I stayed here for a few nights and have to rave about the bartenders in the evening Billy & Daniel. They are so fun, make the best drinks & made my experience each night so memorable. Billy makes the best espresso martinis so definitely ask for him to make yours! For breakfast Ruben always was so friendly, and was such a great way to start my morning. Definitely go downstairs to get the food vs ordering it thru room service. I’ll definitely be back but can’t be happier with my experience with this team at this hotel!

I booked a room at the Hyatt in Greenwich as it was very close to a concert venue in NY that my wife and I would be traveling to on New Year's eve, which also happens to be our anniversary. The rate was surprisingly affordable, considering where the hotel is located and the date. Upon arrival, I accidentally parked in a place where I shouldn't have. Kevin, the Valet concierge joked about it but was very helpful. The hotel is beautiful, when you walk in there is a central soaring atrium that doubles as a restaurant. We approached the reception area and the young lady behind the desk went through the motions of getting us checked in. It was at that point she announced the $20 parking charge. While the amount isn't an issue, the fact that you'd be charged to park at a place where you're paying $200 a night to stay absolutely rubbed me and my wife the wrong way and we expressed our utter surprise to both the young lady and the bellman/concierge also present. Neither offered any explanation for this charge and in essence said you can pay to park in the self park or pay more and use the valet, that's the way it is. Unfortunately, this set a tone. We dropped off our bags, gave the room a cursory glance and found it to be a rather large room, quite clean and nicely appointed. Off we went to our New year's celebration. We slept well and enjoyed some TV on the 60" across from the bed. In the morning as we woke, we discovered that the bottled water that says "Complimentary" in bold type, is in fact not complimentary unless you're a member of the Hyatt Elite club .. $5 per bottle for you otherwise. I have been in less "luxurious" hotels where the parking is free .. as a matter of fact, I've NEVER had to pay for parking at any hotel I have ever stayed at. I've never had to pay for complimentary water or tea. While everything in terms of staff and visual appeal was top notch, I'd have to say that I would think twice about staying at a Hyatt without digging deep into the fine print to see what other charges might be hiding. BTW, there is nothing on the website which states there is a $20 parking charge.

This is a great Hyatt location. Convenient location, clean, nice staff. We’ve stayed here a couple times and it doesn’t disappoint. House restaurant has long hours and is reasonably priced. The atrium filled with live plants and foliage is inviting and comfortable. Gym is well equipped with cardio, tower, cables, machines, and up to 75lb dumbbells. The indoor pool looked nice but we didn’t have a chance to try it.

When having to stay overnight for all day business meetings near my company office in Greenwich, I've stayed at another hotel in the area. I decided to give the Hyatt a try and glad I did.||The property, specifically the atrium, is very nice and different from most hotels. Property is well maintained throughout. They even have a nice little movie theater in the place.||My room was comfy throughout with a good night sleep from comfy pillows and the bed. Temperature was steady throughout the night. I had a room facing out, so the noise was a minimum, but not sure how it would be if you were facing the atrium. The bathroom was modern with a stand in shower.||I'd be more than happy to stay at this hotel again next time I'm needing to stay over night.

Google
A blunt but fair assessment of our stay:||This Hyatt Regency is very nice. The central courtyard (atrium) is beautiful, and the rooms are modern, well-maintained, and clean. ||However, avoid staying here on weekends. We later learned from other guests that the location is a popular wedding venue. Sadly we found that out very quickly. The staff was overwhelmingly focused on the weddings and paid little attention to us or other non-wedding guests. You could see the frustration on other guests’ faces in the hallways and elevators.||||Our hope for a quiet meal in the atrium was impossible—the entire area was blocked off for wedding parties. We couldn’t eat at the restaurant, sit at the bar, or find any quiet spot to enjoy the space. The dining area was packed and loud, and the noise carried through the glass windows into our room overlooking the atrium.||||So much for a peaceful evening… or even room service. We had to leave the hotel to find food quiet and a enjoyable meal elsewhere.||The cafe down stairs ( deli) ( not the restaurant) had nothing but prepared sandwiches and meals in cold refrigerators as you would see at a local gas station convenience store. Shocked at that. ||At check-in, they gave us no attention beyond taking a credit card—no welcome, no mention of amenities or dining options. It felt like we were intruding on their wedding weekend.||||Parking was a nightmare. The valet was overwhelmed, so we self-parked and pushed our luggage on a cart a long distance. Then we were told to return the cart from our room to the back of the hotel because wedding guests—who weren’t even staying there—had taken all the parking spaces. Unacceptable.||We should have just checked out and demanded a refund. It was that frustrating.||Maybe it’s fine midweek, but avoid Saturday nights. Call ahead to confirm no weddings are booked.||As longtime Hyatt members who usually enjoy their high standards, this was especially disappointing. The only bright spot was our housekeeper—she smiled and asked if we needed anything. The only staff member who showed any interest in us being there.||We came all the way from Maui, Hawaii visiting the New England area. Cannot recommend this hotel on weekends. ||Or honestly not sure I would anytime due to the lack of hospitality shown toward all guest we spoke to who were not a part of the multiple weddings going on.

