Hyatt Vacation Club at Piñon Pointe is a spacious and cozy resort that captures the charm of Sedona perfectly. The rooms provide a great home-away-from-home feel. It is important for fellow travelers to note that, as this is a Vacation Club property, no complimentary breakfast is provided for Globalist members. Despite that, the comfort and the stunning red rock views make it a wonderful place to stay.

Stayed two nights here during July 2025 with my kid and mom. Shout out to Kerrie at front desk who checked us in early and went out of her way to find a room without stairs due to mobility. We all had a great stay. My son did not want to get out of the pool. The sunset and the view from the pool area are just fantastic. The clubhouse is very nice and spacious and had daily activities but we didn’t join due to time constraints. The bed and the pull out couch were both very comfortable. The balcony was a nice outdoor space to enjoy our breakfast. Parking can be right. Other than that, a very pleasant stay and love to stay again.

This resort exceeded my expectations and was much more beautiful than the photos on the website which never happens! I highly recommend this beautiful place that is surrounded by the magnificent red rocks of Sedona. The villa, pool, hot tub and all of it was romantic and gorgeous! All of our needs were met and I would definitely go back! The only mistake I made was staying one night. I cannot express how exquisite our stay was and would definitely come back for more!!!

Google
Great views and walkable location. We enjoyed the many options for food, coffee, and cocktails nearby. The pool deck was the perfect spot to watch a panoramic of the sunset, we moved right to the hot tub + fire pit for star gazing and smores. It was relaxing. We were worried about vacation club marketing, the concierge was informational and not pushy. Rooms are a bit dated but spacious. There is some construction nearby right now that disturbed the peace. We would stay here again.

Google
Loved the location of this resort, we were able to walk to the town to shop and eat. We also enjoyed the pool a couple times. The concierge was really helpful in giving us some ideas and tips. My only feedback would be the room was a bit dated. Otherwise, it was spacious and comfortable. We would definitely come back!

Location is Uptown Sedona. Super convenient and in walking distance to everything. Toured the Property and it is beautiful. Had an appointment with Ricardo in sales. He is knowledgeable and professional and took time to answer all our questions. The whole process was seamless and we learned so much. We never felt pressured or intimidated. Timeshares have come a long way since my parents were timeshare owners. I highly recommend the team here if you are interested in Hyatt ownership privileges. I am so excited to be a Hyatt Vacation Club owner now. I am already planning my next vacation! Thanks to Ricardo and the team at HVC.

Very Disappointing Stay. Staff Were Excellent, but the Property Itself Was a Letdown. I’m a loyal Hyatt member and have stayed at many Hyatt properties around the world, but this one was extremely disappointing. the staff were absolutely outstanding , 10 out of 10. They were kind, professional, and genuinely tried their best to help. Unfortunately, the problem is the property itself. This location is part timeshare and part hotel, and the structure shows it. They have two types of rooms: the suites on the upper levels, and several rooms that go downstairs like a basement. Mine was one of those lower-level units (you can see it in my photos) the “view” was literally a wall, yet it cost $370 per night. The walls are incredibly thin ,you can hear everything from the next room, and based on what I heard from others, this is a common complaint. Unless you book one of the most expensive one-bedroom units, you’re likely to have the same issue. And frankly, even those rooms don’t seem worth the price for what this property offers. Overall, this was the most disappointing Hyatt experience I’ve ever had. The only redeeming quality was the wonderful staff. Otherwise, the property itself feels cheaply built and completely unworthy of the Hyatt name.

Google
Hyatt Pinon Point Sedona: Maintenance on Permanent Vacation We booked the Hyatt to celebrate our anniversary with the intention of luxuriating in the amenities. We're loyal Hyatt guests, expecting a functional, quality experience. This Sedona property, despite the stunning backdrop, is a genuine failure on the basic promise of comfort. We knew from the website one hot tub was out—fine. But the issues multiplied fast. We arrived to discover the men's steam room was also closed. The pool area, the supposed center of relaxation, was a mess, bordered by ugly cones and caution tape. The single working hot tub left was dirty, its jets just wildly splashing water. If you come here for the amenities, prepare to be disappointed. You can live with a single hook for wet towels. Whatever. But the hot and cold knobs reversed on BOTH sinks? Broken path lights? These small details tell the story of years of inattentive neglect. It's a crying shame to see a resort with this kind of potential completely sabotaged by operational failures that are entirely preventable. This place misses the high standard the Hyatt name usually carries.

Yelp
Hyatt Pinon Pointe is an okay place to stay in Sedona--comfortable and well-located, but not somewhere I'd stay long term. The property is clean, the rooms are decent, and the location is convenient for exploring downtown Sedona and nearby trails. Staff was pleasant and the overall atmosphere was calm. That said, it didn't feel particularly special or luxurious. After a couple of days, there isn't much on-property that really stands out, and the experience can start to feel repetitive. For me, this is more of a short-stay option. Overall, not a bad place at all, but I'd recommend staying no more than three days. It works well as a base to explore Sedona, just not as a destination resort on its own.

