I don’t usually review things on Google but I HAD to review this hotel, oh my gosh it is so so nice. The staff are so incredibly sweet and welcoming, always checking in for refills on drinks and making sure you are comfortable with your stay. The entertainment team is wonderful and keeps everyone laughing at the pool or in the theater. The food is amazing 99% of the time. There is always something to do in the hotel and if you wanted to venture outside there is a live plaza/art walk square (shopping and restaurants) that is a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Anyways, if you decide to come here, you won’t regret it!!

We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Cabo with our family. We booked the two bedroom suite that came with 3 balconies, 3 bathrooms and a separate living space. The room was amazing with plenty of space to gather and lounge. The extra bathroom was very valuable. The view was gorgeous. The staff was awesome. Very attentive, very polite very cheerful. We had Catalina as our concierge who greeted us as soon as we step foot in lobby. Right away she assisted us in booking our spa day, tours and dinner reservations. She also verified our cabana reservations. She was very helpful throughout the week helping us with a late check out, moving around reservations for change in plans to simple requests like shopping suggestions and money exchange. We had great service everywhere but best service we received was at Molina Mexican restaurant. We had Brenda as our waitress and she did an excellent job with our group of 8 people- each person ordering multiple meals with special requests. Our Cabana service both at the pool and beach was top notch. The coconut drinks were the best. On our beach cabana I wanted to be in shade and my cousin wanted the sun. Our cabana waiter Edgar was able to fix the umbrella to literally split the cabana in half sun half shade! Its the small things that make the Hyatt vacation experience wonderful. My 12 year old son loved the bingo games, my daughter visited the coffee shop multiple times a day for there delicious smoothies, frapps and hot tea at night, my cousin visited the juice bar every morning, my husband was at the gym every morning. We visited the Spa last day for couple massages and hydrotherapy. The Hyatt staff actually walks you through a hydrotherapy process and it was very relaxing. I suggest one day you do hydrotherapy and next day do massage. We have stayed at Hyatt ziva Puerto Vallarta and Hyatt Ziva Cancun and we love of them. We will miss you Hyatt Cabo!

Exceeded every expectation. Service was incredible. Food was great. Drinks were incredible. Everyone was so nice. We got a swim up room and would never do it any other way. Also loved that it was just 15 min from the airport. We never left the resort because everything we needed was there.

My husband and I enjoyed this beautiful resort and the exceptionally friendly staff. We especially appreciated Alberto while sitting outside for breakfast. It was an overall great experience and we look forward to returning. I would recommend the Hyatt Ziva to anyone. We stayed in a room with the walk out pool with easy access to the beach, hot tub and bar. Beautiful place!!

We stayed here for a week with our kids and extended family. It's a really nice set up for both adults and kids to enjoy. Kidz club was awesome. Very inviting for kids and the staff were great. The kids waterslide area is cool too, and shallow for peace of mind. The beach was huge and very walkable. We had the pleasure of seeing whales, dolphins, rays, and baby sea turtles on our first day. The entire property was very well cared for and beautiful. All staff I interacted with were extremely polite (almost overly so?) I'm usually paranoid about leaving my things unattended but I was glad that I felt safe leaving my bag unattended while I went swimming, etc. I also appreciated the fitness and yoga classes available, and would have liked to do the dancing lessons too. Last shout out would be the buffet, which I actually enjoyed more than any of the restaurants. However the choices were not as good on our last day, but overall a great selection. The cons: We were initially roomed in the first building, fourth floor. From 10pm-1am there was a body-vibrating bass that came from the sports bar below which made it absolutely impossible to sleep. I would have left the hotel if they would not have switched our rooms, it was awful. Our new room faced the adult pool which was much quieter. I don't know all the room types, but ours was 2 double beds, which is pretty hard to share with a squirmy child. Bigger beds would be nice. Another underwhelming aspect was the entertainment. It was not on par with the caliber of the rest of the hotel. Another thing for the cooler months is that the infinity pool is on the chilly side, same with the hot tub. My last request is that they would add more herbal teas to the restaurant/coffee shop since they only had one. All in all, would come back :)

Nice hotel, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent food (availability, variety, finish). The room was very spacious, but it looked dirty, the bathroom windows were stained with blood, the mirrors were dirty, the ceiling fan was full of dust. The power outlets had no electricity, the handles on the minibar closet fell off just by touching them! They sent a maintenance technician and when I returned to the room, I found that he could not restore the power to the outlet and that the handle fell off again just by touching it. When I called the hotel (before booking it) for more information and when I got there, they told me that the pools were heated, which is not true, they are super cold and an employee said that the heaters have not worked for a long time (I don't know if it really ever was like that). The towels are large but very worn. Very quiet and despite being under repair there are no disturbances. It is a 3 to 4 star hotel. I think the service is overpriced, a day pass for a guest is $185 dollars, finally it was better to add him as a guest for $155 even though he did not use the room.

What else can I say but a great resort from top to bottom. The cleanliness of this place is off the charts. Amazing service, amazing food, yummy drinks and the best weather. The foam party on Saturday was also amazing, great music and a lot of fun. A special shout out to Yesenia at the Adult Pool, Anna the Taco Queen and Luis from the Infinity Pool. Thank you Hyatt, You made our trip one of the best we have ever been on.

We stayed for 4 nights and it was a lovely experience. It started off a bit rough as we didn't know there was construction but the hotel changed our room and we had such an amazing time here. Amazing parts: the staff!!! Every single person we spoke to was so so nice, the resort is very clean, food is above average and so good, drinks were great, entertainment was great, and the service was why I would come back. The pool was also fun (there's a taco bar in the adult pool), shout out to Alejandro and Genaro - always making sure we had drinks and were happy. Having said that, there is some construction going on. You'll notice it on day 1 and then forget it after, it wasn't super loud and I barely noticed it after day 1. Do come here. It was such an awesome experience.

Yelp
My first experience with Hyatt Ziva and man am I spoiled. SERVICE is RIDICULOUS here. I mean they are either just fabulous people in general or sooo well-trained! (or both) Everyone made us feel welcomed and special and looked after. Good Job GM. Food was good for all-inclusive and we especially enjoyed the Steak house (this was so legit and tasty) and the restaurant next to the beach. You had so many options, but those 2 were standouts. For lunch they had some food trucks near the pool (so cute!) that were serving up yummy food as well. We loved the coffee shop and visited it every day to try the variety of drinks and frappes. It's so hard NOT to gain weight at this resort. I took my younger cousins here as their birthday present and we upgraded to a swimout pool. Although we did enjoy it, looking back, I don't think it's worth it. I think the regular room/pool view is perfectly fine. The pools were nice and the swimup bar right by the beach. Our swimup had a view of the pools and super exposed to people walking by. They really should plant some bushes to block it out. Everything from food to service was excellent, excellent and the girls agreed. This has ruined them in terms of what hospitality can be like. HIGHLY recommend

Yelp
This property was unforgettable. I want to thank Mario, Ana, Dany, Cielo, Xime, and Calli for making the Kidz Club a highlight for my son. At first, we were hesitant about leaving our child in the care of others while in a foreign country, concerned about his treatment. However, the attention and security they provided made us feel comfortable. Our son enjoyed his time there so much that he didn't want to leave. This experience made his first trip to Mexico so enjoyable that he is eager to return. My husband and I also loved the variety of food and drinks and the care and attention of the hotel staff. To say the least, we definitely felt spoiled and pampered! If you are looking for a family-friendly hotel with great food and no pressure to buy timeshares, this hotel is the perfect choice. We left the resort with fantastic memories and a strong desire to come back for another visit. We want to express our gratitude to the hotel and all the staff for exceeding our expectations.