My husband and I were grateful to find a room last minute late at night, and I’ll say the hotel lobby is beautiful — but that’s where the positives end. The room itself was incredibly disappointing. It was dated and noticeably dirty, with debris on the floor, an old bar of soap left in the shower, fingerprints on the counter, and even a questionable white substance on the bathroom counter. For the price we paid, this was absolutely not worth it. I expected far better cleanliness and upkeep. We would not stay here again.

Google
Do NOT Stay Here – Disgusting, Unsafe, and Beyond Unprofessional The Hyatt Hotel in Greenwich is one of the most disappointing and unsanitary places I’ve ever stayed in. This hotel claims to be “luxury,” but there’s nothing luxury about it. The cleanliness, service, and management are completely unacceptable. The linen closets and laundry areas are left open for everyone to see, and they’re disgusting—mold and fungus on the ceilings, dirty towels on the floor, and an overall unclean environment. The carpets in both the rooms and hallways are filthy and clearly haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Trash, old blankets, and pillows are often left in the hallways for days without being picked up. Housekeeping is horrible. They don’t actually clean the rooms. All they do is make the bed and put out a few towels. The towels and sheets are often still dirty or stained, and the comforters are not changed between guests. The bathrooms have mold on the ceilings, the showers are dirty, and the air vents are covered in dust. The whole place feels unhygienic. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Housekeeping is loud, disrespectful, and makes guests uncomfortable in the hallways. The front desk workers have terrible attitudes, ignore concerns, and don’t take complaints seriously. Management doesn’t care at all—they only care about money, not the guests staying here. The restaurant is also a disaster. One worker, Susie, is extremely rude and unprofessional. She refuses to serve younger guests and clearly judges people based on whether she thinks they’ll tip. Her attitude toward customers is unacceptable—she makes guests feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and it’s obvious that the only thing she cares about is money. The only good part of this entire hotel is the bar. Billy, Daniel, and Riley at the bar are amazing—they’re respectful, hardworking, and actually care about guests. Also, George in the café is wonderful. He’s polite, helpful, and one of the only people here who seems to take his job seriously. Everything else about this place is a mess—dirty rooms, unclean carpets, bad service, rude staff, and no accountability. The Hyatt pGreenwich should be embarrassed to operate under its name. If you’re thinking about staying here—don’t. It’s not worth your money or your time. This place is filthy, unprofessional, and nothing like what it claims to be.

Google
The hotel is absolutely perfect. The only complaint I have which I feel is adequate, they charge for outdoor parking. There's no one Manning the gate at least when I was there and you park your car in this oversized parking lot, if the hotel is busy then you are parking quite far away from the main entrance and when you check out you are charged $23 for parking the hotel automatically assumes you have a car and therefore charges you for the outdoor parking I think this is excessive and I think that they should do away with this charge

Yelp
It's a very beautiful hotel. The hotel representatives were very gracious. The rooms were very clean. I'm not sure what size the TV was but it was huge. The beds were very comfortable, and it was quiet, just the way I like it. The lobby is decorated beautifully. It's like they brought the outside inside. It's very convenient for the city. I will definitely revisit Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich, CT. To all my yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world. #Foodie4life.

Yelp
Huge fan of this hotel. We were really surprised how high quality the rooms were given how reasonably the place was priced. Really spacious, clean, and felt almost like a resort. The one issue we had was that they accidentally added a charge for water bottles, which they were quick to reverse.

Yelp
Beautiful property and friendly staff. When you walk in, go left and reception will be in a little alcove (as well as The Market, drinks and small bites). If you have qualifying status, they'll provide water upon check in (or if you walk up) if they have any in their mini fridge. If you have applicable status, the in room water bottles are also free. Their elevators are a bit narrow (a couple with their golf bags and me with my suitcase were a bit cramped), and may take a bit to get to the floor. The decor from the lobby to the hallways and rooms is gorgeous. I highly recommend their room service, by far the best room service I've had so far at a Hyatt property. Their lamb chops were perfectly cooked, tender and crisp. The spinach dip was delicious with a nice amount of bread. And the bread pudding with the ice cream? Dreamy. All items were still hot by the time they arrived, which I imagine was quite the walk for the staff with how the hotel is spaced. So, why only 3 stars then? The walls are pretty thin, especially if you happen to be next to a connected room. The couple next to me was having a lively argument (thankfully they went elsewhere, otherwise I would've switched rooms), so if you're a light sleeper be warned. Cleanliness wasn't consistent in the room. The velvet chairs had enough dust built up to indicate they hadn't been cleaned (or used) in a while. The bathroom also showed some wear and tear with the ceiling showing built up surfactant leaching, and the hair dryer filter had built up dust. Dust was also built up on some of the in room electronics (like the clock/USB charger). I had opted for a late check out (2pm), but around 11:30am was woken by housekeeping who didn't have a list of which guests were confirmed for late checkout. All and all, I'll probably stay again if I'm in the area. I didn't have a chance to check out their new movie theater, if I return I will (even with adult evening prices being at least $25). If you stay, at minimum try out the room service!

