"This all-in-one resort has “so many good restaurant choices we never ate off property,” said one reader. Lounge by a waterfall at the lagoon-style pool or relax in the hot tub in the swim-through rock grotto. Active guests will enjoy rock climbing, watersports, tennis and golf, or enjoy some relaxation by booking a treatment at the well-appointed Marilyn Monroe Spa."

This was our second stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress — and it was just as incredible as the first! There’s so much to see and do on the property. The pools are beautiful and well maintained, and we loved all the included resort amenities like paddle boats and kayaks — perfect for both relaxing and exploring. What I absolutely love about this resort is the attention to detail and the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was warm, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. Communication was seamless — I was able to text the hotel number for anything we needed, and every question or request was answered almost instantly. We mentioned we were celebrating a milestone anniversary, and the staff surprised us with a thoughtful welcome gift. To top it off, we had some of the best views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks each night — such a magical way to end our evenings. The location is also incredibly convenient — close to everything, and the complimentary shuttle made it easy to get around. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Orlando!

We had a wonderful stay here! Tim was the most helpful and knowledgeable with the arrival and departure process. We appreciated him! The pools were packed, get there early to get a spot. Pool service was friendly and quick, despite the amount of people there. Rooms are very dated, but clean. We saw two sets of fireworks from our balcony, one at 9pm and one at 9:30pm, which was fun. The least convenient part were the elevators, there is only one set of them so going up and down can take a long time. Overall we loved our stay here!

I stayed at this hotel for one week for business. However, this hotel is not just a business hotel. While it has huge convention spaces, and they were conventions there all the time during my stay, it still has plenty of amenities suitable for families. The pool is huge. I saw the children were having a great time and I could only imagine that my kids would also have had a blast. The rooms are modern. The service is good. The food at the restaurant is good. The grabbing go shop is also excellent. They have shops on property to buy souvenirs or to pick up things that you may have forgotten at home. The gym is good. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and would not hesitate to recommended for anybody coming to Orlando for business or pleasure.

I traveled with my son and two of his friends. They spent most of the time in the pool, going kayaking and exploring the hotel. Very nice hotel grounds and beautiful pool area. I rented a bike and did the bike trail. Wish they enforced people holding chairs better. Food by the pool was great and delivered fast. Highly recommend this hotel!

We've been to Orlando many times over the years but this was the first time we have stayed at the Grand Cypress. Wow! What a gem! The grounds are beautiful. There are 3 pools with waterfalls. One pool does nightly movies while the kids enjoy the waterslide. There are so many activities like kayaking on the lake, bicycles paddleboads, waterbikes, basketball, golf, a climbing wall, and walking trails. They also have a gym and sauna. It is so peaceful. There is a mini market and gift shop along with several restaurants and pool bar. The room have private balconies and you can see the fireworks from Disney. The rooms and the entire hotel is so clean and comfortable. The staff is so friendly and helpful. This is our "go to" hotel anytime we come to Orlando. I can't stop raving about this hotel!

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress because my daughters had a dance competition at the convention center located right inside the hotel. We’re frequent visitors to Orlando, and we usually stay at Disney resorts because we love the convenience of their internal transportation to the parks—that’s always been a big priority for us. This time was different. The Grand Cypress is massive—definitely one of the largest hotels I’ve stayed in recently. You can tell it’s been around for a while, but it’s well maintained and full of amenities: golf, basketball courts, a lake with kayaking, and multiple huge pools. The scale of the property was impressive, but I’ll admit it took some adjusting, especially since I’m used to the compact convenience of Disney resorts. There was a lot of walking, which at times felt a bit tiring. Still, I appreciated the grandeur and open space. When we got to our room, it smelled fresh and was very clean, which made a great first impression. The room service was available until late—which we loved—and the food was actually very good. Check-in was smooth, the staff was friendly, and the valet service was excellent. One downside was the parking. Self-parking is quite far from the main entrance, and with such a big property, that walk can be inconvenient. The difference between self and valet was only about $20, and honestly, valet was worth it in this case. Overall, while it’s not the Disney atmosphere we’re used to, it was a pleasant experience. If we attend another event at this hotel, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Grand Cypress again.

What really stands out about this location is the staff. We had an issue with our reservation that Andrea resolved before we arrived. At check-in, Letitia was more than helpful. She really made us feel welcomed. All of the Bellman were also amazing especially Tim and D who made us feel like VIPs. The restaurants on site also had amazing staff. The location is very close to Disney and not too far from Universal. They do offer a shuttle, but we found the times that they were leaving and picking up to not be very convenient so we ended up taking our own car but no problem there. They do have two EV parking spots on site and you’re allowed to charge for up to four hours at a time. When we checked in, it was not an issue, but on the second day, lots of Teslas and only two chargers no worries though there’s a supercharger not far away at all. The restaurants are wonderful and trendy with a lot of different food items for even the pickiest of eaters, including my little one. The rooms are sort of were it all falls short. They are tiny and the beds are super close together. The rooms are also really loud. Especially if you have inconsiderate people next to you. The walls are very thin and anytime someone shuts the door your door will shake uncontrollably with it. They also had people outside leaf blowing super early and we were on the second floor , so could really hear it. Not the best place to sleep in for sure. They have a bathtub shower combo in the bathtub’s actually a pretty deep tub, which is great for soaking, except where they placed the plumbing. You can’t reach it while sitting in the tub so you have to physically stand up while the water is running to turn it off or run the bath ahead of time and then get in. Either way it’s not convenient. There’s also no grab bar in there and the ground is super slippery so getting over the extra tall side could be tricky for some. Lastly, we had two rooms in one of our two rooms. You could see the fireworks from the balcony. By the way, the balcony is are really just Juliet balconies so you can step out but there’s not much space and no furniture. So it’s not somewhere where you would just hang out. All in all because of the great staff, including Merlot, the parrot who hangs out in the lobby, and the amenities, and the location I’m willing to ignore the lackluster rooms. Plus the rooms were spotlessly clean so can’t complain too much! Just not overly luxurious!

Resort is pretty big and very family friendly. Great spot for people traveling with kids and spending time at the pool. For couples/business it is fairly standard. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the hotel lobby bar is a good size (we spent about $80 for 3 drinks), and there are a few restaurants for dinner. On this stay, the hotel lost water for several hours. This was poorly communicated as we inquired via their text message and didn't hear anything back until it was corrected a few hours later. No mention of it by the concierge at check out and no acknowledgement via their text communication either. The hotel has a relationship with a company for car rentals as well. This seemed like a great option for the day, but we learned after renting for the day that the car company does not have a relationship with the hotel for parking privileges if the car is returned after the 5pm closing of the rental counter. Overall, the hotel is a decent place to stay, but the service that would take it from a standard 3 star to something higher was lacking.

