We stayed as a family of three, our first time visiting Hyatt and we would definitely rate the hotel a 4.5 out of 5. There were a few trivial things that lose it points, but with costs considered it’s only fair to mention these, however we did have a great stay and for an All Inclusive resort it’s exceptional !||We stayed for 13 nights and loved it. Let’s start with the room we stayed in the club towers in a double room with a sea view and wow what a view that was. The room was clean and big, stocked daily both the fridge and bathroom, particularly liked the turn don service which did not realise was done, but was a nice touch. Plenty of space for us. From reading reviews on here before going we though there was iPad in the room that allowed to order/see what on offer around the hotel, but this seems to have been recently removed in favour of QR codes and using personal devices to access room service etc. Information is also on the tele but I would recommend scanning he QR code and adding the webpage to your phone as this will come in handy when visiting the restaurant or ordering drinks as you can see the menu easier.||We also read on previous post about concierge being available again this was not available and must be higher up club level rooms, however they are available in the lobby and very friendly and approachable. Thanks to Luis at the desk for exchanging of bigger dollars for smaller ones with no problem at all. In the club tower the lobby and bar were great offer a nice selection of food and drinks both in the fridge and at the bar. The fridge was also full stocked. There is some pool tables and a small play area which is handy. We spent a lot of time at night sitting the lobby playing games and a big shout out to Mario and Vicence, they were so friendly and very chatty. Mario taught us about the different types of tequila and Mezcal, which we tried and enjoyed. We looked forward to chatting with him when he was on.||Plenty of entertainment both during the day and at night. There were always activities going on at the main pool and other activities at Punta Vista pool which we spend most of our time slightly quieter side. Both beaches were stunning, and we were very lucky with the seaweed. We particularly liked that when coming back of the beach you were asked your name and room number to check that you stayed at the hotel, which is a great safety aspect, this was also the case when entering the hotel at the main entrance after being out of the complex. Staff even checked the hotel at night with security making sure guest were safe at night. We felt safe throughout our stay. ||Well done to the entertainment team particular shout out to Jonathan, Michelle and Sandra for their water aerobics class these were great fun! We knew the gym was for over 16’s only but the other activities such as aqua bike do not say an age limit next to it, myself and our 12 year booked in at the club lobby after the lady phoned the gym the next morning we turned up and she was told no because it was for over 16’s so I never took part. I can see why it is for over 16’s however this could have been clearer when booking as she was disappointed, she couldn’t take part! Small things, but these often disappoint most. ||Daniela for the wine and canvas activity, I would recommend this You do not need to be a painter to do this trust me, I have a great beach picture as a souvenir that looks nothing like what I should have painted but was a great laugh.||Food and beverage- not once did we struggle to find somewhere to eat from the restaurants to food trucks to rooms services and the daily grills and BBQ’s we were spoiled for choice. We visited a few places more than once as we really enjoyed the food and service.||We went to Tradewinds (8 times) both for breakfast and dinner and thank you to the friendly staff each time we visit- Alfredo, Felipe, Miguel and Diana. I would recommend the omelettes, granola bowl for breakfast and for dinner, the steak was fantastic, the salmon was very tasty We liked everything about those restaurants. A few times having to ask for cutlery after out food was out as table were not always set up. But by far our favourite breakfast restaurant. We liked the bar set up in the morning with pastries and fresh fruit and drinks and at night different salad type selection.||Habaneros for lunch we visited here three times during our stay and the first 2 times it was brilliant both the food and service. On our first visit we sat on the beach and Rafeal was excellent and making sure we had everything we needed even drinks to go. The view was just stunning along with the food, Carlos the manager also checked on us and even remember us on our second visit and around the hotel too. Our second visit Eli and Fredando offered great service also and the food again was delish. Would recommend the EL GUAYABO cocktail. However, our third visit was on our last day, and we were very disappointed as the food and service was to up to the same standards as it has previously been, the staff were rushed off their feet and food was not great that we left most of it and We left disappointed. However the first two visits were brilliant.||Moongate (4 times including the Teppanyaki table) this was my favourite dinner places. A thank you to Baltahzar (would recognised each visit) and Martin for their brilliant service. The food here is amazing and would highly recommend the Slamon, and the Pad Thai. The teppanyaki table was a brilliant experience and the chef are great and very chatty with all the guests.||We visited the buffet a few times for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there is a great selection and something for everyone. We had the best quesadilla we ever tasted. Friday night is fish night if you like fish you will lokes this. They even had a children section which is thought was great.||The grill/BBQ and food trucks offer a wide selection of food daily and we often had lunch at these spots. They have a taco stand outside the sweetie shop these were beautiful available at night if you fancy something to eat without ordering room service. We order room service one morning for breakfast from placing the order to the food arriving it took 30 mins very quick, and the food was great with a selection of pastries. The coffee shop and sweetie shop were a big hit and plenty of selections of everyone.||We had lunch at trez cervrzas for lunch and really enjoyed the food and service we went twice for dinner and found the experiences and service was slow and not the same as it has been in other places or at lunch. We also eat as Lorzanos and chevies and thought both places were ok.||We done the carnivore experience and this was worthwhile, who wouldn’t want a BBQ on the beach. The view was stunning, the food was brilliant so much to choose from, the entrainment during and after was brilliant. The fire show was fabulous. Overall, this was amazing and so glad that we done this. Highly recommend this experience.||Worth trying Mexican night which is next to the main pool, which a great section of food and entertainment, from singers, to stalls both indoors and outdoors, followed by the Mexican show. Worth a visit. This is normally on a Thursday night.||I have never been somewhere that allergies and dietary requirements are such a big thing, you get asked when entering a restaurant, then again by your waiter, The staff are always checking, and this is something that is brilliant if you are worried about going to due allergies or dietary requirements.||Drinks – A great selection of drinks both non-alcoholic and alcohol, we particularly like the margarita’s and found had these however I did try a good few cocktails and our 12-year-old by many frozen virgin drinks and this was never to much trouble for the staff to make. Thank you to Alexis, Joel at the main pool for their service and Viviane, Clara, Dulgine for their service at the Punta vista pool. ||A special thank you to Evelio who was excellence and always checking in on us, speaking away about his family and life and giving us information about events/experiences around the hotel.||We went to Juana Margarita to try different types of margaritas on one occasion we asked for a Ziva tequila (on the menu) the staff asked us what was in it and we showed them and they said that it was only after 5pm that this drink was made due to different staff making different drinks. We went back a few days later and asked again for a ziva before 5pm and the staff made it so not sure if this is a thing or not but would be helpful if it was to be on the menu that it’s only after 5pm so guest know. This bar is a juice bar in the mornings offering a wide range of smoothies. ||The main pool margarita cart (next to the dolphins) was brilliant and strong and thanks to Mario for teaching us about the different types were able to try a few and see which ones we liked.||We done the dolphin experience on our last day and this was truly terrifying but amazing experience all at the same time, I realise this will not be for everyone. We really enjoyed it, and you can tell that staff do care for the dolphins, and they are well looked after. We were able to do lots of different things with them and asked the staff many questions about them. The only downside is the price they want to charge for pictures. We did in fact get all our photos but only after the price was lowered (drastically). If this is something you would like, then I would recommend it as it was truly an experience that we loved.||All in all, we had a brilliant stay, and this was all down to all the staff and the hard work that goes into the hotel from management, front of house, cleaners, pool cleaners, gardeners, beach cleaners, bar and restaurant staff. The staff really do make it and I would say this was the best holiday we have had! I look forward to returning in two years and meeting the staff again! ||Thank you, Hyatt Ziva, for making my dream holiday the best holiday!

