I recently stayed at the Hyatt REGENCY in Guam and overall, it was a pleasant experience that I would definitely recommend, with a few minor caveats. First and foremost, the service at the hotel was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights for us was the ample and completely free parking—an often-overlooked amenity that made our stay much easier. The location of the Hyatt is also a significant advantage. It's conveniently situated close to a variety of restaurants and nightlife options, making it easy to explore the local scene. After a day of adventure, we loved being able to unwind at the beautiful beach right in the back of the hotel. The pool was a fantastic spot to relax and soak up the sun, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it a joy to spend time there. Now, onto the room—it was clean and comfortable, but admittedly a bit outdated. While the air conditioning was fantastic (and much appreciated in the Guam heat!), the overall decor felt older, and the shower was quite small. That said, I loved the view from the balcony, which added a lovely touch to our stay, and the bidet in the bathroom was a nice modern convenience. We did encounter a slight snag upon arrival; we got there at 3 PM, yet our rooms weren't ready. They offered us a drink voucher while we waited, which was thoughtful, although it was only valid for one person. A small gesture that could have been improved with a little more consideration. In summary, the Hyatt Guam delivered on service and location, and while the rooms could use some updating, our stay was overall enjoyable. With a beautiful pool, beach access, and nearby dining options, I would rate my experience an 4/5 I’d certainly consider returning for another stay!

Rooms are well maintained, the beach right outside is one of the best on the island. There are some other hotels that are also “on” the beach, but those are in rocky or more rougher areas. This is one of the best. All rooms have ocean view. This hotel is also a GREAT use of club access. The global breakfast buffet is phenomenal, and the evening cocktails/snacks are amazing.

As a frequent business traveler, I’ve stayed in numerous hotels, and I can confidently say that the Hyatt Regency Guam was a huge disappointment. I booked what was supposed to be an “ocean view” room, but the reality was far from what was described. The ocean view was heavily obstructed by a large concrete wall, blocking the majority of the ocean. The remaining view was a sliver of ocean, but most of it was dominated by the adjacent building of the hotel itself. It honestly felt like I was staying in a room with a view of a construction site, not a tropical paradise. The hotel’s description was misleading and failed to mention this massive obstruction. I had specifically chosen this hotel for the ocean view, but it felt like a bait-and-switch. If you're booking for a beautiful view of the ocean, DO NOT expect to get it here. This was the most frustrating part of my stay, as I had been looking forward to unwinding with a nice ocean vista after a busy day of meetings. To add insult to injury, when I brought this up to the front desk, the response was underwhelming. It’s clear that they are aware of this issue but don’t seem to care. I’m honestly disappointed in the lack of transparency and customer service at such a well-known brand. I will not be returning to this hotel again, and I would caution others to thoroughly check the room layout before booking.

We came for New Year's Eve and the hotel was quite busy. This did not stop the staff from helping us get into an upgraded room with a stunning view of the marine preserve. We also asked for extra pillows and glasses and they were cheerfully delivered. The wait staff at NiJi Japanese restaurant was very friendly and helped us get some keepsake photos. Complimentary oysters and ikura were served at our table. It was a filling and tasty meal and we had a nice time touring the festive hotel lobby and grounds. As World of Hyatt members, General Manager Sophia Chu sent us a nice bottle of Cabernet wine as well, which was a wonderful surprise. In all the staff was helpful and very friendly and we saw 2025 in nicely. Lovely time at the Hyatt.

Google
This hotel is in no way up to the standards of a Hyatt Regency. The staff was polite and courteous so credit where it is due. The facility was more of a Holiday Inn than a Hyatt. You’re in the island so fine. The dining was less than a one out of 10 went to get the buffet found out. It wasn’t open till 7 AM. I had a teetime so could not eat there. Had to saddle for some microwave noodles from the deli at 10:10 I go back to have lunch as I didn’t get a good breakfast. Turns out the restaurant closes at 10 and it was back to the deli so I ordered room service after 43 minutes of waiting. I called the front desk who tell me it can take an hour to get room service Very very very much less than acceptable. Save your money or stay someplace else.

I had a great stay at the Hyatt Hotel. The check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The fitness center and pool were excellent. The location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. Overall had a great experience.

Google
The views are amazing from the lounge area. I was also impressed with the standard suites it made my 30+ night stay much easier. ||||Overall, the experience wasn't bad. When the hotel wasn't busy the staff were excellent. When it was busy the staff seemed to have disappeared.||||And don't expect to get your coffee fix reliably at the hotel.