Yelp
Finally! We came for our second visit over the holiday weekend. It was as beautiful as I remember, and we were really looking forward to pool time, which we got plenty of. Now that I'm becoming a "pro" I will plan to reserve grotto pool chairs during my next visit. Then we don't have to wake up early to find a good spot and hang out all the way until 11:00am when the poolside grill (On The Rocks) opens. If I had one request, it would be to align the pool opening time and the opening time for On The Rocks. The pool opens around 0700, but you can't order any food or drinks until 11:00 unless you leave the pool area for another option. But we loved the pool and the slide again! Had a great time relaxing and getting some sun. And this time our room was on the 5th floor and overlooking the pool area (last time we had no special view). From the rooms with the pool view, you can see a nightly fireworks show. During our time here, there was also a drone show! We went to the hallway window to see the drone show because our room was on the left wing of the building (looking out towards the pool) and the building is angled so that we couldn't see the drone show. No biggie but good to know for us personally next time! All the food and drinks here were again fantastic and while not cheap, we felt that between the size and quality of the things we bought, it was still a fair price. We didn't feel ripped off. One of our evenings at the hotel, we left to go out to dinner and when we came back, we looked for an open handicap (or even Spa) parking spot. No luck. Just as we were told last time and the first day for this visit, if you have a handicap placard and there's no handicap spots available, you just pull up to the valet area and they will park your car for the same self-parking rate. But this particular evening, the valet guy--Joshua--for some reason told my husband that "as of tonight, they no longer have that policy" and would charge him the full valet rate. We simply left our car right there and went inside to confirm with a manager who was awesome and quickly corrected the situation. They also informed Joshua that he does need to take care of ALL of his customers. We're not sure if he didn't see anything obviously wrong with my husband or why he had the mindset that he did that night. In the end, the manager working the next morning followed up and even removed the parking fees all together to apologize for the unfair treatment. We still love this hotel and still plan to come back again in the future because of the fantastic service. This is one of the best Hyatts around! This is the place I think of when I need relaxation!

Yelp
Enjoyed my business stay here. Beautiful property and there's a nice outdoor area where you can walk around the property. There's nature scenes which included Zen theme to waterfalls and crossing a mini bridge. Staff was excellent from the valet to checkin to restaurant. My room had a fantastic view and kept spotless daily. Highly recommend. Cheers!

Yelp
My wife and I recently stayed here for three days. The hotel and its staff were very nice. The rooms were spacious and clean, although a few updates were needed (to include a comfort height toilet) The pool was awesome, as was the beach. The beach/poolside service was fantastic (a big shout out to our server "Irish". The housekeeping staff was attentive, not to mention doing a fantastic job.

Yelp
I've stayed at several orlando hotels, and this, by far, has been my favorite. The property is huge, it offers so many recreational activities, and the pools are great, although I would live for them to heat it. It can get very cold and that's my only complaint. The restaurants on the property are wonderful. Room service was fast and fiid delivered hot. A room with a balcony overlooking the pool on a high floor is the only way to go! The views of the fireworks are amazing, too. Parking is steep $$$ but, if you're in Orlando, be prepared to shell out money regardless.

Yelp
Second time at this resort and this time I actually enjoyed the pool, and some of the services. It is a family-friendly resort while also offering convention services. Pool area feels like an oasis in the middle of the city. My family and I enjoyed spending Memorial Day weekend here while redeeming two free nights with Hyatt!

Yelp
Hyatt's On the Rocks is situated along Lake Windsong, offering views of the lagoon pool and beach. The location is very convenient, since we were at the pool. On the Rocks features four 60-inch TVs as well as relaxing, shaded seating with full bar and food service. From grab-and-go selections to popular grill station favorites, the pool bar offers convenience and value. We ate here for the first time. I was here with my family of six including three preschool children, while enjoying the kiddy pool area. They have very large umbrellas near the pool to shield you from the sun. The restaurant is mainly outdoors adjacent to the pool area overlooking the lake paddle boats, etc. I started with and enjoyed my Cypress rum runner with Cruzan Rum, DeKuyper Blackberry Brandy, Banana Liqueur, Fruit Juices, Myers's Rum cocktail for $17 at the pool. I also enjoyed my chicken quesadilla with flour Tortilla, Grilled Chicken, Jack and Cheddar Cheese, Cilantro Cream, Salsa, Guacamole for $16. Diniela served our table very well. My total bill including 18% gratuity was $211. We will return here again.

Yelp
You must stay here for Merlot, not the wine... the resident Macaw. He's the Hyatt Ambassador, who sits in the lobby and eats his nuts. I love him! The Grand Cypress Resort is underrated but so impressive. The expansive, clean pools, adorned with waterfalls, were amazing. They are surrounded by lush greenery creating a rainforest feel. The three restaurants, including one by Richard Blais, offer diverse dinner options. The colossal fitness center, accessible through enchanting grottos, was so unique. Evening fire pits and Disney firework views are available every night.

Janice K.

Yelp
We were here for a charity event weekend and the staff did an amazing job. The reserved rooms were decorated in theme, the snacks and desserts were delicious, dinner was amazing, and the free drinks were awesome. Definitely look at their options for any events.

Ally W.

Yelp
I stayed here for five nights, so had a good chance to explore the property. The property itself is great. The pools are big, with a long waterslide. There are lots of sports options available: biking, pickleball, basketball, rock climbing, etc. There is even a foosball table randomly situated somewhere on the property. My room was of a good size. The bed was comfortable. I had a view of the lake, but heard that the other side of the hall had view of Magic Kingdom fireworks. The bathroom was of a good size too. 1 star off: The walls and windows are paper thin, so noise is a big problem. The two main groups who stay here are corporate groups or Disney families with young children. The corporate groups tend to have evening events on the terrace, so you may hear loud music late at night. Young children can be quite disturbing depending on their temperament. The toddlers across the hall from me had multiple temper tantums and the parents didn't intervene much, so I could hear everything...yes, from across the hall! I had one great night of sleep. I guess your experience would vary depending on the corporate events and the neighbors during your stay.