This is our second visit and we already have our next one scheduled for 2026. We love this resort. The location is perfect with two beaches to choose from. Cabana service is expensive but worth it. It includes 2 facials and 2 coconuts plus the bar/food service all day long. If you need or want something just ask, the staff always tries to accommodate. You can also snorkel right from the North beach and see some fish. |We upgraded to the adult's only Turquoise tower and had a great room overlooking the pool and ocean. The drinks, like most AI are not strong, but you can ask for doubles or with upgraded alcohol (some brands do cost extra). The food quality and variety is very good and they always have in-between food options available even late night.

first time at all exclusive resort, picked Ziva in Cancun and really enjoyed the experience. I liked that it is large enough to have many options, but not so large that need to take golf carts to go from one place to another. The beach is nice, can swim in it. The pools are also really nice. I thought the room was really nice, enjoyed the ocean front terrace. The food was good, much better than I expected for inclusive resort. I liked the French and Italian restaurants as well as the Mexican restaurant on the beach that had ceviche and seafood dishes. The steak restaurant, Tradewinds, was also nice. The buffet breakfast was good with large variety. I really enjoyed the bar, the Den, and their classes and their cocktails. Only miss for me was the Chinese restaurant, especially the hibachi meal, definitely skip this.

This place is heaven for kids. There’s a great area that dolphins swim and live in, tons of restaurants, and activities. Food: not super great. Stick to the food carts/trucks if you can, they come out during the day. They have the best food. When we went, the buffet was much smaller. It was divided between the main buffet and Moongate. Not impressed at the buffet or the hibachi restaurant. Although the omelettes were pretty good as well as the chilaquiles. Room service was prompt and easy to order. My favorite were the shrimp tacos. Food truck and stands often had grill options, burritos and a seasonal truck with Asian food. You can also get a Hyatt Ziva coconut for about $200-$250 pesos. The coffee shop and dessert shop is wonderful to get fruit, coffee and to fuel your sugar cravings. Rooms: clean, basic, and somewhat large. We had an often front so it was nice and quiet as well as next to the seafood restaurant. Just wasn’t a fan of the walk to the main area especially with a younger kid. Service: during peak hours, it was extremely hard to even get my water refilled at restaurants and the buffet. Don’t even think about it during the pool. Location: super great location on the coast with a short walk into town. There’s a large, somewhat gourmet grocery store about a 10 minute walk away where you can get sunscreen, food, souvenirs and even toys, swim wear, and practically anything else you need. Activities: great activities such as pool games, fitness classes like Pilates or yoga, mixology classes and of course the dolphins where you pay a hefty price. The activity itself was $100-150 USD but the photos START at $189 USD. If you stay until everyone has left, they’ll negotiate the price with you to give you the top tier of photos for the bottom tier price. Best bet is to pay someone to take photos for you. There’s also an arcade to spend some time when it rains or cool down. It is pretty small (and you need to pay for a card and load it with money). Kids club also has some special activities like night activities like teepees and movies or lab kids (science activities). Pool and Beach: beach beats out the pool with little to no seaweed and many areas where it’s shallow. Great free options for paddle boarding or kayaking. My kid’s favorite part was room service, dolphin watching, and unlimited desserts. My favorite was the nightly shows especially the special Mexican show they did for Day of the Dead and unlimited decent coffee. Con’s of the place included how crowded it often got, the lack of options at the buffet as well as it not being good, and when we went, it was rainy, the floors were SO slippery! Overall, great place for kids and if your kids are willing to do kids’ club at night, you’ll be able to get away and maybe try a bar or adult dining experience.

I would highly recommend staying at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. The hotel location is great. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Its proximity to the beach is perfect. The Pool area is great; there were several pools. And you could swim with the dolphins if you are in to that. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is available onsite to assist with scheduling excursions and they are very knowledgable about activities. I did the Catamaran trip with snorkeling and the pyramid Chichen Itza tour, which was a lot of fun. The food was average, but there was some restaurants that were better than others. And there was plenty food of options. And bar options were available. The nightly entertainment was family friendly. Great Choice for an Awesome Vacation.

This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and we brought our toddler along. After months of research (and a nice Chase boost offer), we decided on Hyatt Ziva Cancun. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by staff and handed cold towels which was a nice touch after traveling. A team member gave us a quick rundown of the property as he walked us to check-in. Side note: he did try to sign us up for a timeshare presentation the next day, offering a free cabana and massage as an incentive. It was a bit lowkey but easy to spot but just a heads up for future guests. Once checked in, we found the hotel to be very clean, beautiful, and full of friendly staff. The pools and beaches are conveniently close to the rooms. They also have activities throughout the day, and have a kids club where you can leave your kiddo (4-12 y/o I think). There are plenty of dining options - some great, some just okay. The buffet was consistently solid and offered different dishes daily. La Bastille was a lovely spot for a more elegant dinner, and Habaneros was perfect for seafood by the water. Our room was cleaned multiple times a day, and the housekeeping team was always cheerful. One small downside: the coffee at the café wasn't great, but it did the job. Also, the resort has captive dolphins, which felt a bit sad to see though they seemed well cared for. Overall, it was a wonderful first all-inclusive experience. We wouldn't be opposed to coming back!

This place is beautiful - will not comment on how economical or not - but got my worth while staying here. It’s an elaborate resort with self contained activities beaches pools restaurants etc! Lock your self here and you will do fine! 5 start quality - what won this for me - is the staff! Very very sweet & hospitable - each and every one! Come with kids - they won’t come out of the pools or beaches! Don’t miss the corn ribs from Chevys diner! Asian restaurant great also - Italian restaurant great too! The buffet place - the menu can get better - but the stalls great for meat eaters! All in all - great retreat! Javier at front desk, Alexis at the cabanas, Janet at Chevys diner, Neftali at the Italian eatery, Alejandro at the pool side - just some names for shoutouts!

Google
An amazing vacation spot! The resort is beautiful with breathtaking ocean views and a perfect location surrounded by clear blue water. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and modern, and the service is outstanding — everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay special. The restaurants offer a great variety of food, and everything tasted fresh and high quality. I paid a bit extra for this trip, but it was absolutely worth it — the comfort, atmosphere, and hospitality made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

Yelp
Food was delicious!!! HABANEROS has the best tostadas. The main reason to do my review is because of Victor Briones. He would go the extra mile to make my husband and I so welcome. He was the only bartender that took his time and make the most delicious drinks. All the drinks Ive added he made. If you decide to stay here please ask for him!