Google
I did a group booking and was shown king size beds with newly renovated rooms. When we showed up was not at all what was given. We were told breakfast would be included guess what they forgot that also. They did make the breakfast right only because I proved it was guaranteed. The rooms were old outdated paint was bubbling in the hallway and the vents were rusted this hotel is a great show at the lobby but once they get you and check you in it’s a bunch of lies.

Yelp
Thirsty Thursday at the lobby lounge...$5 Carabao Brewing Beers, some good beers, attentive and friendly staff and some tasty pupus.

Yelp
Back at the Hyatt Regency Guam! Why did I return? The customer service that I receive from reservations and throughout my stay is absolutely 5 stars. The staff here is ALWAYS warm and welcoming. And if you stay here often enough, you gain perks as a globalist. Then the stay is even greater... breakfast buffets, club access, room upgrades. Thank you Hyatt Regency Guam for giving me a home away from home. Will I return? Most definitely.

Yelp
The best hotel via my travel from Honolulu, Saipan, The view amazing. The water was clear. Loved the ocean the view was amazing. My go to spot.
google avatar

Yelp
This hotel has black mold throughout my room and in the ventilation. I also saw small bugs at the entrance in my room. I noticed it the second night I was there and checkout out the next day. The Deli also has mold on the ceilings which is clear as day and they still were serving food and drinks to customers! The biggest issue is the ventilation which is central AC so they are basically blowing a biohazard throughout the entire hotel!

Yelp
What a lovely hotel! Situated right on Tumon Bay. Beautiful white sand beach with turquoise water. The pool area is phenomenal! Great little poolside bar & restaurant. The room I had was gorgeous. Very large with 2 queen beds in it. One was marked soft & one marked firm. I'm normally a soft bed person but chose the firm bed figuring the air conditioning would blow more on it. And it did. I had to get up in the middle of the night to raise the temperature. The firm bed wasn't too firm either. It was just right with great pillows and linens. Great bathroom with a separate tub & shower. Nice toiletries provided. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion. Also provided disposable razor, Q-tips, shower cap, slippers, robes and a sewing kit with the needles already threaded (Love those!). Small fridge in room, hot pot for making instant coffee & tea provided. Loved the alarm clock as it had USB charging and you could also lay your phone on top of it to charge. Didn't visit the gym. Looked at menu for restaurant & there's a cute little coffee shop with sandwiches and other treats available. Opted to walk down to The Jamaican Grill for lunch and had leftovers so that's all I needed to eat. Highly recommend going there. Good Wifi service. Never got dropped. All staff I interacted with were very pleasant. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Much better experience than the other hotel I originally checked in and much more organized. Upon arriving, they were quick to set up a room for me at the hotel. I didn't have to wait. Although it was pricey compared to my first booking, the rooms are kept cleaned and had all the amenities I needed. The rooms looked fresh and well maintained. No cockroaches roaming the room as well.

Yelp
We have stayed here a month while our house is completed. Hotel is pretty good but a little dated. The island thrives on tourism, but I felt like the Japanese and Koreans were a little rude and entitled with their ways. Like it is "their" island and they aren't guests. Restaurants are very expensive, be prepared to spend $80 on breakfast for two people. They do have nice facilities but could pay more attention to the fountain and pool area. House keeping needs a more attentive supervisor to make sure rooms are cleaned, especially when requested. We loved Ryan at the front desk, so helpful and sweet.

Larry L.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible guest services and house keeping. Stay 7 nights and they only cleaned the room once. Had to ask three times for towels on the other days.

Yelp
This review is about Cafe Kitchen. I have gone to CK maybe 6 times in the last 3 months since getting my PHR membership. Most of the waitstaff are attentive and efficient. One, however, is a little too talkative, which can sometimes be a bit annoying when my husband and I are just trying to enjoy our date night. It's a minor inconvenience. Regarding the food, all the dishes I've tried are not as tasty/exciting as the prices might suggest. On one occasion, the complimentary breadsticks were dry and stale. On several occasions when trying to make reservations, no one answered from CK when the front desk forwarded my call to them. I would give CK 2 stars, but there's a reason I keep going back. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful.

