Hydra Hotel

We had a wonderful stay here in Hydra. We chose the room with the balcony overlooking the town and sea - it was definitely worth it! The room was very spacious, with a small kitchenette, including a fridge and kettle. |The breakfast in the small courtyard was a lovely way to start the day. |The staff were all very friendly throughout our stay. |They stored our luggage for us when we arrived in the morning and sent us a message as soon as our room was ready. |We loved our stay at the Hydra hotel!

We had an amazing stay at Hydra Hotel. The service was second to none and we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. A big recommendation 💙 The personnel were sweet, professional and very welcoming - they truly made us feel at home.

Not recommended for someone who is not up to the climb, the hotel, situated some distance up from the harbor, was wonderful for us. The location made the stay quieter, and the view lovelier. Mule transport (15 euros each way) made getting luggage in and out reasonably painless. The rooms were beautiful. We are not given to relaxing in hotel rooms much, but the wonderful ambience made us very happy to hang out there. The breakfast was great and the staff vary helpful.

Our receptionist Daphni was an amazing hostess and she's a very good professional. Very nice view from some rooms although one of them had a not-working air conditioning and the shower hot water only lasts for about ten minutes. For the upmarket price paid in low season, the breakfast REALLY needs to improve A LOT in all aspects.

Positives: Friendly helpful staff and room clean and spacious. Negatives: Overpriced, poor breakfast, no iced coffee. Awful WiFi connection in room. Suggestion for improvement: offer guests a cold drink when they arrive after the climb up all the stairs with their luggage.

Not bad location, beautiful rooms, and mediocre service. The hosts were very nice, but it took quite a bit of convincing to get a clothes iron from them and not pay a fee for each clothing item. The rooms were pretty, but the furnishing and beds seem like they were thrown in there, as if the room was meant to have one less bed than it did. The location was close but nearly 100 steps uphill, which is tiring in the heat. Not worth the price, considering other hotels had a nicer room layout, a better location and a cheaper price.

One of the most wonderful hotels we have ever stayed in. Beautiful and perfect in every way. There was a ferry strike so we stayed longer! Amazing and enormous breakfast, wonderful location and excellent staff. Very clean and we would stay here again for sure

hydra hotel is situated at the top of the island so be prepared for stairs! Get a donkey to help with bags. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, with great view of the port. Lovely patio for breakfast ( more than adequate and tasty) we relaxed in the evening there.Let's talk about Cleopatra for a minute..she is THE MOST adorable, Helpful, and kind person! Our ferry left very early so she arranged to have breakfast brought to our room the night before and arranged a donkey to carry our things to port. Well signed, very comfortable. Great place!
