Hyatt Regency Mexico City – 5-Star Stay in June 2025 (Guest of Honor Award Night Redemption)|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️||We stayed 5 nights at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City in June 2025 using 57,000 Hyatt points through a Guest of Honor booking, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.||We were given a club-level room with access to the Regency Club on the 40th floor—and the club was easily one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast was diverse and plentiful, there were snacks and drinks available throughout the day, and a full dinner buffet was served every evening. The views from the lounge were spectacular, and it was never crowded. There was always plenty of food and seating, and the staff kept everything perfectly replenished.||Our room on the 38th floor had amazing views and was impressively quiet and clean. We slept so well—super comfortable bed, great blackout shades that kept the room blissfully dark, and the room was totally silent. One thing that stood out to us was the lighting: unlike many hotels that are too dim, this room had multiple lighting options and switches so we could adjust the atmosphere exactly how we liked.||The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay, which we appreciated. The gym was large, well-equipped, and overlooked the pool area. I also had a fantastic massage at the spa on our first day—such a relaxing way to start the trip.||Service was outstanding across the board. Every staff member we encountered—from the front desk to the lounge staff, concierge, and even management—was warm, professional, and went out of their way to be helpful without ever being intrusive. It felt like true five-star service.||We were also surprised and delighted to receive small gifts left in our room on multiple days, including a box of chocolate truffles, a bottle of wine, and a handmade artisan keychain—a thoughtful and personal touch.||The location in Polanco couldn’t have been better. We loved walking around the neighborhood—so many great restaurants and shops—and the hotel is just minutes from Chapultepec Park, the incredible National Museum of Anthropology, and the zoo.||Overall, this was one of the most rewarding redemptions we’ve ever made with Hyatt. The value of 57K points for 5 nights with club access, breakfast and dinner included, fantastic service, and a perfect location in Mexico City was unbeatable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend it without reservation to anyone visiting CDMX.

Just perfect!!! Arturo the bell boy couldn't be better. Same as the staff at the front desk. Rooms are amazing! The restaurants have a lot of food variety and very decent prices. And the amenities as well! The spa is great!!! I will always go back there! 100% recommend.

After some initial hiccups with our room, our stay at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City turned out to be wonderful. Once settled, we had a spacious room on the 43rd floor with sweeping views over the city, definitely a highlight. I would often spend the early evening after exploring just sitting by the window and enjoying the view with a book. ||The Regency Club lounge was a great perk. We had breakfast there every morning and enjoyed drinks and snacks in the evenings. My teenager particularly loved the chilaquiles for breakfast and the variety at dinner time. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming. A little Spanish goes a long way here, so brush up if you’re not fluent, it definitely helps with smoother communication.||The location is convenient for exploring Polanco and beyond. We mainly used Uber to get around, which was easy and affordable, though traffic in Mexico City can be intense, so plan accordingly.||We also had a nice lunch at Rulfo, one of the restaurants, the tacos were surprisingly good! One day I had a minor stomach issue, and the staff kindly provided medicine and even brought it to our room. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out.||Do note that some rooms that would otherwise have a park view may currently be partially blocked by nearby construction. But overall, I’d happily stay here again for the comfort, service, and views.||Note: the basic suite has a window between the bathroom and the bedroom in front of the shower, which you might not want if traveling with friends or your teen as I was. We switched to the next level up which has a half bath and fully enclosed bathroom.

This has to be the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Somehow this hotel has managed to gather the nicest, kindest, most helpful and most welcoming people in the world to work here. From the moment we checked in, we felt we had a home in Mexico City.||We upgraded to club level at check-in and I cannot recommend this highly enough. What a fantastic experience. The breakfast and evening meal options are divine and the nicest people take care of you. I wish I could live here. If the people working at the 40th floor club have any worries or problems, you wouldn’t know it. They are ever ready with a smile and a positive attitude to make sure you have everything you need. ||The rooms are wonderfully well-appointed and so very clean. Yes, they have also managed to hire the best housekeeping team in the world as well!||I have stayed in hotels all over the world. The Hyatt Regency Polcano is my very favorite. Muchas gracias, we are so grateful for the five days we spent here. We are so sad to leave and cannot wait to come back.

We had a fantastic stay here! The rooms are clean with modern amenities. Location is convenient to Polanco, but easy walk to the anthropology museum and the park. A huge benefit was the club lounge, which had beautiful views and a nice selection of food. Would love to return here in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely excellent—close to everything we needed and perfect for exploring the area. The restaurants inside the hotel were all very nice, offering a great variety of quality food. Service throughout our stay was excellent; the staff was consistently helpful, professional, and friendly. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely stay here again.

An exceptional Hyatt, with two fine restaurants on the ground floor, comfy clean room, attentive staff, fast multiple elevators (6 or so) so you never have to wait more than 30 seconds, nice cafe on the ground floor for coffee and snacks, tons of help for anything you need, fine concierge dept. An example of the nice staff is that I wanted to use the mini fridge for my own beverages, and they even sent someone up to empty it of items for sale, like drinks and food, so I could use the whole thing to put in my items, never had that service anywhere before. Also a very classy neighborhood. In short, it was a fine base to explore that giant city for the first time, thanks Hyatt.

