stockyard from our room, we could watch the cattle drive from there. Our only criticism is breakfast; it finishes too early at 9am, the choice is limited and there is not enough seating.

Went to visit as a potential hotel for family reunion. I was pleasantly surprised by the location and more importantly, Olivia, the front desk attendant. She was very kind, personable and professional. No friction whatsoever. Again, pleasantly surprised. Olivia thank you for being so kind and informative. We are looking forward to making a recommendation for this hotel to host our family reunion.

Yelp
The hotel was booked for us for a series of meetings. I had never been to the Stockyards but was so impressed with the cuteness of this place. Check in was easy, we were given a room on the 4th floor. We have stayed at Hyatt Place before in different cities so this was expected. The room had two queen beds, a nice L shaped couch, refrigerator and desk. The dressing area and restroom were decent. The water pressure left a lot to be desired in the shower. Our neighbors on the floor above us made a lot of noise late at night, like dragging and fighting or something. Had to call the front desk to report it. The clerk said she was there alone but would call and send security if it got worse. I guess she reached them because the noise stopped. Breakfast was free. I didn't eat breakfast but it was very nice and lots of options. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and very pretty little area. Parking was plentiful in the back, but your keycard was needed to get in. They had a nice pool and laundry area. Their market was nicely stocked, wish I had tried the giant cookies.

Yelp
"A Comfortable Stay with a Touch of Texas Charm" My recent stay at a hotel in the Fort Worth Stockyards district was a delightful experience, highlighted by its cleanliness, spaciousness, and authentic Texas charm. From the moment I entered, the cleanliness of the hotel was immediately noticeable, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. The room exceeded my expectations in terms of space and amenities. Featuring a king-sized bed and a separate living room area with a cozy sectional, desk, and mini-fridge, it offered more than enough room to relax and feel at home. The authentic cowboy Texas decor throughout the hotel added a unique and enjoyable touch to the stay, perfectly fitting the surroundings of the Fort Worth Stockyards district. Its location was incredibly convenient, allowing me to easily explore the area on foot. The proximity to the famous cattle drive, numerous tours, shopping options, and a variety of dining experiences enhanced my visit, making everything I wanted to see and do just a short walk away. For those mixing work with travel, the hotel's business center, equipped with a printer, was a valuable asset. It provided everything needed for those last-minute business needs in a comfortable and accessible setting. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The room's thermostat, being motion-activated and located in the living area, posed a slight inconvenience. At night, the lack of movement meant the AC would turn off, leading to some uncomfortably warm awakenings. Additionally, the proximity to the rail tracks meant that train activity during the night was noticeable. This could be a point of consideration for light sleepers or those who prefer a quieter environment. In summary, this hotel offers a wonderful blend of comfort, space, and local Texas flavor, making it a great choice for anyone visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards. While the thermostat and train noise were minor inconveniences, the overall experience was very positive and memorable.

Yelp
Excellent location! Located just minutes from shopping, restaurants, bars and entertainment. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable, staff was friendly,

Yelp
I had a great time staying here for a few nights. It's right in the middle of the stockyards so location is great. Parking is free and the beds were comfortable. Definitely would recommend checking out this hotel if you're looking for a spot in the Stockyards.

James S.

Yelp
This location definitely has its pros and cons. I've detailed them below. Overall, a subpar Hyatt Place but only if you need to be in the Stockyards; other Hyatts in Ft. Worth are better. Pros: - Location. In the Stockyards, the location can't be beat as it's right in the middle Cons: - Noisy. You can hear the train late into the night and early morning. Also, thin walls, doors slamming, kids running and dogs barking can all be heard while in room. - Difficult check-in. 20 minutes to figure out my reservation that was booked directly with Hyatt; which has never been an issue before at other locations. - Showing Age. Peeling wallpaper, popcorn ceilings, older looking bathroom, etc. - Pay to park. $15 In the future, I doubt I'll stay here in the future considering the cons and the prices. If you have to be in the Stockyards it's an option but I'd say spend a little more and stay at nicer spot nearby.