Yelp
The location is great as it's within Uptown. The Shops are also on the property, and it was convenient when we had lunch at one of the restaurants. We arrived here after sunset and the property was dark, due to the fact that Sedona is a part of the Dark Sky community. My friend went to check in and I was told there was a pushy sales guy trying to sell her a timeshare. We then drove over to our room and made our way up the steps. What I liked about the room is that there was a mini fridge and microwave along with dishes and silverware that we made use of. The room also had a small balcony. The bathroom had a double sink. I think it would've been better if the toilet wasn't as close to the shower/bathtub. What I didn't like was that I could clearly hear our neighbors who were in the adjoining room separated by a door. I could hear their conversations and even hear them peeing. :/ I was also REALLY annoyed when the phone rang during the middle of the night- all three nights. We called the front desk and asked if it was a hotel wake-up call service that rolled over from the previous guest. They stated they don't offer that service. I guess we should've unplugged the phone. Maybe earplugs would've been a great idea.

Yelp
Title: Disappointing Experience for a Hyatt Globalist Review: As a Hyatt Globalist, I expected a much better experience at Hyatt Piñon Point. Unfortunately, the "studio" room I was assigned was incredibly small -- it honestly felt more like a closet than a hotel room. The walls are paper thin; I could hear every conversation from the guests next door, which made it difficult to relax or sleep. I requested an upgrade upon check-in, but the manager refused to accommodate the request, despite availability showing online. When I got to my assigned room, I asked again to be moved, explaining the size and noise issues, but was denied once more. For a property carrying the Hyatt name -- and particularly for Globalist members who stay loyal to the brand -- this experience was extremely disappointing. The location in Sedona is beautiful, but the service and room quality fell far below expectations for any Hyatt. Also, don't appreciate the "Welcome Gift" I never received , the salesperson literally chased me out the door to try and sell me on a 90 minute sales pitch!

Yelp
We only stayed here for 1 night, but it was great. Driving up, the property is beautiful, and check in was smooth. Jafria helped us get settled and even walked us through the activities happening that night, which was a nice touch. The location is another big plus, there are shops and restaurants right across the way, making it easy to grab dinner or a treat without needing to drive. Our room was spacious and had nice touches with a little couch, coffee table, mini fridge, and sink. The bathroom was roomy as well, though not quite as polished as some other hotels we've stayed in. The bed was comfortable and a good size, and the patio was a lovely addition, we ended up using it later that evening and also woke up to amazing views as the sun came up. A small detail I appreciated, the tv was mounted and swiveled so we could watch comfortably from the bed (always a favorite of mine on vacation)!. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and the property itself felt relaxing and clean. We took the path that cuts through the pool area to reach the Broome and Orchard across the way and it was a pretty walk. While the bathroom could use a refresh, the overall stay was comfortable and memorable. For the location and amenities, this is a solid choice in Sedona and we would happily stay here again.

Yelp
If you like old then this is your place! Yeah, I know the construction has started however I was so lucky to get one of those rooms. The rooms are dark dingy and dirty. The top of the refrigerator looks like it had not been cleaned for weeks. Trying to have me purchase a Timeshare with this property is a joke.

Yelp
Excellent location, amenities, and staff. I took my elderly parents on a roadtrip. Huge shout out to Jafia (I hope I'm spelling her name right) and Nicole. Both were super super friendly and down to earth. Almost felt like we were friends for years. They helped me find a nice room that didn't have stairs. Thank you ladies. Highly recommend this Hyatt since it's right in the heart of all the action. Walking distance if the weather permits. Easy access to all the restaurants and shops, free and plentiful parking. Like most places in Sedona, this Hyatt is like condo-living. Great for families, friends, and yes parents! This will probably be the only place I stay at each time I visit Sedona.

J K.

Yelp
Rooms doors are adjacent so you hear everything next door. Was told I'd have to wait for a room with view... Here's the room with a view. Disappointed is an understatement. Worth noting , the toilet paper roll hung over the actual toilet so you couldn't put the seat down without hitting it. Someone took the screens off both faucets so the water squirts everywhere. The towels had holes in them. But the people were nice! Except for the cleaning crew who argued that he wasn't making any noise even though he admitted to a rock hitting the door. Interesting and weird experience for a hyatt brand hotel for sure.