As an Asian guest, I did not feel equally respected compared to white guests at this hotel. Whether during check-in and check-out, at the Club Lounge, or when requesting a room change, I consistently experienced cold indifference rather than attentiveness from the staff. Despite working in the Club Lounge every day during my stay, not a single staff member greeted me. I had to ask for water multiple times, and my requests were repeatedly ignored. In contrast, I observed white guests being welcomed proactively, offered drinks — including alcohol — and treated with far more warmth and attention. While the hotel appears to have undergone recent renovations, many of the facilities still felt dated. The room was small, and the one I was initially assigned had a malfunctioning fan, so I requested a room change. Guest Services transferred me to the front desk, but no one answered the phone for over 30 minutes. I had to call back, and they promised to return my call with a room update — which never happened. After another 30 minutes of waiting, I walked to the front desk myself. When I arrived, most staff members appeared to deliberately avoid eye contact, pretending to be busy with their laptops rather than helping me. A simple room change ended up taking nearly two hours, and I never received an apology from anyone. I honestly couldn’t believe I was staying at a hotel that claims to be five stars — and under the Hyatt Regency brand, no less. To be fair, the hotel has its pros: it’s in a convenient location in Polanco, with a metro station just outside, and the Globalist benefits were well-recognized. The Club Lounge also serves dinner until 9 p.m. But those features alone don’t make a hotel worthy of five stars — the service does. And unfortunately, the level of service I experienced fell far below that standard

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to stay in D.F. (Mexico City) I recommend staying in Polanco. This location is an excellent choice since Polanco is the Beverly Hills of Mexico City. Clean, beautiful, & peaceful. We stayed on the top floor (43rd) & it was spectacular & spacious! When you stay in the higher end rooms you have access to the lounge with complementary food & beverages. The hotel has late night room service, walking distance to the auditorium for concerts & other shows, restaurants & bars just outside of the hotel, the pool is okay, & the gym is prime. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting D.F. & I can say whole heartily - you will not be disappointed. The Japanese-Mexican food restaurant downstairs was delicious! There was another restaurant that we did not try out & wish we did.

Yelp
Beautifully renovated with modern furnishings and breathtaking views of Paloma, Mexico City. Immaculate housekeeping, well equipped gym with sauna, multiple restaurants onsite, and great food and shopping within walking distance.

Yelp
Stayed here for 6 nights total. Overall, a nice place to stay especially with Hyatt points, but a few things that keep it from being amazing. Pros: - Mentioned during booking this stay was during my honeymoon. They provided a bottle of champagne and some baked treats from the bakery in the lobby. It was a very nice little gift. - We had a guest of honors award from Hyatt so were able to get a room on the 38th floor higher up and get access to the lounge on 40th floor. It's a nice lounge with good views and solid breakfast and dinner snacks, but felt a bit just like being in a nice airport lounge. - You can chat with staff via WeChat which was nice and room service was generally pretty prompt in getting us stuff. - There's a 5k/10k run that meets Wednesday morning in the lobby that does a nice run around the park when things are quiet. - Rooms themselves are extremely quiet. Cons: - The hotel is massive and hosts a ton of guests. You'll run into a mixture of local professionals there for conference to people on vacation. As a result, things can get really overcrowded. For example, the gyms in the morning are absolutely packed especially in the weights area so it can be a bit difficult to actually use the space. - Location is in a pretty fancy part of Mexico City, but wouldn't necessarily say it's close to many of the exciting parts tourists would want to go to besides the park and the big fine dining restaurants (I.e. Quintonil/Pujol). I thought it was fine, but maybe not where you'd want to stay if you want to be immersed in the culture. You'll find you're ubering a lot out from this location. - Small nitpick, but one of the lights in the room seemed to keep flickering on and off. It was hard to tell if it was motion sensored, but was annoying since it was in the bathroom and wouldn't turn off until after a little while. Still, not mad at all with my stay here. It's a nice hotel especially if you have Hyatt status or book with points. Solid option, although I'm sure there are cheaper ones (if not booking by points) or nicer/fancier ones (i.e. four seasons, ritz, etc.).

Yelp
Great gym. A little bust in the mornings but mostly empty in the evenings there's a machine for every muscle. Plus there's an indoor pool.

Yelp
We are Hyatt Globalists so our experience may be a little different than others. This was our second visit to this hotel. We were booked into a suite on the 10th floor. Upon entering our suite we were impressed with the beautiful design, layout, lighting, and color scheme. The bathroom was very large and luxurious. The king size bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and bedding. The suite was spotless and housekeeping excellent. The Regency Club Room had excellent service and breakfast and cocktail/dinner items to choose from. One of the best of all the Hyatt Regency Clubs we have been to. Service was excellent here as well. Overall this hotel is 5 star. An excellent experience.