Yelp
We have been to 5 resorts (including adults only one), this resort is definitely the most beautiful one with the wow factor when you walk in the lobby and overlook their pond design, pools, and beaches. Very nice cabanas with extra charges. Floaty is with extra charge for rent. Food is mediocre, but the Teppanyaki is very entertaining and delicious. French restaurant is adult only. Other than the resort view and layout, the only thing we love is the coffee options. You get your different flavors of coffee with their baristas whenever. The room is just ok, not as good as the whole resort.

Yelp
I stayed at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos January 8-12, 2025 for a girls trip. The hotel is beautiful and has stunning views, beautiful pools and some wonderful food. We especially liked Angel and his fantastic special cocktail at the adult pool. Most of the employees were warm and helpful. Only downside was the length of time spent pushing us to pay to upgrade at check in.

Yelp
We had such a great time here at Hyatt Ziva, this all-inclusive resort garners 5-stars in my book. We are part of the Hyatt loyalty program, and this perk gave us a hefty room upgrade for a modest increase per night. That was a great move as our room was truly stunning. We had a King suite that has a separate living and dining room. Both sofa in the living and bedroom convert to a bed so both kids have their separate sleeping arrangements. The staff was super friendly were truly there if we needed help. I thought that it was a great protocol to ask us each time we order room service, whether anyone is allergic to a specific food. And speaking of room service, we really had our fill. The kids Chicken Tenders was an absolute hit with the kids. And for me? Well their Flank Steak was sure a winner. I liked that they used a unnoticeable cut of meat. Flank steak sure does have the flavor and the right amount of tender. You just need to know that you have to cut against the grain. Other great touches where the birthday banner hanged on the font of our door, letting other know that we have a birthday boy in the house. If there is anything I would suggest in the room, I hope their faucets on the sink were higher: their is so little room between the spout and the bottom of the sink. Hyatt Ziva's pool is gorgeous. It is massive and the temperature is always perfect. Look towards the beach is their infinity pool which has a great vantage point of the sea and waves. It too bad that the current and waves around our resort were not conducive for beach swimming, but Hyatt's awesome pools make up for it. Food? Well its a mixed bag. But overall, it was slightly above average. I would say that most of their restaurants (and the buffet) at about on par or a notch higher than your typical casual food in the US. So I would say that its also a win. We were glad that we spent our first time in Cabo with Hyatt Ziva. Without any doubt, we would book with this resort again when we decide to come back here in San Jose del Cabo.

Yelp
From the beginning until the very end...it's like being at home with the attentive and friendly staff to make your vacation the best it possibly can be! Currently in the midst of adding an additional tower, yes there is noise but it's from around 8am until about 5. I'm too busy drinking and having fun to let bother me! There are plenty of other things going on to focus on that! My wife and I have been to Cancun and Cabo Ziva and love them both. Enjoy!

Yelp
My husband and I spent five nights at Hyatt Ziva. This was our first time at an all inclusive, and despite the work going on we feel like it was a really great experience. We were aware of the construction prior to booking, but we were not aware how immersive it would be as we were sandwiched in between two major construction jobs on the property. We were able to tune it out pretty well after the first day and spent most of our time at the adults pool where we were sheltered from much of the noise and dust. Our 6th floor pool view (plus ocean view!) room was large, well appointed, refreshed daily, and quiet at night after the sports bar below us wrapped up events around midnight. Despite two restaurants being closed as part of the hotel renovation, we still had plenty of options to choose from for on-site dining. The breakfast buffet was decent, but the dinner buffet was terrible, so we stuck to specialty restaurants after that experience, which were far superior. Our favorite was Dozo (Japanese) which we visited twice, and both times Jose made our experience stellar. He offered great recommendations, and everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The vegetable curry was a personal favorite. Bon Vivant (French) had a surprising number of vegetarian items available which I loved. Again, everything we tried was beautifully plated and delicious. El Molino (Mexican) had incredible salsas and flavorful dishes. Just wish for more vegetarian offerings. We had breakfast there one day and dinner another. Both were very good, but we would have come back had there been better variety for us. We never visted the lunch buffet and instead enjoyed poolside snack options like ceviche (including a coconut and cucumber version) and quesadillas. Morning smoothies and coffees were also great. The staff really work hard here to make your stay enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was so welcoming. Special shoutout to Jose (again) at Dozo, Alejandro at the adults pool, Margarita the breakfast host, and Rodrigo at the lobby bar (best mezcal negronis). I would say the customer service really sets Hyatt Ziva a notch above. There are plenty of events throughout the day and evening to keep you engaged if that's what you like. The infinity pool was sort of the daytime party zone, so we pretty much stayed away. We're more into quiet and relaxing than trivia and competitions, so the lowkey adults pool by day and the theater shows by evening were more our speed. We also took advantage of the workout facilities and morning yoga on the beach (not as relaxing as I'd have liked what with the jackhammering right next to us... but still a good workout). Judging by the all-around lesser state (from rooms to dining to customer service) of other friends' all inclusive resort in San Lucas, we really lucked out with an overall A+ value. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, hopefully after renovations are completed.

Yelp
Between 3 and 4 stars, but since we came during slow season it was a lot of bang for the buck! I won't repeat what others have said, but I do have a PRO TIP: you can haggle over spa prices when business is sluggish! There's a sales stand somewhere on the first floor near the front of Hacienda Grill, where you walk in/out by the main stairs, and the rep there is authorized to give discounts. Initially he offered my mom and me 4 x 50 minute sessions for $550 (original price $229 each). After some back and forth, we settled on 8 for $1000, which is $125 for each 50 min spa treatment...nearly 50% off. We were also free to pick facial or massage. The hydrotherapy circuit/spa pool was a treat as well. The two of us were there 4 days in a row -- it was epic! Another tip: ask for Annel, especially for deep tissue massage. After 8 treatments, my mom and I both agree that she's hands down the best. I would have requested her more if my mom didn't keep hogging her. Enjoy!

Yelp
Caveat that this visit was during the off-season. Pros: Attentive staff and no crowds made it very easy to relax. Nice not to have to stress over things like restaurant reservations, pool side seating, or getting a spa appointment. Coffee shop is another pro. Good drinks, snacks, and desserts. Open 24 hours Impressed bone marrow was an available appetizer at Hacienda Grill. Lunch from the pool side grill is good. Buffet is a reliably good place to find something better than average. Cons: Other restaurant food is very mid. Steaks at Hacienda were dry (even at med rare). Don't recommend breakfast at Molino. Teppanyaki show at Dozo is standard, the quality of the show really depends on which chef you get. Property is under heavy construction which I didn't know during the reservation process. The rooms are showing their age so updating during slow season is an understandable business decision. Spa is very nice. Hydrotherapy circuit is a good experience. Erick was working his tail off in there. Pricing is US prices so you won't get much of a deal there.

