We spent 3 nights there recently. It's a new hotel (3 years old), so the interior design is modern and beautiful. Rooms were clean and the shower had grab bars. We were not there for the Space X launch, but they have a nice designated observation deck in the hotel.
The free breakfast buffet was awesome: muffins and other pastries, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bread, cereals, oatmeal every day. Other items rotate on other days (bagels, French toast, bacon, breakfast potatoes). The staff does an admirable job of restocking food, which is no easy feat when the crowd is reminiscent of cruise ship lines at the buffet. They had a fancy toaster, but I recommend a cheaper, "normal" pop up toaster, because it only really heated when the heat was turned up, but people kept turning it down, so bread came out cold.
The pool is open and handicapped accessible with a chair that puts you in the pool--very impressive! The gym is nice to have.
The front desk personnel are helpful and friendly. The bar/cafe downstairs that should not be overlooked. The chicken Caesar salad was HUGE and the chicken bacon sandwich was delicious! Everything is cooked after you order, so the chicken was hot and the veggies were fresh. Go there (dine in or take back to your room) on your check in day (opens at 4:30 pm) and you will not regret it!
No microwave oven in the room (only suites have them), but there is one available downstairs, so not a big deal.