Yelp
To start, the walls are so thin, I could hear people rollicking in the halls until 2am. I could also hear the toilet flush next door. The 80. Room service breakfast came with plastic utensils and paper coffee cups. The fresh berries were un ripe honey do and cantaloupe melon and grapes-the kind you find in the airport. No berries.

Yelp
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich for a night over a four-day trip through Connecticut. The hotel is massive - a rectangle of rooms around a large atrium. The atrium has a bar, but the rest of the space isn't utilized well. The room was pretty nice (large and well-decorated), but the bathroom had seen better days (there was tape around the air vent in the wall of our shower, which surprised me in such a nice hotel). Self-parking was $25/day, which was reasonable compared to a lot of hotels I've stayed in recently where parking can be as much as $70+ per night. The gym was pretty nice, but you go through the gym to get to the indoor pool, which meant that people were constantly getting wet footprints all over the gym floor when they left the pool to use the bathrooms that are in the gym area. The gym was also very humid and spelled like an indoor pool! The location was convenient but not walkable to anything (a Lyft to our dinner reservation was about $12-15). Overall, a fine hotel to stay at in the area.

Yelp
The hotel was super beautiful to start off and also the staff were super nice as well if we needed something they were there to help

Yelp
I attended a conference here on June 10, 2025, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from start to finish. We had originally reserved one of the hotel's main conference rooms for our event. However, just two months prior to the conference, we were informed that the hotel had unilaterally decided to convert that conference space into a movie theater, and our venue was moved to an outdoor tent. This last-minute change was entirely unacceptable for a professional conference. The tent was a completely unsuitable venue. It was positioned near a busy highway, and the constant sound of traffic, combined with the extremely loud industrial fan inside the tent, made it very difficult to hear the speakers or hold meaningful discussions In addition, the internet service at the hotel was extremely poor throughout my stay. Both in my room and in the conference tent, the connection was so slow that it was effectively unusable. I was forced to rely on my phone's data plan to tether just to access email and basic online resources, which was both frustrating and unprofessional for a hotel that advertises itself as a business venue. The problems continued in my hotel room. Despite never setting an alarm, the clock radio inexplicably went off at 5 AM, disrupting my sleep before a full day of conference activities. As if that wasn't enough, in the afternoon a major water main broke on the first floor of the hotel, flooding parts of the conference area with roughly a foot of water. Overall, the experience was far below any reasonable standard for a hotel hosting professional events. I would strongly caution anyone considering this property for a conference or business meeting.

Yelp
It was difficult to find the main entrance. During my visit, they were going through major remodeling, and didn't have many options for dinning or getting any kind of drinks. Only a room in the lobby which offered Inside dinning with very limited menu, closing at 9pm. Helpful and friendly staff. Great size rooms but, the ones that are facing their courtyard get limited natural light. Large parking lot with Tesla charging stations.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch is back! Basically it is twice a month, so not every Sunday. Plus special brunch options for holidays, like Easter, which was always a huge hit in our family. This is my personal review as a luxury travel expert. We are long time Fairfield County residents who remember brunch pre-Covid and earlier, 25 years in fact. It was glorious. We had brunch today at the Hyatt Greenwich for the first time since Covid and it was good. It was $100 pp without champagne or Bloody Mary's, which is pretty steep for a regular Sunday Brunch. But the food was good and we have a large family reservation of 10 for Easter. Our question is if it will be as good as Easter brunch back in The day. We are told that the Easter Bunny will be there and that there will be more food, but that's all we know so far. When I first started calling the hotel to make inquiries, not one person, including a manager, had any idea what the brunch would include, what was on the menu, or if the Easter Bunny would be there. I still have questions: live music, chocolate fountain, large fresh fruit slices? Sushi section with California rolls? I FINALLY got a call back from Gabe, an assistant beverage manager with some details, such as that the Easter Bunny will be there. The other questions weren't answered in my voicemail but at least someone called me back. It really is not okay for everyone who faces a customer or guest to not know about the brunch. I myself called the manager I spoke with back and told him that the Easter Bunny would be there and that he and his staff should be trying to sell this. They should have a sheet they go down with broad menu options (carving stations, charcuterie, fresh fruit, sushi, dessert options), price and anything else to sell another table. The marketing is poor. I was able to tour newly renovated rooms during a media event with the investment firm and the renovated rooms were stunning. It is not clear to me if the hotel is still under renovation and I have family flying in from California for Easter Brunch and they will stay overnight the night prior. I hope they will have an experience better than some of the reviews I've seen in the hotel since the renovations. The Atrium is gorgeous, as is the new grab and go stop at the entrance and billiard room, which is very cozy. It's all quite upscale and The staff is fairly attentive. The name Hopscotch for the on-site salon is immature, silly, dated and not befitting Fairfield County or Greenwich. But, kudos to the investment firm for having an on-site beauty salon. I don't believe there was one before the renovations. That's a great touch and I saw some people come out who looked superb. More thought needs to go into how the hotel is marketed to the very particular audience they want to attract, but I would say it's off to a good start with the Renovations and a really lovely brunch.