Yelp
A conference that I attended to from Sunday through Tuesday was hosted at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I booked a stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress from Sunday through Wednesday. I arrived at the hotel around 4:00 P.M, the perfect time for check-in! As soon as the UBER driver drove into the resort, I was in awe at how beautiful it was. The entry way was absolutely stunning, and you'll see all of the grounds with waterfalls as you drive towards the entrance. As soon as you enter the lobby, you'll see a open bar to the left, with the conference areas, further on. Open seating in the middle of the resort, and if you continue further, you'll see their MARKET place and the Lakeside restaurant, open for breakfast to dinner. Check-in and elevators are to the right. You can also access the pool from there as well. Check-in was a breeze, and the team member provided a map of the resort. There are a lot of amenities on-site at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Free Internet Access On-site Restaurants Room Service Pool Fitness Center Spa Golf Laundry This is a really nice resort. There is a large pool that interconnects with cave like structures that you can swim-through. There is also a large slide as well! There are plenty of seats available to lay at next to the swimming pools. If you walk the resort you'll notice a lot of activities. Pickleball Bicycles Jogging/Nature Trails Putt Putt Golf Rock Climbing The room I had was really nice. The bed was pretty comfortable. Inside the room includes a minifridge, coffee maker, safe, iron board for ironing, and lounge. I didn't stay too long inside the room since I was at the conference most of the time at the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt Regency does offer complimentary transportation services to Universal Studios and Disney Worlds TTC (Transport & Ticket center). You do need to book a reservation and timeslot though. Since there are pre-set times, it may not necessarily align with your schedule though. Overall, I've been to Orlando plenty of times and even stayed at a few Disney World properties. This is one of my favorite resorts I've stayed at so far in Orlando Florida. I would stay here again if I was booking a family trip to Sea World, Disney World, or Universal Studios!

Yelp
This resort is very nice! I just had the pleasure of staying 4 nights for a business meeting and my stay was excellent. The properly (inside and outside) is HUGE! Service was very good. We had a few business dinners here and the food was good quality. I lucked out with a lovely balcony view - both of the surrounding lake and also of the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night. There's a very nice pool area and also a couple of walking trails around the property. The only downsides are that the elevators can be a bit slow (there are 5 but still not that quick) and the size of the property can be a bit daunting. It's a pretty long walk from the room elevators down to the conference areas and also quite a hike to the self-parking lot. That being said, if you're looking for a nice vacation where you do WDW parks 1-2 days but also relax at the hotel 1-2 days, this would be a great choice.

Yelp
Horrible hotel. Very disappointed with my stay here. The outside looks great. The grounds are well kept. Valet parking. But so, so many issues with this hotel. A couple words come to mind when I think of this hotel. Crusty and old. Issues: 1. first room assigned on the 11th floor my husband and I were walking down the corridor and were smacked in the face by a smell of cat piss. He noticed it first and then I did. It was so gross. When we got to the room it was in the room as well. We were asked to be moved to another room. 2. Room was dirty. See pictures. It's like they never truly clean the room entirely every now and then and they just change the sheets and take out the trash. 3. Shower had black mold in it. See pictures 4. Walls are super thin and you can hear your neighbor above you and their every, EVERY move. 5. Balcony door is ridiculous. Have to have super strength to pry it open. 6. Hotel needs to be renovated. Their is paint peeling off the walls, carpets are torn, all the doors had scuff marks or paint chips 7. The house cleaners were a huge issue. They were SO LOUD. Every morning they would be practically screaming at each other when they were just having a conversation. Another was talking on her phone through headphones super loud. The doors don't have a soft close so they would always slam the doors super hard. 8. The hallways were dirty. The house keepers spend more time talking on their phones rather than cleaning the place. It was clearly the issue. 9. Parking lot is far. I've never experienced this. And it's $34 a night to park far. 10. Bed and pillows were laughable how uncomfortable they were. 11. Their phone in the room does absolutely nothing. They said at check in to dial an extension and it does nothing. I tired pushing all the preset buttons on the phone to reach someone but it didn't work. It was like nothing in this hotel was right at all. The worst part was it was filthy. Do better Hyatt!!!

Yelp
Our 6th consecutive year enjoying a staycation here! Very tropical vibe! Feels like you're in the Caribbean without the plane ride. We did our vows here the day of our wedding, and also stayed two nights of our honeymoon here. We've been coming every year since and now we bring our kids here! Its always a special time! Staff is always great! The rooms are always clean. The food at their Lakehouse Restaurant is great as well! They include two complimentary water bottles in your refrigerator inside the room. The stay can be a little pricy but if you book ahead of time, you can get a good deal. Also check Expedia. Check in is at 4pm but they usually have rooms available before then. Either way, come early and enjoy the amenities as soon as you arrive! You don't need to have your room ready to head to the pool. They offer valet parking. The daily rate for the self parking is $30. So many activities! Kids love it. Huge pool, with caves connecting two pools Smaller pool with a water slide Splash pad Rock climbing Kayak Bicycles Putt Putt Golf Hammocks Ping pong Game room Gym (with some Peloton equipment!) Water stations are available to refill your Stanley's!(or water bottles of your choosing) Pool side grill, has tables and a bar or you can sit (or be inside the pool) and order with the pool waiters and they will deliver to you! Pay with credit card or charge your room. No cash! Theres a 18% gratuity already included in all orders. Ordered two piña coladas and the total was $37 - for reference. They were delicious though! (Similar prices at all resorts so no complaining here) Check out of the room is at 11, but again - you can stay for the remaining of the day using the amenities! Pool towels are available by the pool deck. Restrooms are under the cave - across from the gym. Baby changing station is outside of the stalls inside the women's bathroom. They email you with an express check out option, you review your charges and check out without having to go in person. *Keep your room card to exit the self parking!*

Yelp
Stayed for 5 nights with my family of 3. There is a dedicated WOH concierge who quickly greeted us and offered us a glass of champagne! Let me tell you, this small gesture was all it took to put us in a better mood after a long day of travel! We were upgraded to a room with a view of the resort and Epcot fireworks for $15/night; it was well worth it! Our view was spectacular! The room was nice and housekeeping was wonderful, they checked on us often. On site is Four Flamingos restaurant and the Lakehouse. In the morning we would grab a coffee at the market which is Starbucks brand and very good! The pools were beautiful, a little on the chilly side but refreshing after basking in the sun. The grottos were a great touch! My son particularly loved the hot tub in the grotto! At night we roasted s'mores in the propane fireplaces located around the property. We road the paddle boats in the morning and enjoyed the wildlife. I am very impressed with this property, you certainly don't feel the hustle and bustle of Orlando. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

Yelp
We stayed here for 2 nights, following a stay at a Marriott vacation club place. In comparison, the Hyatt was a big upgrade to the MVC but overall, an average Hyatt experience. I'd probably give it a 3.5 but the S.O. did not enjoy our stay so bumping this down to a 3. PROS: Location is great for WDW parks. The rooms are spacious and we had a nice view of the pool and Magic Kingdom fireworks. The grounds are nice to walk around though we didn't have time to rent bikes or any water craft. There's a basketball hoop and a golf pitch n putt that could be fun. CONS: The main downside are the conferences that take place here as it can lead to parts of the hotel/grounds being closed for private events or loud music into the evening (until 10pm IIRC) which we experienced on our first night. We were on the 6th floor and maybe a higher floor or different room location might've helped lessen the sound of the music. The pool hot tubs are also disappointingly small, and once there's a few people in them, it's pretty crowded. We ordered food from Lakeside one night and the S.O. hated it. Personally, I didn't mind the food at all, but he was disappointed. We also had breakfast included with our stay and our server, Loubert, was so nice and accommodating. We had the buffet and I found it to be a nice spread. I would stay here again, though not sure if the S.O. would want to. But for proximity to the WDW parks, I think it's a great option.