Yelp
I love the Hyatt brand so I might be a little biased. This hotel has been here for 20-25 years now and it has seen better days and better creativity when it comes to their interior decor. Let me just say: location! location! location!! Perfect in every way!! The pool area boasts different alcoves and slides (outdated in comparison to the newer hotels) but still has one of the best locations on island. The beach is only steps away from the pool / bar area and sunset views are priceless! The lobby bar now has live entertainment (actually some play until 10 pm I believe) and it seems that more locals come here for that in comparison to tourists. Just a great place to enjoy dessert, coffee, tea or light snack. The entertainers are talented and play a plethora of cover music and it's not unusual to see people get up to dance. But then again, only on Guam. Excellent customer service from the pool / bar area as well as the lobby bar staff. Everyone here is super nice and quick to check on refills or to clear the table. **Free Parking!

Yelp
Almost as if they tried to put us in the best possible room ever. The view from night to day is breath taking. Perfect scenery! Anyway, the service, cleanliness, and security are up to par. Such a fantastic experience. My #1 favorite hotel on Guam!

Yelp
Do not come here if you are not with kids. It's is way too geared to families with children. This is not the place to stay for more active vacation goers without kids. There are many pools, but none of them are adults only, so there are always kids in every area of the pools. No swim up bar in any of the pools. The hot tub is tiny and constantly had kids in it. The hot tub and most of the pools close at 7pm. And the main pool closes at 8pm. So if you are looking for a dip after dinner you are out of luck. The pool side bar/grill also does not open until 11am. In fact no bars at the hotel open until 11am. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are nice with great views. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I am sure if you are older and have kids this hotel is perfect, but for people without children it's just not the place to stay. Most of the problems I have with it are easily solved. Hopefully the GM figures it out.

Yelp
I was supposed to stay here for 29 nights, but ended up staying 1 night. Almost everything about this place was unsat. 1st thing that went wrong... when I called to inquire about booking my stay I asked what their policy was on microwaves because I was able to get one in my room at the dusit thani. The lady kindly informed me that I just have to request one. I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOOKED HERE IF I KNEW I COULDN'T GET A MICROWAVE! 2nd thing that went wrong...The day of check in I called ahead of time to request a microwave. The man tells me that I'm not allowed a microwave because it is a fire hazard. However, there are public use microwaves on certain floors and that he would change me room to a floor that had a microwave. I told him that was fine. 3rd thing that went wrong... I check in and go to my room. I scope out my floor for the so called microwave and ice machine and can't find it. So, I call the front desk to ask about it. The lady tells me it is on a different floor. I then explain to her that I was supposed to have been moved. She does accommodate and moves me. She has a worker come deliver my key for my new room to the room I was at. 4th thing that went wrong... I grab all my luggage and go to the new room. The key doesn't work. So now I'm stuck in the hallway with all my luggage. And both of these rooms were FAR from the elevator. I call downstairs and get put on hold for 10 plus minutes. I call again and tell them I'm stuck I'm the hallway. No way was I lugging all my crap down there and back up. The man brings me a key and it works. The room is clean. There is a weird smell. The view is alright. The 2 things I did like about the room was that the water got hot for a hot bath and the bed was very comfortable. 5th thing that went wrong... I didn't get a wink of sleep! I wad here for work and needed a decent night's sleep and that didn't happen. The lack of sleep was what pushed me over the edge. I was gonna suck it up for a few nights, but just couldn't do it! The doors were slamming all night long. I could hear the guys heavy metal through the wall. There was some sort of drip that never stopped coming from the bathroom. Definitely not coming back here if the dusit thani is available.

Yelp
The Hyatt Regency Guam has really become so much better during the COVID era. The newly remodeled rooms are excellent and the pool area is clean and stylish. But the high point of the hotel is the staff. Polite, attentive, friendly. Every interaction with every staff member was five star.

Chenoa A.

Yelp
BEWARE. BED BUGS This place is sketchy in every way. Way too over price in comparison to Dusit which is right next door. THEY HAD BED BUGS in the room the managers gave us to replace the room that had a mattress that smelled of urine and sweat. I talked to multiple managers and they admitted to using the same old mattresses after renovation. The patio furniture is spray painted over from a long time ago. There was someone else's hair in the shower before I even got to use it. Managers would dance around the issues I would talk to them about directly. It was the worst place to dump my money. horrible experience I would have saved so much money sleeping on the street instead

Yelp
Christmas brunch was absolutely delicious. The chef's creations were amazing! Entree of lamb was perfect! Kenneth was a very good server!