Yelp
Booked two rooms for this hotel via Expedia and got a really good rate. When we pulled up you really feel like you are going to a resort, winding roads taking you to the top where the hotel is. Upon entering the hotel, I'd have to say it wasn't the warmest greeting. The lady that checked me in wasn't the friendly, smiling staff that I'm used to from Hyatt. I arrived around noon and check in wasn't until later but she did say she would text if the room was done sooner. Once we got the room the good thing is I booked one that was a larger suite and the other was a standard room and they were adjoining. She was able to program the key where it worked both rooms which was a nice bonus. The downfall of the hotel is where our room was it required you to walk up 2 very long flight of stairs. We had heavy bags so this wasn't quite a chore. I feel like the hotel should ask if we need help carrying the luggage or if anyone has any difficulties with stairs. Kind of weird. The rooms itself were great. The larger room has a dining room table which seats 6, the kitchen is stocked with the basics, and there is also a washer and dryer and a fireplace which put out great heat! There is a separate bedroom with a soaking tub and walk in shower. The views from the room are pretty nice too. The smaller room was nice as all. King bed with a pullout couch so plenty of room if you need it. They do have a hot tub and pool but unfortunately neither were working which was a huge bummer since that was one of the reasons we booked. Location was in a prime area. Walking distance to everything!

Yelp
Big grateful shout out to Concierge Kayla Luna for getting me out of a huge bind when I was visiting a local cafe and lost my iPhone. I was not a guest at the Hyatt and needed to get back to the Hilton. Despite this and given the very limited ride options, she didn't stop until she found a ride service to get me back. I appreciate her humanity and willingness to help a traveler in need. I think this reflects well on her and leadership and excellent training. Kudos, a warm hug, and huge thanks to Kayla. Sergio

Yelp
We booked a two bedroom for three nights through Hyatt in July 2024. Overall it was a good clean property conveniently located near many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room included a small fully equipped kitchen and two full bathrooms. Their pullout beds were the nicest and most comfortable pullout I've ever experienced. Great property if traveling as a family or group of friends who want to stay together in a large space. Very small gym but if was welcome and bright.

Yelp
A solidly great Hyatt property with spacious accommodations (we got the 1 room suite), a lovely pool area with outdoor grills, an attached fitness studio, and so much more! The check in staff were welcoming and provided us with area maps, discounts for local restaurants and more, and this is one of the more service forward Hyatt properties we have been too! Of special note- Restaurants, markets, shopping areas, spas, and more are right within the confines of the resort area which we always appreciate. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star is that there are some deferred maintenance issues to the grounds, and we noticed quite a few tripping hazards and staircases with no lights. But nothing to take away from a truly enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Staff is friendly and rooms are clean, no complaints there. Do not plan on sleeping past 6am if you are in a room near the parking lot, the trash truck comes daily and is very loud. I suggested to the front desk letting folks know and they are aware, they say they've asked the city over and over to no avail. Again, enjoyed most aspects of the property except being woke up early on vacation. Maybe ask to be placed farther away from parking and trash receptors.

Sean O.

Yelp
Great place to stay if you're visiting Sedona. We had a one bedroom condo and it was like home away from home. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The whole team is five star. Parking is somewhat limited in certain spots (restaurants and shops area is very popular) so plan ahead.

Yelp
Unfortunately I feel like this hotel has gone downhill. I've stayed here multiple times and I have never had an issue with early check in or upgrades but they must be getting really stingy with their policies. I ended up getting to Sedona around 1:30 and it was nice that they let me use the amenities while we were waiting but they knew that I was waiting for my room so I would hope they would put somewhat of a rush but nope, our room basically wasn't ready until almost 4 which is their check in time. It's very annoying that check in is so late and that check out is so early at 10am? Stingy. I think this hotel knows that they have so much leverage on the customer because it's probably the best location you can have in Sedona but that's pretty much all they have going for them. Amenities and accommodations have gone way downhill. Couldn't get a late check out either. Apparently it takes 6 hours to clean rooms here.

Yelp
Donald at the front desk was very helpful as we made our reservations through Hyatt with our points and it was not in the system. He went out of his way to help us with some help from Athena both where very friendly and patience. The rooms are those of timeshare owners so no on site restaurant. Small room with little refrigerator and microwave. Kitchen was stocked for coffee and dishes etc. We where in Sedona for 2 nights, and room was comfortable enough- 31 steps upstairs with luggage was not the best and stairs need updating especially for older adults as there where metal strips that could be tripping. Sedona is amazing and there was a restaurant and coffee shop within walking to hotel. So many places to stay and would expect more from the Hyatt cost we where charged.
google avatar

Yelp
Like so many other reviews this "vacation club" Hyatt leaves a lot to be desired. Outside grounds are immaculate the rooms are filthy, smelly and dark. We fond mold all over the room. First night we went to go to bed and there were no sheet. After 30 minutes they brought 1 set of sheets and 1 pillow for 2 beds. After laying down we looked up and notice mold in the vents. The bathroom was very poorly clean. Just nasty

Yelp
This place has been the best hotel stay I have ever been to! The people at the front desk were very nice to us and gave us tips on what to do in Sedona for the week. The rooms were very nice and spacious; they had all the necessities the room needed. The balcony has such a breathtaking view of the cliffs of Sedona! They had many activities for the kids such as tie dye. Beautiful pool with a beautiful view! You should really try this place!