Yelp
What a great hotel..A++ location, steps away from everything! Cold room, nice mattress, lite breakfast offers..you're paying for location, hotel us always full..will need renovations next year or so..parking is $15 night

Yelp
Perfect location to stay when visiting the Stockyards and downtown Fort Worth. We had looked at a few others in the area but I am SO glad we chose Hyatt. Parking lot is secure. Hotel is extremely clean and safe and the location is amazing! The longhorns literally walk right in front of the hotel. All the shops are located right next door. We are downtown Fort Worth one of the nights and it was a 12 minute drive. The price was extremely reasonable and the staff is amazing. I believe it was "David" that checked us in and he could not have been more helpful. Trust me- stay here.

David R.

Yelp
This is a great location, walking distance to Fort Worth Stockyards and Billy Bob's. As always, the free breakfast for Hyatt rewards members is excellent! Cage-free eggs, natural bacon, and fresh-squeezed juice. Ya-um! I am also a Hilton Honors member. In my opinion, Hyatt is a much better value, and the Hyatt rewards result in more free nights.

Scott W.

Yelp
This hotel sucks on so many levels. I stay at Hyatt's all the time and unfortunately this is the worst. Seriously considering doing a chargeback

Beth L.

Yelp
So i went down to celebrate the 4th of July with Eric and stayed here. The hotel is beautiful. So nice and so close to everything. The shower is glorious. Unfortunately we never received housekeeping the entire week we were there which sucked but we just had to throw out our own garbage and we left the towels in the hall way. The towels are absolutely awful we went out and bought our own. I understand its a pandemic and they are short staffed but we saw the cleaning ladies around but they never once came to our room. We called a few times but nada. Oh well. THe staff was so incredibly nice and went out of their way for us all the time. Top notch for real. I will def stay there again. I loved it. Maybe we will get housekeeping next time lol

Mackenzie S.

Yelp
Clean and great location! I was passing through on a roadtrip and found this great hotel in the heart of the historic district. My hotel room was spotless! The price was better than others in the area and this to me was by far the cutest and cleanest one. Staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay so much that I may stay again on my way back from my roadtrip!

Dixie B.

Yelp
I visited with my sister, while she was in San Antonio from South Carolina. The hotel staff were gracious all the way through, from greeting us at the door, to sending us on our way with a kind word. We were provided with bottled water, and there was a small refrigerator in the room. Their rooms are all considered to be suites, but I'd consider our room to be more of a "suitelet." There is a short wall (maybe 2-3 ft deep) separating the bed/s from a sofa. One television set is mounted between the sofa and bed, with the capability of turning it more to one direction or the other. They treat food sensitivities well here - almond milk is featured on the milk bar for those with lactose intolerance. And, they did have gluten-free cereal on the bar. However, I did yearn for some gluten-free toast, or a gluten-free bun. It was great to be able to grab a quick breakfast - eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, toast, waffles, juices, coffee, tea and bagels/cream cheese are present - and be on the road back to San Antonio. The location at the Stockyards is super convenient, allowing you to walk pretty much anywhere you'd want to go in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Patti B.

Yelp
We had a great time at this hotel. Grant it as we were traveling here we got word that the bars in the Stockyard were going to be shut down at noon, not being discouraged we kept our reservation and we were not disappointed. Mariah and Kayla made our stay top notch. We had an amazing time, the hotel was nice and we enjoyed the pool. We will definitely return.

Michael K.

Yelp
Wish my wife and I were not passing through just for the night and that we could have stayed longer. The Hyatt is smack dab in the middle of all the Stockyards action and an easy short walk to whatever you want to see there. We arrived just at sunset on a quiet Thursday weeknight and snagged one of a handful of parking spots right out front. I am told they have a much larger parking area out back. Check-in was quick and easy. The front desk staff were super friendly and helped us with directions to our nearby dinner place. They also filled us in on all the activities including the twice daily cattle drive that we would unfortunately miss. It had been a while since I had stayed at a Hyatt Place. I found the room very comfortable and enjoyed the little living room area. You can tell these rooms went through a lengthy design process as everything seems to be in the perfect spot with opening doors clearing furniture by like an inch. The room was fairly quiet but there are freight trains coming through there all night long. They do supply ear plugs in the room but we didn't need them. On our way out we grabbed a few things at the included breakfast buffet. They even had some hot items there as well. Nicely done.

Kathy H.