Yelp
Great location and right on the beach. Grounds and pools are very nice. Rooms could use some updating but Hyatt hospitality makes up for it. I had a room with a great view of those beautiful Guam sunsets. I stayed two weeks and was able to go to all the restaurants that were delicious.
google avatar

Lawrence W.

Yelp
Hyatt rarely disappoints. Sure, it's pricey and a little dated, but the luxury, privacy and quality is still there. The restaurants are all top quality, and the pool area is the largest among its neighbors. Because Hyatt is wide, so it covers a good space of the beach, which is beautiful. It's so shallow that you can wade out into the ocean quite a ways before it becoming deep. I knocked a star because it is in need of an update for the price offered when compared to other 5 star hotels around the world...

Steven D.

Yelp
Less than half the rooms are renovated but cost the same it's luck of the draw where you end up. Hyatt is stingy with points granting depending on how you book. Restaurants are way overpriced just walk up the street to any of the local restaurants instead of paying them more. My job forced me to this hotel so that reason is enough to not gain points for Hyatt rewards despite Hilton and Marriot being good to me over the years. They say it's a corporate decision but come on really? Even with all that just the simple answering the phone at the front desk is too difficult for them it just rings. If you're visiting Guam stay somewhere else it's just not worth it.

Yelp
Staying here for a short two day and three night weekend several weeks ago for a cousin's wedding, I found the Regency a fairly average hotel. Initially wowed by how extravagant it looked from the exterior, lobby, and other public areas, I was slightly taken aback by the sharp contrast seen once you got to the individual floors and rooms, where everything looked somewhat dated, if not even a bit dirty. Other cons included: - A/C in the rooms only went down to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and had a weak fan, which led to humid and stuffy rooms that also smelled somewhat musty - No free wi-fi in the rooms, with some rooms even lacking paid internet access. We had to head down to the lobby to access the free wi-fi, which, most of the time, was slow enough to be unusable - All their ADA bathroom toilets were far too elevated from the floor. While I can understand that this makes them easier to transfer into, it also makes it harder to sit on stably - Their breakfast buffet is pricy (around $20-25 if I remember correctly), with somewhat limited options Pros: - Quite a few swimming pools in the back, as well as their own little section on the beach - $15 (I think) will get you all-day long access to any of the equipment on the beach, including single and double canoes, and several varieties of water bikes - The ocean-facing view from the upper floors is fantastic - Service throughout the hotel, from the front desk to random employees in the hallways was great Each night in our two-bed room for three ran about $180 before tax. Given the shape of the hotel, I feel like this was a bit high, but much of it is probably due to the location. If I ever find myself back in Guam (Hawaii is MUCH closer to me), I'll probably give one of the other hotels in the area a try instead.

Yelp
I was working an Army contract and had to make a fast trip to Guam back in the summer of 2015. My international travels usually have me staying at Hyatt properties. I enjoy Hyatts and this one was no exception. Overall the Guam Hyatt is a lovely property, albeit a little dated in places such as the room, and a few spots that could use some cleaning and painting. But overall it is mostly clean, quiet and has an amazing view. The staff was friendly and attentive. One evening they had a traditional fire-show, that was quite fun to watch. I actually enjoyed having a bidet on the toilet, so that was a new experience too!.

Yelp
I've been here 6 nights & not once did we get housekeeping service. I asked the front desk last night what was the housekeeping policy. She said when you check in you will be asked how often you want your room cleaned. I told her I was never asked that question when I checked in. She said I'm sorry. That's unacceptable!!! The room should be maintained regardless. Even an average motel provides housekeeping service and this is the Hyatt??? What a disgrace and poor representation of the brand. Never again will I stay or recommend the Hyatt - it's a JOKE. Anywhere is better than this.

B B.

Yelp
An absolute joke. This place has been great in the past, great pool, great access to the beach, but currently, that's where it stops. The lobby is beautiful, but don't be fooled, the rooms are nowhere near that nice. There is mold in the air vents, the rooms are outdated and not maintained. The caulking is peeling off of the bathroom walls, the shower door doesn't close, the floors are consistently dirty. Housekeeping is terrible, they "don't have time" to clean the rooms, yet they swear up and down that they are able to support daily housekeeping. I considered asking if I could borrow their supplies so I could clean my room myself. I'd be fine, post-covid, to understand that demand exceeded staffing and every other day cleaning was to be offered, or something along those lines. I'm happy to work with the service industry during these times. However, this was not the case. Housekeeping simply just does not come. I tried ordering room service, after three hours and three phone calls later, I cancelled the order. The hotel has certainly taken a downturn, which is too bad, because I really liked it. If you can stay elsewhere, do. This isn't up to the quality of a Hyatt Regency. I hope they can turn the hotel around. It's a nice property and the rooms are a nice size, it could be great.