Yelp
I had no service, my WiFi wasn't working and television wouldn't change channels. My heater also wasn't working. Was there for a business trip which made it hard to work. I did call front desk and no one ever came to fix the heat. Very outdated space. But the lobby is beautiful and walking distance to shopping center.

Judi F.

Yelp
Mr. Nayyer, your response to the issue I stated in my review says it all! You can apologize all you want, but still no phone call to me from you to resolve it. Rather, a tone-deaf standard reply of "hoping to welcome me back?!" You've got to be kidding. And your reply to this addition is clearly a standard reply. The sincerity is stunning.

Yelp
My family and I have been going to Sunday brunch at the Hyatt for nearly 20 years, and were devastated to see it didn't return after the pandemic. Winfield's was a place where we celebrated major life accomplishments and holidays, it holds a very special place in our hearts. Upon hearing that brunch would be resuming, we excitedly placed a reservation for Mother's Day. The experience was terrible, appallingly so. The food was lukewarm, uninspired and was left sitting in the atrium for hours. The service was atrocious, drink orders were never taken, water glasses were never refilled. I hate to say it, but if this is what they are offering, they should've remained closed. The Hyatt Regency of today pales in comparison to what it once was. It has lost its luster.

Yelp
My 2 night stay in December 2023 was a good one. While the property is showing its age, they were beginning a property-wide remodel on the day I checked out. Upon arrival, the doorman and the front desk were courteous and helpful. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgrade to a suite, which was huge. The room was somewhat dated but clean and in good shape. Based on the remodel projection pictures, this hotel will be fantastic once the remodel is complete. I'd stay here again, even before the remodel. It'll be 5 stars once remodel is complete.

Yelp
The gardens are beautiful but the hotel is dated and the basic services like hot coffee in the morning are non existent. We stay here because it's conveniently close to our daughter's apartment, but I can't recommend it. Plus, there's always one trash can on the first floor by the elevator with overflowing trash. Always. It's kind of funny but I'm curious as to why no one seems to empty it.

Yelp
I had an professional developmental conference her to obtain my Certification Education Units to sustain my current occupational therapy license. Although, I didn't stay in the rooms, the hotel was beautiful and the environment was really relaxing. I would definitely come here just for a day or two to have a mind break. The staff were really friendly, outgoing and supportive to the professionals that attended the conference. The scenery was beautiful and really inviting.

Yelp
Really beautiful Hotel. I wanted to do a photo shoot in there. I took an actual picture just in the lobby. I go to the door and it automatically stated turning around for me to enter in. My group was ready, I ran dead smack into them when I entered. I didn't get a chance to get my photography on.

Yelp
On May 26th (2024), my daughter was married at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. The hotel is just coming out of a major renovation, and we were concerned about the timing of the wedding and the completion of the project. Although the Atrium is half complete, the hotel management and staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The service was exceptional, everyone from the valets to the desk attendants, to the bartenders and servers made the night special, and many of our guests came up to us to recognize the staff. We had over 100 people staying at the Hyatt, and our friends and family had only good thing to say about the hotel. The brunch the next day was excellent, and a great way to end a fantastic weekend. Looking forward to the completion of the renovation.

Rabeena A.

Yelp
Be careful to book here. The hotel lobby is under a lot of construction and the pool is being used as a swim school during the day with people coming in through the side doors. They don't appear to care for the patrons who pay a lot of money to stay there. Spoke to the front desk they apparently rent out their pool to the swim instructor and don't notify guests that they rent it out. I told them this is poorly executed because people pay over 200 dollars a night plus 25 in parking to share a pool with a swim school which they don't know till u go to the pool.

Dave M.

Yelp
Hotel is a construction site right now. Don't stay on the third floor, especially if you want to get any sleep or work done during the day (I'm working nights for NBC for the Olympics). Front desk staff not helpful or cooperative at all.
google avatar

Kay H.

Yelp
The Hyatt Regency Greenwich had kind helpful front desk associates but the quality is not the same as other Hyatt hotels in Florida and internationally. The lady at the front desk allowed an early checkin which I appreciated. The room was clean. Unfortunately the walls are so thin that I hear people sneezing and babies crying in other rooms. In the morning someone in an adjacent room set an alarm but did not wake to turn it off. Their alarm woke me at 6 am on a holiday.

Yelp
This was once a 5 star hotel but it has declined a bit in recent years. I have been staying here since 2008 whenever I've visited Greenwich and NYC, and I miss this hotel's "glory days" of pre-2020. It's still a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, and the lobby, with its plants and water features, is especially well maintained. However, certain aspects of this place that made it truly enjoyable and special have not recovered from the unfortunate Covid closure era that is long behind us. While I'm excited for the upcoming renovations, it's frustrating that there is no longer an amazing breakfast buffet or gazebo bar to enjoy while relaxing in the lobby. The updates to the pool and hot tub look very nice, but the hot tub was just lukewarm this time, and the pool appeared to be rented out to a swim school and a birthday party group both times I tried to enjoy it. This was never the case in the past. And while it's nice that this hotel now features a snack/coffee/drink shop, I miss the complementary coffee they offered for many years, as well as the option to sit by the bar and order a nice cocktail and an appetizer. I'm optimistic that with the upcoming renovations, this hotel will return to a 4 or even 5 star establishment in my mind.