Yelp
I visited this property by purchasing a day resort pass for me and my family for my sons 7th birthday back in August. For 2 adults and 2 children it came out to $173 with tax. I was willing to pay a rather high price in my opinion for us to have a great time enjoying all the amenities it has to offer without any stress of having to worry about hosting an at home birthday party. They have so many cool activities here from kayaking to rock climbing to enjoying the hot tubs or waterfalls. The only big down side for me was that this resort was extremely over packed. It was a bit of a turn off as this made me iffy going into the water so I mainly stood out and just tanned, played on the futsball table, paddle boarded, oh and hit the gym a little.. I can't forget to mention, we saw some uncleansy things like hair around one pool (gross) and the water wasn't to clean either unfortunately. I definitely underestimated this hotspot and the crowd of tourism it attracts. I really should of know better too since the location is right by Disney and being a Floridian myself not sure why I didn't look up the exact location as I assumed it was closer to celebration (less touristy area last time I checked). Despite that we still made the best of it and other than that the premises/grounds are very well kept. My boys were happy to get to experience something different and to young to notice the details of the pools. Also, keep in mind that you can't bring coolers there. They have places to eat there and free water stations around the pool premises. I ended up just bringing a small bag of fruits and small snacks for us since we were going to be there most of the day. Additionally, they played Nemo during sunset and fired up the pit for s'mores in the evening so that was a very nice touch to end our night together. I wouldn't purchase a resort pass from here again but I can't say we didn't make the most out of our visit.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous hotel right by Disney. Hyatt does a good job keeping this hotel up to date and with great people employed here. From check in, everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel room was quiet and clean. Water pressure was strong and temperature was great. Definitely one of my more liked hotels.

Maria A M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay here, the hospitality, activities, and just everything about his hotel was amazing. I have nothing bad to say at all. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend. I did like the smart TVs and being able to connect very easily!

Alyson H.

Yelp
When booking hotels I prefer to have a balcony. When this hotel popped up with all the amenities I booked right away. I was a little disappointed upon arriving into our room that the "balcony" is large enough for 3 adults to stand on. There's no patio furniture and actually the sliding door from our room was so difficult to open we tried once and were fed up so never opened it again. The staff here is super friendly! And the pool(s) are amazing. Mini golf, rock climbing wall, tennis, bikes, paddle boats- so much to do! When using the self parking be sure to have your actual room key ready. We tried using the key from my phone and it was a real struggle. This location is super close to a lot of restaurants, a WaWa, and Disney/Universal.

Ryan C.

Yelp
We liked everything we saw from the pictures and reviews of this place and knew that this had to be the best hotel for the first part of our trip. Props to Hyatt for helping us change our reservation and not charge us more due to Tropical Storm Nicole delaying our flight. The compound the hotel is on is huge and has its own security gate. The lobby is enormous and even has its own parrot too! The staff was super friendly and gave us champagne for my girlfriend's birthday at at check in which was super nice. We got put on the 7th floor and got a quiet room away from the elevator. The room itself wasn't anything crazy surprisingly. It looked a little older than we expected. The shower door leaked out a lot of water which was pretty disappointing. We did love the dual balconies that gave us a really great view of Orlando and the hotel's beach. The other stuff in the room was standard but it did the job. I would absolutely love to come back here and stay longer just because the compound is so nice and there are a lot of things to do on property. It's also great because they have shuttles that you can book to take you to Disney parks or Disney Springs.

If you haven't been to this resort recently, they have Fresh Young Coconuts for consumption, with or without alcohol. Adults I highly recommend the Cruzan Rum they add to this refreshing and delicious beverage.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience here and I only stayed for 24 hours (thank GOD!!!) I live in the Orlando area for college and my family likes to try out different hotels when they come to visit me. We wanted to try the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for the fun pool areas and amenities that are offered. Upon arrival we were offered champagne that was handed to us in plastic cups. Very on brand for the rest of this experience to be honest. We then went out to the pool where we found that every single pool chair was full. Most of them were not occupied with people, but mostly just dirty towels and dishes. After circling the pool deck twice, I asked one of the many recreation attendants (who were just standing around) for some help to just find ANYWHERE to set our stuff down, because we had a lot of bags. I didn't get her name, but a girl with brown curly hair in a pink shirt told me QUOTE "There is no help. You'll have to look by the beach area." Then proceeded to stand around. I was truly appalled. I work in Recreation at a luxury resort and I would lose my job if I said that to a guest. Not sure what that girl's job is, but it apparently isn't to help guests at the pool. I was so furious I wanted to get a manager, but then a lovely security guard named Perry helped us find an empty chair. He truly was the silver lining of this experience and the hotel is lucky to have him. Our pool server was excellent, I didn't get his name but he was very personable and helpful. Earlier today at lunch, I went to use the ladies room which had a huge cleaning cart in front of it. I went into the ladies room (because it was the only one in the restaurant) and the attendant who was cleaning snapped at me and said "Can you give me just a minute?!" God forbid I need to go pee!!!!! Oh my god this was such a horrible experience I will never ever go back or let my family stay here ever again. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