Yelp
We were very unhappy with our stay. There was no information in our room that gave us information about the hotel or anything around us. When we inquired at the front desk we were told "it's on the TV, I think channel 1" why did we even have to ask. Anytime we had a question we seemed to be bothering them. The breakfast was beyond awful, you should be embarrassed about what you serve people that are paying that much for a room. The pool was filthy. The selection of drinks were extremely limited...Pepsi products only? Ummm this is Texas !!! The website states around the clock food. That's a joke. I'm sure someone wants hummus or a salad when they get in late from your tourist town ! There isn't even a microwave down stairs to warm anything up. This room was very expensive for what we got. Would have been better off staying at the motel 6 .

Marty L.

Yelp
Having not been to the stockyards for 35 years, I was very unsure of where to stay so we would be able to walk to most places. I picked the Hyatt because it was just off the beaten path. I was not disappointed with anything. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a lot of different choices. The look and feel of the place was nicely done with tasteful western sculptures and paintings everywhere. The lobby had a nice gas fireplace with a warm sitting area. The staff were very professional and helpful. Everything was nearby so it we saved money on a rental car. Billy Bobs, Rodeo, lots of shopping and restaurants. We were ready to go after 4 days as we had done and seen everything. Probably won't ever be back as we have other destinations left on our list. The Amon Carter museum, a short Uber away, is a must see.

Melisa B.

Yelp
Excellent stay. I requested early check in and was pleased when I arrived my room was ready! Made for a great day. Breakfast was good, there was a tour bus, so space was limited. Within walking distance of everything stockyards. Friendly staff.

Sandi P.

Yelp
You will love this place; so many things to do around the hotel itself and basic modern amenities within the hotel rooms. I give this place an A+, so much to do and see. 1. The website was easy to navigate. 2. The website offered discounts to its guests. 3. and they have a points system. Welcome to Fort Worth, Texas.

Jessica J.

Yelp
Rooms are just okay. With family of four we fit into two queens & a sofa bed. But bathroom is very small and hard to change is such a small tiny place. Staff is below average. The flyer in our bedroom said breakfast Mon.-Fri. available till 9:30 (this was on their letterhead and laminated & in our room). We went down a bit after 9am... everything was gone! Even the coffee! They changed the end time to 9am but not the guest communication! All the hapless front desk person would do us say sorry and offer to have us pay for coffee at their "coffee bar".

Sabine F.

Yelp
I love staying here. This hotel is located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stickyards and the famous Billy Bobs dancehall. There are lots of great steakhouse and shopping in walking distance. The cowtown winery is also nearby. I stayed here many times but never bragged about the complimentary breakfast. They had so many healthy choices and such a different variety of foods. I loved the barbacoa and three types of potatoes hash and all the toppings for the oatmeal. The coffee and juices tasted great as well. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are very clean. The only thing negroiden and this has nothing g to do with the hotel us that there is a lot of construction happening around the hotel but it didn't effect my stay. I did not hear the noises nor did it effect larking. The sidewalk that is connected next to the hotel leading to Main Street is closed, so be careful that you don't accidentally step on the street.

Scott B.

Yelp
Probably the nicest "mid-level" chain hotel I've ever stayed in. Super clean, very modernly styled and furnished rooms. Superb customer service and attention from the staff. Fun location. Tip: there is basically no parking around the hotel (ample free parking in back with a room card), so first park at the front, checkin and grab a room key, then you can grab a parking spot in their gated lot instead of driving around for 10 mins trying to find a spot like I did. If you've never walked around the Stockyards, this is a great choice. Plus you are only a 10 minute drive to downtown FW or West 7th Area.

Barry B.

Yelp
Horrible stay at this hotel, we will never return. We had 5 rooms and rented the conference room for 1 1/2days. The second day the conference room was double booked. The front desk couldn't reach a manager and the sales manager whom we dealt with previously, didn't even attempt to rectify the issue. She didn't even return our emails.

Bob D.

Yelp
Disappointing Very disappointed. First, after we checked in they gave us a ticket to put in the car to show we were a hotel guest. Certainly understand that but the parking lot is fairly large and they appears busy. We parked in the back corner. So we had a long walk to the front desk, back to the car and back to the desk. When we took a shower we realized that we didn't have any bath towels only hand towels and wash cloths. While in the bathroom we noticed the floor wasn't even clean. At checkout we were informed that while we didn't valet park, we were being charged $30.00 for valet parking. They couldn't print us a receipt because their printer was broken. Very nice hotel, but service and housekeeping are a disappointment. Don't recommend.