Yelp
I wouldn't recommend nor stay here again. It's An old building an unfortunately not kept up with . The wallpaper is falling off and I can see the moisture on the walls. Hopefully the pictures I post really helps the next person . It's ridiculous to have such a big chain hotel in this area and REFUSE to take care of the issues . And I use the word "refuse" because it's obvious throughout the hallways of the hotel . The air vents are so easy to just wipe down but they don't even clean that.

John T.

Yelp
worst stay of my life! Room was filthy and hotel was under major renovation, room overlooked the construction going on. noise was a problem. most expensive room my entire trip. Manager on duty the next morning was rude and nonprofessional. Charged me for parking a $20 fee for a potholed decrepit parking lot that if I wasn't paying attention would rip the frontend out of my car. Spent the next night for half the price at a Homewood suites by Hilton, which was a an excellent experience and I highly recommend them.

Yelp
While the walls are on the thin side, their beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious and restrooms were perfectly stocked and clean, the stand out of the stay would have to be their breakfast omelettes - seriously one of the BEST I've ever had!! My husband and I ended up having them ordered every morning and even got other members of the wedding party to try them out for themselves and agreed. Definitely helped starting the day off with breakfast we knew we could rely on. Kudos to the breakfast chefs here! : )

Yelp
NEVER HAVE AN EVENT AT THE HYATT REGENCY GREENWICH!!!! This past weekend, my husband and I hosted our daughter's wedding reception at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. What a disappointment. Absolutely horrible. When we signed the contract, we were never told that the hotel would be under major construction. We were outright lied to about where our cocktail hour would be. Hyatt had an obligation to disclose that there would be major construction in the lobby before we signed the contract. Our cocktail hour was in the back of the hotel lobby, in the middle of the construction. It was difficult to get to and no one at the hotel directed my guests. There was dirt everywhere and construction dust in the air. The food at both the cocktail hour and reception was either burnt or cold. Our guest gift bags were thrown in a small room down the hall from the temporary check-in with other conference/guest gift bags. No one was even told they were there. If you were one of the lucky guests who noticed the small "gift bag room" sign in the hall and popped your head in, then you got a bag. Your staff were unhappy, uninformed, unhelpful, and outright rude, especially the bar tenders. You would think that the staff would go above and beyond, since the hotel was under construction, but they simply did not care. There was an uneven transition from the hallway to the reception tent that was not properly tapped or highlighted. One of my guests tripped and fell, injuring her arm. Your staff did nothing, even though it happened right in front of several of them. They didn't even help the guest up. We were never even offered the simplest of courtesies or compensation for our all our disruption. Charged full price for substandard service. How dare you. Absolutely disappointing and a complete embarrassment for my husband and I at our daughter's wedding. Hyatt should be ashamed and outraged. I will never have an event at a Hyatt again. Very Unhappy Customer!

Yelp
Had a wonderful stay mid-week at this hotel. It was a shame the bar and restaurant weren't open. Would have loved to have a cocktail overlooking the beautiful lobby. Rooms are on the smaller side, but beds were VERY comfortable, the room was extremely clean and was quiet for the most part. We ordered room service and it was fast, and the vegetable soup was amazing. Salad and burger were great too. Pool was very clean. Salt water which we love! Did not try the gym, but it looked clean. Upon arrival I was swiftly taken care of. Thanks for helping me get a room (as I was alone with two kids), earlier than I anticipated! Also thank you to the manager Ian, who not only helped me with my bags but personally checked on us later in the stay. Wonderful hospitality from him. Thank you also for bringing me a bell cart the next day. We will certainly be staying here again!

Peter S.

Yelp
we stayed July 2024. Heavy construction on the weekend. our room on the 3rd floor is shaking from the construction on 4th floor and atrium. no restaurant only room service that cannot be enjoyed because of level of construction going on. we brought our 6 month old who is unable to nap because of level of work going on. Manager said it was 3rd party booking agent fault for not notifying us. Staying here ruined our family wedding weekend. This hotel should have been closed for the renovations. This cost my family a lot of money and was not an enjoyable stay at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND! J house down the street has similar prices and much better atmosphere

Yelp
I wanted to stay in Old Greenwich but the hotels were so astronomically expensive that we had to go a little bit further and ended up here. Booked via a third party, roughly 260$ total for 1 night stay. And that price was definitely beyond reasonable. The whole lobby is a greenhouse -gorgeous and so relaxing. Front desk, I believe his name was Andrew? and his female colleague were so helpful and simply pleasant to speak with. They answered all our questions and gave us great dinner recommendations. The room itself was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Strong water pressure and great smelling shampoo/conditioner. Unfortunately, bar was closed when we came (June 2022). Hotel only had room service so that was disappointing. I just recommend you grabbing your own alcohol from the liquor store down the street. Great location and decently priced.