Yelp
This is our second trip to this location. We love the attention, food, and activities at this resort. There is always something to do. The activities team is amazing and the bartenders and restaurant personnel are amazing as well. We are Hyatt Members, so we had perks that came along with our stay. WELL WORTH IT! I want to give a special shout-out to Emilio Dominguez, the manager on Duty during our stay. My husband lost a Titanium band ring while playing beach volleyball. As soon as he felt it fly off his finger, he shouted, "Oh No! My Ring!" Everyone playing with us, along with the activities team, stopped to look for the ring. It was not found. We left a couple of days later, only to get a call from the Manager on Duty at the time, Emilio Dominguez, saying that they found the ring! They sent us pictures of the ring and sure enough, within two weeks it was mailed to our home in California! I can't believe that they went out of their way to find the ring, keep track that it was ours and then made arrangements for it to be returned to us. GREAT JOB HYATT ZIVA and Emilio Dominguez. Your honesty was greatly appreciated.

Yelp
Had an amazing time at the Ziva. Currently under construction with 2 restaurants going through renovations. Service was top notch with constant check ins by staff. Ample of food options even with two down. Food quality is better than others I have been to. Big shout out to the hotel in house entertainers. With so many options for in Cabo, Ziva definitely stands out as one of the best.

Adri R.

Yelp
The Hyatt Ziva in San Jose Del Cabo was delightful place to stay, with its all-inclusive amenities and the variety of restaurants, shops, and pools. I was really happy to get to experience the local culture through the Thursday night art walk, which seems like a vibrant event for both artists and food enthusiasts. What a treat to be upgraded to an Oceanview suite with an incredible view! Room 3633 must have offered a stunning perspective of the ocean. Ziva offered a much different vibe than what I experienced at the Breathless. I was glad I got to make most of my time in Cabo, exploring different resorts and local events.

Yelp
First - for management - Margarita, the host at the breakfast buffet is an angel. We have traveled to so many places and have never been touched by such a friendly beautiful soul ever! She has such lovely positive energy - like a gift to the Ziva for sure!!!! 5 stars for her all the way! As for the rest of the stay - 5 stars for the valet and security - Mauricio and team!!! Thank you too Jose and Francisco in the breakfast buffet as well as Yadira who makes the best omelettes! I had a great massage at the spa too! Luckily there was no construction this holiday week- I honestly Cannot even imagine had there been - there is no way I could Have done that. I can see how some are saying that ruined their trip. I'm surprised that the pool is not heated, that they close the hottub at 8pm (my older teens were bummed), and you def need to get to the pool early for chairs. Also the spa area water is chilly except for the hottub. The pool area is loud with music and activities- you can hear the guy running games over the mic a lot of the day, as well as the kids piñata party, so if you are into being super social, more party vibe it would be great, if you want more chill, romantic get away, no kids, go elsewhere. The yoga class is directly in the sun by beach, so bring sunscreen to yoga, also it was difficult to hear the instructor as there is no mic for her. They do have an active gym, and walking the beach is great because you can walk a long way ... serious workout because the sand is a little challenging to walk on. Seeing baby turtles get the water was a highlight! Food at the restaurants we ate at was "mid" as my kids would say, though the beef satay and shrimp tempura sushi at Doza is great. Ceviche at Il Molina was really good. Room service food was bad (service good tho). The cafe has great (small but tasty) lattes. Bring sunscreen. One bottle of coppertone cost $28! Certain people gave 5 star service, food was 3 star, location 5 star to airport, rooms 4 star. Hyatt enthusiast here - I prob won't be back to this Hyatt, and if I come Back without the kids I'll try the Hyatt Thompson- The Cape - as we went to the rooftop bar there and just wow it's unreal! I will say Hyatt Ziva had some "relatively" decent prices compared to other places that were similar for this overall ridiculously overpriced holiday week. And thank you again to Margarita - she is truly special!!!

Liz N.

Yelp
I absolutely recommend this resort! The workers are INCREDIBLY kind and gracious. It's a beautiful place to stay with so much to do and EAT!!! We especially LOOOVED the buffet. The restroom in our room was also super nice and spacious. The water pressure is really strong though. One down side would be the TV. It's super old. The pool is really nice and big & they sometimes have activities! It's fun! Can't wait to come back!!!

Michael N.

Yelp
Just got back from our business vac/trip at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos... and it did not disappoint. Overall the resort and rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly and customer service oriented. The food and drinks were very good-good and would definitely recommend. Only criticism is that not all bars and restaurants were open so depending on the day of time our choices were limited. The drinks were fine-good and can improve in my opinion. But still very happy with the quality of the dishes for an all inclusive resort. The Italian and French restaurants were our favorites.

Veronica N.

Yelp
Stunning view !! Hotel was clean and all-inclusive resort and hospitality @ We came to celebrate our friend's 29th birthday. The staff was exceptional participating when we sang Happy Birthday. What to send a shout out to staff at Plaza Buffet: Ricardo, Jose, Jair, Arnulfo and Cristina. They knew our breakfast drink by the time our trip was over. The best Mexican shot candy ever !! Gotta try it!! Can for get the Cantarina !! If you like mint ask Ricardo. He will hook you up. Entertainment Team: Roberto and Norma take pride in their job duties. Thanks you for the great memories. See you all soon.

Yelp
We are checking out of this all inclusive hotel today after a three night stay that has been a lot of fun and very relaxing despite it being spring break and the resort has been basically packed with people ranging from retirees, to families to college kids. We have stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which is really quite generous size wise for our family of four. It's essentially two rooms combined with a double queen room with its own bathroom and a king suite with an entryway bathroom, living area with two TV's and couches, dinner table and good size balcony. Ours was an ocean view room also with club level access which gets you into a room with some snacks, a pool table and some higher end alcohol you can have made there. What I enjoyed about this resort- the beach is very clean and although there are vendors they are made to stay behind a rope so it's really up to you if you want to interact and buy something or not. A simple no thank you when passing by them to go to the water was also enough. I didn't feel too bothered at all. You cannot swim at this beach and a lifeguard is there at all times to stop you getting in. - the pools were clean and there are various activities and some live singing, DJ's etc organized by the pool each day. Activities for kids and adults are hosted on the property at no additional charge throughout the day also. Get the schedule via QR code at the resort - cabanas are well worth the money if the resort is busy as you may struggle to get a beach chair otherwise. A bottle of Moet was included each day with our cabana along with chocolate strawberries later in the day. Your personal waiter will order drinks for you and is able to jump the food lines for anything you order to avoid the long waits at places like the taco truck and Coco Loco back bar - our favorite dining experiences was the Italian restaurant for dinner. Wood fired pizza was quite good. Go as soon as they open or risk not being able to get a table for a couple of hours. The Japanese restaurant was also good. Need a reservation to be at the teppanyaki table but you can still order anything at a regular table and it was pretty good. The taco truck had amazing tacos and the hot dogs and burgers from the snack bar were also enjoyed by my kids. - the adult pool is accessible from the main pool and if you can sneak over for a minute you will also get faster service there for drinks and tacos and can take it back over to the main pool if you have kids there Overall, we had a nice experience here. I am taking off one star for the difficulty with pool chairs we saw a few arguments over between guests (not relaxing on vacation) and the discrepancies in value for money based on room offerings. Being here with college kids made it feel a little less classy than we would have liked for the amount of money we spent to be here with our room choice. I would possibly come back, but maybe one day when our kids are older and we could stay at the adult pool (very calm and serene in there). One last point - the beds were comfy and the rooms were clean.