Yelp
I had a weeklong stay at the Hyatt Ziva which happened to coincide with Hurricane Helene in the middle of the stay. During the storm we were quarantined in our rooms (for safety) and most of the resort had to be closed with very limited food service. It occurred to me how difficult it would be to garner a five star review in the midst of a hurricane, and I immediately decided that this resort deserved one and here is why. Here are some tips should your vacation happen to coincide with a tropical storm or hurricane: 1. The staff is absolutely committed to making your stay comfortable and safe. We had about a 24 hour interruption in activities and restaurant service. 2. The rooms are well-built and maintained well, but hurricane storm winds caused water to seep into the room, even on the third floor, and we heard that multiple rooms had the same issue. The staff came to squeegee our room floor and was kind enough to bring extra towels for mopping. Keep a couple of dry ones for your own shower later. 3. The staff worked tirelessly before, during, and after the storm. They picked up immensely heavy cabanas to put them on solid ground beforehand and they moved furniture out of the lobby and from our balconies before the storm hit. Afterward, there were staff all over the resort cleaning water from the floors so that everything could reopen. 4. Watch the announcements on the in-house television channel. They kept us apprised in both English and Spanish as to the current state of affairs in the resort, including when we needed to stay in the rooms, when it was safe to come out, and what services were available at any time. 5. Although formal room service was suspended during the quarantine period, they did offer sack meals to be brought to the room on request. 6. No alcohol is going to be served during the storm. The staff is working as hard as it can to make the resort functional again and no one needs to have to go out and look for some fool that got drunk and decided to stand on the balcony pretending to be Leonardo DiCaprio on the Titanic. 7. We were asked to stay in our rooms during the worst of the storm. The winds and rain were whipping down all the corridors. However, the buffet was open for service again by about noon. It was the only restaurant available that night and by the next day every restaurant was back in service, even the beachside restaurant, Habaneros. The staff was uniformly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. On the two occasions when I had to ask where something was, the staff I asked immediately volunteered to escort me there. We learned during our stay that guests are expected to eat in the restaurants and they don't offer take out. Room service is included. The restaurants were uniformly above average to excellent. Every restaurant asked for the room number and the guest name and they addressed us by name. They always asked us whether there were any special allergies or food requirements and they accommodated the vegetarian in our group. The only restaurant that I would hesitate to recommend is La Bastille. It's the French restaurant and adults only. I suspect that it's not because of the ambiance as much as because of the pace of service. There is a cleverly worded sign on the table which advises you that meals are prepared when you order and will take a long time to come out. So it took a full two hours plus for appetizers, entree, and dessert. If I were to do it again, I'd go for the appetizers only because you should not miss the French onion soup or the pate fashioned to look like fetching little ducklings. There are some additional upgraded dinners offered during the week, such as a surf and turf night and there was a carnivore night as well. If you decide that you need to go a grocery store for any reason (either for things you forgot, apparel, souvenirs, or something to bring home), there's a huge two story supermarket less than a five minute walk away. Right behind it is a small mall with all manners of souvenirs. They all took credit cards. There are several classes of rooms at the resort. I booked the ocean view room which offered a partial view of the ocean and full view of the resort. In retrospect, I'd consider the full ocean view a relative downgrade from the partial view. You won't see the dolphins or the lights or the pool view, though you do get to see the waves all the time, so it depends on your preference. I think that the rooms on that side of our tower did take on less storm water. The dolphin view rooms are on the same side as the ocean view rooms but they are at ground level. In all, we had a wonderful time and the resort quality was fantastic. The staff was exceptionally hardworking and pleasant and this is at a resort where gratuities are included already (though the staff does accept additional tips). I would definitely recommend it without hesitation.

Yelp
Hate that there are captive dolphins. The pool in which they stay in is so small. They could easily travel back and forth within 10 seconds. Please don't support this and don't book rides/activities. I went to this resort not realizing they had dolphins and it was just a sad sight to see. Dolphins are sentient beings, highly intelligent, sociable, and even realize their own existence and their surroundings.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful location. Everyone/ staff were incredibly helpful and assisted in every way. Stayed and enjoyed the full amenities of the all-inclusive package. My family and I had a fantastic time. Thank God we left before the hurricane. I pray the wonderful people there will be fine. Cannot wait to return!!

Yelp
This resort is absolutely amazing! The rooms are incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff is so professional and always goes the extra mile to make your stay perfect. Plus, the rooms come with fully stocked mini-bars at no extra cost. There are multiple pools on the property, and I highly suggest renting a cabana. You'll have your own personal butler, access to a special menu, and even a mini facial. The food options here are top-notch. They offer something special by the pool every day. And let me tell you, Lorenzo and Chevys breakfast buffet is a must-try with its delicious options. We also indulged in the surf and turf dinner at the beach with Habenors, and it was worth every penny. Even the lunch options were fantastic. We will definitely be returning again to this resort next year.

Yelp
This resort is outstanding. Outstanding enough that I've been here 4 times and don't have any plans to stop the yearly visits. I've stayed at multiple resorts in Cancun and you get what you pay for. Everything about Ziva is on another level. Everyone is friendly and i mean they will go above and beyond for you to make sure that you get what you need and will happily help you out. The coffee shop puts all other coffee shops to shame. The food - something for everyone. Sit down restaurants, buffets, and amazing pool side food, they have thought of everything. The candy store, yes, the candy store, is exactly as amazing as it sounds. Pool is clean, the free water sports were great, and they do not mess around with your safety. My daughter went on a kayak and they stayed in the water until she got back to make sure she got back safely. Best of all, the entertainment. The team lead by Yoe was full of energy, so entertaining and really gave you something to do at all times. He took the time to get to know us and made us feel important. He remembered us and every time we saw him throughout our stay, he always stopped to say hi and catch up and ask us if there was anything he could do for us. All in all, super clean, amazingly friendly, helpful and hospitable staff, with amenities that you'll never want to leave. Everything about Ziva gets better and better evey year. They're always improving the resort and they maintain everything. Love it, do not hesitate to book a stay here!

Yelp
I came here in Sept-Oct 2023 for 7 days and it was really nice, a little too nice. I was initially concerned about the weather, but other than the humidity it was a beautiful trip! The staff are all VERY polite and EXTRA courteous. The location is perfect because it's located at to edge and you can see the North and East Horizon. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, and a lot of destination packages like Tulum and Isla Mujeres. But I think 7 days was a little too much because we started running out of things to do haha. It was a little on the pricier side but, if your budget is within the means, I would recommend the Turquoize rooms because you get a personal "butler", a private infinity pool so you don't need to deal with all the children, and either a small swim-out pool (only on the 2nd floor) or a jacuzzi in the balcony (I spent a lot of time there!) Enjoy!

Yelp
Came here for four nights. Stayed at the Turquoise Tower Sky Suites. Had butler service which was the best part of this hotel. The room was very nice, spacious, lots of closet and drawer space. The bed was an extremely firm mattress, which would have benefited from a cushion top. Wifi did NOT work the majority of the time in our room, which was bad bc I always work on my computer. The curtains were NOT blackout or long enough for the floor. Every morning, was woken up by bright sunshine unfortunately. Hotels should always be blackout and big enough for the windows. The good news is that our view was beautiful ocean view, and had a jacuzzi that we used nightly. Food: It is an all-inclusive property that honestly is made for kids only. The food is not very good, portions are very small, service really stinks. They don't care about service as the tip is included as part of your initial payment (very $$$ fyi). There are about 7 main restaurants and we hit about 5. The buffet restaurant had cold, overcooked, old food. The Italian restuarant was horrible service, hostess forgot about us. Habeneros reopened while we there and had ceviche. Probably the only place with nice fresh food. The outside buffets they had the pool were empty, they rolled their eyes when we asked to refill the nacho cheese sauce, or whatever. They pawned it off to another server, and ultimately it was replaced about an hour later. The hostess at the sushi restaurant was clueless, couldn't tell us when we were going to be sat. The wait times for the italian restaurant was over an hour when there were many tables ready. Plus the buzzer never went off, I had to go in and check again, and they said "oh, your table is ready". Pool: POOL WAS HORRIBLY COLD, WITH NO HEAT AT ALL. What is the purpose of paying top $$$ for a hotel property that boasts itself on the pools they have, when NO ONE could even go in because it was freezing cold (and the winds were crazy there, so heated pool was absolutely necessary). Very disappointed. There are many pools including the adult only one...all UNheated and freezing. The only perk to the adult one was NO kids, and the tacos al pastor served pool side were the best! No food service around any of the pools, you have to go in line at one of the buffets that they did not refresh or keep up with the food. No service for drinks for the most part unless you happen to flag down one of the few servers. There are a few bars scattered around. Even though you can 'ask' for a double, they NEVER gave extra alcohol. We had a cabana service the last day, which was the highlight of our trip, with great service. But NO MUSIC at the pool was boring. Only entertainment was at the main pool. I booked with Costco, which I will never do again. Costco partnered with the worst transportation service. No one there to tell us where to go. We had to go way outside at the end of the parking lot, no signs showing us the way, while all sorts of people were trying to steer us into their cars/vans and confused us. Once we found the area, there was a HUGE line, even though I paid top dollar for a private care. We waited over an hour to get to our hotel. Horrible service (BD Experience). And then to get transported back to airport on last day, they made us leave FOUR HOURS prior to departure. When i tried to change it to a more reasonable departure time, they gave an extra FIVE MINUTES... Butler Service: Rubelsi and Anna were phenomenal. They booked us a private pier dinner (better food than any of the restaurants combined) and of course it was separate cost, but worth it. They booked us our cabana, they booked us the Hibachi table. They were the reason we had a somewhat decent time overall. I would come back only for them but honestly, won't be coming back to this property at all. I stayed at Nizuc a few years ago and would go back there in a sec. The food and beverage manager did come to talk to me (Ruby said we had some poor experiences), but honestly nothing changed, and the experience was already done. This property is for families with children. It's NOT for adults who want good food, good service. I was not aware of this fact for adults, so caution to those that think the Turquoize Tower (adults only) is going to give you better food or service. I will not be back, and regret not booking somewhere else.