Yelp
I have had multiple issues!! 1) hair in the shower in my first room before they moved me. 2) asked for a wine bottle opener one hour later called back and they finally brought one. 3) asked for the mini fridge to be opened so I could store left over fish 45 minutes later called back, still waiting!!! Would not recommend

Yelp
Fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel in a fantastic City. This hotel was our home base for our week vacation in Mexico Family with extended family. It was perfect for us. It was super comfortable, in a easily walkable neighborhood, and easy to do everything! Our rooms were wonderful, clean, comfortable beds, huge bathrooms, and abeautiful view! Staff was helpful. The indoor pool was a good size, warm temperature, and nicely bright! A really great pool! We were glad to swim most days after exploring! This hotel was surprisingly family friendly because it felt super fancy! We travleed with grandparents, an adult sibbling, and 2 parents with a 6 year old. Everyone was happy here and everyone had a great time in Mexico City. If you can keep an 80 year old and a 6 year old, you can probably keep anyone happy. We paid extra to be on the Club Floors (to use the Club lounge) and that was well worth it. We had the breakfast in the Club lounge everyday, and it was fantastic every day. Tons of choices: lots of fresh fruit, multiple flavors of yogurt plus toppings, oatmeal, multiple bread/roll options, chilaquiles, guacamole and chips, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese options, salad, vegetables and refried beans, some kind breakfast sausage and potatoes. Fantastic breakfasts. We also ate dinner at the Club lounge most evenings: usually 1 kind of meat, multiple options of small sandwiches, multiple cooked vegetables, a couple of salads, some type of pasta, multiple bread options, usually 3 delicous looking deserts (I always picked the chocolcate one and it was always one of the best deserts I've ever eaten). The hotel is a couple of blocks from the Auditorio subway stop, and easy to find from the stop. We walked to the Chapultapec Zoo, and walked to a fair amount of the park (it's an ENORMOUS park). There are several restaurants in the lobby. The gym looked big and nice (some day I'll go to the gym while on vacation). The tennis courts looked great! Small annoying things: Mini-bar: The small fridge was stuffed full of things for sale. I'd much prefer a usable mini-refrigerator. We crammed in our small containers of leftovers, but it wasn't easy. Elevator needs room Key: I think this might be a Hyatt Regency thing. But it's annoying to tap your room card for your floor every time you use the elevator. The blanket was thin, and pillows were super thin. I kept forgetting to ask for more. Overall we had a great stay. My 6 year old declared a few days in that we should come here every year, and stay in the same hotel.

Yelp
We stayed here on the 35th floor for 3 nights over Memorial weekend.  Our room had a great view of the city and included access to the lounge on the 40th floor. It is perfect for breakfast before our sightseeing each day and also to relax with drinks and snacks when we get back. There's this small concha buttery bread you must get if you have breakfast here.  The only downside in our room was the blanket is very thin and our soap pump did not work in the shower.  Couple times we called the front desk they were busy and did not answer the phone. Eventually we received the extra blanket and another bar soap delivered.  Polanco is situated in a very nice area, I saw William Sonoma, JW Marriott and the W Hotel nearby.  However I did not see a 7-11 or Oxxo convenience stores until we ventured further out into the city. Since I'm a Hyatt member I was able to request late check out till 2pm on the last day. However since our flight home was so late, I requested till 4pm for an additional $60 USD.  The hotel is about a 10 mins walk to the Chapultepec Park and the Anthropology Museum. Overall I would stay here again.

Yelp
This review comes well after my stay (May 2022), however, it is still worth a go. I am planning on going back to Mexico City and I would most definitely stay at this location again. Let's start with the positives - in one of the city's nicer areas, it was very walkable and my hubbs and I were able to walk most places in the neighborhood. We walked to a local wine shop, dinner a couple of nights and there was even a mobile Covid testing clinic, literally steps from the entrance. We stayed on one of the upper floors (20s) and I you see from my pics, we had a great northwest facing view of the neighborhood. Neighborhood: Starbucks, a less-than stellar Mexican restaurant across the street (Karisma), quaint wine shops, farmacia, cafes, art galleries, quickie marts Check-In: For those Americans scared to go to Mexico City because of the language barriers, no worries, there were bilingual front desk staff. I was also happy that they were willing to change a few of my higher denomination bills. Room: The room was relatively spacious - king bed, two nightstands, small desk, TV, drawers and decent sized closet. The restroom had a great enclosed shower and great lighting. Room Service: Room service prices were not that bad - hubbs and I ordered a hamburger and other random snacks and surprisingly, the bill was not super crazy. We bought a bottle of bubbly locally and we were even given a large ice bucket to chill it down. Gym: The great thing about this hotel was the extensive spa/gym level - it opened early and being vacation, many there was multiple (about 20) pieces of cardio equipment, many free weights and several weight machines. There was a dry sauna and plenty of lockers to house all of your things. Showers were limited, but no worries - go upstairs to your room and shower. Transportation: We easily called cabs, Ubers and a Tesla-rideshare company to the hotel - luckily, the hotel was located relatively close to where we wanted to go and all rides were very reasonable Service/Housekeeping: Housekeeping was always on point and in fact, we never really saw the cleaning staff, yet everything was very tidy - this is the mark of a well-oiled machine Complaints: Our room was located at the end of the hall and apparently right next to the service elevator - aaarrggghhh! This was a noisy annoyance but I don't think this completely dismisses their other pluses