Yelp
I stayed at Ziva Los Cabos for 3 nights back in March 2023 and had an excellent time. I truly wish I could have stayed 1 more day to enjoy the amenities and this large resort. I want to give a big shout out to Adriana -- our concierge who kept in touch with us through WhatsApp, always checking in on us and helping us out with reservations. Room: We booked a swim up hotel room which I absolutely loved. There's a strip of hotel rooms that share the swim up area but only the ones with wrist bands are allowed in here. It then connected to the adults only pool and hot tub. Servers are able to get your orders from your own swim up area which was convenient. The hotel room itself was large with 2 full beds and 1 pull out couch in the living room section. The bathroom was large and clean. The mini bar was stocked with beers, sodas, waters. Food: I would rate the food 4/5. There were many, many choices for restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks but what stood out the most were the authentic taco stands by the pool, the churro stand by the coffee shop, and the street dog cart by the bar! They had a smoothie bar, sports bar, stand for ice cream bars, and more. There were Teppanyaki/asian, Mexican, French, Italian, Mediterranean, a grill restaurant, on top of the buffet. I was impressed by the amount of choices available for food. I docked it one point because just as most other all inclusive resorts, the quality of food isn't exactly that mind blowing. Also sometimes, service might be a little slower in the restaurants. Pools/beach: on top of the adults only pool in a separate part, there were 2 very large pools in the center of the resort-- plenty of space to swim though sometimes difficult to find lounge chairs. Truthfully, we didn't really stay in the main pools since we wanted to enjoy our swim up room. The beach was accessible from the resort though the water was a little further out (compared to Ziva Puerto Vallarta where the beach is right there next to the hotel). The beach was shared with other resorts along the strip. We didn't get to enjoy the beach much since there was a warning of strong currents. Spa: My mom and I booked deep tissue massages which included an all day pass to the large spa with in and out privileges. We were taken through a series of saunas, cold water bucket, jacuzzis, and the pool. I was impressed by the vast size of the spa and appreciated the in and out privilege the most. Activities: There were numerous activities offered throughout the day such as cornhole, group/water exercise classes, karaoke, DJ at the bars, etc. We were even able to sign up for free tequila tasting at the El Agave bar -- a bar that had a beautiful view of the beach/resort. There were many activities for both kids and adults, including non-motorized sports activities (kayaking, paddleboarding, etc) I would 100% come back to Ziva Los Cabos especially if I'm looking for a relaxing trip to just stay in the resort and enjoy the food and amenities.

Yelp
Our friend group had an incredible vacation at Hyatt Ziva. Airport transfers were included (we booked thru a travel agent) and the hotel is only a short 20 minute drive from the Cabo airport. There was construction going on, however it did not disrupt my sleep or activities in the main buildings or building 2 where we stayed. Facilities were very clean, service and hospitality from the staff was next level awesome! Shout out to David and Luis at the main pool, they kept our drinks flowing all week with a smile. Jain at the bfast buffet knew everyone's names after the first day and gave impeccable service to our group. We enjoyed all the food on the resort, specifically the Japanese hibachi restaurant. The French restaurant was just ok. The options for lunch by both pools were AMAZING. Fresh meats for tacos and bbq. Sports bar was super fun for late night dancing and drinks. The activities director at the main pool, Victor & team has amazing energy and kept the pool side area active. Pickleball, aerobics, water games jokes, they did it all! Overall an excellent stay, and will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is our second trip to this location. We love the attention, food, and activities at this resort. There is always something to do. The activities team is amazing and the bartenders and restaurant personnel are amazing as well. We are Hyatt Members, so we had perks that came along with our stay. WELL WORTH IT. I would like to do a special shout out to Emilio Dominguez who was the manager on Duty during our stay. My husband lost a Titanium band while playing beach volleyball. As soon as he felt it fly off his finger, he shouted, "Oh No! My Ring!" Everyone playing with us along with activities team running the game stopped to look for the ring. It was not found. We left a few days later, only to get a call from the Manager, Emilio Dominguez, saying that they found the ring! They sent us pictures of the ring and sure enough, within two weeks it was mailed to our home in California! I can't believe that they went out of their way to find the ring, keep track that it was ours and then made arrangements for it to be returned to us. GREAT JOB HYATT ZIVA. Your honesty was greatly appreciated.

Yelp
My family just got back today from a 4 night stay here at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. I think my expectations were too high after hearing a lot of families rave about this place. However, we were left feeling a bit disappointed. They should not advertise this as a 5 star resort. Compared to other 5 star hotels we have stayed at, this one fell short by far in terms of service and quality. However, for an all-inclusive resort, I can see how it can be considered as very good. Service: The people working here are overall very kind, friendly, warm people. However, they seemed to be a bit understaffed. Maybe also because we came during a busy season during Spring Break. We often had to get our own drinks at the pool and open our own umbrella because the staff didn't come around too often. They also ran out of pool towels often. We also expected housekeeping to come clean our room everyday but they did not. Even upon calling and requesting they come to clean our room, they still didn't come even though they said they would! I had to request it via the Hyatt app for them to finally come. Definitely download the app if you're a member. You can request other items on there as well. I requested slippers for the room since there were none in the closet upon arrival and they did bring it when I requested them on the app. There is also no turn-down service here. Elevators were broken sometimes. Again, maybe my expectations were too high. One good thing was they refilled our mini-fridge everyday (this is an all-inclusive so everything in the fridge is free with no extra charge) and they gave us bottled water daily. Pool: They have a main pool. infinity pool/adult pool, and kids pool. For the main pool especially, chairs get taken up VERY fast. My husband had to go down around 6:30 AM everyday to reserve chairs. They're usually all taken already by 7:00 AM. You can also try paying extra to reserve a cabana but even those were already reserved quickly. I was disappointed that the pools were not heated although they advertise that they are! It definitely was not heated and it was pretty chilly in there! One thing we did like about the pool was that there were activities and programs being run daily. The MCs do a great job entertaining everyone with various games and competitions as well as water aerobics, etc. If you're at the pool, definitely get Maria's Tacos by the adult pool bar and the guacamole and chips at The Healthy Bar! One of the better things we ate there! At the kids pool, the water is very shallow and safe! There are water slides too but the whole play area was a bit on the smaller size. I would say it's an ideal size for toddlers though. There is a kids club next to the kids pool which we didn't take advantage of, as well as a teens club. Lots of fun options for kids! There were also arts and crafts at a table next to the kids pool which was fun. It was also nice to have direct beach access right by the adult pool. Food: There are a ton of restaurants and bars at this resort to choose from. However, the quality of the food was just okay, sometimes mediocre. But considering that this is an all-inclusive resort, it's pretty good. Just keep your expectations low especially with food. For breakfast daily, we went to La Plaza which is a buffet. My daughter really enjoyed it. My favorite thing in there was the Mexican station's quesadillas. For lunch, the best thing I ate was Maria's tacos by the adult pool bar and the chips & guacamole at The Healthy Bar. The Healthy Bar also serves juices and smoothies in the morning. We also tried Coco Loco for lunch by the pool which was just okay. They have tacos, pizza, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries, etc. For dinner on our last night, we made a reservation for the hibachi bar at Dozo. This is the ONE restaurant you need to make a reservation for. If you want just sushi at Dozo, no reso is needed. It's just first come first serve. However, if you want the hibachi experience, a reservation is necessary. You can make reservations at the dining concierge at the Piano Bar in the lobby. Do it ASAP as soon as you check in because those fill up fast. Reservations for the hibachi bar must be done in person there (they don't take it over the phone or online). We're so glad we did the hibachi because it was such a fun experience for my daughter. It's basically like Benihana and it's a set 4-course meal. The food was pretty good too! I also enjoyed El Molino for dinner which is a Mexican a la carte restaurant-- I loved their al pastor tacos! We also tried Hacienda Baja Grill for dinner one night. We put our name on a waitlist and had to come back after 1.5 hours for a table. We got ribeyes which were just okay, not amazing. Overall, we had a good stay here but we probably won't be coming back!

