We had an amazing stay at the Hyll Hotel in the Cotswolds. The setting is absolutely beautiful peaceful countryside views and stunning design throughout. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. The food was excellent, especially breakfast, and the staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at HYLL, but we were aware that some other guests had a slightly different experience. We stayed for four nights in a Manor room and found it to be the most relaxing place we have stayed at for some time. The staff were so friendly and attentive, the food is delicious (if a little limited on the main menu, but only having 2 meals there it was OK) and the place is beautiful. A top notch Sunday roast greeted us and the breakfasts were delicious. Details like the artwork and books create a wonderful ambiance, and being there at the beginning of fire season didn’t harm the sense of hygge (I wonder what that means in Welsh - see the review below for that to make sense…).||The hotel is beautifully designed and very comfortable and we would certainly return. There does seem to be a demographic shift underway given the recent update of the property and, luckily, we are on the side of the change which appreciates the more contemporary feel of the place which is emerging. The owners clearly have exciting plans for the hotel, and we hope that all their hard work (and money) doesn’t undermine the intrinsic calm and peace of the place - it is something special.

The driveway up to the hotel gives you some idea of what is to come - surrounded by 60 acres so beautiful with the autumn colours. The house is stunning - we received a warm welcome and our room (4) was comfort personified. A separate lounge with tv and well stocked bar and comfy sofa. All tastefully decorated. Large bathroom with excellent toiletries and a fabulous super king bed. The grounds are a delight to explore and it’s worth a visit to nearby Chipping Camden - Miss Marple meets Midsummer Murders sort of vibe. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the food was out of this world as was breakfast the following morning. The staff are at the top of their game - friendly and helpful, they really want you to have a good time. The various lounges are comfortable and the vinyl room with the record player a lovely quirk. The WhatsApp system|For contacting the staff worked brilliantly and we received almost instant responses. We just felt looked after and the sense of quiet and relaxation was something special. The only downside was having to leave. A proper treat.

We have had the most wonderful weekend at this superb gem of a hotel. It is comfortable, relaxing, beautifully furnished and the staff are excellent. Nothing is too much for them. The sophisticated yet funky feel of the restaurant is matched by its delicious food. A wonderful nights sleep in the most comfortable bed ever - we liked it so much we couldn’t get out of it so ordered breakfast in bed! Thank you Hyll for giving us the best time. We will be back!

A charming and whimsically wonderful nights stay at this Cotswold hidden gem of a hotel. Beautiful views from the terrace and exemplary food. I had the lamb and baklava for dinner and it was delicious. Staff all lovely, warm and welcoming. Rooms were superb. I sunk into the bed after a 13k ebrington circular hike around the Cotswolds. The hotel was spotless clean and comfortable with a snug room with a vinyl record player which added to the charm and class. We got the bed and breakfast deal which includes a luxurious continental breakfast. I had overnight chia followed the full English. Best black pudding I've ever had. Great value for money considering all of this and I can't wait for my next visit. No noise from my bedroom other than a classical radio station quietly playing on a very cool looking radio when I checked into my room! The room came with robes, slide ones, all necessary electricals and a coffee machine. We stayed one night as we are off to oasis at wembley tomorrow so it just added to what will be a wonderful experience and weekend!

Aesthetically beautiful with great attention to detail where the decor is concerned. The dim lighting is moody and flattering. Beds are extremely comfortable and touches like the goodies drawer, Dyson hairdryer and clothes steamer are noticed. That being said, this hotel still has some work to do....|The staff are delightful and polite but almost so discreet that you wonder where they are at times. It feels understaffed which has repercussions on the service levels. During the evening meal it felt like there was a shortage in the kitchen which had knock on effects for the waiting staff and during breakfast, the poor team were running around like headless chickens continually apologising for the wait. Great team...just hire more of them to create the well oiled machine which is needed to make this place work. |The food was average. There was a limited but adequate menu which made me think the dishes would be superb but in reality that was not the case. The scallops were okay, lacking in any real flavour but the lamb dish was pleasant. Fine to do a limited menu but then every dish MUST be excellent! |All that being said, the hotel weirdly feels like it is trying too hard almost. To be cool, hip, super relaxing, different but still not either quite knowing how to achieve this or still not there quite yet. I could not decide which. |It's got legs definitely, but is still wobbling in flats at the moment....it needs to find its heels and walk tall and confident. Good luck to them, really wish the team the best.

Wonderful hotel! Stayed here the night before my wedding and we were truely spoiled by the fantastic team. We already can't wait to visit again! Beautifully renovated hotel to a calm space set in stunning grounds.

Stunning hotel which has only recently been renovated to the highest level and it really shows. The emphasis of the hotel is to chill and that was evident with the number of snugs filled with books, boardgames and a record player. Food was delicious including the fry up next day. The Hyll honey was a real highlight for me at breakfast. Topped with a stunning room with stocked mini bar and extremely comfortable bed, a great night's sleep was had. You really could lose yourself here for a weekend or longer.
