How to spend a weekend in Phnom Penh - SilverKris

"I stayed at the Hyatt Regency and appreciated its five-star, remodelled colonial-villa ambience in the city centre with views of the Royal Palace, noted fine gastronomy, a rooftop lounge bar serving bespoke cocktails, an ample outdoor pool, afternoon tea and the Metropole Underground, which offers nightly live entertainment." - Jonathan Evans

We stayed 3 nights and the whole experiwnce was very good. We stayed in a regency exec suite which gave you access to the exec lounge. The suite was of a very good standard and size, with plenty of water refills. ||Breakfast there was a wide choice of food, both asian and western, fruits, pastries etc all of which were of a good quality, whatever time of the morning you went||The exec lounge was beautiful and the canapes and drinks from 1730 for 2 hrs offered a good choice in a peaceful setting||The trips with guide organised through the hotel were very good - cyclo of the city and the historical half day of S21 and The Killing Fields||The gym was of a good size, good quality machines, nicely air con, with towels as well as cold towels and water. ||We had one spa massage and it was utter bliss, one of the best massages Ive ever had||And finally to the staff, although it is a bigger hotel than we normally go to (over 200 rooms and suites) they were so friendly, helpful and lovely. They quickly knew whonyou were and are really were an asset to the hotel. ||Would return if we are ever in Phnom Penh again

Centrally located, this hotel is a mix of old and new. Your are greeted at this old turn of the century colonial home that links you to a brand new modern tower behind it. Architecturally it’s week thought out and it meets that expectation being a Hyatt hotel. The lobby is spacious and there’s a big covered atrium that acts as All Day Dining. The rooms are well appointed comfortable and easily has enough space for two adults. Everything you would expect is here and service is top notch. Price wise, its is reasonable for what you get. Definitely recommended!

This hotel is really nice. Rooms are very quiet and peaceful in comparison with many other hotels. It made such a difference being able to relax without hearing noise from hallways or nearby rooms. The staff were also super friendly. I checked in on my birthday and to my surprise they've prepared a cake for me. I wasn’t expecting anything, so it was a nice gesture.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and attentive.|The suite was amazing and included 4 bottles of water aday, with plenty of room in the fridge for your own cold drinks.|Having a bathroom with 2 toilets was also a bonus.|The Executive lounge drinks and canapes was very comfortable & well stocked with a selection of hot & cold food & a range of drinksincluding soft drinks, beer, wine & spirits. |Breakfast suits everyone with Asian food as well as traditional Western food.|The gym was well looked after , with high quality equipment & ice cold towels.|The spa was amazing too.|The laundry service was very reasonable, filling a bag rather than individual items.|The hotel is very well situated to explore the town.

I didn’t stay here but I have attended 4 events here and the food is just amazing. All the staffs are helpful and definitely tourist-friendly since they can speak English well. The decor and ambience has always been amazing!

A beautiful blend of traditional and modern design. The open courtyard is serene, and service is impeccable — special thanks to Ms Theary and Mr Nan for their exemplary care during breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the almond croissant and coffee. A few areas for improvement: no bidet in the toilet, check-in counter isn’t wheelchair-friendly, and the guest seating could use some music and fragrance. Very expensive by Phnom Penh standards, but overall a great stay.

I've been here several times, and each stay has been wonderful. The hotel room is cozy, clean, and equipped with the amenities I need. The bed is soft and clean. The staff are responsive to my needs, as long as they're reasonable. What's also interesting is its rich historical significance combined with its location.