Cole S.

Yelp
Need a place to crash while exploring the Stockyards? This is your spot! Location: You have everything stockyard related within walking distance. Steps out of the door of the hotel you will be able to see the longhorn cattle being herd in the morning and afternoon which is an awesome experience. In addition, you have tons of restaurants and nightlife surrounding the hotel. There are TONS of renovations coming to the Stockyards so the location will only get better with time as more developments come to the area. You are also only 10-15 minutes away from Downtown Fort Worth. Room: Your standard hotel room. My room had a walk in area with a couch and desk which was convenient and a nice surprise. The room is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I noticed what seemed to be poorly cleaned up vomit on the ottoman, carpet, and couch. The more I looked the more apparent it was. When first walking it, I didn't notice it because I didn't have the lights on. I did get a call when I got to my room asking if my room was okay (before I noticed the issue) which I assume was them realizing it wasn't fully cleaned before they put me in the room? I was staying at the hotel solely for business and it was too much of a hassle to move everything between rooms so I never brought it up and called it a night. Service: Service was great, always friendly greetings when entering and leaving the hotel, more than accommodating. My boss who was also staying at the hotel had issues with his card not working to get into his room but it turned out to be a battery issue in the door which needed to be replaced. While the battery was being fixed we were invited down to the bar for complimentary drinks while we waited. Never have I ever turned down a free drink.

Roy F.

Yelp
My First stay here. First I couldn't get a better rate due to all the sites not being able to confirm with hotel, but I paid full price + parking + Incidentals. Nice being close to stock yards and restaurants but being more of a vacation spot it was horrible hearing lawn mowers from 7am to 8am from the 4th floor like they were floating outside my window for an hour. Oh and the free breakfast, convenience store Jimmy Dean and coffee. They said it was due to Covid restrictions. I will go back across the street next month

T D.

Yelp
Hotel staff were extremely nice. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms are in dire need of renovations. No USB charging stations or plugs on the nightstands and desk that makes the use of technology easy. As you can see from pictures the showers are a little gross. Bed was comfortable. Location is ideal. A/C worked great. We loved Austin and will return. Probably pick a different hotel if this one has not been renovated by the time we return.

Julie S.

Yelp
They kicked out a family with 5 kids, and a new born baby. During this bad weather. The mom wanted to extend their stay & the front lady said their systems were down & she would extend their stay. Took her information, card & phone # and ended up booking that room to someone else and kicked them out. There's really nothing the family could do but do not BOOK HERE.

Rick B.

Yelp
What a fantastic place, excellent service and great food I was assisted by staff Marina with a simple problem and she totally handled it. Highly recommend the Hyatt

Cindy L.

Yelp
We took our grandson to the stockyards for a few days and stayed at this Hyatt. It is clean, comfortable and convenient to all things stockyard. Our room was big and lovely. There was a nice area for the grandson to play. We enjoyed the pool every day. The free breakfast is one of the nicest, healthiest breakfasts I've seen. The manager was just wonderful. All staff were courteous and helpful all the time. We were offered a free shuttle back to the train station when we left. Awesome. We can not say enough nice things about this hotel stay. Even more importantly, we have absolutely no complaints. We highly recommend. it.

Christie I.

Yelp
We didn't stay here during our trip but needed an item & went in to see if they carried it in their lobby store & they did. The employee, Jessica, was so friendly & helpful & the location is great so we will definitely plan our next trip at this hotel.

A R.

Yelp
Omg!! This place!! Great value for the location. Front desk service ROCKED. The bar is fun. Room very clean and comfortable. (One minor gripe... turn the blaring music down in the lobby. Especially during breakfast.)

Emily N.

Yelp
Terrible management! Kicking people out in the snow who have newborn baby's. Need new staff ASAP

Scott D.

Yelp
Very quiet, and clean. It's in the heart of stock yards. We needed a ride to M&M steak house and the front desk called a service that was a black SUV. He came later to pick us up. $15 EACH WAY seemed a little expensive for only 1.5 miles. But it was s classy ride. Breakfast was awesome.

Dom D.

Yelp
I enjoyed my weeks stay, no issues, very clean, roomy, and all amenities were sufficient. Clean, bed was fabulous.