Yelp
I usually stay at the JW Marriott in Mexico City, but the JW's rates skyrocketed recently. So I decided to try the Hyatt. Overview: Good value, clean hotel, good staff, but a bit noisy with some frustrating room quirks Arrival: arrived by Uber from the airport, very helpful doorman Checkin: efficient check Room (Room 3315): For a standard king room, spacious and properly equipped. King bed, chaise lounge, mini-coffee maker, all the normal items. Mini-refrigerator stuffed full of things for sale. I'd much prefer a usable mini-refrigerator. Bed: average bed and linens. Frustrating detail- lights behind the headboard were constantly on. I had to stuff towels behind the headboard to get any sleep. Sleep quality: The insulation between the rooms is a little thin. I could hear the neighbors "going at it" late at night as if they were in my room. Bathroom: Shower only, spacious with good lighting Housekeeping: above average Internet: used the basic wifi option that was free. Speeds were not fast. Internet speed test indicated 17.9 Mb down and 15.7 Mb up. Gym: large gym Pool: small indoor pool Restaurants on site: I had a good breakfast at Rulfo Overall value: above average value Tips: (1) There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and Polanco is very safe. (2) There's a Sumesa grocery store about a 10 minute walk if you need anything.

Yelp
The staff were excellent very attentive, thorough, and helpful. The Japanese restaurant and the breakfast brunch Rulfi were fantastic. I was disappointed by the pool and the bathing area one floor above - not as nice and well kept as the rest of the property . Definitely feels like an after thought and could use renovating. I got the deep tissue massage at the spa. As someone who gets massages regularly I can definitely say it was not a deep tissue massage. It was more like a session of oil rubbing. Also it included rubbing oil on my face which I was not expecting . I was very disappointed .

Yelp
Really great, top-notch hotel in Polanco. The location may be a bit removed from the typical touristy activities, but it is a great place to stay to feel immersed in CDMX living. The area is very walkable. Rooms are quite large and very comfortable with all the lovely amenities that come with a 5-star hotel. Staff is top notch and there to meet your every need, plus more. Several really nice restaurants and cafes in the lobby to utilize as well.

Yelp
Having stayed here now several times, I must say there is such a wide palatial lobby of great bold & modern design with the most kind bartender Eric who made sure our Aqua De Ramchos De Tejas were made superb and his warmth and kindness was awesome! The Concierge or Regency Room on the 40th floor became our home and was so happy to rest, journal and read here. The rooms are quiet, bedding great and the shower is therapeutic. We loved our stays here and will be back in the new year.

Yelp
Location, location, location. Just steps away from Chapultepec Park and the Polanco neighborhood. All within walking distance. This hotel surpassed expectations on all levels. The rooms were modern, spacious and with plenty of natural light. Housekeeping was spot on. Service everywhere in the hotel was friendly and helpful. Shout out to the concierge, particularly Raymundo, for the excellent service before and during our stay. There is a bakery/cafe that makes lovely coffee and has beautiful baked goods, as well as snacks and other items for purchase. There are several restaurants, including a casual bar/restaurant in the open lobby that is very inviting. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Yelp
Stayed here for 10 days. It was a long work trip. Room was clean, Property was classy, staff was helpful throughout my stay. There are 3 restaurants on site, the primary in the lobby is delicious. Good breakfast, tacos for dinner, etc. The teppan restaurant was pricey and food was flavorless. Certainly a 3 star experience, however it is nice to be able to walk to my room from a dinner so that means something to me :) The staff sorted me out with a taxi all 10 days too/from work and they were fast. Great job concierge, very impressed with that concierge staff. 4 star and the location is good as well. It was approximate 12-15 miles from the Mexico City airport, which is nice.

Yelp
Located in the Polanco neighborhood in Mexico City. Polanco is said to be a safe area, some consider it "posh". The hotel is in walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, and attractions like Chalputepec. CDMX also has Uber. It's a nice business hotel. It wasn't very warm and inviting but had all the standard amenities .. No upgrade for the Globalist. *room key needed to operate the elevators As the stay progressed, I'd come across more staff or became familiar with others and it became more likeable. For the first couple of days, not so much.