Yelp
Having come from the Hyatt Regency Orlando from our prior 2 nights, I had high expectations this property would be just as good, if not better as it as promoted highly as a premier Hyatt resort property. Unfortunately this was not the case, as there were several areas that fell short. To start, our room was very small and not in the best cleanliness or working order condition. The tub had soap scum on the glass shelf which was clearly not cleaned prior to checking in. Additionally, there was a crusty yellow stain on the bed skirt and faint stain on the sofa. The bathroom sink did not drain easily, and the toilet did not flush well either. We were only here for one night, so those issues were not a major concern we brought to the attention of the hotel staff. After all, they were nice enough to 'upgrade' our room to a pool/Disney fireworks view. One of the biggest disappointments I experienced at the resort is the lack of a heated pool, despite this being advertised. The weather when we visited was sunny and 75. The pool water however was frigid and we were unable to use the pool during our stay as a result. When we brought this concern to the attention of the staff at the Front Desk upon checkout, the agent said "Everyone has that complaint, but it IS heated". Seems like if EVERY guest feels this way, management should do a better job of listening to guest feedback and turn up the heaters. We wanted to warm up on the chilly afternoon we checked out, but discovered the fire pits only operate at night which was a further disappointment. After all, guests are paying a hefty $45 resort fee to be able to use amenities like the pool and fire pits and neither were enjoyable during our stay. I felt like since we were unable to enjoy some of the major hotel amenities, the resort fee should have been offered to be refunded. While there were ample "towel return" bins, it was impossible to find fresh towels anywhere other than the poolside bar which was on the other side of the pool area. Furthermore, the F&B options are pretty limited. The most disappointing thing was the hotel market, which is claustrophobic closet tucked away from the lobby. Many Hyatts I have been to including the Hyatt Regency Orlando's market is open 24 hours. It seems like a property of this size and resort style should have at least one outlet available to guests at all hours. When we asked the Front Desk for a little extra time and to be able to check out at noon, we were told no. The positives were that almost every staff member we encountered was very nice. I even received a personalized text from the Front Desk staff to remind me of the fireworks I could see from my room. We were also able to enjoy the paddle boats and bikes, we just wish we were able to enjoy the other amenities the hotel had to offer. The hotel grounds were well kept and the lobby ambassador Merlot the Macaw was very charming. Overall, This location has a lot of potential to be the premier resort Hyatt aspires it to be. However, it is clear management needs to listen to their guests and take some advice and lessons from Hyatt Regency Orlando up the street.

Yelp
This resort is beautiful! From the moment you enter you feel you are somewhere serene. The premises are surrounded by waterfalls and fountains and lots of statues. The staff is professional, friendly and does an impeccable job of making everyone feel welcomed. The resort offers rock climbing, biking, paddle boats, kayaking and more which is included in the resort fee. My favorite part of my stay; was the pool. The pool is freaking amazing! I believe there's a total of three pools and two hot tubs. You can grab a Pina Colada & hang out by the pool all day. The lake view room was worth it. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Always on top of their game here. We are biased and loyal to Hyatt, but the customer experience here has always been top notch....which is the reason it's our preferred stay in Orlando/Disney. From the pool (look at the pics online) to the bars and restaurants, they're all good. Four Flamingos (formerly Hemingways), an exciting concept from Chef Richard Blais is on property and has AMAZING food also. The secret ice cream bar (still can't figure out the exact hours all the time but that adds to the excitement) is a great snack and Merlot (could be red-and-green, but I believe Scarlett) welcomes guests during the day and early evening. The tropical campus is big enough to feel secluded but close enough to any and everything you'll need or want. Pool side gets great views of Disney fireworks! *Bonus - The Grand Cypress Golf Course (about a mile or so off site) is super fun and the New Course, Jack Nicklaus's tribute to St Andrews is always a good time. Mike and the staff there are outstanding! I almost feel like I'm giving the secret away with this place...give it a try!

Joe S.

Yelp
This is a dining guest only review. The Valet staff was super friendly when we asked if this is where the Four Flamingos restaurant was located, they promptly took the vehicle and reminded me to get the slip stamped at the restaurant. The lobby was stunning as was walking through the grounds to get to the restaurant. It was chilly on the day we went so we didn't go too crazy checking it all out. After a short outside walk, we arrived at the Four Flamingos restaurant. When we were done, we got the valet ticket stamped (with a flamingo stamp), headed to the valet where the same guy saw me and asked me how my dinner was. How thoughtful of him to remember and ask that question. We both cried at the moment, then they retrieved the vehicle, opened my door to let me in, then shut the door and we were on our way to I4.

Yelp
Pretty property....very COLD SWIMMING POOL! Biggest disappointment of the whole week. I bit the bullet twice and went in said pool. Once in the evening and once on a sunny warm day...mind you, I'm a tough chick- i lived at high elevation in the snow for 35 winters. That was a breeze compared to climbing in that dang "heated" pool. What a joke!!! Obviously, the people making the profit on this hotel care more about money than happy swimming guests who would return again. WE WON'T BE RETURNING nor singing any praises about this "Resort". SAD!!!!!

Yelp
Even though this is a luxury hotel, there are lots of flaws with it. The rooms are comfortable but on the smaller side. The beds are comfy though. And the view is awesome! Now for some of the negatives. Food choices--very slim. Theres a grab an go market with overpriced items but not much of a selection. $2.50 for a small bag if pretzels?!? $10 for a ham and cheese sandwich with one piece or ham and one of cheese?!?! It wasnt good but one of the only open choices. There is a fancy sit down restaurant that only opens at 6pm for dinner. Not shre if they do breakfast but we did not take part in this. There is a grill by the pool. The fries there Re amazing and the chicken sandwich i had was also really good. It was crowded though. Being one of the only options probably contributes to the crowd and the longer than desired wajr time. Let's talk elevators! What a horrible experience!! There are less elevators than needed. Guests were pushing and shoving to get on and it was not fun at all. Traveling with a larger party it was nearly impossible to all get on. Plus if you have a fear of heights it is rough bc they are glass elevators. The pool is nice. Had a fun slide as well as caves and places to explore. The towels are much bigger than many other pools in hotels which is nice. Parking--expensive and not close! All in all i give this 3 stars. While it is a nice hotel there are many others in the area with more for less money.

Yelp
This resort was very nice. We were here for a conference and couldn't enjoy many of the amenities, except the pool. I loved the grotto that went around two pools. We spent a little time at the adult pool, but parents don't read the signs and use it. Adult pool is what it is, no screaming , splashing kids. The drinks are pricey,$20 a drink. Overall very nice resort and great customer service.

Yelp
This place was really nice! Great location for our 5 days, 4 spent at Disney World. The front desk was nice, our room was clean, and the amenities were amazing!! My kids enjoyed the pool! We also golfed, road bikes and played tennis. Lots to do there. We also ate there once and it was good!! Fyi, the "putt putt" golf is a little more, 8 holes that are about 30-50 yards each.