Pamela M.

Yelp
We initially were staying at the Stockyard Hotel, but the room did not fit my needs as I require an accessible room. While staying there, I had become sick and required a short hospital stay. My husband, switched our room to the Hyatt. Great accomodations. Mr. Joe Galiado who works at the Hyatt as a maintenance man noticed that I was not well and offered me help and a bottle of water. He helped my husband with our luggage and stayed with me while my husband was getting our car. I very much appreciated his kindness and concern for my well being.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Great service, convenient and quick check-in/check-out process. Room was a King Suite with an extra area with couch, mini-fridge and desk. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast is complimentary if you sign up for their rewards program. Probably the best breakfast I've ever had at a mid-range hotel spot. I was impressed!! Freshly made (real) scrambled eggs, bacon, monkey bread, toasted bread with jam, oatmeal with all kinds of toppings, fresh blueberries, pineapple, bananas. Fresh juice and coffee with options like almond milk as well. We'll be back again!!

Ashtin C.

Yelp
My friend and I recently stayed here for two nights for a exam prep conference for work. Overall, the rooms were convenient and clean. However, unfortunately the staff didn't seem to know much about their job nor did they know how to accommodate their guests. At check in, I asked how to get to the room where the conference would be held and was told that "I would have to investigate myself." Later that night, I read on the hotel information card in my room that they offered phone chargers for rent or to buy in the lobby. When I approached the receptionist to ask about it, she said, "oh, I know it says that but that's false advertisement. Sorry." Shortly after this, I showered and was walking around my room getting ready for bed, when someone knocked on our door and then proceeded to just IMMEDIATELY enter the room. My friend then went towards the door to stop whoever was coming in and found the receptionist was backing out of the room. Her explanation was "It says this room was vacant but I thought someone was in here." The next night, after realizing that every food location nearby closes at 7pm apparently, we found ourselves hungry. We found a menu in the room and decided to call and order room service, which we soon found out doesn't exist though it's advertised that way. (Sensing a pattern, yet?) We were told that we could order but we'd have to come get it. (Fine.) We ordered a cheese burger and the tomato soup and salad. The receptionist called back shortly to let us know that they were out of bacon for the burger and the tomato soup. (Again, fine.) When we finally got our food, the young girl behind the counter let me know that they're also out of lettuce, tomatoes, AND pickles for the burger as well. My friend then asked if the salad had dressing on it and got the response, "no, did you want dressing?" WHAT? I'll let you guess how the food tasted. Oh, and my friend also used the spare blanket in the closet and found a large yellowish-brown stain on it. This place gets the one star for the breakfast and shower pressure alone. Will not be back.

Ron R.

Yelp
Great place to stay especially for stockyards. Large updated comfortable rooms. Nice there is a bar and coffee shop. Breakfast well above average. The bacon is unusually, but very good. Sleep quality is the only knock. AC is very loud.

Paulsegal ..

Yelp
Don't come to Ft Worth and miss the albeit touristy Stockyards, but such fun. This is such a fabulous property. Get a room overlooking the stockyards high floor. This place appears to be brand new in 2015. Very modern and yet with a nice cowboy flavor. FREE WIFI FREE BREAKFAST FREE PARKING ALL SUITES? Clean & modern. And they even sell drinks and food and Starbucks

Cara M.

Yelp
The workers here are phenomenal . Courteous , pleasant , helpful ! They get the 3 stars !! The pool was very dirty . A lot of algae ! Towels near pool area were washed but stained . No safe in our room and our air conditioner leaked water all over the rug. We had to be careful not to step on it in that area or put shoes down. Housekeeping didn't do our room one day. Front desk was very helpful and sent us up towels soap etc . We visit Fort Worth frequently as we have family in that area . Not sure for the price of this room we will return.

Alyson W.

Yelp
Great location. The hotel is a little on the older side but the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is wonderful. They were very helpful and attentive and more than accommodating. Best service in Fort Worth.

Christie A.

Yelp
Great location in Stockyards and walking distance to Billy Bob's. Top notch customer service. I'm not downfall. No regular king room even though we made a reservation a few weeks in advance and checked in at 6pm on a Thurs. They gave us extra Hyatt points and we agreed to stay in a handicap room which really was pretty much like a normal room. We will stay again when we are in area.

Fondeezy B.