Yelp
Lol this place does now allow reservations for any of the restaurants. When you go to eat all the places are full 1 to 2 hour wait so you end up ordering pizza delivered. This place is a joke and easily one of the worst resorts I've stayed at in the world. We went to Mexico as a last minute vacation, we usual go to the Caribbean or Hawaii but man, now i know why even Mexicans don't want to stay here.

Yelp
Our family of four went during Spring Break, which may be the worst time to visit the Hyatt Ziva because by Friday, it was noticeably more packed than earlier in the week, and because of the open expanse of the resort, you could see people everywhere all the time. With that being said, this was an amazing all-inclusive resort. PROS: The food is excellent; overall it's probably 4/5 stars for the food, but there are so many choices that you can find some real gems. Also, you can't try all the food in a week because of all of the options. The fruit and smoothie options are icing on the cake. The service is nice too: I never talked to any employees who were not smiling and helpful. The Kidz Club is mid; our kids were in the upper age range and didn't really enjoy it, but I could see how under 8 year olds would have fun. The teen club (Moods) was decent, but very few kids in there (basically had some video games, ping pong, and TVs). The facilities are impeccably clean, and I'm confident people are cleaning 24/7. CONS: I felt like I needed to tip everyone for everything. Because it's all-inclusive, everything is free but that adds extra pressure to tip on top for the good service. I tipped probably $200 total for the week (private shuttles, servers, cabana activities, room cleaning, etc.). Also I'm not sure if I over-tipped or under-tipped: because everything is free, I didn't know how much I should be tipping. Also, I'm 90% certain the alcohol is all watered down. Cocktails have very little alcohol in them, and I had a glass of scotch without ice that tasted much weaker than the exact same scotch at home. I ended up drinking wine most of the week because it's hard to water that down, although I never felt like I had too much to drink, so perhaps the wine was watered down as well (I never saw anybody open a bottle of wine or liquor, so I can't verify if they got watered down). Also, I never felt secluded from all the other people. Again, because it was Spring Break, and because of the open expanse of the resort, there were people everywhere. There were really no areas to escape from the crowds. PRO TIPS: 1) Bring lots of small bills for tipping. They accept US$$ there, so no need for MXN pesos. 2) Rent cabanas as soon as you get there. The cabanas were the highlight of our trip and worth every penny ($150 for a small and $200 for double decker). They come with coconuts, head/shoulder massages, aloe spray, and dedicated servers who bring drinks and food. The cabanas are available 10am-6pm. 3) Don't bother leaving the resort. It's a short walk to the flea market and shopping areas, and although we're glad we experienced them, it was stressful and honestly pretty gross. As per usual in Mexico, all prices are negotiable, which can either be fun or stressful. For us, it was more the latter. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Our driver said it's in the top 5 resorts in Cancun. We are considering going back already.

Yelp
We took a December holiday and it was perfect! Even though the weather says rain all week, the rain came and went with some cloudy hours. The resort was wonderful! We got the swim up room facing the ocean. The pools are excellent, and heated. We loved everything about this resort: the scenery with clear blue water surrounded the hotel, the pools, the food, the entertainment, and most of all the people that work there. They all are very friendly and helpful. We likeed that you can walk up to all the restaurants, coffee shop and candy without reservations, except for the tempenyaki tables that we did have to reserve. The entertainment was great, something for everyone from kids painting, dancing, bouncy ball, beach valley ball, and my favorite, the water acrobatics. We definitely recommend this place for beach vacation!

Yelp
This property is absolutely stunning. The resort is a good size and has a variety of dining options. It has nightly shows at 8pm that are a hit and miss but the kids seem to love them. Several pools, including a kiddie pool. They also have a kids zone where you can drop off your kids if they are between ages 4 and 12. There is a private beach with beautiful scenery. They have added a lot of cabanas (that you have to rent) that blocks some of the view (con). Staff was amazing and very attentive to your every needs. We had an experience dealing with the manager and he was a top class professional. This place is worth it in every way. Tip: Moongate, which is the habachi restaurant, is very popular so you should make reservations as soon as you arrive at the property.

Yelp
We were invited here by our host, PLAYA HOTEL and RESORTS to attend the Spotlight Awards. My partner, who manages a travel and events business, was invited for his contributions of having hosted various corporate events at 'Playa Resorts' Properties in both the Caribbean & Mexico. This property is an exemplary version of such a place where families, or corporate groups, can find many different types of experiences and activities to satisfy each taste. Location is key! They are experts at hosting weddings, and parties of every level. The location and hotel property is physically conducive to both quiet and more active spaces running concurrently without interfering with one another. There is a fine tuned energy, as each employee is focused on providing their customers with the best experience possible. There is a lovely lighthouse, faro, adjacent and walking distance from this property. Must see! Also on the property there are, I believe, 6 dolphins, so your family can also have a Seaworld style dolphin encounter while you're sunbathing by the pool! They are treated with respect by the trainers and wildlife experts. The views are also lovely from one end of Punta Cancun beach to the other side, where the Atlantic & Caribbean seas merge. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and there are always sight lines to the sea. We stayed in the Adults only tower "Turquoise" .So Glad I had an opportunity to enjoy a three-day stay. Would definitely recommend you try it out as well!

Yelp
Best all-inclusive hotel I've ever been to. I've been to Cancun before but not like this! I booked for a friend's destination wedding. Initially, I was worried about the cost, but once I got there, all my worries melted away. I made my stay worth every penny, lol. Right when we arrived, we received welcome champagne drinks. They offer a variety of restaurants from Japanese fusion, French cuisine, Italian, American, brunch, seafood, Mexican and the buffet serves a different array of foods. There was also a cafe that was open daily for coffee and pastries. Every day there were fresh churros made at the churro cart near the cafe. There's another shop open with desserts. There's also a brewery, drinks/cocktails available, wine tasting. There's so much offered there, I probably am just touching the surface. I'm vegetarian and felt there were many vegetarian options during my stay. I do wish there was more Mexican cuisine offered. I ate and drank everything that I came back home 5 lbs heavier, lol. There is so much to do there! Their private beach is stunning! The waters were crystal blue and the beaches sand was beautiful! Way better than my first visit to Cancun. They also have the public beach on the other end which was nice and enjoyable too. Customer service is great! Everyone is very friendly. I loved my time there as a vacation and destination wedding! Some cons, they have dolphins in captivity there. The pool is very small for these creatures that shouldn't be kept in captivity. We asked concierge for some recommendations for shopping for souvenirs. We wanted a more "local" experience for leaving the resort. Instead we rode a taxi to a "high end" shopping mall that seemed to replicate what is already in the U.S. Cancun's economy is driven by tourism. Everything is a tourist trap but that's expected. All in all, I cannot wait to return again. By the time I had to leave, I wished I could stay just a day or two more. Book that vacation and go enjoy yourself!