Yelp
Booked this hotel for 4 nights and it is very convenient. It's in the Polanco area and is near the bosque/forest park, the anthropology museum, and a lot of restaurants! We got a room w a king size bed and w the added breakfast. the amenities are great, which includes the gym and sauna (pool is closed for a couple weeks). Room comes w the usual standard things (like minimal toiletries, hair dryer, towels, etc.). The breakfast is a buffet style in the lobby area on the first floor. It has a Mexican style section, standard continental breakfast section, cereals, breads and pastries, fruits and fresh juices, and cured meats and veggies section. Quite pleased w getting this added to our room and we thought it was worth it. We also had a lovely view of the City from our room. :) Overall, very happy w the service and how clean everything was!

Yelp
Short stay at the Hyatt Regency in DF but really loved staying here. The hotel is well located and super safe. Everything was really luxurious. Rooms super clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay again. This hotel also has several Restaurants on premise. We had dinner at the Japanese one. All dishes were ordered were truly delicious. I dont remember exactly, but we had many (made our own sampler). Definitely check it out! Overall. A great place to stay when visiting Mexico City. Polanco area is really nice and worth hanging out. Great bars and places to eat. Travel safe !

Yelp
Excellent hotel with very nice pool, spa and sauna and rooms are well appointed with very good staff. Highly recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Polanco.

Yelp
We booked 2 nights here during our stay in Mexico City. We didn't know what to expect but we were both very happy with our stay here! It's located in the Polanco area, which already is a very nice area in general. It's close to other hotels like the Intercontinental. and we didn't have much trouble finding restaurants closeby. It's also walking distance to the park and anthropology museum. Or short uber rides to everywhere else we wanted to go to. I was only able to take advantage of the gym once, but it was really spacious and surrounded a big pool. The long side was occupied by weights/lifting equipment. The short side had all the cardio equipment. It was bigger than the gym at St. Regis! Their lobby is nice and openly lit, and they have a cute little bakery with REALLY delicious looking pastries!!! If we weren't planning to eat alll day, i definitely would have taken one for the road. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel, so if you're looking for something nice, clean, and don't expect extras like turn down service.. I'd highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
I would not place this Hyatt Regency in the 5 star hotel category. We stayed at the St Regis Mexico City a little while ago and that's what I expect when you attach all these stars to your title. So what's good ? Very nice lobby, amazing customer service, very safe location, super comfy soaking tub with bubble bath products. What's average? The room looks like any other room found in a standard Marriott or Hyatt without the regency title. I didn't even take a picture of it because it was so forgettable. Same can be said for the pool area and the deck and the spa. No turndown service and nothing extraordinary to report besides that.

Shannon D.

Yelp
Our room stank of cigarette smoke, we called lobby twice as soon as we got to our room to ask to change rooms, no answer and no call back. We asked for an extra blanket when we were going to sleep because the room was cold and they were out of extra blankets. $360 per night after taxes and fees for a cold room that smells like cigarettes and a thin blanket

Yelp
My husband and I spent four nights at the Hyatt Regency during a recent trip to Mexico City. It was a reasonably inexpensive hotel--we booked with points, and it cost 12,000 a night--but I guess Mexico City hotels are generally good deals for American travelers. We used my mom's Hyatt Globalist status, hoping we'd get some kind of upgrade (I think that status means an automatic upgrade as long as it's available). I guess this is a popular hotel because we were told there were zero suites open. It was a perfectly serviceable Hyatt, a big business hotel in Polanco. Location was convenient, and service was good. I especially appreciated one dude on the club level who helped me figure out tourist things to do, even though he wasn't technically a concierge. We had access to this club, where breakfast and snacks were included. It was always a little sad and empty, but there was a great view of the city. Our room was small and bland, the kind of room that starts to feel depressing if you stay in it for too long. The bathroom was tiny, and the bed wasn't exactly uncomfortable, but we did wake up with sore backs every morning. We're planning to come back to Mexico City, and I don't know that I'd stay at the Hyatt Regency again. I didn't hate it, but I'd probably rather take my chances somewhere else.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night and had a wonderful time. Those hotel is beautiful and service was above and beyond. We arrived to the hotel a couple hours before check in but they allowed us to check in early. Check in went quickly and smoothly. The room had a beautiful view of the park (chalputepec). The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. While I was here, I checked out the gym. For a Saturday morning before 7am, there were quite a few people there. There was plenty of equipment and very clean. There's also a sauna, beautiful pool, and solarium. The location is great. On Friday night, we had reservations for Dulce patria. It was a short walk and felt very safe. There is plenty to do in the area- shops, bars, restaurants, and the park. What really made my stay is the service. Right before check out, I got a splinter in my finger and I didn't have any tweezers. My husband asked someone at the front desk if they had tweezers we could borrow and explained the situation. A few minutes later, a lady came out with tweezers and bandaids and took care of me- got the splinter right out for me. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
There are three hotels in Polanco that is called the three American chain hotels collectively. Hyatt Regency being one of them. You should consider booking it here if you want your stay to be centrally located in the poshest neighborhood, walk to everything, from museums to parks to pubs to shopping to anything in between. I really enjoyed their club level access for breakfast, snack, dinner type of snack and drink options. The view is nice. The rooms are comfortable and you can get early check in if you are a diamond member. We checked in at 9 am. I also liked their spa and fitness facility, the indoor pool opened until 10 and is quite lovely to use. It's on the large side, but if you are on the club level, you can call the concierge and they have this butler service where the concierge come to your room and help you map out your activities, and also bring boarding pass back to your room after you sent it to their printer. Endless dining options in Polanco. Not surprisingly, it's filled with expats and foreigners in the evenings. Which makes it easy, especially your Spanish ends with Hola.