Yelp
Love this place and definitely will be back! Great location and staff are very friendly. The balcony view facing the ocean is such a gorgeous sight. Ambience of the hotel makes you feel so relaxed and joyful inside. This is definitely an excellent place for tourists with kids or couple going on a honeymoon. I would have given this a 5 stars but the room i got needs work and some renovation. Aside from that, i shall return!
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice hotel, the outside was very beautiful with all the gardens and pools. The breakfast was very good also, with a lot of options. I think I even seen make your own soup, which I didn't try as I wasn't in a soup mood for breakfast.

Yelp
Hotel is exquisite, staff is amazingly hospitable, kind and helpful. Perfect location in majestic Tumon Bay. If you want to have events in Guam this is your perfect location. 5 Star from start to finish and ask for Jane Koo she is top notch.

Yelp
Stayed here for 6 days. I really enjoyed my time here! Booked it at the last minute so it was a bit expensive (plus, it was the US military training exercise week so nearly all the hotels in Guam were fully booked). But I was in Guam alone, and wanted a place that was safe and convenient. The Hyatt lived up to these expectations! The service here was excellent! There's plenty of staff around, all very friendly and ready to help. Ask them for recommendations on places to visit/eat at and be prepared to have a whole conversation on their choice picks! I was able to get umbrellas, send postcards, get a taxi without any fuss. There was only one incident where my room was skipped for cleaning on the first day, but this was quickly resolved with a phone call to the service desk. I got upgraded to a suite on the 11th floor and the room was HUGE. Huge bedroom with a desk, TV, in-room fridge (strangely enough, it was empty) and huge balcony. The toilet came with a large bathtub, separate shower area, japanese-style bidet toilet bowl and separate closet area. Temperature/fan speed of the air-conditioning could be adjusted. All rooms in the Hyatt have a fantastic ocean view with a large balcony. In-room wifi comes at a fee, but just register for the Hyatt Gold membership on arrival and it'll be complimentary throughout your stay. Pool area was fantastic, if you have kids you MUST bring them here. There's a wide variety of pools- jacuzzi-style, basketball hoops, slides, waterfalls- it's amazing! Pool towels are freely available as well. But the highlight has to be the beach. For a fixed fee (can't remember how much, but it was reasonable) you have unlimited access to all the stuff they have to offer - paddle boats, kayaks, snorkels etc - for the whole day. The sand is nice and soft (though I later learnt that it's because the sand is imported from Australia). The bay is pretty shallow (you could go out a 100 meters and it'd still be just waist deep) and the water's EXTREMELY clear. You can see fish swimming around your feet right at the shore! And the hotel has its own parrots! What the heck! On sunny days they bring them out to the beach and you can have photos taken with them perched on you (refer to profile photo). The location of this hotel is also wonderful, it's right at the start of the main shopping district (where the high-end shops are) and very convenient for walking around at night. Would stay here again when I'm in Guam!

Yelp
This is where I stayed for my business trip out to Guam this past month. Unfortunately, it wasn't too great. But the trade show was here, so it made it very convenient to stay here. Problems: - Dirt. Yes, this hotel is very dirty. While the lobby downstairs and shops are immaculate, once you ascend up the elevator, it seemingly turns into another hotel. The hallways were dirty, with stains on the carpet. Often times trays from room service would be sitting around for a full day or more. - Maid service. When I strolled back from the show a couple of times after 5pm, my room still had not been cleaned. To me, that is just unacceptable. - Minibar. They said they'd charge me $15 if I didn't want the items in the minibar. Groan. Positives: - Room was in decent shape as far as cleanliness was concerned. Not great, but not as dirty as the hallways. - The people at the front desk were always very nice and professional. - The pool is nice and the beach is just right outside. - Rooms have a nice view overlooking Tumon Bay. Maybe next time I'll try the Hilton...