Yelp
This place is wonderful! We have been there 3 times and will go back. The property is extremely clean, safe, comfortable and the beach is perfect. There are 2 beach areas to choose from, literally depending on the direction of the wind. There are several restaurants, all good! We stay in the turquoise area. It is an adult only area. David, our Butler, is terrific. The rooms are large and clean. We eat breakfast at Trade Winds. We always request Jason for our server because he is so good. We get a cabana and request Teresa and Ignacio for servers. They are great! When we leave, I recommend Lomas Transfer for airport transportation. They do a nice job.

Yelp
Have been coming to H Ziva Cancun for years. Brought family and countless friends. I have never been so disappointed. There is an expectation of premium quality, when you pay that premium price. Great disappointment! They closed most of (70%) of the Buffet. The service supervisor said sorry we are renovating, they closed the ice cream shop and the Pasteleria for renovation too. The food selections and quality was below average!! I am so upset and sad I don't even want to write the rest of the review. Apparently, October is the slow season so they are saving money but yet they still charge the same prices without telling their guests at booking of missing selections and quality. Sadly, will not return.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning property!!! Visited early March (8th - 12th). The weather was perfect - felt between 84 - 86 degrees with a clear sky. All staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and eager to assist. The check-in process was smooth and the employee transporting our luggage gave us a small tour before reaching our room. If anyone is your party is celebrating a birthday/anniversary let them know; you'll have a beautiful surprise in your room welcoming you! FYI you will have an "environmental fee" at check-out. It's approximately $5/night and mandatory. The rooms are nice. The minifridge is full of beverages (soda, water, beer, juice) and snacks (nuts, chips, cookies) are supplied as well. This is all included AND replenished everyday. In the closet you'll find a robe/slippers and an umbrella ... just in case it rains!!! I mean - who provides an umbrella!?! Room service is 24/7 as well. The only complaint I have regarding the room - it does not get cool enough. I had the thermostat as low as it would go (64 F) with the fan on and still had to remove the sheets to sleep comfortably. Even though the thermostat displayed 64, it felt 74ish. If you're a hot sleeper like me you'll run into this. This location has a main pool (where most families w/ young kids tend to go) and a club pool. However, the main pool is larger. The grill is by the main pool as well - they'll have nachos with several toppings (nacho cheese, guacamole), chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers all off the grill. Per an employee - the club pool will be better for adults and tends to be less crowded with kids. I found this to be true! The cabanas around the pool are extra (~$125) FYI. While relaxing by the pool, employees are walking around taking orders for beverages. 5-star service!!! There are dolphins on the property - I believe you can interact with them for an extra price. Several dining options - I was able to have a different culinary experience every night during my stay! For all the caffeine/coffee lovers - there is a coffee shop. Also, a shop dedicated strictly for sweets!!! OMG I was there every night. They offered ice cream, popcorn, candy, cake and sooo much more. Only one restaurant (hibachi) requires a reservation which I recommend you make ASAP. My party made our reservation the night before and only 5:30 pm & 9:30 pm were available. The gym was amazing and pretty packed - trying not to gain too much "vacation weight" lol. Fitness activities are offered too - sunrise yoga, pilates, water aerobics ... if interested in pilates sign up ASAP - there was a waitlist when I was there. A nightly show with different themes are offered at 8 pm. They went over and beyond! Disney/Marvel/Avatar characters ... don't miss the show! I wanted to experience the zen spa - however the prices are expensive! Over $200 for a 50-minute massage ... absolutely not. This place is pretty pricey however it's worth it. During my visit I didn't leave the resort and didn't feel the need to; everything I needed was there! In my opinion I got my money's worth here!!! Highly recommend this place!!!

Yelp
If I could make this review I would!!!! This place is obviously the best place I've been in my life. My family stayed there and it was amazing. First I went to the pool and there was a bar in there, and I drank really good soda Fanta. then for dinner I went to this restaurant and An actually had Ramen that's my favorite food then I went to this burger place there and it was absolutely amazing. Best fries I ever tasted and amazing milkshake. Then the buffet was absolutely amazing. It had bacon and croissants. end of story. This place is the best place ever don't even try arguing with me. (MUST MUST MUST MUST TRY

Yelp
I've stayed at many all inclusive resorts in the Cancun area and I think this is my favorite by far. First of all Location. I am not usually a fan of staying in Cancun. But this was kind of on a peninsula so it didn't feel as "in" the busy areas like some of the others. Like I didn't feel there were random people on our beach. Plus I also liked that it was in walking distance to various stores and restaurants. (not that we really left but we should/could have. Secondly - Availability of food. We stayed in the club tower and we had access in the lobby to a full bar, a beer/soda/water fridge and various buffet style food/snacks throughout the day. Plus we had a separate quieter pool area with servers and a bar and more food. The main pool always seemed to have something cooking and I liked the coffee shop and bakery. I also liked how there were many restaurants open for lunch. A lot of places I have stayed had very limited options for lunch but this place had so many choices. The brewery was fun. There was a burger joint and an Italian restaurant. There was Mexican on the beach, a buffet, and many breakfast options. Plus there are so many cute bars and dinner options including steak and French cuisine. We tried them all and I can't complain about anything. Third - Pools. They were sprawling and never felt crowded. Service was excellent. AND they were heated. Amazing! The service overall was great. There was plenty of staff to assist with anything and everyone was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean and they provided turn down every night. We had a great mini bar spread of snacks and beverages and they filled them as needed. Room service was amazing. You could even get filet!! It was the first time I ever left a place in tears. Normally I am ready to get back home after a few days of gluttony but this place was so wonderful I really could have used a few more. HIGHLY recommend.

Yelp
I celebrated my 45th birthday here February 2024. I had an amazing time the staff was great. The food was good very peaceful and relaxing I enjoyed it.

Yelp
This hotel has so much potential and fortunately it's in major need of renovations. They are completely understaffed the workers here try to provide their best service as possible, but unfortunately that fall short few restaurant choices between Mexican Italian and a Teppanyaki/steakhouse if you stay longer than four days you're gonna completely run out of food options. The food at the pool is very mediocre. There is no beach that exists if you are thinking of coming to Cancun to stay for the beach look elsewhere.

Yelp
It was a great resort with a lot of good restaurant options! There was a lot of different events that happens during the day and the night ends with a show at the main theater everyday. We really enjoyed the cabanas and exploring the wide variety of food. We did wish there was more to do at night cause most things close at night around 11. The only place open for night owls is the club on the resort. Overall, it was a great place to stay with clean rooms and an awesome view.

Yelp
Bought a cigar here. Smoking area next to my swim up room on the corner in photo. Got strong armed by security for $600 cash for being 5 feet from smoking area. I wish I was exaggerating.

Yelp
We had an amazing time at this all inclusive resort! This is the "family-friendly" Hyatt in Cancun, but I would say the adults have way more fun here! Great for children too, but they definitely make sure the adults are having fun too. We didn't go with any kids but still opted to stay here because of the extensive food/restaurant selection and large sized resort. They have several pools, including infinity pools, and also access to a soft, sandy beach. The ocean was beautiful! We stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect. We tried just about all the restaurants, and my favorites were Habaneros and the French restaurant. But my favorite food was actually the fresh raw oysters large grilled grawns that were served by the carts (also included!) around the pool area! These were served in various days, and we just so happened to be around the pool area when they were there. They have plenty of activities throughout the day, including music and entertainment by the pool, wine/tequila tasting, kayaking/ SUPing, dolphin swimming (additional fee), and just endless amounts of food! The room was wonderful, we were upgraded to the ocean view king suite and it was so nice. Lots of cabinet space and an awesome view from the patio. I highly recommend Hyatt Ziva, and can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
Stayed for an Punjabi Indian wedding. Lovely place. Good food for all inclusive. Drinks are watered down like elsewhere. Would recommend putting mist sprays on ceilings as it gets super hot. Pools are beautiful.