Yelp
This hotel is located in the middle of the the stockyards. It is within a couple mins walk of many attractions. The hotel has a view of the stockyards or downtown Dallas Fort Worth. The hotel was fun and the staff is very welcoming. They have complimentary disposal headphones in the gym, which is awesome! Another perk is a large complimentary basket of personal items in case you forgot to pack them. Otherwise they allow you to borrow items such as phone chargers. Breakfast is also complimentary. They have a hot and cold menu. And you can't go wrong with a Starbucks cafe there. Parking is behind the hotel and requires a key card for entry.

Susan H.

Yelp
We stayed here one night before heading to grandparent pick-up/drop-off for some summer visitation. The first thing we noticed and loved about this hotel... they have a saltwater pool. HOW COOL is that! As the others reviews state, they are smack in the middle of stockyards and walking distance to a lot of things. The hotel is decorated to fit the area. I find it funny that someone wrote a review and complained about the leather smell... Paalease dude. You are in the historic stockyards what would you expect. You are staying in Giddy-up country. Hotel was great. Staff was not as yee haw friendly as other Texas Hyatt's but I wasn't expecting perfection. The rooms are great, the beds are comfortable and we LOVED the saltwater pool!

Karen J.

Yelp
I reserved 2 rooms at this place for my girls friends 18th bday. We were unable to check because I am not 21 yet. I asked about a refund and Sharnea, the Assist General Manager authorized a refund for me thru Expedia. We left to go to the concert at the stockyards and I was not able to call back Expedia for a refund until Saturday as I had to work on Friday and we all know how long it takes customer service to respond on Expedia. I tried to cancel the rooms on Saturday through Expedia and Sherae denied it because I didn't cancel it that day. I am a college student and $190 is a lot of money for me. I will never rent at a Hyatt especially this one again. Merry Christmas to me right?

Rob Z.

Yelp
BEWARE!!! The staff at this place was nice and the hotel itself was nice, however the Management does not take the safety of their guests seriously, despite what their website says. My vehicle was broken into while I was in their parking lot. After the incident, I discovered it has been happening both at their location and in the surrounding area. I believe they should tell their guests ahead of time when there is a rash of break-ins at their location. When they are aware of these issues there should also be increased security in the parking lot. I never saw a security guard walk the parking lot. If he had, he would have found my back glass broken out. The Management wouldn't take any responsibility for notifying their guests of the local dangers, and simply pointed out they aren't responsible for the safety of their guests in their gated parking lot.

Yelp
During our 2 week stay in Texas this was the absolute best hotel we stayed at. I would recommend anyone who is going to the Stockyards to stay here. Hubby and I decided to take a very rare (once in 3 years) night alone when we were in TX. You walk outside the front door toward the street and you're in the middle of all the action. Basically you get to see a few cowboys get a bunch of long horns down the historic street. Afterwards there are several people on the side of the road with trained long horns taking money from tourists so they can take a picture with a long horn. There's also plenty of cute little shops nearby with unique Billy Bob's logo on it and interesting places to visit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Billy Bobs!

Yelp
Pretty solid overall experience staying here on a Saturday night during the livestock show and rodeo. The location cannot be beat, however--if you are driving, be aware that it's a challenge to reach the hotel from certain directions, as the crowds in the streets bring traffic to a standstill. Between pedestrians, horses, and cattle, there are a lot of impediments. The free parking is nice, and the parking lot is right behind the hotel. I have to imagine it sometimes fills to capacity, as there was nothing that would have prevented people from entering despite not being guests of the hotel. The room is solid overall. It was spacious, had a comfortable desk area, and the bathroom was updated. The shower was large, nice looking, and had tremendous water pressure. From the living area, there was a lot of noise from doors slamming and people coming and going in the hallway. However, the bed was shielded from the living space by a nice barrier wall, and it worked wonders. I didn't hear a single door all night or into the morning. I ordered a hamburger off the "room service" menu. You do have to go pick up the food yourself from the desk downstairs, but it's reasonably priced and the quality was decent enough. Breakfast is provided free, although I did not personally experience it. I only booked this room due to the extremely reasonable Hyatt awards redemption I found. The listed price with tax and fees was $400. I would not have paid that much, and in the future, if returning to Ft. Worth, I'd only choose to stay here on a redemption.