Yelp
This employee is the ONLY reason I give this place a 5star review. Genaro is top-notch the drinks are eh. I had to order a bottle of Moet to get a decent glass of champagne. The food at the restaurants is nasty. The paid steak was below par. The breakfast buffet was decent. Be prepared to be loaded up on carbs and not much for healthy or protein options. The highlights from this place are: the view from the room, Genaro the AMAZING pool server, the beet juice and my bottle of Moet.

Yelp
Construction started as early as 8:00 am and went as late at 11:00 pm every day. This wasn't intermittent hammer banging but full-blown concrete drilling and metal sawing on top of one building. This occurred even during outdoor performances. - A DJ screams in English/Spanish during every game or pool event. Not, just announcing the start of a game, but continual yelling into a mic during the entire activity for 15 or so people. To cover up the construction noise? - To avoid most of the above "racket" one had to move to the smaller adult pool, with poorer service, no ocean view. - One of the two elevators was out of service our entire stay. We were on the 6th floor. - The Bon Vivant and Dozo Japanese restaurants were excellent; service was great, food was very good. - La Haciend Steakhouse was disappointing. The service was rushed, the sides were cafeteria quality at best, and the place had the acoustics of a bowling alley. - The seafood restaurant on the beach had a beautiful view and the breakfast was excellent. However, at dinner food was good but came out cold. - If one wanted to upgrade from the house wine to a higher quality glass of wine in any of the restaurants, one's only option is to purchase an entire bottle of wine, starting at around $60.00. - La Plaza buffet restaurant was excellent. However, upon entering each restaurant, one was asked regarding any food allergy. I needed almond milk; this was a trial trying to get this each time for my tea and never sure what I would get at this buffet - The rooms were beautiful , sound proofed, and well designed with great mattresses. However, one needed a mini fridge, not a "cold" box. The coffee maker did not work. - Our reservations for 2 rooms had been confirmed by the Hyatt Ziva end of October. When we arrived on December 17th the clerk told us one room had only 1 guest confirmed, and the 2nd guest would be an extra $364" or "$900." Luckily, we were able to pull up the confirmation. At checkout nothing was said, and then the following day the Hyatt Ziva charged my card $364.

Yelp
We stayed here recently for a family trip and were pretty disappointed. We had the only kid in the group with us and were looking forward to the kid's club and water park. Unfortunately, the kid's club was closed and the water park is under construction. We did not know about the construction until we arrived. One entire building is currently closed for some much needed renovations. Which, had it been opened, the place would have been even more packed and restaurants impossible to get into. Rooms - The rooms were spacious. We had an ocean view room, which you could see as soon as you walked in. The bathroom had a rain shower, jetted tub and a window so you can see the ocean while showering. The beds were comfortable. There was a table with 2 chairs and a pull out couch. They had a crib available for our daughter. The balcony was nice with a couple chairs and table overlooking the main pool. Sound definitely travels, as we could hear our upstairs neighbors preparing for whatever marching band competition they have coming up. Our daughter's white noise machine helped with that. Restaurants There are a couple restaurants/bars closed currently due to construction. Zaffiro, Coco Loco, and the piano bar are closed. La Plaza buffet - this was the best place for food and it was just ok. We ate here every day for breakfast. They had an omelet station, a station for huevos rancheros and chilaquiles, as well as fruit, eggs, bacon, etc. They had pizza, sushi, hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. Pastas, pizzas, fish and more options for dinner Coffee house - we enjoyed this place every morning for coffee. El Cortez - we tried to get in for dinner on Monday night as a couple of the other restaurants were closed. It was an hour wait at 6:30 so we went to Dozo. We ended up trying this place for lunch with a smaller party. The fish tacos were good. The shrimp cocktail was tasty. A couple people ordered the fried fish. Just a heads up, they were expecting breaded fish that was fried, however when it arrived, it was a fish with the head, tail and fins still on. Poke place - close to the pool, this place had great blended juices drinks and excellent ceviche. The tuna poke was fantastic as well. Taco truck - pool side taco truck. This place and the ceviche place are the only pool side food options they have in the main pool area. The tacos are just ok. They didn't have much flavor and it was a long wait (20+min) for the line and to get your tacos. Several people were ordering through the pool side waiters so you didn't have to wait. Hacienda Baja Grill - steak house. We tried multiple times to eat here and finally went through our concierge to "hold" a table for us right when the restaurant opened. The seating system is not very organized. They will not seat incomplete parties, which I understand, but we were told they don't have a waiting list either. We got there at 6:30, about an hour after it opened and we were told to come back in an hour and a half. With our daughter, this didn't work for us, so we tried a different place for dinner. El Molino -Mexican restaurant. After our debacle at the steak place, we were able to get a table here. The chips and salsa were tasty. The mole enchiladas were fantastic. The green enchiladas were flavorful. Our daughter enjoyed her quesadilla. The service was great. Dozo - we were able to get our big party in after we couldn't get in at El Cortez. We had to break up the tables, which we thought would speed things along. However, this was the slowest restaurant of the trip. Over an hour and a half for our party of 4. The party of 5 waited over 2 hours. The sushi was great. The edamame was tasty. My steak was disappointing. I cut over 1/3 of it off because of the fat. Unfortunately, we were not able to get a hibachi table on our trip. We tried multiple times and tried to use our concierge without success. Spirit of 1968 - We went to the sports bar a couple times for a drink before dinner and to watch the NBA finals. The pool tables are nice. The staff is friendly, but they dropped the ball not having food there. Wings, nachos, hot dogs, literally any food would make the place better. No kids after 10 which wasn't an issue for us. We were pretty disappointed about the food overall. Especially the lack of options around the pool. No nachos, fries, hot dogs, burgers to keep people at their coveted pool chairs. We saw several people ordering room service then bringing their club sandwich and pizzas down to the pool. Overall, we would not recommend this place and we would not stay here again. Perhaps once the construction is finished it will be improved. Or if you went with a small group without kids, this is an ok resort. The all-inclusive resort we stayed at last year was in a better location, cheaper, had access to other resorts, and wasn't under construction.