Yelp
Bad service; management definitely needed some re-evaluation. Personnel here not knowing what they're doing. Doorman just hanging out. Room is haphazardly cleaned. Eww. On the few positives, indoor courtyard is nice especially during the cold season (January 6, 2018).

Yelp
When you think of a Hyatt in Old Greenwich this is what you think of. The lobby is like a conservatory with a stream running through it. They have a cafe and a bar in the lobby that the stream runs through. It is kind of relaxing when you just chill out there. The staff there also gave me a complimentary water bottle as well. It was a kind gesture. The food in the lobby bar was ok. I would definitely eat here again. It is a little pricey for lunch but whatever. I didn't stay here overnight only judging on the lobby and my time here. The only negative is that you have to pay for parking even though they look like they have ample space. Kinda weird but it is Greenwich. Overall, it is a cool hotel and I would definitely come back to stay.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful no matter what the season is. There is always something going on at this hotel. The noise isn't terrible and it is a comfy stay always. There are confusion when it comes to parking and prices there but everything else at this hotel is superb. The hotel is best for business travelers. There are many things for travelers to do. Business center, fitness center and lots of other things. This hotel is best for large parties and events. I remember having my high school prom here years ago! If you are ever in Greenwich and need a nice place to stay I'd suggest staying here!

Yelp
Great escape from NYC. Visiting the pool at late or early hours is the best. Will definitely come back..the only thing missing is the restaurant which I was told it is being renovated! I knew this going to the hotel and it was still extremely enjoyable. The staff was also super nice and very attentive.

Yelp
I stayed here on a Friday. night at the bargain discount rate of $220 for one night. For $220, I received 2 queen beds (pretty comfortable, good pillows), a bathroom, two bars of soap, some body lotion, one water bottle that I hope was free because I drank it, and 4 Keurig pods that I took home. The room was very basic so I assume the money goes to the really nice lobby and the free coffee in the lobby in the morning and the 70" TV that's comically large for this mid-size room.

Yelp
I'm staying right now at a Motel 6 in Nashua, NH which is THE worst place I've ever been in. My daughter plays lacrosse and it brings us ALL over the place. Anyway back to this Hyatt. My sister was in Greenwich hospital last year for a few days. I'm from NJ. I looked for hotels close to the hospital and this turned up in my search. This place is beautiful! The girls at the desk were awesome as I checked in and then out two days later then back in again....we had a few laughs. I didn't eat a meal at the hotel but there was a little store where you could get snacks and WINE. I had many long phone conversations updating family on my sister's condition while sitting in a comfy chair in the lobby which was like sitting in a rainforest. Very CALMING. The room was clean and comfortable! I don't know if it was the stark contrast between the beautiful hotel which I could have stayed in forever and Greenwich Hospital but in my situation- this hotel was the perfect spot to escape those days. I can't believe it took me this long to write a review but here it is and it is GLOWING.

Yelp
One of the WORST hotel experiences I have had on this planet in the last 10 years. The place blows. Terrible. Ice machines don't work. Restaurant is closed down. No bar. You might as well pitch a tent and camp on the side of the road. Any amount spent on this is total BS. I would not stay here again and at this point any Hyatt. I head a group that had 6 rooms here what a complete waste of money!!! They basically find you suck too Find somewhere else. This place is a complete dump. If they truly cared about service and customers they simply would have shut down as they are incapable of providing service of any quality. They do not have enough open to be open. Essentially they are asking you to suck up their terrible management and simply eat it. DONT. Just stay somewhere else and never here. I waited an hour for ice that was on its way!!! I finally went to the desk after midnight and was rudley brushed off by the front desk. The same ones that promised service. They suck. Big time. Stay somewhere else. This place is a bombed out shell who should be ashamed of charging us anything above a Motel 6 rate. In fact I truly wish I was at a Motel 6 tonight instead of this toxic waste dump. I'll posted pictures tomorrow to prove it! Maybe even a video.

Yelp
When staying in a Hyatt I don't expect Four Seasons' levels but when words like dreary and depressing come to mind someone needs to take a look at what's happening here. First off, the room we had was a King room. It was oppressively warm and the cooling system was not able to get the room comfortable for several hours. The bed linens were thread bare and had small holes. The furnishings in the room were deplorable as we had one hard wooden chair, no sofa or a decent chair to sit comfortably in. The staff was trying but when your late night staff tells you that the vending machines should be checked on every floor because "people mess with them" you need to do something. The layout of the hotel allows for one elevator bank at the end of the building which meant that we had a long walk down a hallway littered with trash and take out bags. Not good.

Yelp
A huge hotel; four story with center atrium geared for meetings, conventions and weddings. At the time of our stay, none of the dining options were open. The rooms are comfortable but not cozy. Huge TV. Our room faced inner courtyard.

