I stayed at the hotel for two nights during a business trip, where good rest and quiet are essential.
At the time of booking, I specifically requested a room away from elevators. Nevertheless, I was assigned room 2314, located literally a few meters from a staff service elevator. This elevator was operating throughout the night and produced a very loud, sharp and unpleasant noise every time it stopped on the floor. As a result, I was unable to sleep properly during the first night.
The next morning, I went to the much-praised breakfast. Unfortunately, it was overcrowded, with very limited seating availability, and no waiter approached me at all. I had to get my tea myself. Overall, the breakfast service was disappointing and does not meet Hyatt standards, 3/5 at best.
I then requested a room change, reminding the reception that I had originally asked for a quiet room. The front desk staff offered another room with visible dissatisfaction. The new room was 2222, which turned out to be a connecting room with room 2223, separated only by a connecting door.
During the second night, the issue of extreme soundproofing problems became evident. I could clearly hear my neighbors talking as if they were in the same room with me, as well as all bathroom noises, including showering. I had an early flight, and once again, proper rest was impossible.
When I raised the issue at reception, the young male receptionists explained that conversations of neighboring guests were outside of their control. While this may be technically true, for a hotel of Hyatt’s category, such poor sound insulation and room allocation are absolutely unacceptable.
Overall, the impression is very clear. Despite choosing a well-known international brand, I did not receive the level of comfort or service expected. Unfortunately, after two sleepless nights, I can confidently say that I will not return to this hotel.