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights last week while in town for a wedding. It was my first time in Mexico City and I was a female traveling alone so I followed the advice of the bride and stayed in Polanco, the safest (although most sterile) part of the city. I usually prefer to stay in trendier areas with newer, boutique hotels; however, I played it safe for this trip. The area is the "Beverly Hills of DF." It's not as ritzy as BH but it was pretty safe, and many great restaurants and bars were close by. I asked to be upgraded to a better room if available for Hyatt passport members but I think the request got lost in translation as she the lady who checked me in didn't upgrade me (or provide a reason why). I ended up in room 1510, which was a pretty basic room. It was a typical Hyatt room (I seem to end up at Hyatts when I am on business trips, although this was a mix of business and pleasure). The decor was kind of blah, and the bathroom just looks dated. They really need a refresh at this point. The internet was also so slow that it was painful, and I was forced to buy the daily package just to get me phone to work. Service was good but not as attentive as one would expect at a 5-star hotel (which I also don't agree with as it is more of a 4-4.5 star hotel, really). When I was by the solarium, there were no waiters around that I had to walk to the front of the gym to use their phone to phone-in a food order. It was a good hotel for my specific stay as I felt safe and secure; however, I would probably venture out and stay at another place next time.

Yelp
Room Room 1101 is directly adjacent to the lifts, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the room completely quiet. The view is of the sun deck. The beds are twin beds, which actually were not as bad as anticipated. While they skimped on space in the bedroom the bathroom was spacious. The tub was large and at 6" tall I could sit and fully extend my legs in the bath / shower combo. Lighting controls for the whole room were conveniently located on a control panel next to the bed and the bathroom provided a lamp option in addition to the overheads which is nice. Public Spaces There is an indoor pool. There is not hot tub. There is an outdoor sun deck. The lobby was massive and busy with people eating and working. Overall I think the hotel is a fine place to sleep. What I felt was lacking was personalized attentive service and a warm welcome. The check in process was longer than necessary, very transactional and instead of being offered a free upgrade as an elite member I was given a sales pitch for a paid upgrade. Overall, while there was no wait to check in, the process took too long. Comparing neighboring hotels, I much preferred the room, elite recognition and service at the JW Marriott just two doors down. Location This hotel is in the Polanco neighborhood which is a business district and had a quieter more suburban feel to it. It's a quick Uber ride to many attractions though and a short walk to anything in Chapultepec Park. On its own Polanco is not a boring neighborhood with safe running routes and streets of great bars and restaurants all in walking distance. There is shopping as well in walking distance.

Yelp
I stayed here over a weekend getaway to Mexico City. The hotel is a typical Hyatt Regency: Good service, nice, inoffensive, maybe a little austere but clean rooms. The Polanco neighborhood is super nice. There is a very nice park right across the street from the hotel to walk around in if the weather is nice. Other nice hotels (and their dining establishments) are within convenient walking distance. Chapultepec Park is a short walk away. There are cabs usually right outside the hotel. The several Ubers we got arrived within 5 minutes. I am a Hyatt Globalist but didn't get any upgrades during check-in. We were given a regular room and told we would be moved to a club level room the next day since every other room with a king bed was taken. The room we got was a bit old. The electronics and the shower were outdated. The next day, the room we were moved to on the club level had updated stuff so I'm guessing the hotel is in the process of a phased upgrade. As a Globalist I got complimentary access to the Club Lounge. The lounge is great! There was a good spread for breakfast, evening snacks and nigh time snacks everyday. There is an open bar from 11am to 11pm with a variety of wines and liquors Overall our stay was pleasant and uneventful. Most of the staff is bilingual if you can only manage English like me. Everyone we interacted with was very nice.

Yelp
Well, visiting kots off hotels this is one if the best so far. Great room. Bootjes a twin but did get up on request a king on the 32th floor. Very friendly staff, givin great service with a small. Roomservice is also great. The restaurants are also very good. It is a safe area and thats unique for Mexico City. Did enjoy this hotel a lot, a huge lot.

Yelp
Excellent service and fantastic ambience all around. This is mainly a hotel targeted for business travelers and events. There are lots of boutique hotels with much cheaper rates in the area. Don't expect too much from Spa,but the gym and the pool facilities are top notch. They also have outdoor tennis courts on the roof. All three Restaurants are very good. Seafood in all hit high marks. Most of the staff is multilingual and very cordial.

