I have been to Hyatt Regency quite a few times as a restaurant and bar customer most of the times and twice as a room guest. Their services (food, drinks, room and etc) are very nice and up to the standard.
However, their custome service is degrading from time to time for multiple reasons.
The waiters at the open area by the fountain specially looks well experienced and matured enough to understand standard customer services. But when it comes to reality they are far behind the standard.
To be specific:
1. They don't have an active eye on sight when one arrives and takes a seat. It takes them zillion years to notice and come even though there are multiple waiters moving here and there.
2. They always have an attitude talking customers if the face is not familiar (specially familiar enough with tips).
3. This one might be up to the hotel system or interset, but the hustle to get some service from the other section (ex cheeses cake from the counter to the fountain area) is somehow difficult to communicate with the waiters, to get it quickly, amd even to make payment as it has to be done separately.
4. Make sure to ask for a bill 24 hours before you get the service 😂. Gosh.....it takes them forever to see you waving, calling and etc. Moreover, even after you requested for the bill whether by going to the bar or at your seat......it's like they need to calculate the bill with a toddler and get the print outs (invoices) from abroad. Phewww....their look and attitude if you don't tip?.....Thank God you left safe.
5. I was able to identify senior waiters or supervisors who are doing nothing different than the waiters themselves.
6. There are few waiters/staffs to be appreciated as they serve everyone equally and attentively. Specially common waiters at the cake counter and the seats by the road side.
7. One might be surprised why I still go there after all these observations, but I like the vibe, the weather, the view, convenience of the location, the food and drinks, Staffs at the main gate, parking, hotel gate, receptions, kitchen, and others are also to be appreciated.