Yelp
READ BEFORE BOOKING. I have never been a fan of Hyatts but after staying at the Hyatt Zilara in Cap Cana, we decided to see how the Hyatt Grand Cypress was. While we were not expecting it to be at the level of Cap Cana, we certainly did not expect it to be in such shambles and so dirty. Upon entering our room (Room 1803) we were hit with such a pungent smell of wet dog fur, found several long black hairs in the closet and bathroom sink, dust everywhere, and little pieces of garbage strewn about the carpet. We immediately called housekeeping (who were great). They were extremely apologetic and had us leave our room so they could clean it properly. Unfortunately, when we returned to our room, the smell in the hallway was now permeating our room and no one dusted. We were too tired to complain again so we called it a night. When we awoke to an even more pungent smell we went down to the lobby and asked someone to please do something. The gentleman at the desk explained that they know there is/was a problem but they have to call a carpet cleaning service to come out. So question #1, if you know the carpets are bad and need to be cleaned why keep putting guests in those rooms???? We were moved to another room (Room 1601) and it was no better. The carpets all smelled quite strongly of wet dog. It's important to note that the new room was on the same side as the original room just 2 floors down. The reason why I mention this is we decided to walk on the other side of the hotel and there was a clear distinction - the other side did not smell. So question #2, why do you keep putting guests on a side of your property that clearly has not been kept clean and needs drastic cleaning and repairs???? Lastly, the shower floors are EXTREMELY slippery so please lay down a mat. I fell and bruised my whole left side of my body. If the weather were nicer we would have checked out and gone somewhere else but we only have 2 more nights and are just doing our best to only go back to the hotel to sleep. We plan on contacting World of Hyatt for our money/points back as this was truly the most memorable experience in the worst way.

Yelp
My husband attended a symposium at the Hyatt Regency and I decided to tag along for some R&R. I'm so happy I did. This hotel is beautiful and huge! The lobby has a very grand entrance. The grounds are meticulously landscaped and clean. From bike rentals and kayaking to a rock climbing wall - there's a ton of options for the whole family. I spent time by the pool, which has a high end Vegas vibe. It's enormous in size, has waterfalls, and ample lounge chairs. The staff is also very attentive. The room was a decent size. Housekeeping did a great job. My husband said the food at the symposium was very good! I've stayed at many hotels in Orlando and this by far has been my favorite, especially for a longer vacation!

Yelp
We were at the Hyatt today for lunch. It's been over 5 years since there last. We have a history at this hotel. Our first visit with 30 others (family and friends) was in July,1986 two years after it opened. But today at the Lakehouse restaurant (formerly Cascades) we were greeted by a phenomenal staff. SEAN was there to greet us and was very professional, very personable and engaging in conversation with us. It was a pleasure as it was also meeting NATALIE working with Sean. She, as well a pleasure to meet. Our server was AICHA who was also the best! Very professional, very personable, extremely helpful with the menu. Her favorite choices were GREAT. We loved talking about family history at the hotel and her history with family. All these staff members were excellent in their service and we thoroughly enjoying talking and laughing with them. They are such an asset to this hotel and company. Thanks again guys, it was a pleasure talking with you!! The food was excellent. Started off with the Rock Shrimp and corn chowder soup. I ordered the Blackened grouper sandwich which was very flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Not spicy at all. Dottie ordered the Plant City Strawberry and Goat Cheese Salad with added SALMON as recommended by AICHA. (better than the steak or chicken choices) It was cooked perfectly. Not too rare or well done. What an excellent tasting salad. Had everything. Wasn't crazy about the new decorating of the restaurant. Miss the old water fountains and sculptures in the restaurant. We're classics. But the views of the hotel on the lake and pool area are still beautiful all these 36 years later. I hope management knows how great this staff were and how they treat their guests. We stopped by just for lunch and they made it memorable! Posted the menu and our choices and some views.

Yelp
Fan of all Hyatt Regencies. This one is no exception. Clean and modern rooms, EV charging, food options on site, and the service is on the upper end.

Yelp
Amenities and location are important, they are not everything. Check in was quick and I was treated to a glass of champagne and a flyer of activities on site. The flyer was outdated, when I went to the lobby bar for happy hour they told me it was no longer available. The room was very nice, great shower and a view. Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable. There are signs around about being quiet 9 pm till 8 am. The staff doesn't read them, I woke up at 7:45 to slamming doors that shook my room. Checked the hallway carts for room cleaning , not sure how they made the doors slam. The pool is amazing. The covered hot tub I was looking forward to had broken jets. I did locate one outside that was working and had a waterfall feature. I was unable to buy an aspirin since the gift shop was out. On backorder. Seriously, I am sure there is a Costco or Sam's Club. This level of hotel with so many guests and headache medicine is not an option. At the front desk they have nothing to provide maybe they are not allowed, however telling me where a seven eleven is that I can drive to was just not what I expected. With resort fee it's $200.00 a night and I wanted, needed, expected more. A little indifference by some staff , a little updating and repairs are needed and a terrible night's sleep. My stay at the Hyatt Regency on International Drive in June was exceptional, this was anticlimactic. I have been a Hyatt and Marriott member for many years, I think Ill keep Marriott as my go to.

Yelp
I found this place as a higher rated resort in Orlando. I booked this vacation through Southwest vacations and am so glad I did. After seeing all the amenities that come with staying here, it sounded like a good time. At the time of booking, we didnt know if we would rent a car or not, so we wanted to stay somewhere that offered food and entertainment. The check in process went extremely smooth and the gentleman that helped us was so nice. I can tell that he enjoys his job. He was a pleasant face and spirit. Our room was ready about 30 mins after we checked in in the Am. We def appreciated that we could check in earlier than the normal 3/4pm time frame. We did decide to grab a drink at the pool bar. Just as a heads up there is an automatic 18% tip added on. Oh I forgot to mention that this hotel is pretty much cashless. You can have items charged to your room or credit card. There is a small shop that sells Starbucks coffee and other knick knacks and snacks. A great touch if you need any last min or late night items. After the pool we checked into out room and took a nap. in the middle of the nap i woke up to our neighbors baby screaming and crying and sounds of banging. The crying was going on for about an hour. While being sensitive to having children...we did call down to be moved. We were accommodated quickly and put in a room on the end. Was a much better view of the pool and quiet! The rooms are a pretty decent size with a king bed and a pull out sofa bed. I loved that we could see the fireworks from our room in the distance. ALl of the staff were extremely friendly...including the hotel parrot Merlot. The elevators were fast and smooth. The staff made sure the grounds were well kept and the inside in top notch shape. I feel like they cleaned all day which is so uncommon to see. Parking in $30 per night. I didnt know that or missed that info on their site. No big deal. The parking is a little ways from the hotel entrance so be prepared to walk a little. There are 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. The pools were a little cold in February but the hot tub was nice at night. On site, there was also bike riding, paddle boating, rock climbing and more. Overall, i really enjoyed my stay and will def consider coming back!