Yelp
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is Hyatt's all-inclusive resort in the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. It is a fantastic hotel if all you want to do is relax, enjoy the beach weather, and eat great meals. A great destination hotel, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos provided my family and me with a great experience that I highly recommend to anyone. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars Atmosphere - Upon arriving to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, you are greeted with several staff members in a huge, open air lobby. On my visit in May, a cool breeze flowed from the ocean through the lobby, and several guests sat around relaxing and enjoying themselves. The hotel is genuinely nice, and you feel like you just stepped into a 5-Star resort - because you did. Get ready to unplug and relax! Warning - the beach is for views only. The water is too rough for you to swim. 1 Star. Service - Every single staff member was so nice and greeted you. The service was top notch, from the servers at the restaurants, housekeeping, the baristas from the coffee shop, and the pool servers, I've never felt more welcome at any resort. Be sure you bring cash for tipping! Even though the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is an all-inclusive hotel, take care of the staff because they'll take care of you. 1 Star. Facility - I'll split this section into multiple parts based my experience. Overall Hotel - This is a 5-star hotel. It starts with the lobby, but the entire hotel is kept clean with lounging furniture everywhere. The public bathrooms are also exceptionally clean. Room - We stayed in a standard room with two full size beds and a couch that converts to a queen bed. Our family of 4 slept comfortably. The bathroom is big, with a separate area for the shower and tub, with accordion windows that open allowing the fresh ocean air in from the balcony. The toilet had a door (a must have in a 5-star hotel) to provide extra separation and privacy. Fitness Center - The fitness center is noticeably big and has all the equipment you need. Get there early and you may land one of treadmills that overlook the ocean. The bathroom is like a spa. It includes lockers and showers that you can use after your workout. Pool - The primary pool is surrounded by chairs with umbrellas (first come first serve) and cabanas (must be reserved). Facing the beach is an infinity pool with a magnificent view, but it gets very crowded. There are separate adult and kids pools (I did not visit either). La Plaza Buffet - I only ate here for breakfast and lunch. There are options to satisfy any palette (including picky children). Pro Tip - Ask for a freshly made tortilla and build a breakfast taco on your own. Dozo Restaurant - This Asian theme restaurant has a hibachi grill that requires reservations. It's a great experience that you should try. I did not try the standard menu which is available for walk ins. Cortez - This was my favorite restaurant because of the view. The restaurant is right on the beach and is open for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, the steak and eggs is the best item on the menu, and for lunch I was a fan of all the ceviche and shrimp burrito. Hacienda Baja Grill - The steakhouse that had an excellent bone marrow appetizer. The filet and ribeye are fantastic and grilled very well. I was extremely impressed! Bon Vivant - This adults-only restaurant features rack of lamb and foie gras. This is best for date night while the kids order room service. That's what I did. Coco Loco Snack Bar - Located by the pool, I would duck in here for smash burgers. It's great if you're in your swim gear and don't want to get dressed just to eat. Taco truck - There's a taco truck by the pool that opens at 12:30. They serve legit Mexican tacos. Mixed Grill - Stationed next to the taco truck, each day they had a different protein (steak, chicken, fish, etc.). Also great and conveniently located by the pool. Coffee Bar - I spent most of my time here. You can order any hand crafted drink from lattes to fraps. My favorite was the caramel frap, and on occasion I would get an affogato. In the morning there is also a fresh churro cart with assorted dips. Hyatt Club - If your room comes with access to the Hyatt Club, you'll get a private buffet experience. Honestly, the club is only good if you want to get away from the crowds. The food here is just ok. There were several other restaurants, but I did not get to all of them. Some are only open for dinner, so make sure you plan out your meals so you can experience a different theme. 2 Stars Will I Return? - Yes. The Hyatt Ziva brand represents their all-inclusive properties in Mexico. I genuinely enjoyed my visit. The staff is amazing, the food surpassed my expectations, and I thoroughly unplugged and relaxed. 1 Star.

Yelp
This resort exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious, the hospitality was outstanding, and the activities were incredibly enjoyable. The pools offered a perfect, peaceful retreat. I had an amazing experience here and can't wait to return next year!

Yelp
Perfect Vacation Perfect All-Inclusive Hotel Highly Highly recommend this all-inclusive resort. You'll never have to leave the resort unless you want to venture out. Restaurants and food. So many options 24/7. Only the Hibachi restaurant required reservation's... all the others were first come first serve. Everything was unlimited. There were a few restaurants that offered lobster upgrades for a cost but other than that everything was all-inclusive. Pool side bars, taco truck, snack bars, ... room service... juice bar... fresh fruit bowls... full service coffee shop with ice cream, pastries, etc... so many options all day. I gained 100 lbs and it all tasted wonderful. No regrets. Lol. Pool(s) were awesome. We spent a majority of our time at the largest main pool. Daily events and activities. The nearby infinity pool has a swim up bar. The "adults" pool was secluded and had fun parties and events. The children's pool(s) we're also secluded and very quiet and nice. Transportation: We Uber'd to and from the airport (15-20 min) and to anywhere else we wanted to go. It was very cheap, clean and safe. We also walked a few blocks (5 min walk) to a local super market and Starbucks (lol, we ended up just looking around and headed back to our awesome resort). Across the street is a swimming with Dolphins facility and on Thursday nights there is an awesome art festival about 5 min drive away with local bands, art vendors, food, etc. Point being, everything is safe and very close by. Service: This place went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. I wish I remembered everyone's names. Below are a few of the standouts that made our trip so memorable. Dozo - Ramon/Carlos La Plaza - Margarita Pool - Aurora Shows - Paola, Mario (Si) Performers - main female dancer (ring), main singer Check-in - all were wonderful Lobby Bar - Nancy So much more I can say... I'll edit and add more after our next trip to Hyatt Ziva Cabo. Hope this was helpful.

Yelp
I'm not sure who rated the resort a five star. It's more like a 3 star. Our room was dirty and smelled moldy. The bathroom floor was dirty! The shower is at a corner angle which is super uncomfortable. The food is the same food everyday and to my standards not good at all. The drinks suck too, all they have at the pool is cheap beer and a nasty margaritas, nothing fancy just in a glass. The only good restaurant in the resort is the one where they do Benihana style cooking. Be careful if you upgrade and have lobster they will charged an additional price of $89 per person. ...we reserved a Caba and when we got there someone else had claimed it. it took one hour to resolve the issue which I resolved myself by telling the people in our cabana you're using our cabana and here's my receipt! The people moved but wasted one hour of my reservation! An hour later another lady showed up telling me it was her cabana I again showed her my receipt and she said they told her it was hers. whoever is booking the cabanas is making mistakes!! keep your receipt and screen shot it! Overall I would never stay here again. It's not my kind of resort. I was fooled by the rating and pictures and even some reviews I read but, clearly it all depends on people's taste and this resort is not my taste. It's too big, food is horrible, beds are small not queen size as they advertise and very uncomfortable.

Yelp
Nice resort, most restaurants weren't bad at all. My favorite was Cortez. The worst was Dozo but I did not do the teppanyaki since you need reservations. Drinks weren't strong. Just ask for a shot on the side in addition to your drink. Most staff were very friendly. I really wish there was more to do in the evenings. The pool hours are 8am-8pm. Closing at 8pm? That's way too early! It's HOT!!! I was a bit disappointed in the entertainment offered at this resort. I spent every night playing pool at Spirit 68 since that's the only place that was open. They close at 1am. No one under 18 is allowed after 10pm even if you're with your parents. I ordered room service one night around 1am & I was very disappointed. I Ordered 3 orders of wings because they said there were only 4 per order. It took about 45 minutes. The wings were extremely salty. I love salty food but this was extreme! Unfortunately I couldn't eat it at all & had to put it outside my door after 2 bites. Overall I think this resort is really best for families who just want to swim/eat/read/sleep early & repeat. I won't be returning.

Yelp
Currently here right now and I am so disappointed. This is becoming a NON kid friendly resort. Since the last time I was here (July 23) they have changed so much. The 2 spas in the main pool are now 18+ which is not fair especially when the pool gets so cold at sunset. We went to the sports bar and got kicked out at 10pm and they told us you have to be 18+ to stay. The whole bar was full of families with kids and they kicked everyone out and left only 4 people there. Also, we tried to eat at the streak house (party of 5) and they said it would be at least 1.5 hour wait. This trip is becoming a real bummer because I invited my family and friends (with kids) for my 40th birthday and now I'm embarrassed and regretting it. This doesn't seem worth all the money we spent. Yelp
This hotel was a bit disappointing and a bit stressful to stay at. Food - lunch options were above average, buffet great, asian restaurant average, coffee shop great, and italian restaurant horrible. Pretty sure the alcohol is watered down because had a drink every hour and still ended up sober everyday Location - close to san jose, far from actual cabo downtown but close enough if you want to go to bars since no traffic at night Service - bizarre, very on/off depending on who you interact with Communication with guests - terrible! All their comms were outdated. Restaurants and room service menu were outdated so when you ordered something they just wouldn't have it. Flyers with restaurant times were not accurate so you'd show up to the restaurants for dinner late and stuck in a 1 hr line Organized events - average

Yelp
Had the best dinner at Zodo with chef Cesar!!!! He was the best. This resort overall is amazing the staff are fun and attentive!