Yelp
Excellent service and excellent accommodations. In the middle of Polanco and close five star restaurants and hotels. My wife got a splinter from an artisanal craft at the loca market and the hotel staff send a nurse with a medical kit to remove the splinter. I will define Ltd be back here

Yelp
Sometimes you're in the mood for a petite and smartly decorated boutique hotel experience, and other times, you're looking for a trusty thing like the Hyatt. The Mexico City Hyatt is my new favorite place to stay. Sure the rooms have that executive hotel feel instead of the models-stay-here kinda vibe, but I love the location, cleanliness, amenities, and gorgeous lobby. Situated in Polanco, a lush and glamorous neighborhood, this Hyatt features some of the best service. I grogily walked in at 9am after surviving a red eye and they were quick in pulling up my reservation and showing me up to my room. None of that having to sleep in the lobby until the official check-in time. Score. Then, to kick off those sleepy blues, I explored the gym. The facilities were already better than the gym I pay for back home in São Paulo. All the equipment is new and the space itself is absolutely huge. There's tons of weight machines (all really clean), a line of LifeFitness treadmills, a handful of spinning bikes and ample room for stretching. This fitness center alone will keep me coming back to this Hyatt. Apparently, this is only the temporary fitness center (imagine that) as they're renovating the swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, tennis courts and changing rooms. This hotel is perfect for a weary business traveler who's simply looking for everything packed into one (restaurants, fitness, pool, nice room, location). Yep, can't go wrong with this choice.

Yelp
I loved how clean and impeccable this hotel was. I trust this name and due to my perks from being an avid Hyatt customer, I was able to get a great deal on a suite using points. The room was clean and the pillows were soft. During a vacation, we tend to forget the importance of a comfortable bed but I prioritize on this because it keeps me in tip top shape for all those hours of walking I did. They were so nice to give me an upgraded room with a view which I wasn't expecting during a busy weekend but was definitely grateful for. The staff is super professional and kind. The check in process was quick and we were given vouchers for the bar as well. The lobby is open and very sleek and perfect for business travelers and tourists because of its central location in DF. No matter the hour of the day, the lobby was always staffed and ready to address any questions, concerns, or requests. I definitely enjoyed my stay and for the price, it simply can't be beat.

Yelp
Absolutely loved my stay at the Hyatt in Mexico City. I stayed here for a few days over the holidays (Christmas and Christmas Eve) with my family. The hotel is beautiful and super clean and nice. Additionally, the restaurants inside the hotel are also of quality. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating the entire time. The area the hotel is located in is very nice and safe. The neighborhood has many nice upscale restaurants and cafes that are fun to explore. My family and I tried a few restaurants and had no bad experiences. We also felt safe walking around during the day as well as at night. The hotel is also near the park and the National Museum of Anthropology. The staff were some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Even though I was there for a major holiday, they were still very attentive and accommodating. The concierge desk helped my family book tours during the day. We were able to see the pyramids, Teotihuacan. They helped with every step and ensured that we had a great experience throughout our stay.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Hyatt's and definitely the best place I've stayed in Mexico City. The Hotel was formerly a Nikko, hence the quality is nice. There's an InterContinental, Marriott and W in the same touristy block of Polanco. The hotel features an excellent 5 star fitness center. The fitness center has about 20-25 machines, free weights, an indoor pool and a tennis court, in addition to a spa, massage area and everything you'd expect. There are at least 3 restaurants on the main floor along with a great candy store, art gallery and wonderful coffee shop/bakery. The Club on the 40th Floor for Diamond members is great. The breakfasts are hit and miss, but the early evening snacks are always a hit. The service is impeccable. They will help you navigate, check you in, shine your shoes and iron your wrinkled clothes, plus make reservations! The front desk of this Hyatt is a zoo and they seem to be in perpetual training mode. However, you are able to skip this step and check in/out on the 40th floor if needed. I've stayed here 14 times in less than 1 year due to great service!

Yelp
Superb service. Luxurious linens with organic, locally sourced toiletries. Prompt room service that is sure to delight. Terrific ambiance and an indoor swimming pool on the roof. You can tell that management focus on training because staff stay busy and are attentive.

Yelp
Excellent hotel - good location, good rooms, good view, really great breakfast (their mocha croissant is one of the most delicious croissants I have ever had), decent amenities. The only underperformance for me was the tennis court - the surface was really awkward (I couldn't tell if it's some turf with sand on it or what). Would stay here again if I were to revisit.

Yelp
What an awesome hotel! I had an upgraded suite with a king bed and a park view. I stayed here for 4 nights. And from the first step inside I was greeted by multiple people offering to take my bags or to guide me where to go in the hotel (this was also the case 24/7 throughout my stay even after being checked in). The room was nice and had a nice view, the bed wasn't too bad and the bathroom was a decent size. Although the shower and bathtub were a good size. The concierge was amazing and had great recommendations as well as helped book third party events without charging extra for it. They even had a small bakery/shop that I was able to buy aspirin for a headache without having to go walking somewhere to purchase one. My only upsets here were: The window was dirty and you couldn't see very well out of it which was so sad because it was such a gorgeous view and so large. The room was hot and the ac wasn't strong enough.