Yelp
Like others echo in their reviews, this hotel seems to ignore any kind of accommodations due to Hyatt status. We were denied any kind of late check-out after they sold us on a 9:30 am presentation on time shares the day of our checkout, meaning we would have to check out EARLIER to attend their sales pitch. Pointing out the issue to the Front Desk got a shrug - I was shocked because I am used to top-notch service at Hyatt properties. They stated they had "maxxed out" their number of late checkouts for that day - so keep that in mind if / when booking. Of course, I started wondering if our sub-par treatment may have some kind of bias associated with it, but, judging by the other reviews citing similar issues, this seems to be consistent with the property's level of service. Like others mention, the studios are small and the AC units can be challenging to adjust. We did not have any issues with cleanliness of our unit (we were in Unit 1011A), but we did have to call for sheets and blankets for our sleeper since none were found anywhere in the unit. Yes, the views from the pool / jacuzzi area are stunning, but we are in Sedona - you get spectacular views from the parking lots here. Spare yourselves the disappointment and find another hotel in Sedona. We will not be back unless there are serious changes with the Customer Service.

Yelp
This resort delivers and then there's the view. We have stayed at this property about 50 nights since it opened and the Sedona Residence Club has always delivered on a great stay. Here are rooms we've had with the best views: #1 621 #2 1622 #3 332 Avoid building 9 if possible. Benefits and amenities include a hilltop pool with a spectacular view. Pool is heated and there are two hot tub spas. Also, free parking, fast Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, a full kitchen and the location is walking distance to downtown Sedona and Tlaquepaque. One bedroom and two bedroom units are very, very large. Rating is 5 stars+ I recommend this resort when staying in Sedona or even traveling through

Yelp
J and I used some of our Hyatt free stays and points to visit Sedona for the first time and stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Vacation Club at Pinon Pointe. We arrived at the property a little after 4 pm on the Friday of Presidents Day Weekend. Check in was very easy and they set up an appointment to sit in a vacation club purchase meeting the next morning for us to get a Jeep Tour. The vacation club meeting was between 1 1/2-2 hours and was totally low pressure. Gave a lot of good info on the program but we decided it wasn't for us at this time and we got the voucher for the Jeep Tour without a hassle. The property was nice with several restaurants and shops directly adjacent to the hotel. Our 1 bedroom room was beautiful and very spacious with a full kitchen, dining room area, living room with a fireplace (it was chilly in the evening and we used it each night) as well as a large jacuzzi tub that was awesome. We were very close to the pool area, the pool was a good size along with two hot tubs and a fire pit. We sat by the fire pit one night to enjoy looking the stars (Sedona has strict light pollution ordinances so star gazing is amazing). We didn't use the fitness center or the rec area but both were in the pool area as well. Overall it was a great stay here and on future trips to Sedona we will definitely being staying at this property.

Yelp
Hotel stay was wonderful! Their villas were very nice and clean! The pool and spa area was great! Lobby was very nice and professional, will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
After a fight at checkin they finally Upgraded our room to a ADA/handicap room which was nice and spacious. But a Loud Alarm in room went off twice at 5am and 5:30am. I will forever unplug alarm clocks in hotel rooms moving forward, lesson learned. Previous tenant must have set it? So horrible waking up to that so loud and so early and it did it twice!! We were so tired all day because we had gotten in late the night before. Also, no globalist recognition here. Would not even give us late check out. I actually feel like they don't like Hyatt members here, they only like owners. They said everyone has to check out at 10am no exceptions. You're telling me the maid staff gonna clean 100 rooms all at once at 10am? Unbelievable, I've never seen such an early checkout at a hotel before and won't even give you a half hour. Front desk staff extremely rude. Security guard Dan was very nice though

Yelp
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hyatt Vacation Club. I can give you ONE reason to stay here: LOCATION. It is within easy walking distance to downtown Sedona, a lot of restaurants and shops are. The grounds are stunning and very well maintained. We are World of Hyatt members, so didn't stay as 'Vacation Club Guests '. Although we were offered a chance to attend a time share presentation, there was no pressure ( we did not attend). There are no restaurants at the resort, there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. You can also cook your own meals. There are several barbeque grills on the property. We had a small kitchenette in our room with a sink, medium sized refrigerator and microwave. The hotel concierge was great! She gave us a map of the property as well as a map of town. She also gave us several discount cards for local restaurants. The pool and Jacuzzi area has gorgeous views of the red rocks of Sedona. There is an activity room with a pool table. Our room was a little on small side, but functional. We had a balcony with a beautiful view and table w/ chairs. As we drove around, we noticed other very nice resorts, but none of them had the ideal location that this resort has. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again.