Yelp
We had the best vacation ever at the all inclusive Hyatt Ziva this past week! For an inclusive resort, the service was awesome! The restaurants were outstanding along with the 24 hour room service! The entertainment team did an amazing job not just on stage but throughout the resort. Our personal favorite team is the activities team! They kept us engaged with daily aerobics classes and fun challenges! Special shout out to Norma and Miguel for creating so many special memories for us! We WILL be back!

Yelp
Housekeeping/service staff were nice and that's about it. I was not told about construction before arriving. The room we initially booked was not available because of the construction. We were placed in a smaller room that we ended up paying more for. We originally booked the Ziva suite, but ended up in a master king ocean view. Our AC also did not work correctly. We were there with our family (8 people including 2 kids ages 3 and 8 ). The kids zone was closed, so the kids had to try to enjoy the main pool which was loud from the music and construction. My in laws room flooded (room 3722) and it took about 10 hours for them to be placed in their replacement room (3718). Management was not helpful; and they did not take the issue seriously. I had significant concerns for safety in the flooded room (electrical and health). When we helped family check to see if they forgot anything, we saw them just quickly patching over things to likely rent out the room to the next guest. So I would avoid room 3722 if you can. The food was mediocre. We tried the Dozo restaurant (Asian), hacienda grill and buffet. Some of the restaurants are closed because of construction. I wouldn't stay here again. If I'm spending the same amount of money, I would rather be at a nicer resort that's not all inclusive. I usually do not complain, but this was a bad experience.

Yelp
Another Memorable trip back to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos that didn't disappoint! We Love vacationing here! The "Ziva" feeling they provide to you and your family is over the top! Each & every time we visit we are thrilled with the cleanliness of the resort & the Impeccable service they constantly provide the minute you arrive to Ziva paradise. It is definitely the phenomenal staff that is so caring that keeps us re-returning to this beautiful destination and resort. We love this beachfront location for morning walks and come back to paradise to sit poolside at the infinity pool after lounging on the hammocks sipping smoothies from the Healthy Bar.. After aqua aerobics in the pool.. Swim up to the pool bar for anything you want to drink by some kind people. You can except specialty service by the pool, whatever one you choose to be lounging at to be always serving you with a friendly smile and until you can not drink or eat anymore for the day lol.. Time for some caffeine at the coffee shop who always was happy to see us returning over and over again. To go out to dinner on the beach enjoy a remarkable show and return to Turn down services in the room ensuring that your suite is beautiful & fresh again with a chocolate by your pillow... We loved seeing this at night.. We are always happy at the Hyatt Ziva in Los Cabos & Thank You! I would like you to know the Ziva team members that made our trip Even better by providing true service from the Heart! Adriana Vasquez, was our personal concierge who made sure my daughter's birthday was Perfect in every way from balloons to desserts & addressed everything I requested. She will never be forgotten! At the Cortez restaurant we met Bryant Jose & Marco that were constantly providing A+ service! Bryant came out with our favorite drinks, Pina Coladas every day and was so quick! The Dozo had Romain Carranza who we remembered from last summer that is an Amazing Hibachi chef that is personable & knows what he is doing!! In addition at the Dozo restaurant was remarkable service provided by Razier, Heydi & Diana. At the buffet we were pleasantly greeted by a very kind woman named Margarita.. Always being cheerfully checked in on by Jose, Felipe & Margarito. Poolside you will find Spectacular service in the sunshine consistently provided by Emanuel, Miguel, Jose, & Fredo (swim up bar). The bartender Antonio (aka Spiderman) was another friend we met last year working inside the club.. Always knew our order & had it for us when we came to the bar by the Dozo. Our absolute favorite was the entertainment team that kept bringing the Fun & Energy to the pool! So many memories with the daytime crew.. Paula, Miguel, German, Victor, Mario, Roberto & Norma! Each day they would return with more Energy knowing everyone's name & really making a day time party in the pool happen!! The Nighttime entertainment crew was like a Vegas show! Full of costume changes, beautiful dancers & a super talented singer named Jaír!! Wow! He can sing so well in English & Spanish!!! Get to this spectacular show (different every night) to watch Norma, Fernanda, Julio & Roberto perform! You can truly tell they Love what they do & it shows! I know we have left many names of the Ziva employees that we had forgotten.. Their are so many truly hard working wonderful people.. Everyone truly provides Service from the Heart .. And this is why we continue to return to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos ..

Yelp
Large all inclusive resort in a good location. There are several restaurants on site that you do not need reservations to visit. Food was just alright. Can tell it's being made on a mass scale to feed all the guest. Plus it was pretty basic as far as the choices. Close to the beach although swimming isn't allowed due to the rip tides. Pools are large with one pool being heated. The larger unheated pool remains empty all day. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Plenty of service for drink and food on the beach and around the pools. Lots of nearby shopping in San Jose.

Yelp
Four adult couples vacationing in Los Cabos = FUN TIMES at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. A few points to make: 1. The staff, from front desk, to housekeepers, restaurant servers and the activities and events members, each and every person we encountered was professional, service oriented and downright friendly! Paola and Miguel (activities) were so fun and energetic. They all deserve 5 ! 2. The food was good and convenient. I would say overall the dinners were great, with some better than others. For the most part there was no wait even for our large party of 8. I'd say most all restaurants lacked in the dessert department but hey, with all inclusive no one is ever going to go hungry. We ate at almost all restaurants - Cortez, Zaffiro, Dozo, Hacienda Grill and the La Plaza (buffet), Healthy Bar, Coffee house, Spirit of 1968, the Lobby Bar and Baja Bar, well very bar!! The food at Cortez was my favorite - extremely fresh seafood prepared nicely, with robust flavors and the food presentation was 10/10. 3. The rooms - Because all four couples were celebrating anniversaries, each day we were greeted with some sweet treats like chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate truffles and bottles of champagne. One day we reserved a Palapa and with that came buckets of beer and exceptional service! 4. Events - We attended a few events like water aerobics, superhero contest, music trivia, pool black jack, guessing game, and shows at the teatro real - similar to the events you'd find on a cruise. They were exciting and fun and the best part was the energy and humor of the staff. The rooms were nice although one change I would recommend it to increase the lighting in the bathroom - it was too dark!

Yelp
We came down to this resort for a friend's wedding In early February. One of the great things is this hotel is all-inclusive so once you pay for your room everything else is covered except the tips. The staff is amazing and very attentive and looking to please their guests. The rooms are spacious with lots of storage and the bed was quite comfortable. Our room was a deluxe ocean view that also overlooked the pools. The folks below us on the first floor have their private pool that is heated which was pretty cool. The adult pool is on the other side of building 3 and while it's less populated while we're there, we were told it was heated and it was not...that said it gets a lot of the afternoon sun. We tried several of the restaurants and we had mixed reviews, it's not always Mexican fare, but it has a Mexican flair to whatever you order. Breakfast seemed the most consistent meal we had. We did not try them all. The bartenders are good for the most part, we had one grumpy one day at the pool swim-up bar, but he was also the only one for 100 people. The adult bar also has Maria's tacos which we thought were good. I am not a Hyatt guy, but I did enjoy our stay. Our only real disappointment was the mixed information we would get from staff on schedules and menu availability.