Yelp
I had a great stay here while attending our annual conference. The hotel was large and well-kept, the pool area absolutely beautiful with lots of amenities, all of the staff here seems to be extremely well, trained and very friendly. I want to take a moment to specifically recognize the chef and the food and beverage staff. I have celiac disease which can make eating while traveling extremely difficult. The staff was well trained, the kitchen was accommodating with lots of gluten-free options, and all of my food came to me gluten-free, Nima tested. The only places I have stayed that can come close from a food safety standpoint are Disney properties. I was pleasantly surprised to be so well taken care of by the staff. Often when explaining Celiac I feel like a burden, all of the staff here were so caring, the night of our awards dinner I even had three of them come out to ask me about my tester, so that they were educated for future clients. I wish I'd gotten their names to thank them properly. Such great people, thank you chef, your training shows.

Yelp
Driving up to this giant complex, I wondered if this was a hotel, as there was a gate attendant it resembles a residential complex. I believe this hotel was built in the 1980s, but my room was renovated with a rain shower and 60 inch television, the only dated aspects of this hotel are the hallways and the lack of insulation between rooms, it can get loud in the hallways. My bed was comfortable and my room was clean. This hotel had a lot of amenities included with the resort fee. Including a large pool and spa, and even a lake to go kayaking in. If you are here on business the amenities may be overkill. The gym was a bit of a miss for me, the bathroom needed to be cleaned and the equipment could have been upgraded. There were plenty of peloton bikes though. I would stay here again with a free night or points.

Yelp
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of Walt Disney World and it's on property resorts. Located about a mile and a half outside of Disney Spring, the Hyatt Regency is part of the Grand Cypress facility which includes a lake, golf course and racquet club. (It's about a 20 minute walk to Disney Springs, where you can catch Disney transportation to the parks or the hotel does offer a shuttle service to the parks). The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a large hotel with over a thousand rooms and often hosts conventions, so it can get busy but the hotel offers a lot of room around the building for outdoor recreation. The highlight of the property is the pool complex which comprises of one large main pool that connects with a secondary quiet pool through a grotto like complex. There are two hot tubs, one in the grotto and the other above the quieter pool. There is also a water slide and a climbing wall as part of the facility. There is also a sandy beach that you can rent canoes and kayaks at where you can take out onto the lake, but like every body of water in Florida, use your best judgement. You can also take bikes out on property and there are two trails that you can ride on; one for one mile and the other for three miles. Note: all of this is included in your daily resort fee so you're paying for it even if you don't use it. The rooms at this property are nice, if not a little dated. We had a corner room that had a pool view, which meant we could see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot and also had a direct view of Disney Springs. Most room will come with two double beds, but we had one with one king bed. The rooms are not overly spacious, but also not cramped. The TVs like most Hyatt hotels are capable of casting through the World of Hyatt app, so that was a bonus. We had breakfast every morning at the Lakehouse and while our status provided us with free breakfast, the buffet offered more than enough to make the paid rate worth it. The Lakehouse also serves dinner, which randomly has a sushi bar and the sushi was surprisingly good. If you want something a little more fancy, Four Flamingos by Richard Blais is next to the pool, but we did not partake. You can also order pizza from Lakehouse, but pick it up as they charge $10 for room service. Overall, I think the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress offers a compelling value in comparison to the Disney Resorts or even the hotels located on Hotel Blvd. by Disney Springs. You have great outdoor facilities, but the proximity to the parks gives you the flexibility to go back forth, if you want.

Yelp
5 stars all around. Kids had so much fun. They begged for us to let them play/stay longer and were so sad we had to leave. The staff, rooms, amenities, activities were all top notch. Huge resort pools with hidden coves and waterfalls, splash pad, bicycle rentals for entire family, paddle boats, electric water bike, canoes, putt putt golf, lake with sand area for building castles, and so many more activities! Location was so close to Disney and nearby lots of restaurants. We hardly had to drive far and only used 1/2 a tank for our entire trip. We used our rest days from the parks to enjoy the property's countless amenities. We had children of all ages and there's something for everyone to do. The adorable parrot, Merlot, was so fun and kids found to be fascinating. Overall, this Hyatt property surpassed our expectations. We plan to come back in the future and will recommend this hotel to all of our friends visiting Orlando.

Delanee B.

Yelp
4/5 stars just due to the fact that this resort closes early during the weekend! The pool itself is amazing, it was a little cold temperature wise but perfect for hot summer days. It has a super cool cave inside that you can swim around and a slide for the kids too. It's a large resort so they have a lot of different areas for everyone. It would be nice if they could also play some music by the pool because it was a little quiet. They have a poolside bar that also closes early so I would recommend you start your day early if you come here because there's not much night life here. We did end up going to the hot tub later which was nice and not too crowded. They also have a bonfire at night and at the little shop inside they sold chocolate, gram crackers and marshmallows so you can have a nice s'mores night! The room was nice and clean and spacious. I definitely would stay here again it was a relaxing staycation!

Yelp
While staying at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress we asked for valet to retrieve our vehicle. We provided the room number and name listed on the car. The valet driver drove up in our black infinity and handed over the keys. My friends and I then drove off and about 10 min into the drive the car warned there was no key detected which is odd because we had the key. We arrived at our destination about 20 min away from the hotel to find out that indeed we did not have the key to our car. But instead the valet left us with the key to someone else's blue Honda civic from a different room, leaving us stranded in the middle if nowhere during a torrential downpour. When the hotel was notified of their crazy ass mistake they called it a "miscommunication " and offered no resolution. We had to get our newlywed friend to rescue us on the night of her wedding. Not only that but they didn't even seem concerned that they handed the keys of another car to the wrong person. This was such an avoidable nightmare. One of many issues we've had with this place.

Shar W.

Yelp
After a lunch at the Lakehouse Restaurant at the Hyatt Grand Cypress near Disney World in Florida, my credit card was incorrectly charged for $14,104 instead of $104. This mistake was not caught by the restaurant or hotel accounting system. Two weeks later I discovered the $14,000 excess charge on my bill and complained to Hyatt Customer Service. Hyatt Customer Service was able to determine that the restaurant thought they had voided the error and found out from me, weeks later, that the void did not go through. The fraudulent charge was removed from my account 6 days after I first contacted them, and three weeks after the time of sale. I think it can be inferrred that Hyatt does not have a system in place to catch egregious employee errors, purposeful or otherwise, nor an accounting system that can catch incoming credit card assets being $14,000 higher than they should be. (It should be noted that my POS receipt includes further questionable entries. If this restaurant truly believed the fraudulent $14104 bill had been voided, then I should have seen a 2nd charge for the correct amount. Instead, the last line on the billing log states that the automatic 18% service charge was voided and my bill was paid in cash. )

Yelp
Stayed here during thanksgiving week for 8 nights. After a long flight from Seattle, entering our king room I was absolutely horrified by dust, hairs, marks on the walls, and a dirty bathroom. I ended up crying over how dirty the room was. I felt so guilty for complaining, but after 3 hours of sitting on the chair not opening my bags, I called housekeeping for a room refresh. The lady working (I believe her name started with a K. She has three kids) came up and deep cleaned the room. She spent 25 minutes in the bathroom spraying it down. I apologized for asking (and crying) yet she reassured me this was not the standard clean, and she loves her job so asking for a clean was no problem for her. Gave us fresh towels, flipped the bed up and re made it with all new clean bedding. I can't thank her enough. She went above and beyond for me. The fireworks from Disney are a plus, the hotel is huge with tons of things to do.. But this 5 stars is for the employee who made me feel right at home.