Yelp
The checkin process was easy and the person helping us was nice and provided a lot of information with a map to the property. Parking is a bit crazy. We were told to park in one of three areas, close to our unit but they were all full. We had to park and walk to the unit which isn't that big of a deal. We had a studio and it was spacious. It had a king size bed, a pullout couch, a chair, shower/tub, kitchenette with microwave/coffee maker and plates/utensils. It also had a small fridge. It would be easy to stay there a week and feel at home. The pool is in the central property area, we were in an exterior unit and it was an easy/short walk. The pool was heated and had a hot tub. There are a lot of pool chairs and the sunset views are breathtaking. They have a entertainment area near the pool with a pool table, game room for kids, etc... the gym was small but adequate. They also have a ice machine and laundry room. They had a fire pit but only one by the pool and it was a popular area. So why didn't I give the place 5 stars? The cost is high so expectations are high. They didn't have housekeeping services. They also didn't have sheets on the pullout couch and/or stored in the room which was inconvenient and we also arrived late after a long drive. They had one ice machine and it was out of ice two different times. Some of these might seem nit picky but again, expectations are a bit higher when you pay a lot.

Elaine K.

Yelp
We stayed in a one-bedroom villa for a few nights on our way to visit the Grand Canyon. The villa is generously sized, and is outfitted perfectly for folks who might want to prepare their own meals and gather with a few friends. We found the dark/rustic decor to be cozy; a more modern/flashy look would be out of place here. The rooms were clean and the fittings were all functioning as they should. There is enough space (and doors that close!) for travelers to get some quiet private time. My partner and I loved stargazing from our balcony on the upper level, and walking the paths to nearby restaurants. This was the perfect place for us to stay to jump-start winding down for a real vacation. Everyone we dealt with on staff was knowledgeable and up-beat - friendly and ready to help. I never love getting a pitch about buying into a time-share, so I'll skip the long talk with the concierge in the future. We were warned via email and text that there would be construction under way on the property; our rooms were in another building and the sound was not an inconvenience to us, but staff suggested we check the room out and before getting settled in, let them know if we were not happy. I would happily stay here again!

Yelp
Our stay was pleasant. It wasn't the greatest but it wasn't bad either. A few bullet points... Positives: -Great pool! Heated and lovely... we had to make a reservation for the hot tub (due to COVID safety measures) but that was easy to do. -Free parking and solid wi-fi -Bed was comfortable -Kitchenette provided all the necessary tools -Great location, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a coffee shop and restaurant/bakery on-site. Chipotle and a mini mart are located right next door, almost on the same premises. Negatives: -A studio room will garner no views (wish I had done better research as a view of the parking lot while staying in Sedona kind of blows) -I wiped everything down when we arrived with a disinfecting wipe and was pleased to see that it was clean and there was no traces of dust or dirt on it; however, there WAS someone's (dirty?) underwear on the floor in our closet. If housekeeping missed this, it makes you wonder what else is being missed. Especially when they are supposed to be even more thorough during COVID. -Heads up, concierge will call you to tell you there is a welcome packet for you... this is basically where they want to pitch a timeshare to you and incentivize it with a gift card, etc. Considering there are SO many places to stay in Sedona, I don't know if we would return to the Hyatt. We chose this place because we thought it was going to be "fancier" and better than most but it was just okay.

Yelp
Quick Summary Plenty of amenities, large and clean but outdated rooms. Great views and a very central location Room- 4 stars The room was pretty large and we were lucky enough to get a good view of the red rocks. It was great having breakfast on the patio every day. A few complaints start with the layout. The neighboring suite ran their washing machine at 6am every morning and the machine was close to our bedside, which was annoying. The room was a bit outdated. And a bit disappointed that they couldn't upgrade to a suite when we booked with points (apparently residence club doesn't recognize elite status) Service- 5 stars The staff were very polite and helpful. Very nice for them to offer laundry detergent and other useful items during our trip Amenities- 5 stars So many amenities, which is expected at a timeshare. Nice to have the free laundry machines. The gym was very large with plenty of exercise equipment. They had multiple BBQ pits, a ping pong table and a large pool and jacuzzi. Bottom Line Loved the views, the large rooms, amenities, and the central location of the resort. Would appreciate if the staff enforced quiet hours or perhaps spaced out appliances to more secluded walls to avoid disturbances

Yelp
Prices are insane. Rooms arent even close to what theyre are charging. Next time ill go down the street to hilton.

