⭐ One-Star Experience Masquerading as Five-Star Luxury||Booked two rooms one full month in advance at Hycinth Trivandrum. One week before arrival, we again checked availability and specifically requested one room for early check-in and agreed to pay the extra charges. Yet, on arrival, it was suddenly a matter of “we need to check,” and other meaningless delays. After 45 minutes of standing around at the reception, we were finally given a “temporary” room—because apparently confirmed bookings are flexible suggestions here. To add to the confusion, the card machine wouldn't work, turning a simple check-in into a full-scale endurance test.||The chaos actually started even earlier. We had requested a pickup from the railway station, which was confirmed—but the car never showed up. No call, no explanation, nothing. We were left to arrange our own cab from the taxi stand, a perfect welcome from a hotel that claims five-star standards.||Then came the real luxury experience: cold water for bathing in the room. When we called reception, the casual response was, "Some maintenance is going on. We don't know when it would be resolved". Apparently, hot water is an optional amenity here. If basic hot water isn’t guaranteed, what exactly qualifies this place as a five-star hotel?||To top it all, the reception staff were rude, dismissive, and unapologetic. No empathy, no accountability, no professionalism. Hospitality clearly isn’t their strong suit, which raises the obvious question: Why are they in the hospitality industry at all?||This was not just poor service—it was mismanagement, indifference, and arrogance wrapped in a luxury label - Hycinth Trivandrum may look five-star online, but the experience is barely one-star in reality.||Would not recommend this place to anyone who values their time, comfort, or basic courtesy.
