"Hyatt Regency does a great job of incorporating Ethiopian art in the hotel. They have a monthly bazaar featuring Ethiopian makers."

Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Though it may not yet be a boutique-hotel hotbed, the Ethiopian capital can boast of some pretty stylish lodgings in the form of the Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa. It’s conveniently located both for transport and for government business, but that’s the least of its attractions — more salient for hospitality fans is the fact that its architecture and design are carefully tailored to the Ethiopian context, resulting in a visual experience you won’t find anywhere else. And, just for good measure, you can expect the high-end comforts and professional service that the Hyatt Regency name implies." - Tablet Hotels

Really delightful hotel experience in a good location for cultural sites, shopping and business organisations and in a close enough proximity to the airport. This hotel is professionally run with lovely staff, rooms, amenities, spa treatments and food and drink. I was in Ethiopia for a conference but my daughter joined me for a few days and she loved it too. Check in was welcoming and smooth, as was check out, and we'd happily stay there again and recommend this hotel. The Fendika cultural hub in the basement is an added bonus. Lovely music, drinks and coffee.

I don’t leave reviews often but here I have to. My stay was simply amazing. The first thing I need to mention is how kind and helpful everyone from the hotel staff is. They made me feel like home, I felt very welcomed and taken care of. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, rooms are great. Also pool area and gym were really nice. Breakfast was amazing, huge choice of options and everything was delicious. Also great restaurants in the hotel. Everything was perfect. Thank you for amazing stay.

Dear Hyatt Regency Management, This hotel is very good. My friends and I visit many hotels in the city, but I would like to say that the Hyatt Regency is the most luxurious. The staff at the Cascara Bar are all friendly and professional. but I am always impressed by the excellent service provided by Solomon Fekadu—he is an outstanding host and always greets everyone with a warm smile. His cocktail knowledge is excellent, and the cleanliness is exceptional. He is exceptionally professional. Bravo to the entire team! Best regards, Atemew Mikyas

My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Addis Ababa was wonderful. The location is very convenient to go to near by restauranters and shopping centers. Every staff members I met was very friendly and professional. They go above and beyond to met customer expectations, specially the reception and Club lounge teams. The rooms and the hotel is very clean at all time. I stayed at this hotel multiple times and I can't wait to come back again. I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a awesome and delightful stay.

A top class hotel, but unfortunately something is missed. Design using good materials but the final vibe is just OK. Not “spoiling”. Small topics like towels (bad quality), soaps that are hard to extract from the bottles etc add to this feeling. We were surprised because a few weeks ago at the Hyatt Zanzibar it was the most spoiling and great vibe. We thought same chain of hotels will be similar feel

I have been to Hyatt Regency quite a few times as a restaurant and bar customer most of the times and twice as a room guest. Their services (food, drinks, room and etc) are very nice and up to the standard. However, their custome service is degrading from time to time for multiple reasons. The waiters at the open area by the fountain specially looks well experienced and matured enough to understand standard customer services. But when it comes to reality they are far behind the standard. To be specific: 1. They don't have an active eye on sight when one arrives and takes a seat. It takes them zillion years to notice and come even though there are multiple waiters moving here and there. 2. They always have an attitude talking customers if the face is not familiar (specially familiar enough with tips). 3. This one might be up to the hotel system or interset, but the hustle to get some service from the other section (ex cheeses cake from the counter to the fountain area) is somehow difficult to communicate with the waiters, to get it quickly, amd even to make payment as it has to be done separately. 4. Make sure to ask for a bill 24 hours before you get the service 😂. Gosh.....it takes them forever to see you waving, calling and etc. Moreover, even after you requested for the bill whether by going to the bar or at your seat......it's like they need to calculate the bill with a toddler and get the print outs (invoices) from abroad. Phewww....their look and attitude if you don't tip?.....Thank God you left safe. 5. I was able to identify senior waiters or supervisors who are doing nothing different than the waiters themselves. 6. There are few waiters/staffs to be appreciated as they serve everyone equally and attentively. Specially common waiters at the cake counter and the seats by the road side. 7. One might be surprised why I still go there after all these observations, but I like the vibe, the weather, the view, convenience of the location, the food and drinks, Staffs at the main gate, parking, hotel gate, receptions, kitchen, and others are also to be appreciated.

Although it's a nicely designed hotel, I would not stay there as they cater to politicians and will treat you like a prisoner. It felt like we were being watched and every time we took a picture, a staff member came to tell us to stop as "the politician" do not want it. The rooms are tiny to the point that we couldn't open our luggage. Every time we got dropped off by our driver, it was hard to get into the hotel as they give priority to politicians. It's all hype and it doesn't deliver a good experience. For the price you will pay, you are better off at the Sheraton or the Hilton, where the service is excellent for everyone and not just politicians.

I am recently staying at this five-star hotel for almost 10 days so far, and it was truly a pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean and well-organized, and the services were of the highest quality. The staff were very elegant and very professionals. The food was exceptional, and I am enjoying every moment of my stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