Yelp
One word: Views Hotel with one of the best views in Sedona. Sedona where the first thing you think of is giant Red rocks and a desert landscape. Pinecones and pine trees are probably the last thing you'd expect to see. Believe it or not, the mountains of Sedona have pinecones. But I didn't come to Sedona to sniff pine cones or tackle a climb on one of the mountainous red rocks. I came to stay the night at the Hyatt Residence Club Sedona Pinon Pointe. The Hyatt Residence Club Sedona Pinon Pointe is a non-smoking hotel. Smokers will find plenty of outdoor spaces to light up. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of town and walking distance from shops and restaurants. Tip: You get a 10% to 15% discount at participating shops, restaurants, activities, and spas when you show your room key. An unpretentious lobby awaits with adobe tile floors and open wood beamed ceilings. Unlike a traditional hotel, the lobby is not open 24 hours. Lobby hours are from 7 am to 11 pm. So plan to arrive during those times or make special arrangements. Because the building is locked and there is no admittance. There are three types of rooms at the Hyatt Residence Club Sedona: Studio One bedroom Two bedroom All rooms have a balcony or patio. The 350 square feet studios include a queen Hyatt Grand bed, sofa sleeper, and kitchenette. Studios do not have views. One bedroom suites have a king bed, spa tub, full kitchen, living room with fireplace, DVD player, washer and dryer, and a view Two bedroom suites are a studio and one-bedroom suite combined. Tip: There are no elevators at the Hyatt Residence Club Sedona Pinon Pointe. Most of the rooms are accessible only by stairs. If you are not able to walk up stairs this is not the hotel for you. My one bedroom suite was upstairs and had great views of Camel Rock and Snoopy Rock. The Southwest colored one bedroom suite resembles a condo both in terms of size and amenities. There's more than enough room for a family to have a comfortable stay. For a solo traveler like myself, it was spacious and a lot of space. To the right, as you enter the suite, there's a large closet with a dresser inside. The connecting door to the studio is immediately to your left. There's a writing desk across from the kitchen near the dining area. The dining table can comfortably seat six. If you need more seats there are two extra seats at the counter. A full sized washer and dryer and two boxes of Tide mean you can go home with clean clothes. The full kitchen has all the cooking pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, and silverware you'd need to make a meal or heat up leftovers in the microwave. There's a dishwasher so you don't have to do dishes on vacation! You can relax in front of the fireplace while watching TV or a movie in the cozy living room. The couch and two chairs can seat five. After a long day of hiking, you can soak in the generously sized spa jet tub. It's large enough for two people. Perfect for a romantic evening. Dual vanities mean you don't have to share a sink. The lighted make up mirror is a nice touch. If you look under the sink you'll find a hairdryer. The Hyatt Grand bed is so relaxing and comfortable you'll want to sleep in. The master closet has a mini-fridge sized safe. There's a weird shelf/ledge so really big items don't fit. I was able to squeeze my laptop backpack in the safe. Upstairs rooms have a large balcony with a wicker glass top table that seats four. The Hyatt Residence Club Sedona Pinon Pointe offers daily activities and events. The majority are free because of the resort fee but there are a few paid activities. It's an older hotel without elevators but the spacious rooms make the hotel a great choice for couples, families, and groups. The views are fantastic. All the rooms, except the studios, have views. More photos on my blog. Because the Hyatt Residence Club Sedona Pinon Pointe is a timeshare, traditional World of Hyatt perks like free breakfast, upgrades and late checkout aren't applicable. But you could get lucky and score a free upgrade and late check out like me.

Yelp
Last time my friend and I stayed here was 2 years ago. Not much has changed. We had a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen. Decor is the same, needs to be updated. If you are concerned about Covid Business/Hotel rules being followed, yes they all were. Hand sanitizer stations barriers set up, masks worn by all employees. Our suite was fairly clean but I myself have always been in the habit of wiping down any where I stay. The kitchen is great to have, good appliances. Seeing that this was a stay-cation for us we brought food to make breakfast and snacks plus cocktails. Keep in mind because of Covid, house keeping is not available during your stay and the rec. center is closed. There is limited pool time, only 40 guest around the pool at a time, first come fist serve. When it reaches 40 you go on a wait-list that you can only signup for in the pool area. Same goes for hot tubs, you have to make an appointment for the 2 hot tubs available. Natalie was in charge of organizing pool reservation and cleaning spots after use while we were there. She did a fantastic job. We stayed 2 nights, the bed mattress was horrible, like sleeping on rocks. My friend brought it to Kerrie's attention the next morning (front desk) and our mattress was immediately changed to a new mattress. Thank you Kerrie.

Yelp
We have been staying at this property for a few years now but this year their service has really declined. We were there a couple of weeks ago and the room smelled musky when we walked in and had to ask for a new one. And status holder be warned, this property puts priority on selling time shares and does not care for Hyatt status. As aGlobalist, I had to ask for an upgrade each time and had to wait to 'get it processed' so the staff would then ask me to 'talk' to the 'concierge' where they would try to get you to sign up for the sales speech. I asked for a room with a view (3 times now) and not once I got it due to 'occupancy' Asked for a late check out and was given till 1130am. What's the point of staying at property that ignores status? I can go to ANY property in Sedona if that's the case. And that's what I will moving forward.

Yelp
Lots of construction going on which wasn't stated on the website while booking. Very outdated and dark room . Only one window towards parking lot so you need to close dark curtains for privacy. Ants in the bathroom. Construction quite loud. Pool closed due to 'lightning ' even though few clouds up above and nothing in forecast. They try to sell you vacation homes

Yelp
We have been happy owners of Hyatt Residence Club Sedona since they first opened. We just love the location, spacious rooms, kitchen, pools, and surrounding shops/restaurants. It's one of the best place to stay in Sedona. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One negative is the constant promotional sales pitch, even if you already own the time share.

