I had originally booked another well-known hotel brand in POS, but a colleague suggested I switch to the Hyatt. I’m glad I did!||The hotel is clean, well-maintained (if not aged in some design elements), and the staff are all super, super friendly (except the morning person at the coffee & pastry counter – she needs to learn how to smile and acknowledge guests). Many staff members went out of their way to greet me and ask how my stay was going.||I had a room on a higher floor and paid a bit more for a room that faced the water. It was a nice surprise to watch the water taxis, ferries, and other watercraft come and go. The large windows were very dirty on the outside, but I could still enjoy the view. Plenty of hot water in a powerful shower, fast-enough Wi-Fi for my laptop but my phone could not connect as I kept receiving notices that there was an issue with the out-of-date security certificate. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable, and there was a nice selection of channels on the TV. The in-room Keurig-style coffee maker and refrigerator were a nice touch.||I hosted colleagues at the Waterfront Restaurant and dinner was very good (albeit pricy for POS), and enjoyed drinks in the bar with the friendly staff there.||In spite of the few shortcomings, I enjoyed my stay and will definitely make Hyatt my home-away-from-home on future visits.