Yelp
ALERT ALERT THIEVES THIEVES WORK HERE!! September 23 I checked out of this hotel with what seem to be a great staff trying to help me find my iPods I could see they were in the hotel somewhere but could not find them -as I was driving away to catch a plane the front desk called me and said please come back! One of our guests had them and they've been returned. We have them for you. I could not. I was going to catch a plane and they instructed me on how to set up left behind on Google. The lady on the phone talk to me through it told me she had it and then it would be in the mail that week. Once I got home and got settled, we had an extensive 12 day vacation to the East Coast about 1 October. I called back to make sure that they had been sent out that day. I was told they had another staff change and they would go down and make sure somewhere in housekeeping where there is some sort of lockbox that they were there -called me back to see that they were there and if they'd be in the mail. Situation in November was hey what's going on? -I have a gal on the phone that tells me she's brand new and that she is going to find out what the situation is. Never got the call back- call back to the front desk where a girl was extremely sweet and said she was terribly sorry, but that she was going to go down there herself and make sure that my iPods got put in the mail. . Now, this last week they have put up another new employee (are you following this?) fesheka or femsheka- I didn't write it down I'm not messing up the name to be rude.-I never kept the names before, because I believed this was a Hyatt of which I stay in all the time-but this time I got the phone call that there are no AirPods of mine anymore at this hotel. And now, three months later, she says to me with all the audacity in the world, she doesn't know that they ever had them -when it was the very front desk from the beginning, and two other employees who have them in their hands, told me how to get them sent to me, and this company failed me. They will fail you. Do not take anything worth any money. If you do, you were on your own because they will not give it back. The hotel was a nice day, but as I can see from other reviews, they are going downhill fast . And they're thieves. And that is sad- I asked will you be replacing them- you literally called to have me come back to get them- -she said she didn't work there then and they would not be replacing the very iPods they have promised for months to return- SAVE YOURSELF PLEASE

Yelp
If this app would allow me, I'd score this hotel minus 100 stars. My best advice to you is do not pass go, and do not collect $200 - you'll just be angry. My frustration started when I checked in. There were two front desk attendants and slow would be a compliment. It took me over 15 minutes to get checked in and I have no idea why the agents were spending so much time getting people processed. I finally checked into my suite, an inward facing room overlooking the lobby. It was LOUD because there was a huge event going on. Then I discover that the bar and restaurant are closed, and will be for a year! But don't worry - they have a temp bar. But don't bother trying to order anything. The Asian attendant does not know how to pour a double on the rocks, but she can charge you for a double! They can't mix a drink because there is no bar! They only offer food delivered to your room - now mind you - even the hotel doesn't call it room service. Everything is in disposable containers, with plastic ware - but they still charge room service prices, plus a delivery fee, and then they request a tip. And god forbid you need to call the front desk from your room. The hotel has an auto attendant. However the system does not work as she cannot hear you. After a minute she asks if you're still there and she will "hang up so you can call back!" Heavens forbid that you have an emergency because the auto attendant is just going to hang up on you. I've stayed at this hotel a lot over the last 15 years. And I've always thought this was a good property. No more! This place is a $&@&show. Stay away. Ignore the favorable room rates. They do not care about service. They do not care about resolving issues. I called the front desk on Thursday to discuss the telephone situation and was assured a manger would call me. There was no call back. And if you get an email from Sherry Hicks-Buckles. Throw it away. She doesn't care either, despite her lovely email welcoming you to the property and giving you her "direct line" should you encounter a problem, it's worthless. Lastly, Friday evening threw me over the edge on disliking this hotel. They're a large event hotel. They had at least two large events on Friday night. As I left the hotel at 3:15 pm for a meeting, the hotel staff was blocking off the front part of their parking lot for event guests, forcing those of us paying for parking and staying at their hotel to park at the rear of their lot. It was pouring rain. Tell this hotel cares about their guests and I'll see you ocean front property in Nebraska for cheap! How sad - another wonderful hotel reduced to crap. I'd highly recommend you find other more service oriented properties. This one has become another tragic loss to the industry.

Yelp
I had a great stay at this Hyatt. The hotel staff were welcoming and accommodating from check in to after we checked out. For check in, we were welcomed with hot apple cider and apple cider donuts. After we checked out, I left something very important in the safe and the staff was great about mailing it back for me. The staff really just made this stay, they were so great. The rooms themselves were a little outdated, but very clean and comfortable with soft sheets and comforter. The lobby is fun and cool with gorgeous trees.

Yelp
Went here for a two-night stay for a business meeting. The rooms are large and clear. The bathroom is current, but not modern. The facility is large. The rooms have relatively sparse add-ons. You get waters for free but there is not even a coffee maker in the room. The hotel has a good bar and breakfast place. The restaurant and bar service is on the slow side, but the food is OK.

Yelp
Booked a hotel w/ a deep soaking tub for my birthday. my husband and I got to the hotel & it was beautiful, we checked in & went up to the room. Once we entered the room I went to the bathroom and it was definitely not what I reserved, it wasn't a deep soaking tub as they showed online it was just a regular tub like the one I have at home. I went down to the front desk & told them and he said that's what they considered a deep soaking tub & that everyone complains. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND FALSE ADVERTISING.

