Hydrant Food Hall

Too keen to eat our food to remember pictures of our brunch. Haha. This place is a hidden gem. The food looks amazing when it comes out and my favourite part is that it is CONSISTENT. You get beautiful food but you also get delicious food every time there is no lull or variation in quality. That's why we go back (They also know how to perfectly poach an egg). I'll add some good food pics next time we go but for now I'll add the desserts we took home. It's a huge claim to say so but the Banoffee pie was the single best dessert pie I've had in my life and probably the best dessert in general on my list too. I haven't eaten my freshly made chia pudding yet because I'm in a food coma. 😄❤️ The staff and owner are amazing people, we felt like we were welcomed like regulars even during our first visit which is what made us return. If you want some top tier food definitely visit. You wont regret it. 😊👍

We enjoyed the tea, the white chocolate and pistachio eclair and then because it was such a cold day I also ordered the soup and that was enjoyable in the rainy cold day! The hash browns were nice too! Our friends got dishes too. It was good to know they were halal too. One downside to it was the exit door kept opening with the wind and the cold air kept creeping in. They had a nice fireplace but the wind blowing the door open was the only let down. I was hoping they would close the door and those who need to exit can then open the door upon exiting and needing the door to open or have one door for both entrance and exit as the open door wasn’t bursting open. All in all a great spot still!

Popped in for a little date with the mini. She was keen to get the rainbow pancakes and they didnt disappoint. Staff brought her out a colouring book so I got to enjoy my meal in peace too. Was a great little spot!

My wife and I came here for a quick lunch today and were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. My wife had the Eggs Benedict with prawns and I had the smoked pork Adobo burger, both dishes were delectable. Then on the personal recommendation of our friendly waitress we shared a slice of Banoffee pie (went down a treat!). Definitely worth a visit! We will be sure to visit again soon.

The atmosphere was relaxing, not too loud, the hot matcha latter was excellent! They haven't had an official menu for the hot matcha latté, but they catered for me. We ordered eggs Benedict with pulled pork, it didn't disappoint. There was a confusion at first since we got different meal, but they were quick to change it. We appreciate it so much, especially I was looking forward to eat it. Definitely recommended. A must visit cafe in Ballarat.

It was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was charming and cozy, creating a perfect setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The head chef is an absolute legend, delivering delicious food that was also beautifully presented. We will definitely be coming back again!

We loved the environment, service, coffee, and food! They were very accommodating for children with a fun kids' menu and colouring which we really appreciated. All around it was a great experience from a lovely team, thank you 😊

Oh wow great place , friendly staff, and most importantly good food and coffee . Completed our Ballarat visit in a good note.. was hard to choose online a cafe there’s so many but this has ticked all the boxes and it’s aesthetically pleasing too!