Yelp
I must say that I had low expectations of this establishment. I am not one to do all inclusive. I had tried it before and it has always disappointed. The food choices always seem bland and the food is always the same. Ziva, though! ZIVA!!! Honestly, they blew my mind! Down to every single detail. The employees all love being there and service is top notch. When we arrived were greeted like royalty. They helped us al out of the car. Had towels for us to wipe our hands and face. Those towels were eucalyptus heaven. They gave us champagne. Grabbed all our luggage and followed us to registration. The registration staff offered us more champagne. They walked us to the Turquoise reception because we were staying at the Turquoise Adults only tower and it felt like I was entering a spa. That tower took the service to the next level. Literally felt like I was getting a massage as I checking in. They had water, coffee, snacks, champagne and wine for us to indulge while we checked in. They gave us these handmade bracelets that worked as our room keys. The rooms were incredible! They had a jet jacuzzi in the balcony and they even had a bottle of tequila on ice waiting for us in the room. The food was great. Everything was so fresh! Habaneros was my favorite! Any kind of seafood you wanted freshly made. There were reviews saying that you needed reservation for restaurants, but that was not the case for me. Our party had no issues eating at any of the restaurants. All of their "bottom shelf" liquor was actually mid/high level liquor. One bar was serving casamigos as bottom shelf tequila! They have an amazing selection of liquor. Especially if you have access to the roof top adult pool. They have everything there and it's all included.

Yelp
Writing an update that better suits the service, the property, and the amenities offered at the Hyatt Ziva. Logistics aside, and the "non-modifiable" reservation, this place is beautiful, and worth every bit. First off the staff is amazing. I didn't go into any restaurant, or any bar, or meet any staff who weren't extremely kind, courteous, and helpful. I found myself tipping more often than I had expected. So many things to do, shows to see, music, food, we spent 5 days and 4 nights here, and we still missed out on a couple things. Cabana, Jet Skis, swimming with dolphins.... The main points/tips I have to offer is Habanero for the fried fish, the Mercado buffet for quick eats. The chef's table for a great upscale dining experience, the club for after hours dancing, all the pools have some sort of live music which is great. They have food going around the pools (burgers, hot dogs, paletas, fresh mango, oysters) it's everything you want in an all-inclusive. My only 2 gripes was the early shut down of the bar and club. Understandable, these hard workers gotta rest too. Also the adults only pool at Turqoize, they were very strict with entrance. My friend only wanted to take her influencer IG picture in the infinity pool really fast, and they kicked her out. But other than that, everything about this place is amazing, and if you're considering this area of Cancun for an all-inclusive, look no further. Sorry can't speak of the outside life, though it did look Poppin passing through. All kinds of shopping, and a Hooters.

Yelp
Staff was overall friendly and welcoming . It's an all inclusive so majority of the food and adult drinks are included, some things, like cabana, dolphin adventure , tours piers sunset dinners , steak and lobster dinner were upcharge. This hotel is located in the Eastern part of the cancun peak. Large 3 tower hotel. There was 3 pool areas as well as lounge chairs for the soft white sands mexico has to offer. There's plenty of restaurants, we definitely love Habaneros , a Mexican theme beachside eatery with tacos and margaritas.

Yelp
This is one of the most expensive vacations I've ever been on, and one of the few vacations where everything was worth it. We were there for 1 week and I never wanted to leave. Each building is scented with round the clock aromatherapy. It smelled like fresh oranges and the air conditioning was always cold when you walk into each building. Concierge was top notch, and so were the private butlers. Our stay was all-inclusive (minus the $10 coconuts), so we were never hungry. The coffee bar was top notch. I might have visited that cafe 4-5x a day for matcha in the mornings, lattes before/after lunch, and for chamomile tea at night. The sand in the private beach is some of the softest and whitest sand that I've ever felt. Every single employee was so nice and accommodating, and friendly! Each restaurant has it's own category of food, but I highly recommend going to Habaneros on the beach, Tradewinds, and Bastille (for a fancy meal). EVERYTHING was amazing. I was expecting room service to falter in quality, but the food in room service comes from the various restaurants on the property. I'm sold. This will be the only resort I will come back to whenever I go to Cancun! Tips--if you go, find the Zen spa ASAP. I will be at that spa every day the next time I'm back! :)

Yelp
We came here for my sister's wedding last month and a bunch of us got sick. Took us out for a whole day and on different days. My sister was puking right before she walked down the aisle. They water down their hard alcohol, I assume with tap water. No bueno! A woman named Gisela Lopez reached out to me and said that because I didn't report it on location (a bunch of us did), she couldn't compensate me. She offered me Hyatt points but now she's radio silent on that too. I recommend a property that doesn't water down their hard alcohol.

Yelp
We went for my birthday this past November. Room was clean, our waiters were great, food good, drinks strong. Pools were warm, beach was very clean, clear blue water. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only thing I would change is the kids pool area, small and dated, a fenced in splash pad would be great if they ever do that. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they have dolphins in a small captivity setting for tourists to go in with. They do charge for the cabanas which some other resorts don't.

Yelp
Had an absolutely amazing experience at Hyatt Ziva! Went for my dads birthday, and I have never had such great customer service in my life! First impressions: The Hyatt Ziva is such a beautiful resort, we walked in and it is just breath taking. The view and pool are to die for! Customer service: 10/10 customer service. Everyone is nice, from the front desk staff to the employees who are just walking around, you are sure to be treated right by everyone! Services/Food: There are a variety of things you can do at Hyatt Ziva. You can choose from the 7 restaurants to eat from (I recommend trying the dinner buffet and Italian restaurant), choose to swim at the pools (one on each side of the hotel), go to the beaches (there's 2 sides!), or even enjoy the festivities happening (pool parties, shows, games, etc). No matter what you do here, you're sure to have a lot of fun! Would highly recommend them!

Yelp
Last time I was here I stayed at Hyatt Zilara and heard good things about this place. Ended up talking my boys into staying here and made it happen. Location - This Location is prime to the main central area with restaurants, gift shopping, bars, and clubs. Venue - Place is clean, very big with dolphins in the property and 2 sections of pools. Lots of amenities available here from bars, nightlife, simulation golf, large gym, fine dining, and much more. Rooms - We booked a oceanfront room and the views are great from the balcony. Rooms are clean, not sure about modern but well kept up and not too dated. Staff - Pool bar guy was cool but could of had a friendlier and more upbeat feel to him running the pool bar. Went to the Buffet to buy a bottle of Clase Azul and was told they would drop off bottle in our room, we got a call later saying it was sold out. Was able to find another bottle but was a hassle. Other than that the service was great and everything was on point and super friendly. Drinks - The selection of alchohol here is great as you get quality alcohol included in all inclusive, though I was going to have to pay extra but Titos, Crystalino, Goose, Corralejo and more are included. Food - The food at Zilara was better for the buffet, but as for the restaurants and food booths this place is way better. Some of the food here at Moonlight and Chevys was amazing. Pricing - Pricing for bottles is actually more than the states, and the upgrade fees are a bit high, and overall the resort is in the top 6 more expensive ones in my opinion. You pay for the quality of drinks and food and it's worth it. Overall it was a great experience but would probably not stay here again unless needed. I always Stay at different resorts when in Cancun.