Yelp
Great hotel Clean amenities I would give 5 stars but the treatment I received as a Globalist member at the check was horrible. I felt like I was at some cheap car dealership with a car salesman pushing a car sale. This is the second time I have stayed here. I approached the front desk and ask what rooms were available. The guy took my passport and found I was a globalist member and went into sale mode. I said did he have any suits because I could stay here or the the Hyatt House Santa Fe. He said he did have rooms available but for a cost. First he explained the room would be almost 300 bucks then he went down to 200. He knew I was a globalist member and that I could just splurge out on a room. After making a call to the globalist desk and they referred me back to the hotel saying it was the hotels final decision. They put me in a regular room. I find it hard to believe that the Hyatt would lose money on a suite upgrade. I would like to point a concierge team member named Daniel. He was very professional and demonstrates great customer service. He tried to make things better by sending a bottle of wine up to the room. Just disappointed when I felt like more things could have been done. New updated I never received a bill from the Hyatt Now I check my account and find breakfast charged to a globalist member Pitiful I asked to speak to executive management since Monday no response

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. Very impressive, great location, customer service and food. The area is superb. Our room window faced Bosque de Chapultepec. It is walking distance to lots of wonderful shops and restaurants. Mexico City is beyond beautiful and I only wish we had more time there.

Yelp
Probably the nicest and most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Super clean, interior is amazing, rooms super comfortable, and all the staff members I interacted with were super attentive, friendly, and helpful.

Yelp
I have been coming to Mexico, for working reasons, quite a long time. I have tried several hotels in different areas but I have to say that the Hyatt beats most of them. It's nicely located in a safe colony were you have the rare luxury in Mexico City of being able able to walk to places. They have just renovated the lobby and the fitness center and they have started slowly redoing all the rooms. Their f&b options are very good and the staff is friendly and always at your service. So if you have to come to this wonderful city, do not hesitate this is one of the best options.

Yelp
I have stayed at scores of Hyatts in the US, including many Regency and Grand brand locations, and this was easily better than all of them- probably the best hotel experience of my life. They are extremely well staffed and any time I had to wait at the front desk was minimal. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledge of English was far superior to the rest of the service I received throughout CDMX. The room (and lobby and other common areas as well) was spotless. The room had excellent lighting, and a good hvac system with zero dampness or excessive noise. Great location right on the Chapultepec park. Nicest neighborhood in the city with many restaurants, bars, and a cool local park called Lincoln as well. The food at Rulfo was incredible. I did the breakfast buffet twice. Best scrambled eggs I've had. Loved the smoked salmon. Delicious tropical fruits including a deep red guava tasting one they called 'tuna', no relation to the fish. They also had an amazing salsas- the yellow one is addictive. The gym was spacious, bright, airy, and fresh. Nice pool, sun deck, and sauna. And they have three tennis courts! Really cool lobby design- makes you feel like you've entered a modern art museum. I am so spoiled by this place. It is the only hotel I will ever stay again in Mexico City. Bravo. Excellent job!

Yelp
Staying at the Hyatt is a vacation in itself. We had a cancelled flight and couldn't get a flight for another two days. We arrived late at night and was able to get a room right away, and also a complimentary bottle of wine for our day of inconvenience. Shopping and restaurants are all walking distance in Polanco. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The only incident that caught me off guard was asking the club lounge server for orange juice so I could mix a cocktail at the self serve bar. He made it very obvious that I bothered him. I became uncomfortable, but I still was able to make a cocktail for myself. So I will say all your needs will deff be met here, even if there's some eye roll and huffy breathe from the lounge server.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! Room was great and super clean. I love all the amenities that the hotel provided and the club level was exceptional. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in town. There is a beautiful park in walking distance as well as great places to eat (including Starbucks, for those looking for a touch of home).

Yelp
Just checked in, hung up the cloths and decided to take a look at the food and drink options in the Regency Club on the 40th Floor. I am told it is only available to those staying from the 40th to the 46th floors. I am glad I did. I am now enjoying appetizers and drinks with great service, great food and great views of Mexico City. The appetizers are fantastic. They will easily provide for a light, delicious, filling dinner for the evening. I will be back again later this week. Did I mention everything is included for no additional charge?

Yelp
What an incredible and high end hotel!! We stayed there for 5 nights. The staff was top notch. The room was extremely comfortable. We loved the coffee maker every morning. We used all of the lovely toiletries. This is a great location. The restaurants were wonderful too--sushi restaurant and the coffee/pastry restaurant. The lobby is gorgeous-and fun for people watching. Lots of people in and out. we debated on staying here or the St Regis, ht the location of this hotel was our deciding factor. We are so pleased we did!!! Can't wait to go back to CDMX!!!!

Yelp
Treat yourself right when you visit Mexico City and stay here at the Hyatt in Polanco. Five Star service and amenities. Walking distance to more than several almost five star restaurants. Stay tuned for more.