Alissa W.

Yelp
Used to come here as a kid I remember them having parrots all over. The place is extremely outdated except the rooms are a little bit nicer. The hotel needs a makeover and for the resort fee $40 they here someone cleaning up the pool area during the day its filthy. My room had a tv that didn't work with a kid that's a nightmare. We were really bored I had someone come in for 45 mins it still didn't work at 8:45 pm he offered the bring a new tv. I told them my child has to go to bed. This was a vacation nightmare.

Yelp
On the picturesque evening of March 30th, 2024, amidst the enchanting ambiance of Hyatt Grand Cypress Orlando, Ryan and Nicole embarked on their journey of love, eagerly anticipating a day of bliss and celebration. However, their dreams were marred by an unforeseen series of events, leaving an indelible mark on what was meant to be their perfect day.As the radiant bride walked down the aisle, anticipation filled the air, only to be shattered by a cascade of disappointments. Despite meticulous planning, the execution fell short, leaving guests disheartened and disillusioned. The once joyous atmosphere turned somber as guests, who had traveled from far and wide, were left with a bitter taste of disappointment.Regrettably, the mishaps extended beyond mere oversight. Victoria, the event planning manager, and Krystal, the director of event specialists, failed to uphold the standard of excellence expected of them. Instead of orchestrating a seamless affair, their actions exacerbated the situation, leading to undue stress and heartache for the newlyweds and their loved ones.In a poignant display of emotion, the bride was reduced to tears, her dreams of a fairytale wedding shattered by the reality of incompetence. Meanwhile, the groom grappled with a tide of anger, his frustration palpable in the face of such egregious mismanagement. With food hastily snatched away and a sense of discrimination looming over the proceedings, what should have been a day of unity and joy turned into a disheartening ordeal. As guests departed prematurely, their faith in the Hyatt Grand Cypress Orlando was tarnished, leaving a profound sense of disillusionment in its wake.In the aftermath of this unfortunate turn of events, Ryan and Nicole's wedding serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of professionalism and attention to detail in crafting memorable experiences. May their love endure despite the trials they faced on their special day, and may the Hyatt Grand Cypress Orlando learn from this misstep to ensure that future celebrations are marked by joy, not disappointment.

Yelp
This time (second time) was a little less awesome. Service was a little less attentive. Everything from the front desk to the room cleaning service. The first time we "paid" but this stay was "free" as we won an additional 2-night stay. Could that be it? The resort is beautiful. Lots of amenities and very close to Disney. Pool is large (it was a little cold for swimming unfortunately), they have a hot tub, chip and putt golf, boating and a pretty long walking/hiking trail. Couple restaurants and a bar in the lobby. Honestly, were Hilton Diamond members so maybe our expectations are a little high.

Corey S.

Yelp
I recommend this resort, epic pool and views. Pay the extra for the lake view and you can watch the fireworks in the distance. Our only issue was the bell desk failed at every turn. When our room was ready they never brought our bags up and when we called the last day they never came up to get our bags. Kinda strange but was consistently bad. Say hi to Merlot the parrot that hangs out in the lobby.

Lee F.

Yelp
The property itself is beautiful, and the staff during the morning/afternoon hours are fantastic. However, the night shift here needs a major retraining. There is a MASSIVE lack of communication between the night staff at the front gate and the staff front desk which cost us 70+ dollars. We got charged twice for overnight parking because we were dropped off at night by an Uber, and the rude attendant argued that my wife and I weren't guests so we'd have to pay for overnight parking. Our second night, we returned from Disney, pulled down our comforter to dirty, stained sheets. They were FINE when we left, we called to tell them and the girl at the front desk said it must have been my wife's makeup... SHE WASN'T WEARING ANY! We luckily found a super sweet housekeeper who was heading home for the day, and she came and helped us out. These things add up, and when you're spending $5k+ to stay here for five days. We've never experienced any issues at any Hyatt properties, so we're hoping this was just a bad week here in Orlando.

Bernadette P.

Yelp
We stay almost exclusively at Hyatt hotels and chose this one for its proximity to Disney Springs and the Disney parks.  They offer a shuttle that goes several times a day to Disney and once a day to Disney Springs.  I reccomend being early for your shuttle as it left several times before (maybe 5m) the posted time. The resort style grounds are massive and include all sorts of activities to keep you busy.  We requested a crib in advance and everything was setup for us upon our arrival. We stayed in an executive suite #1169/1171 the view was beautiful of the pool, lake and property grounds.  Mini fridge didn't get very cold so I wouldn't trust anything besides water in there.  AC worked well but we were happy to also have the fan. Bed and pillows were fairly comfortable but not quite as good as what I'm used to from other Hyatt Hotels.  My 10 month old loved Merlot, the lobby parrot as well as the very friendly gentlemen who walks around with him. Housekeeping was great and they even helped me to catch the lizard in our room - I have to say this was a first for me.  We also saw quite a few waterbugs on the grounds, in the pool and even by the elevators - maybe this is unavoidable in Florida but it was another first at a Hyatt Regency. The breakfast buffet is what I would expect from a Hyatt. It had great service and a lot of variety. I specifically loved the made to order omelettes and big selection of fresh fruit. We had dinner once at the lake house restaurant and it was very tasty. We really enjoyed the pool bar and ate there 3x during our non-park days - the bartender and waiter were excellent. My only wish would be that they stayed open later since the pool is open until 10p. They close around 6p early in the week and 8p later in the week. The market Is open until midnight and sells Starbucks branded coffee as well as a bunch of bottled drink and packaged snack options. The boat rentals are included in the resort fee and looked like a lot of fun however the staff told us that they do regularly see Alligators so it didn't seem like the best activity to do with young children.  This is the first hotel (of any Hyatt brand) that wasn't able to do a 4p late globalist checkout for us which was a bit disappointing as we planned our last day with the assumption that we would have it. We had a few hiccups but It truly is a beautiful property and will definitely return.