Yelp
"The corporate version of paradise results in a weird environment... getting unreasonably, boisterously hammered is a great way to spend an afternoon... " This is how a friend of mine explained our four day long, family reunion/wedding experience here. The alcoholic drinks are watered down (thanks cartels), the service is great (so long as you tip at an all-inclusive resort), and finding poolside seats is impossible (unless you wake up at 6am and vigilantly guard a permitter or pay extra for a cabana). Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is great for obese countrymen looking for a drunk, AYCE experience ("welcome home" as all the bellboys say), but it's trash coated in a thin layer of chocolate. The biggest issue I had was the reservations for hibachi. We specifically requested a 14 person table (standard, full, single table) reservation for our wedding party. But the staff botched it... 10 of us sat at one table, while the bride and groom and 2 other folks from our party were exiled to another table with total strangers. Great job Ziva Staff! You schmucks ruined our dinner. Pat yourselves on the back. Don't come here. F this place.

Yelp
We stayed here for 6 days. The first room they gave us had a Juliette Balcony and we wanted a balcony where we can sit and enjoy the view. They finally moved us to an acceptable room with a full balcony overlooking the beach. The room was really cleaned even though I always wipe my room down with lysol sheets this room was throughly cleaned. This resort is really an excellent resort. The food was great at all of the restaurants. We ate at the buffet one time for breakfast and it wasn't a pleasant experience. It had nothing to do with the hotel - it was the other guest doing unsanitary things around the food. So we chose to stay away from the buffet and we enjoyed the rest of our dining experience. The Hotel was clean and the staff was constantly cleaning and there was hand sanitizer and hand washing stations throughout the resort. Even though the beach had the black flag up our entire trip the multiple pools made up for that. The Adult pool was very relaxing with awesome drinks and tacos. The best drinks were in the Club House - very consistent and not too strong and you can really enjoy the drinks. The food in the Club House was average but not bad. The resort had good entertainment, nice fire pits and the SPA had a choice of outside huts. This resort is an excellent choice especially if you want to spend most of your time at the resorts.

Yelp
Terrible food and terrible service. Never going back here again. I'll be sending a complaint to corporate.

Yelp
My husband I came came for our honeymoon. We both loved it. It was all inclusive. The food wasn't that great. The drinks really good. The pool was a lot of fun. Everyone there was very welcome and very friendly. It was nice and clean. The beds were really comfortable. I would recommend this place. It's next to the beach.

Yelp
Edited: We stayed for a girls trip for 4 days/3 nights. Standard room/all inclusive Maybe 3.5 stars? Pros: -24/7 coffee shop that makes flavorful coffee/not watered down. -4 pools with the adult pool and the kids pool on opposite sides of the resort. -plenty of pool seating (but get there early to claim) -so many activities..like keeps everyone engaged. -plenty of options for food. -Must do the tequila tasting! -catered to birthdays. Fernanda (there are two of them/both awesome) in activities/entrainment. Great employee who caters to the guests needs while keeping the day's activities flowing. The company should give her a raise/promotion. Margarita-our serve at the buffet. Friendly and super attentive. You would be lucky to have her at your service. Downside: I do feel the rooms are a little dated. Any restrooms are in need of a major overhaul ASAP. Rooms need to be cleaned better (see picture of my fan) ours also had a major water leak. Questionable employee treatment. I observed questionable treatment of staff that highly influenced my recommend of this resort. Overall:4/10 I think it's over priced, coupled with dated rooms, and some questionable practices.

Yelp
My Family and I went to stay at the beginning of September. It was our first time staying at the Hotel. I have to say I was blown away from the beauty of the Hotel. We were greeted by a friendly staff and Front Desk. We were handed chilled cold towels to cool off from the heat. Our Rooms were amazing and our beach front views was something to dream about. We had a small child in our room and every day our cleaning staff would rool up the blanket and leave a stuff bear in front. It was a beautful touch and was fully aware of accomidating that we were a family with a small child. We were celebrating a Birthday and the room had a Bday Flan dessert and Champagne with treats waiting for us, as well as a Banner across our Door. What an amazing way to show a celebration. The pools were amazing. It was during their off-season so the pool was practically empty, which was nice. They offered pool side service in which you can order a drink and it will be delivered directly to you. They provided a lot of activities through out the day. My favorites were the ones that involved the pool. Shout out to the Activity Leaders. The Night entertainment was fantastic. Even tho we didnt leave the hotel, there were plenty of activities to do for the whole family. The Best part of our trip was the FOOD. There was La Plaza Buffet Restaurant available all day. The Options that were provided went above and beyond. The quality was amazing. I can not describe how delicious the food was. The best Buffet I have ever been too. There were 3 other restaurants we really had a great experience. My favorite was Dozo Restaurant. The Serving staff was Stellar. Super friendly and attentive. I have to give recognition to Ricardo, Jesus, Antonio, and Jessica for an outstanding service. Thank You so much for a lifetime experience.

Yelp
We were initially disappointed with our ocean view room but Jorge Salas the duty manager stepped in to rectify the issue. We were impressed with Jorge Salas and his team for the compassion, empathy, guest centricity and going the extra mile to correct the situation. Jorge checked in every day to ensure we were having a delightful, fun time at the resort. We have become an ambassador and champion of this Hyatt property and looking forward to the next stay. Plus, all inclusive resort provides extra value and Hyatt points. The resort staff is pleasant, joyful, and hard working. Thank you.

Yelp
The staff here go out of their way to make you feel at home. The service is exceptional and the property itself offers everything you need to make it a memorable stay. The rooms are spacious, very clean and updated. The beds were super comfortable, and the restaurants on the property had excellent food. Our drinks never ran out while at the pool. The price is very reasonable considering everything the hotel offers. I absolutely loved this resort, but the staff is what made it special.

Yelp
Hubby and I had a fantastic time at Hyatt Ziva. It's like going on a cruise ship where everything is included in the price. It was our wedding anniversary and they paid attention: we arrived in our lovely oceanview room where they gave us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The property is massive. There's 8 restaurants and a theater with different nightly shows at 8:45pm. There is live music at the piano bar that starts at 10pm. The coffee shop is open 24/7. They have a huge sports bar that is every man's dream cave. We loved the teppanyaki restaurant Dozo. We enjoyed the breakfast made-to-order quesadillas at the buffet as well as the nightly churros. Thank you to our favorite server Rodolfo who was always attentive to us at the buffet. The infinity pool is fantastic, it is connected to the swim up bar. I don't know why they don't heat the other giant pool. The pool exercises and activities are so fun! There are horses parked between the pool and beach if u want a "horseback riding on the sand" experience. Uber to the airport is US$15 and Uber to the Marina/Los Arcos area in Los Cabos is around US$30. Walmart and Le Comer grocery store are walking distance. We highly recommend this All-inclusive resort. We felt very safe. Thank you to the staff who stood out and were so pleasant to interact with: Bellman Bryan, Lifeguard Orlando who gave my husband first aid treatment and Kimberly Medina who responded promptly to my email questions. Gracias! We will be back! Bring cash/small bills to tip staff.
