19 Best Hotel Brunch Buffets in Hong Kong

"The Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Sha Tin, located about halfway between Central and Hong Kong's northern border with China, is a welcome escape from the downtown skyscrapers. If you find yourselves nearby, it's worth stopping for a meal at Cafe, a buffet-style restaurant in a modern, open-plan room overlooking a verdant lanscape and Kau To Shan mountain. The chefs have taken the greatest hits from cuisines the world over and put them together in one buffet. Start with salumi, salad, chilled crabs and scallops, then move to sashimi, grilled prime rib and sausages, Cantonese barbecue, and so on." - Kate Springer, Janice Leung Hayes

I had a wonderful pizza on the a la carte menu, pepperoni with mushrooms and pepper. The pizza at the cafe is quite well known in the buffet, so I ordered a whole pizza to myself to satisfy some craving. My friend’s Singapore fried noodles are good. On a weekday afternoon it is quiet and we could relax and chat away the whole afternoon in a dining hall full of natural light. The atmosphere really was perfect and would do this again.

Perfect place for a quick breakfast to start the day or a professional but maybe slightly opportunistic business meeting. They have a make it yourself Vietnamese noodle bar and breakfast foods from around the world.

A place that I would always visit for buffet whenever I visit Hong Kong. Buffet is one of the dining cultures in Hong Kong. There are many different places out there, but I would always like to come back to Hyatt Regency Shatin. Cafe, which located at the lobby, is very spacious. I like the consistency their food and service. Price is reasonable, and they offer senior discount. Great place for a family gathering. Snowcrab legs, scallops, prawns, conch, sashimi, sushi, roast beef, lamb rack, abalone, fish maws, and a very long list to go on. There are variety of choices of western foods and Asian cuisine to name a few. Roast beef and duck liver toast are dishes that one cannot missed. They aren't only serious on the food quality, they care also the plating. Yes. it is a buffet, but there are dishes that the chef would ask for your plate, and place the food for you with garnish. It is amazing. The section for desserts includes different kinds of cakes, pastries, ice cream, crepes, fruits and candy. Perfect location for a big group. Will definitely go back.

Onion soup is tasty and filling. Onion is nicely caramelized, sweet and soft, strong onion flavor. Cheese toast on top is a good addition. Burger is beyond expectation, the presentation is average, the bread looks dry and plain. After my first bit, I am surprised by the patty which is juicy and meaty. The spaghetti bolognese is nice, Al dente texture is my favorite. Minced beef is fresh with strong meaty flavor.

Have stayed away from Cafe at Hyatt in Shatin for the past few years after a couple mediocre meals in 2015 and early 2016. Stopped by for lunch recently and was happy with the buffet this time around. Opening hours 6.30-11pm. You can order a la carte at Cafe but basically this is a buffet based restaurant, focusing on breakfast, lunch and dinner settings. Breakfast and Lunch are reasonably priced for the food items available. However, dinner prices are quite high for their buffet. During my recent meal, the salad section and grilled meats were top choice. Lamb chops were nice and the pizza slices surprisingly very good. Sushi counter was good, less fresh than I like but decent sushi overall. There are a nice variety of desserts and espresso machine to wrap up a pretty decent buffet. Seating area is spacious and generally very nice. I like the large glass walls that allow plenty of natural light into the restaurant. Service is attentive and polite but do show their inexperience at times. Overall, it was a good, not great buffet. Felt fine for the weekday lunch price being charged. Worth considering if you are staying at Hyatt or in Shatin area and looking for a buffet lunch.

Spacious, relaxing environment. Dinner buffet is great. Wide variety of food which are high quality. Food refilling fast. Love the grill bar most. The dessert also great! Price is a bit high but sometimes they got special offer, so still value for money.

Doesn't have as much food variety in comparison to other buffets in my opinion. However they still offer a decent blend of Asian and Western cuisine. Food quality isn't very consistent. Some dishes were bland or were tough to chew, while others tasted great.

The Christmas afternoon tea tea is ok but I expect a bit more creative twist in presentation and taste comparing with other luxury hotels such as Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, W Hotel and Intercontinental etc. One of the dessert in glass didn’t match any utensils on table for use.. I think it isn’t thoughtful enough for the guests experience. Staff service is ok.