Yelp
It did a really good job on presentation; really pretty. They also had a good amount of stuff; like stores, restaurants, and activities. The food was pretty nice, all inclusive. The steak house, Trade Winds, is really recommended though. The steak size IS a LITTLE thin. The pool view and all is pretty amazing. Someone put a booger into the water though.

Maneli M.

Yelp
This place is horrible. If you don't rent cabana they don't serve you food. Pool bartenders inside and outside of the pool are horrible people. All day people are trying to sell stuff, I felt like I was in the streets versus a hotel. Stay away there's much nicer family hotels with better food and nicer bartenders. The whole place needs to be remodeled or shut down .Hyatt is a big corporation that doesn't care. This place is a bad.

Yelp
What a wonderful spot for us first timers. We came for a wedding and it was absolutely beautiful from start to finish; the experience was fantastic. We arrived on a Sunday with another couple a s checkin was a breeze. I knew immediately I wanted to upgrade our room on personal preference and it was so smooth and affordable. Our receptionist was happy to hand us water and champagne while we waiter for our luggage. From lobby to our rooms was less than 10 mins Our room was smaller than the resort view from The pyramid but it had an ocean view, so how can you complain? We're hardly in the room but the evening and mornings, when it counted it was soooo worth it! The amenities are so fabulous! Like anything you could want you could have and very quick too. You can everything from dolphin swims, to golf simulation, dance parties at night and everything in between. I had a 55 deep tissue massage. I'm 5'9 and the masseuse has to be 5'0 and she delivered the best massage and then offered me the spa the rest of the day to recover. Highly recommend. They're are so many restaurants to stop into and obviously all inclusive means no limits, though I don't think anyone in our party was irresponsible ordering. We spent most of our days at the pool with astounding service. Drinks never went dry. My only complaint is lack of variety in drinks, I was burnt out by day 5. They do not carry any American beers besides Heineken, and the drinks not strong unless requested. The wedding itself was beautiful and smooth. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. And we look forward to coming back.

Yelp
Amazing unforgettable vacation. Mainly writing this review to shoutout my favorite staff and places at this resort so they get the recognition they deserve. All truly great institutions are built by the individual people who put their heart into their work - these are the people my 5 stars go to. - The gym was in top notch condition, my partner and I went every day and attended the numerous classes, including pilates, z-jump, yoga. ***Carlos and Patricia* were amazing at teaching the classes, especially Patricia you can tell she has higher training for the classes she teaches. The fitness department was a jewel in our experience and balanced out the eating and lounging. -My partner and I booked the romantic dinner by the beach for his birthday. It was honestly the best birthday gift I could give him, he said so himself. Our server was ***Alfredo*, amazing gentleman who was detail oriented and personable. He offered us the drink menu but did not pressure us so we felt very comfortable. He took pictures of us and went above and beyond. We were surprised with a cake at the end as well. -***Jonathan* at Saasil was absolutely a pleasure to interact with. We met him when we attended the tequila tasting, he was knowledgeable about the history of the alcohol and he even stayed behind to answer our questions, including why there is a worm in tequila sometimes. I appreciated that the session was also to advertise purchasing the alcohol but we never felt awkward or pressured in any way, which made it enjoyable and unforgettable. The bar itself is beautifully decorated and his staff are friendly and go above and beyond, we ended up trying the worm in the tequila at Saasil and it is a memory we will never forget! -Moongate was my favorite restaurant (see my individual review for Moongate's own Yelp page). The food was consistent and delicious - the sashimi was amazing for a resort food! The staff was friendly and warm and I always left feeling happy. Shoutout to ***Sergio Aguilar* for keeping this place top notch. -The ***gentlemen in the coffee shop Casa del Cafe* were such hard workers! Flexible and willing to modify some drinks. So many guests would go to the cafe throughout the day and they were always so lovely. The pastries at the cafe were delicious too, my favorites were the cream filled puffs, the goat cheese pastry, and the pretzel. Overall 10/10 experience, would go back to a Hyatt resort. This one was especially memorable due to the individual interactions with the workers on a day to day basis. The people there are what makes the place special!

Yelp
I have several major complaints about Hyatt Ziva Cancun. First of all, the resort and property itself is beautiful, well designed, and maintained. Earlier this month, January 2024, my fiancé arranged plans with the resort, Hyatt Ziva Cancun, to have a "romantic dinner with rose petals" (as described by the resort) in preparation to propose. The location, set up, dinner, day pass for the resort, and service were all confirmed via email. On the day of the event, the hotel dismissed our reservation and gave it away to another hotel guest. This is out of line, uncalled for, and the lack of management over the situation made the proposal night a bit overwhelming and stressful. There was confusion with several employees recognizing the reservation, and one even bringing us to our private pier on the beach. Shortly after arriving, we were told to leave and our reservation was no longer "available". This is poor service and management from the hotel. The treatment was completely unacceptable. We tried to talk to several employees and managers to fix my fiancé's proposal plans but were denied every time. We decided to no longer discuss with the hotel staff and leave. A couple days later, our family members who were staying at Hyatt Ziva, invited us to stay for the day and we proceeded to purchase day passes. Due to the time limit on the passes, my fiancé and I had to leave by 5 in the evening. By 5 p.m., we went through the check out process at the registration desk and waited for our Uber to come pick us up. We had notified a hotel valet employee when we were ready to leave the resort by Uber. While we were at the entrance waiting for our ride, one security guard refused our request to leave and made us return to the front desk. The guard did not believe we had the necessary information to be on the resort grounds. After discussing with the front desk employee, we were allowed to leave the property. Again, poor service, communication, and common courtesy. A proposal was ruined and an exit from the resort was complicated. This hotel is beautiful but the service is alarming and poor. I'm sad to have this type of experience at such a lovely hotel.

Yelp
beautiful grounds great view food is alright. showers are the best part of the room, kids enjoyed the open pool. fourth day Hyatt turned the water off, went to breakfast then went back to room water was off, Juan at the front desk said minor delay, daughter had to use the bathroom but water was off and toilet was SOILED ", if you know what I mean! my son suggested she go in the jungle next door like he did, it was extremely gross situation that Hyatt could of avoided and after four hours we moved to the Moon Palace, what a great place.

Yelp
If you're a smoker don't go here. They hit us for $580 usd for smoking on the balcony. Give me a break... on the balcony?! There's a designated area at the far corner with no shade and security guards constantly herding you into the "area" which seems to change with every guard. Some don't give a flip, some want all 20 people smoking at the same time to huddle up like penguins around the little ashtray. Service is good. Not great, but good. These people bust their butts. Service around the pool is slow, but decent for the amount of people. Restaurant service is better. They do a good job and an even better job when they're tipped. As far as food goes, you won't starve. There's plenty. The market is mediocre but the amount of choices makes up for it. We really liked the steakhouse, sports bar, and hibachi place although it's portions are small.

Yelp
We had an amazing time on our one week vacation. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Julio at the Hookah Lounge did everything possible to make each night fun and enjoyable. Santiago, our server at our cabana and the rooftop pool went out of his way to make sure we had plenty of drinks and food. But the superstar was our amazing butler America. She catered to our every request and made sure we had a blast. Thanks to everyone for making our trip a magical experience that we will never forget.