Yelp
When booking this hotel first go to the customer service part and look at the age requirement for checking in to this hotel. You must be 21 years of age. It does not state this at any time while making your reservation or payment. Don't find out the hard way as our daughter did. She had saved her money to go here after graduation which was 5 hours away from home. She was so excited that she did this all on her own and couldn't wait to relax. However, when her boyfriend and her showed up they told her she couldn't stay because she was not 21. The only way we found the age requirement was after being on the phone with the hotel manger guiding us to the spot. She ended up having to find another hotel else where.

Yelp
The hotel is very pretty but the room is small and cramped. My studio room was connected to another which was noisy and smelled like food (unfortunately in a bad way). The location is great and the southwestern decor is beautiful. The hotel does not offer any breakfast or room service which was disappointing. My suggestion is to upgrade your room to a one or two bedroom allowing additional space with a full kitchen. Despite my review, the hotel has the most beautiful scenery I've seen.

Yelp
Disappointing. This is my honest opinion on a pretty devastating experience. Poor maintenance. Poop stains on mattress on check-in. Ultra rude sales staff. The units are dated and in disrepair. Many smell. Sales staff doesn't want to hear it. They just want to hard sell you. Sales guy next to us was trying to ram the offer down some ladie with a neck tatoos throat. When they realized we were not interested they forced us to sit and watch their silly video for 60 minutes. The sales quality control guy that smelled like cigarettes and coffee with severely stained teeth chided us and said if we move he will cancel our reservation and charge us the "full rate". They made our kids cry thinking if we didn't buy from them that we would have to pack up and go home. My opinion and advice is to just pay and stay somewhere where they care. It's not worth the stress.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Residence Club. For two people the two bedroom villa was an over abundance of space. The buildings are Pueblo style and the villas are decorated with a southwestern flare. There is a front and back balcony with seating, whirlpool tub, two pull out sofas, living room, fireplace, full kitchen and a kitchenette. They provided a mid week cleaning that was nice but not necessary. The rooms are nicely stocked with towels and the means to clean the kitchen and do laundry. There are lots of comfortable amenities on property to enhance your stay. We loved sitting out by the fire pit at the end of the day and into the night. The pool has gorgeous views and you can walk to shopping and dining. The location is the strongest selling point of this timeshare. It is right in the center of Sedona. The check in staff was very efficient but not particularly friendly.

Yelp
Great location but that's all there really is to it. Outdated TVs without standard apps. Low water pressure, and really bad lights; the lighting was yellow and they kept flickering as well. It was very difficult to find parking by your suite, and we had a shared door between another room. Other than that, there was a mini fridge that can fit more than enough, a microwave, a few dishes as well as a blow dryer.

Yelp
We stayed room 1612 in April 2019. It was the 1 bedroom suite downstairs unit with attached living room and kitchen. I was worried about some of the review complaints with noisy neighbors ,no problems with noise at all. Guessing it's because the room right next to us (guessing it's a studio) was vacant. We all slept very well! I know it's hit or miss with a lot of rooms without views or near cell tower. We asked and received a beautiful room with awesome views. Our teens used the pool but kind of limited since it wasn't heated that well.Location is perfect walking distance to restaurants and shops. The only complaints and reason it's not a 5 star experience is we found 3 coachroaches in our room. I told the front desk but they didn't seem concerned at all and told me they were Arizona beetles. Since I'm from California ,where we have a huge problem,I'm 100% sure they were coachroaches. I suggested to front desk to fill in some holes in the bathroom. My husband said he also saw one in the kitchen

Yelp
Let me start by saying Sedona is expensive no matter where you stay. This place was one of the only resorts that looked like it had a large pool area and was resort style. We stayed in the one bedroom condo, and the room was nice and big. It is set up nicely, with a full kitchen and fridge. The problems came with the amenities and the cleanliness of the room and grounds. We were given 2 towels for two nights, with nothing in the room for backup. The shampoo and conditioner were completely empty. There were not even water bottles in the room, which is not necessary but when you pay $400 a night and have a full kitchen you'd think they'd add that. Especially in an active desert town. Then when night time came i got up to use the restroom and there were HUGE ROACHES all over. I could barely sleep. Don't stay here.

Yelp
Very unpleasant stay. stayed satuday-monday and both nights had no hot water at night when we tried to bathe. Also the thermostat is impossible to get a comfortable temperature . If you put it anything under 73 it just blast cold air in your face. Back to the hot water: the front desk solution was that we can shower in the rec room or gym tomorrow at 7AM. WTF! I know you are just trying to find solutions but that was pretty dumb. Second night of no hot water they offered to move us, we were leaving at 5am the next morning so did not. make sense to pack our stuff just to head out 6 hours later. Why didn't I get the option the day before? Oh cuz it was Saturday. They DEFINITELY prioritize the time share aspect way more than giving quality service. also they would rectify the situation cuz I booked thru Expedia ( I didn't I did my booking thru amex). so cuz someone else got a cut they can't give good service or rectify their issues. Stand behind your shit Hyatt!! save yourself time and just got to the AMARA its amazing