Yelp
From the outside this hotel looked amazing, then I stepped outside the lobby. It was $150 for a night stay (military business), so I expected more than what I got. The staff was always professional and courteous. As I walked to the elevator I saw two hookers just hanging out, Guam standard. Then as I walked from the elevator to my room I noticed there was no air conditioning in the hallway and that the carpet in the hallway was completely stained with random stains. I walked into my bed room, which was very big. It had a giant tub, shower, double bed, and a gorgeous view of Tumon Bay. I noticed the carpet, chair, lamp shade, curtains, and pretty much everything else was stained with random stained. I went to the bathroom and noticed there was still fecal matter still around the rim of the toilette. I called the front desk and told they didn't have any other rooms, and that the maids weren't at work yet. I took a shower and noticed pubic hair in the shower. There was no wifi, just an ethernet plug in located on the desk. The air conditioning in the room worked pretty well. There's a mini-bar, however it was pretty pricey. I would never stay here again. I would recommend the Outrigger or the Westin, both of which got much better reviews.

Yelp
I haven't actually stayed at this hotel but used the pool and beach access behind the hotel. The pool area was amazing. It had maybe 3-4 pools, some with slides and basketball hoops. My family and I had lunch poolside and all the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Service was a bit slow but I think it's because they go into the hotels to get the food orders. We ordered the family platter which comes with tortilla chips, two mini sliders, two half club sandwiches, fish/chicken strips, egg rolls, a large bowl of ramen, a large bowl of fries, a shrimp Caesar salad, and 4 scoops of gelato. The quality is just OK but for $50 it was a great deal. Kept us full and had leftovers to take home. The hotel also has beach access and we loved it. Clear blue water and not too rocky. We had a great time and will be back!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay here. The pool area is fantastic, and the hotel is very nice. Big spacious rooms with huge tub area. The toilet even had a bidet. The pool restaurant and bar are alright, but if you want more bang for your buck the strip offers lots of food and bars.

Falcon J.

Yelp
High expectations came up short. The lobby, gym, restaurants, and stores were all pretty nice. Cafe Kitchen was newly renovated. Our room needed a good cleaning. The chairs were heavily stained, shower had dirty grout, sink faucet was also dirty, the air vents had a good layer of dust. The highlight of this hotel is their pool area. Great for kids!

Yelp
Not my preferred chain, but a nice hotel and we have run several conferences here. The staff does a nice job and works hard to meet your needs. The rooms are a little small, but nicely appointed. The location is very nice for walking to meals in the evening and allows for great access to Tumon Bay.

Yelp
Updating review from over five years ago. Giving this three stars instead of two. Rooms still in dire need of remodeling. Coworker staying on fifth floor found a large mushroom growing hallway which isn't the first time a coworker found a mushroom growing in hyatt hallways, which to me reflects the poor upkeep and cleaning. Perhaps not such a great idea to have so much carpet in this hotel because of the climate. Hyatt Regency Club has been overtaken by korean families on vacation which is quite annoying thus I call it the korean day care. Saving grace of Hyatt remains the staff and customer service. Also, every room has an ocean view. Compared to other Hyatt Regencies and based on condition alone it probably is the worst. If I wasn't a hyatt whore I would stay at the Westin which has less korean families which tend to be loud. I'm unsure if Koreans know how to whisper. Miss the days when tourists here were primarily Japanese ie much quieter and polite. I imagine the condition of the hotel is compounded by the owner which is not the Hyatt. They just run the place. Hyatt should require them to better maintain the joint.

Yelp
I expected so much more from this hotel. I was told that I wasn't allowed to check in 30 minutes early so I ran some errand and arrived around 1630 to check in. I was then told that my room wasn't ready for me and that I had to wait. After the receptionist fiddled around with the computer for about 20 minutes she was able to get me another room. As I walked up to the room I noticed that the carpets looked HORRIBLE, like a college kids co-op dorm room, stained and had a faint smell of mildew. When I arrived at my room I noticed that my room key wouldn't work... go figure. I went down to the front desk and then again had to wait in line where a second person took my name and asked "are you aware that your room was changed".... It took a lot to hold my frustration in but eventually they gave me the correct room key. The room overall was not too bad, clean sheets and decent bed. The room had a bit of humidity so it felt wet and cold though. The one thing that really stood out to me was when I was leaving the next day and was waiting for the elevator. Something caught the corner of my eye... there was something in the carpet by the baseboard... as I looked closer to examine it, IT WAS A MUSHROOM growing out of the carpet. That was the last straw in terms of quality of this hotel. I would not recommend the Hyatt to friend. I know this is Guam but you could do so much better Hyatt... leave the gardening to the farmers.

