Hyatt Regency Casablanca (Casablanca, Morocco) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s the 21st century in Morocco, too — the Hyatt Regency Casablanca is contemporary from top to bottom, and why shouldn’t it be? It’s set less than half a mile from the old medina, and surrounded by colonial-era Art Deco buildings, both of which are paid subtle homage in its interiors. Many of the rooms have views of the Hassan II mosque or the Atlantic ocean, and all of them are properly luxurious. The spa is the place to get your fill of traditional Moroccan architecture, and Café M serves upscale French fare, while Dar Beida focuses on local classics." - Tablet Hotels

Lovely, attentive staff. First class service in Casablanca. We enjoyed our stay here, largely due to the helpful staff, and we'll come here again. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Delicious, fresh, and full of variety. Great location for the hotel.

It was our first trip to Casablanca and the big question: where to stay? We went with our tried and true, the Hyatt Hotel and it did not let us down. Impeccable facilities, beautiful room, always spotless, and the most polite and friendly staff we have experienced anywhere. We went with the breakfast included and had the opportunity to have a wonderful traditional dinner in their Dar Beide Restaurant. Excellent food and the dnner with the entertainment is something everyone should enjoy. If going to Casablanca, why not make your stay at the Hyatt Hotel and enjoy their people, their service and the traditional dinner experience at their Dar Beide restaurant? We tried other restaurants, and they cannot hold a candle to theHyatt.|Thanks, Hyatt for a wonderful stay and we look foward to coming back.

I recommend the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Casablanca. It is a very good location easy to get around, close to old city, market, Mosque Hassen II, Marina Mall and more. The staff was very friendly, professional, and more. The Front Desk were great, along with the concierge (Mr. Hamidi was great). The room was nice, and I had a great view of Mosque Hassen II.||Overall, a was a good experience. I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Casablanca. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Stayed here as a globalist and was upgraded to a very nice suite. The room is a bit dated but still very nice with a great view of the mosque. Employees were very nice but I found service to be slightly slow. Breakfast was a disappointment, everything was empty and wasn’t being replaced for the amount of people that were there. Had to wait 10mins in a line to get eggs and there wasn’t much else due to being empty so was the only choice. Held our luggage for a few hours post checkout which was great.

The room and bathroom seem to be from the 90s, old, outdated, not clean. The toilet seat was separate from the rest of the bathroom , which is extremely not practical if you need to wash your hands after using the toilet. The shower and sink door is brown transparent glass so this room is not advisable for other than couples. External Entrance of the hotel is extremely dirty. Smoking cigarettes and cigars is permitted at the reception and waiting lounge indoors which is a shame. Breakfast is mediocre and surprisingly served at the reception waiting area, which felt like an insult. There are other venues but they are being using for conferences and events pushing guests to eat breakfast where was felt a place not equipped for such use. The location is next to the old town which is more of slums with terrible odors and dirty streets not like old bazaars in other places, tangier old bazar is a paradise compared to this. Surprisingly 2 at the concierge recommended we visit this old souq, and until now I have no clue how they can make such a recommendation to tourists. If you want to go to Casablanca choose to stay in the area from the big mosque to the four seasons, totally different city than near the old town. This hotel is a deduction to the Hyatt reputation.

To call this a 5 star hotel is laughable. By US standards it's a 2.5, maybe 3 if I'm being generous. Check-in went relatively smooth but there was no mention of being a Globalist or room upgrade, even though I could see availability online. It's not a big deal though as I was only there to sleep for the most part. The room looked like it hadn't been updated since the 90's (see pictures). It seemed relatively clean though which is the most important. The internet didn't work. This was apparently a known issue because I didn't even have to explain when I went to the front desk. He just immediately took my phone and logged me in to the staff network. In the morning though even this no longer worked. Around 8am some sort of alarm started going off. There were a bunch of announcements made but only in Arabic. I proceeded to go down the stairs along with several other confused people only to be told by a staff member that it was just a test. Before leaving for the airport, I asked the concierge about the cost of a taxi to the Casa Voyageurs train station because I only had a small amount of dirham on me (80 to be exact). He told me that if I took one of the red petit taxis, it would be no more than 30-40 as they were metered and it was a short trip. He offered to order one for me which I accepted. He did tell me that there would be a 15 dirham service fee paid to the driver but that I still had plenty to cover the fare. They took my small bag out for me and waited for the taxi to arrive, and I tipped him 10, so now I had 70. He talked to the driver for a minute in Arabic and then the driver confirmed to me in English that we were going to Casa Voyageurs and off we went. He made some small talk along the way and it was a 10-15 min trip. Upon arrival though he told me the total was 150 with the "service" included. I told him no, I was told 30-40 plus a 15 dirham service fee. He said no, that wasn't correct so I asked him to show me the meter, which he wouldn't. I offered him the 70 and to take it or leave it and he reluctantly agreed, not that he had much choice. If the hotel is going to arrange transportation and call themselves a 5 star hotel, then this goes back on them. They made the call and arranged with the driver, so one or all of them were in cahoots to try to rip me off. Shame on them. Definitely not a place I will ever visit again nor recommend.

Very old. Entire hotel needs to be updated. Carpet seemed very old and hard to tell how clean it was. Bathroom door, which was a sliding door, would slide fully open. No way to close it. Entry way bathroom was very tired, tiny and had no electrical outlet.

Awesome location. Super friendly and courteous staff. Room was big with an amazing view of the mosque and bazaar. Well stocked with amenities. Breakfast was standard and nothing to rave about. The concierge helped in locating a lost watch of a colleague and needs special mention. This was exceptional and the team deserves many kudos. Keep up the good work and no wonder that this property is so sought after.