Yelp
Luxury Hotel? Looks are deceiving. I made in-room coffee only to find a packet of "whitener" of the kind that one would expect to get in the cheapest single-star motel. So I went to the lobby to find some real creamer. Despite there being setups visible for a number of meeting events, all were roped off. "Sorry, no coffee service is available for guests!" OK, no problem, I just want some actual cream for the coffee in my room. "Sorry, no creamer for guests. You'll have to get it from room service." Of course my coffee would have been ice cold by the time room service arrived, so I gave up. Next I sat down to spend a day at the computer and discovered that the desk chair is broken. I called the front desk and asked for a replacement chair. "Yes sir, we'll send someone right away." An hour later there was no replacement chair delivered nor did I get a callback, so I called again. The response: "I'll contact Engineering but I have no idea how long it will take." So I rolled my chair down the hall until I found a room being cleaned, and switched my broken chair for a good one. Oh, and the light-blocking window curtain was broken, but I wasn't about to waste any more time trying to get that fixed!

Yelp
Just terrible, The bar and restaurant were closed and they don't let anybody know how shut down the hotel is, Everything else in town is open. There's tons of vacant rooms and they gave us one of the Worst rooms in the hotel, small dark and unappealing and extremely far away from the elevator. We have always enjoyed all the Hyatts we stayed at across the country and this has to be the worst Experience we've had with the Hyatt hotels. Very disappointed. Find a different hotel

Yelp
Pros: The room is nice, the lobby is beautiful. Big tv, clean mirrors. Good storage. Cons: The towels had stains and the curtains were also dirty.

Yelp
This hotel is very dated - dark and dreary. I am surprised they have not renovated it. There aren't many options in Greenwich- I guess that is how they get away with it. Only one elevator bank which was super far from my room. Housekeeping came at 9:15AM and walked in without knocking. Will not be staying here again.

Yelp
I've been staying here for years time did you make it right, so let me start off by saying that, but I shouldn't have to ask them to make it right because it should be right from the get-go... This time is what really pushed me over the edge. So the last time I stayed there was an extremely large group of unsupervised children in the pool and we ended up leaving as a result because that's why me and my daughter go. She's disabled and the pool really helps her but with a packed full full of unsupervised children giving no regard to anybody else in the pool, we were forced to leave. I got my points back and ended up coming back this past weekend and actually getting to suite which I thought would be really special for her. Upon arrival, I was told that the room is not ready even though it is check in time and they were going to add another connecting room which I thought was a Fair deal. In the meantime who went to the connecting room that was ready and my daughter and I sat there with our Jaws dropped because he could hear the housekeeping through arguing in the room next door . After a little over an hour, the room was ready and I called up the front desk to ask how to access the other connecting room and they said there is no other connecting with. I told them what the woman at the front desk said and they put a manager on who was nice about it but you told me that's not the case and this person already left so he'll talk to her... Well that sucked. Then I go check my bank account and to my surprise it shows that $100 was deducted for incidental and when I called the front desk they told me that it's $50 per room. That really would have been nice to know. Especially seeing as though that room was not ready until an hour plus after I checked in. And was offered another connecting room only to be told no and might I add about the additional connecting room and she said yes that is the case... So normally it's a hole but this time it's taken so long to get my charges back. I called it the front desk this morning and was told that it takes 7 to 10 business days whereas the last person I spoke to when I was inquiring about the $100 charge, I was told three to five business days. On top of that the suite was not sweet... Yes it was an extra room which was nice but why is all of the furniture tore up? This is the Greenwich Hyatt in Greenwich connecticut. If I wanted some half-ass room with some half-ass furniture I would have gone to stay at La Quinta or some three star hotels but I'm staying at the Greenwich Hyatt... What. The. Heck?! I've already told my daughter that's the last time we're staying there. There's pools elsewhere and now the atrium is covered up so who knows what's happening with that... I was told they're not getting rid of the atrium but I was also told it was going to be 3 to 5 business days and now it's 7 to 10 business days. I was also told that the suite was going to be nice but I had ripped furniture so quite honestly I really don't have any faith in this place anymore... It's not what it used to be. It's become trashy and the front desk staff don't know their asses from their elbows...

Yelp
We came for a one-night visit and were pleased with the facility and friendliness of the staff. My only complaint is lack of breakfast. (If you're going to charge guests for parking, at least throw them something to eat in the morning.)

Yelp
We had a great experience at the Hyatt this past weekend. It was a beautiful nice clean hotel. Marie, one of the managers was amazing- she helped us find a phone we had accidentally left. She was super helpful and clearly makes guests a priority. The only challenge we had was from the valet team who runs the courtesy van. We got a complete run around story about the shuttle that was to take us back to the train. The valet team said one thing and the front desk said another. It was confusing and very unclear. Finally one of the valet guys helped us instead of telling us there was not a shuttle. Overall, the experience was very good and we would come back.