Yelp
Loved this resort!! The hotel was clean and beautiful!! The pool led right to the white sand beach!! The staff was friendly and very attentive. Came back to our room every day with goodies left by the hotel, cookies, fruit and wine! Happy hour on the 12th floor, all you can eat and drink! We will definitely stay at the Hyatt again when we come back to Guam!!

Yelp
So sad this Hyatt in Guam. Used to be the word Hyatt meant 'class' but not so here. I have sat in their lounge many times, working on my computer or reading a book while I sip a cappucino. But this evening, I was practically shooed away by the server, who said that if I wasn't going to order I will have to hang out in the deli. I was distracted as I was setting up, but I said I always order when I am there, and I have been there many times, and the deli has no socket, and she said there is, which is untrue. Then she gave me this spiel about their policy, which should not affect me, because to me it was always common sense for me to order and not "policy". Then she said that she hoped I 'understood', then I told her that I hope she understood that some customers take time to decide what to order. Then she said she could give me 20-30 minutes? What is this, a timed lounge? If she could give me that much time to order, why didn't she just give it from the gitgo, and not this spiel? I tried to stay, but I was so turned off. It was so disrespectful. I thought of ordering a to-go coffee in the deli instead and sit at a waiting room. but by then I felt the coffee would taste horrible because she had left a bad taste in my mouth. So I went to the HIlton, which is always full of people, unlike Hyatt. I was always attracted to the quiet atmosphere in the Hyatt lounge, because of their lack of patrons, but they can't capitalize on the few that come. I thought of writing to the Hyatt management, but by the looks of the reviews here, bad service seems the rule, and management probably doesn't care.

Yelp
The hotel staff was average. However the washing machine was broken but not marked in any way so when i washed my clothes and waited for an hour and came back my clothes were un-washed. I contacted the hotel staff and was not allowed to speak with the manager. Then was told that the hotel would refund my money but that i would have to go to a different floor to try to wash my clothes again with no guaranyee that the machines on the other floor would work. Extremely dissapointed and now i must find a laundramat somewhere...

Yelp
Very impressive, about the only negative thing I saw and I admit it's being picky was that the carpet was worn and dirty but otherwise the place was awesome! And the price was reasonable for the quality.

Yelp
this place was horrible the shower had what appeared to be months of soap scum built up on it. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The shower door was missing the seal at the bottom and would flood the bathroom every time I took a shower.

Yelp
Recently had a stay here that was planned for 11 days. Upon returning from work on the second day at 4:45 pm, I entered my room and found it hadn't been cleaned yet. Walked down to the front desk to request immediate room cleaning service, which I was assured would happen. An hour later, nothing! Ended up checking in to the Hilton. Got my survey in the mail a few days later and expressed my dissatisfaction....fully expecting some sort of response from Hyatt. Crickets so far. Why, why, why are surveys used and not responded to? Especially when a competitor gets business handed to them that Hyatt had in the bag. Sometimes things happen, but I will not put up with apathy.

Yelp
This is the best hotel on island. In our first 6 months on island my wife and I tried them all. Best service, best rooms, best restaurants, BY FAR best pool and beach access. Maybe it has been re-done since some of the older reviews? But we love the Hyatt.

Yelp
I was here on business ... and there really isn't a business center ... and this is a Hyatt! I needed some material printed and was told there was a printer in the coffee shop. It wasn't really adequate for what I needed.

Yelp
I'm surprised to see the poor reviews... we are here now on a staycation. We have an incredible view out of our 4th floor room. Looking directly at the sunset. (room 421) The pools are FANTASTIC! Clean water, lots of places to swim and explore. Awesome kids pool area that is covered. The beach in front is the best in all of Tumon Bay - basically shell free and sugar white sand. The other beaches are rocky or not very clean. Our room isn't spectacular, but it is clean and slightly modern. The carpet needs to go (the Guam Reef had tile flooring throughout). And yes the carpets are spotted with bleach stains and dirty. The bathrooms are clean - just weird that it opens up to the rest of the room. The TVs are small, but who needs a big TV when we are staying at a place with this many pools?? :) Room service is definitely not up to par with the many other Hyatts I've stayed at (Diamond Member). But they at least added color and nice touches to make it seem worth the money that is spent on room service. The beds are comfortable too. It is centrally located so we can walk and get dinner and lunch elsewhere (try Dr Kabobs just a 3 block walk to the right of the hotel - amazing food!). Overall we will stay here again.