Yelp
So this is an overall review of the entire place stayed 5 days 4 nights The term all inclusive is widely misused in a situation like this. Anything that is worth doing or having for the price paid for a family of 4 should be included as the term inclusive is used when booking. -Cabanas are an extra cost although they are right next to the pool and by the beach ... you get the same service just an additional bonus of a paid coconut water for 2 and a facial ... -Food and drinks are already included so that's there but what are you really paying for $109. Plus what you already paid. -The drinks (lol) being a mixologist and a beverage director, something is completely off with the cocktails not sure if it's the mixers used but the after taste kills it.. friends and family complained until we came up with the idea of just ordering shots and the chasers on the sides.... -The Food... Asian infusion We ordered sushi now being a huge sushi fan (you should check out sushi Jin and the Hamilton in DC and VA) when you digest the sushi you can clearly taste that it's stale. As was told by the waiter the food is massed produced in the morning and refrigerated during the day. (Hard fail ) The Italian Restuarant - I'm not even going to comment because I don't eat meat and my kids like plain pasta so I tasted and was not that impressed but my 3 and 7 year old didn't even finish plain pasta Trade winds -- I spoke about the frozen sea food- now being all inclusive I'm not a lobster fan but I am also not paying extra for (inclusive) food with an additional fee. I'm not knocking the establishment as it a well known Diamond rated AAA awarded last 4 years .. the staff is friendly as they have no choice because we are all big workers for a small flat rate and solely depend on tips . If my friend wasn't getting married I would have rented an airBNb or extended my stay at the aloft and pay for what I wanted street food wise ...

Yelp
Spectacular. That is the best word I can use to describe our experience at Hyatt Ziva When you arrive and begin to soak up the scenery of the open-air lobby, you can already tell that this place is special. I will do my best to keep this review thorough but succinct; there is just so much I could say about Hyatt Ziva. CHECK-IN Check in was SEAMLESS! We were greeted warmly and a porter protected and delivered our bags. I wish I knew what essential oils were in the cool towel they hand you but it smelled amazing and was the perfect welcome gift after a long day of traveling. We were whisked away to the Tower Club for our private check-in. We were a party of seven (4 adults, 2 eigtheen year old "semi-adults" and one blossoming teen). Our check-in staff was great; he took his time to answer all of our many questions about the property and even booked several dinner and cabana reservations for us at check-in. There is a cute buffet and small bar in the lobby of the Tower Club that we made great use of during check-in. The meatballs and chicken wings were delicious. But, the broccoli was perhaps my favorite. ROOMS We had an Ocean Front King and it was pleasant. The room itself was pretty standard but the view is what was captivating. Our cleaning staff was very attentive. However, you cannot predict what time of day your rooms will be cleaned. Turn-down service occurred nightly. The room was stocked with wine (I am a Napa Valley wine girl, so none of the wines appealed to me). But, liquor and beer were also stocked in the refrigerator. We had an abundance of bottled water always on hand, too. There are robes, slippers and an umbrella in the closet, so you don't have to cram your carry-on with those items. Speaking of essential oils... they must mist the toilet tissue, too! My husband noticed that gentle touch. VIEWS/BEACHES Everywhere you look at Ziva, there is beauty! And the groundskeepers maintains immaculate grounds that are well-kept. There are two beaches, one is more "lively" with music and games and the other is more quiet and relaxed. There are cabanas sprinkled along the beaches and around the pools. I would highly recommend cabana service (and get Natasha or her twin Andrea, if you can). For great tippers, service was almost like they were reading your minds. Our ice bucket was never empty of water and beer, our plates were never empty (shrimp quesadillas for me) and our glasses were never empty of tequila, or whatever else we wanted. The sand was nearly void of seaweed during our July trip. The sand was white and powder and the water was crystal clear. FOOD I honestly will say that my favorite food items came from cabana service, as strange as that sounds. I enjoyed the shrimp quesadillas, as mentioned before and probably will be again. Others in our party enjoyed the oysters that were grilled one day poolside and burgers and chicken tenders. We were slightly disappointed with the beachside surf and turf but we are steak snobs and frequently eat at prime restaurants stateside. I order my steak medium and I would say it was very close to well-done... just a warning. We went to the Asian spot twice; our younger son deemed that his favorite. It was nice to try new sushi rolls without having to "pay" for those you didn't necessarily like. Our friends took our adult son with them to Bastille and raved that it was their best meal! We did not go to Mercado because they no longer serve you on the buffet and we aren't into sharing utensils with the public just yet. We had breakfast twice at Tradewinds; both times I enjoyed the salmon toast. I wish we had discovered room service breakfast earlier in the trip because it was by far the best. ACTIVITIES Our sons enjoyed jet skis. That was really the only activity that we participated in because the goal for this vacation was relaxation which the beautiful beaches provided! Oh... my husband did win the football toss game one day at the pool. SPA The four "true" adults had spa treatments (massages). The massages were all really nice but the amenities within the spa were great! We basically had the pool and hot tub to ourselves most of the day. If you purchase a service, you have access all day to the spa. There is a sauna and a steam room along with a plunge pool. SERVICE Two things set Ziva apart... scenery and service. EVERYONE was super friendly, helpful and attentive. Alejandro overheard me say to my friend that my name was misspelled on our cabana. He came back with the correct spelling on a new sign. It is touches like this one that made us feel like we were in a 5-star resort!

Yelp
Best resort I've ever stayed with. Such a beautiful atmosphere, more than attentive staff, and the food has gotten much much better since I was last here (2018). The grounds are clean, perfect for any photo op, the wedding venue is gorgeous, and the beaches are the best around. I had the pleasure of staying in a swim-up suite and I could not recommend it enough. We had it to ourselves most nights which was nice, and the views you just cannot beat.

Yelp
This place is faux luxury resort. We were invited by friends who were guests at the hotel and were treated horribly, even with our friends with us the whole time. We had to remain in the lobby with security hovering around us. Security followed us around the lobby, when we changed from one seating location to the next, with our friends there the entire time, and were then told we had to leave after 30 minutes. We were sitting in the lobby chatting. That's it. I travel all over the world and have never been treated as poorly. We were a group of 4 teachers of color visiting a family with 3 kids. I will never give my money to any Hyatt brand after this and suggest you find a place where they treat people with basic respect.

Yelp
Tequila! The staff was all so friendly and amazing. Great range of food options with Habaneros, Tradewinds and the French restaurant being my favorite. I went with a group of 5 and we reserved 2 rooms. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a hot towel and a brief tour of the lobby. Once you check in, you are offered a drink (cocktails, wine, water) right on the spot. Instructions were clear and check in didn't take too long. There were plenty of activities and food options offered. Our rooms faced the pool and dolphin area which was nice. There was a bit of an issue with one of the rooms where the room card didn't work at some point and it became a minor inconvenience as my friends needed something urgently from the room. Overall, we had a wonderful time there and our stay was great! If you are celebrating an event, make sure to let them know at check in for a special surprise!

Yelp
Such gorgeous architectural structures! Everything was super modern and incredibly clean. Hotel stuff were accommodating and friendly. However, it's in a quieter area, and the time of year we came here was super quiet and mellow for some reason, with not much action. We typically love quiet resorts, but after having experienced so much fun at the Hyatt Zilara all inclusive adult-only resort, this was quite different and a great way to wind down and end the last few days of our vacation. I totally forgot to take photos of our suite but I took plenty of the hotel, hope it's a little helpful. The room was gorgeous and loved it much more than the Hyatt Zilara room we had. Experience wise, not much to do here, even the pool area was super quiet, which is nice in its own way. Would definitely come here again but generally speaking, we preferred Hyatt Zilara!

Yelp
Don't go here on a bachelor party. It's definitely just for families or couples. They have wristbands but didn't want to use it. Instead, they just ask for your room number and name every single time you leave or enter the premise. There is no smoking here or in the room but they have designated smoking area. You can't meet up with your friends in different rooms. No partying or gathering in large groups. Very strict. You have been warned. But the view sure was nice amongst A**holes