Yelp
100+ stars. Okay well, there were some negatives of this place, but they were so minor. Let's start. With COVID, they are still taking reservations and are very safe. You check in at the front and they make it as little contact as possible. Maps, directions, pamphlets of things to do, place to eat, and rules are given to you. They go over the hours of operations, general rules of the place, and even provide you flashlights. The property is not to big, but each little residence is large and spread out. During my stay, I barely saw or heard anyone. I did hear foot steps at night from my top neighbor, which sucked because a lot of the property was unoccupied. For the price you pay to stay, it's worth it. You get a whole kitchen, living room, bathtub, huge bathroom, and comfy bed. The only downfall for me was the limited front desk hours and the smelly bathroom situation. The fan inside the bathroom isn't strong and the smell would linger (even after leaving the room for hours). The jetted bathtub was such a plus to this trip. It was nice after a long days of hiking.

Yelp
Time share talk was fine until we said no. Then the guys head spun like Linda Blair's. I thought we'd never get out of there but we had to wait for our promotion offer to be prepared.

Yelp
Beautiful Hyatt property with a beautiful one-bedroom apartment. It was a wonderful place to end our vacation. Younger girl at check-in is very abrupt and not very friendly. As always, the Hyatt bed was very comfortable, and even the sofa sleeper was better than usual with a memory foam mattress. Giant bathtub with jets. Fireplace. Fully stocked kitchen with Cuisinart appliances and pots. Washer/dryer, private covered patio, beautiful finishes. No food/beverage/ice available on the premises, but located right downtown where all the shops and restaurants are. The pool was a perfect temperature that was neither warm nor cool. We reserved a couple or chairs (section 8!), and it was very relaxing with the 365 degree views. They keep outdoor lights to a minimum to avoid contributing to light pollution, so stargazing in Sedona can remain.

Yelp
I own a timeshare at the Hyatt Pinon Pointe, Sedona since Feb 2017. It was our first timeshare presentation and it really felt like a great opportunity but after that paying for the timeshare as a mortgage loan and then paying annual maintenance fee of $1200+ even if you do not use feels a lot. I did not use the points or the time last year but it feels those points are all lost and still I have to pay a maintenance fees for the share. I have been trying to contact them everyway to see if I can just cancel my contract and whatever I have paid they can have I dont need any refunds just want to cancel the contract and the loan is all closed, but they dont understand it. I never thought selling a timeshare or getting out of it with such a reputable name as Hyatt will be such a difficult task.

Yelp
We had traveled for most of the day to get here. We were tired. When we went to check in, we were immediately approached with a time share sales pitch. All we wanted to do was check-in and eat. This was an immediate turn off. We said we are not interested, maybe we can talk tomorrow about it. The lady began pressuring us, by saying she was off tomorrow and today was the only day. After that, we went to our room. The room was outdated, stains on the floor, cobwebs, cabinets didn't close properly. The bed was super uncomfortable and you felt every tiny movement. I actually slept on the couch pull out bed so my wife could get sleep. Unfortunately we had some very rude neighbors that checked in at 4:00 in the morning and made a tremendous amount of noise. We could hear everything, talking, toilet business, etc. The only reason we are giving the hotel 3 stars, is the excellent response from the staff and managers. They were extremely apologetic and responsive and moved the guests to a different room so that we could enjoy our stay. The grounds are nice with bbq's and fire pits. The pool and fitness center are great. Excellent location within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Yelp
I stayed here with family a little more than a week ago, and we were initially impressed with the amenities. So like any guests, we decided to use them. Our time quickly went sour however, when my mother contracted a serious infection from the provided hotel room's jacuzzi tub. She was the only individual to use the tub, and pathogenic E. coli infection was rapidly progressing by the next day. High fever, pain, and delirium ensued, with medical diagnosis, and powerful antibiotics being necessary. She is still recovering today. We explained the course of incidents to hotel administration, and had our claim immediately denied. Accidents happen. To offer no recourse for such suffering caused by contaminated hotel amenities however, is immoral and reeks of bad business practice. Now, I can only warn others of this potential problem.

Yelp
Absolutely not standards of a Hyatt brand. Thought we were at Motel6. No upgrades given at check-in. Same excuses of being fully sold out. Rooms smelt musky and had cockroaches running around. All the surfaces in the bathroom, TV, remote, side tables, kitchen were filthy, had to disinfect everything. Bathroom pot spilt all water everywhere when flushed. AC and vents made too much noise. Upstairs occupant thumping away all night. Waste of money if you can't even sleep in a hotel room. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Comforter is thin as hell and not as brand name hotels. The closet is filled with junk and smelt bad. No coffee in pool room that was promised as an all day beverage when we checked in. The TV had a wide black line through it and could NOT even watch that properly. Hotel is old as is the lobby area and just running on views.
