"We relied on this classic, old-school panini window for on-the-go lunches between shopping and museums; they even serve glasses of wine to go, and their giant sammies are perfect to take down the street and eat al fresco." - Coolstuff Team

Great traditional sandwich spot in Florence — worth a visit. A classic, old-school sandwich shop tucked away down a quiet street in Florence. They have loads of options to choose from, with generous portions and very reasonable prices. Service was quick and they also offer takeaway drinks at good prices, which is a nice touch. The sandwich itself was packed with fresh, flavourful fillings and felt properly traditional. The only slight downside is that the bread is very crusty, making the sandwich a little dry overall — something to be aware of if you prefer softer bread. Also, there’s no seating outside, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. That said, it’s still a great, authentic place for a proper Tuscan sandwich. Would happily recommend for a quick, tasty bite while exploring the city.

Google
There is another nearby shop that sells similar sandwiches with a very long line. We tried this one due to a recommendation from our Airbnb host. The wait wasn't too long. The sandwiches are huge as seen from the pictures. They're not bad. I assume the local sandwiches are all similar and I can't justify the long line for it.

Google
Grabbed schiacciata sandwiches after long exhausting hot afternoon traveling and touring Florence. Quick service, grab and go sit on a stoop to enjoy. Would recommend a sandwich with more sauce - mine was slightly dry. My husband had the #3 and loved it.

Google
Long queues for a sandwich but the line does move fairly quickly so don’t like this discourage you! Lots of options, I visited twice and tried both the panini and the sandwich - I preferred the panini as found the sandwich was a bit dry. I tried the ham, cream cheese and rocket, and the salami - both used high quality ingredients and were enjoyable. A good lunch option when around the cathedral!

Google
Simple but very tasty. The mozzarella was fresh and delicious. They have a menu but you can also build your own sandwich. The parsley sauce is a great addition to many sandwiches. Be warned that there are some stools outside but don’t bank on getting to sit. The line looks long but goes fast! Definitely worth it.

Google
There’s two ordering windows, people!! Don’t get caught in the first one. 7€ for schiacciata, choose a flavor. Yum! Take it back to your place and fix it up for a nice lunch.

Google
Great traditional sandwich spot, lots of choice on the menu and all ingredients were super fresh. Huge portions, we had x2 panini speciali between 5 adults. Went for ham, mozzarella & tomato (no.3), and salami & artichoke (no.18) - both very delicious!

Google
Fantastic. - really quick - great price ESPECIALLY for the area - most importantly… tasted amazing! The flavours/aromatics were just phenomenal. Atmosphere gets full marks just because it’s so cool that it’s an alcove on the street.

Yelp
The best place to get classic Florentine sandwiches. It's a small booth and there's no inside seating but they do have chairs if you can grab one. The line is long right around lunch time but it moves fairly fast. They have a variety of choices so you might need time to decide. We got the proscuitto arrosto e crema tartufata and finocchiona e crema de formaggio. Proscuitto Arrosto E Crema Tartufata- The bread is soft and fresh. The roasted ham is tasty and the truffle cream adds a lovely flavor and ties the dish together. Finocchiona E Crema De Formaggio- Can't sing enough of their bread's praises! The tuscan salami is spicy and flavorful. The fennel is slightly sweet and the cream cheese is smooth and light. Great experience overall!

Yelp
Owner is racist, as he took away my seat and chair while I was eating and gave it to a European couple. I am an Asian female. ***updated 2025 post- I showed the owner and pointed at my boyfriend who was in line multiple times that we were purchasing food. *** updated 2023 post - Apparently my post was blocked because the owner of the store tried to cover my true experience. Racist owner randomly took my table and chair while I was eating on it to give to a Caucasian European couple. l'm an Asian female by the way. I showed him that my boyfriend was waiting in line to purchase food and constantly assured him we were using them and that we were buying food. He still took my table and chair and said I'll give you another one- to which it down graded to eating off 3 short chairs. I told the European couple that it wasn't fair that the server took our table to give to them and they just smiled and dismissed me. Racism at its finest. Their sandwich is not good. Actually the sandwich shop across the street I' Grone De Ghiotti is way better with service and sandwich taste. Sadly I don't think this post will change the attitude of the owner.

Yelp
Outstanding! I had heard a lot about these sandwiches and was so excited to finally visit. All of the ingredients were to fresh and flavorful. I tried three sandwiches but, the one that stood out was the one with Capocollo, pecorino and artichoke spread. For sure worth a wait in line!

Yelp
So nice we had to go twice, or actually come to this one once and the one next door a different time. The place next door (which is what I'm assuming the other Yelp page for I Fratellini, not I 2 Fratellini) is the OG place and the place you can buy alcohol from. Yes, you can buy it from this side but only when the one next door is open. But I wasn't in need of alcohol at 10am so it was ok. We happened to stay at an Airbnb across the street (literally 5 steps away), which I was excited for because I had I Fratellini on my radar before I booked the place, so we were able to get a sandwich and come upstairs and eat it. The place next door opens later at around 11am but we were starving after we saw David. We were just going to head back to our apt but noticed that this one was open earlier. Turns out they do this on purpose to catch more business, which I think is pretty smart. The menu and food quality is exactly the same as next door. The people working were so friendly and nice. They helped us pick the perfect sandwiches. The case is so beautiful with all the sandwich fixings. We didn't have a line for this occasion but it goes by fast and the proximity of the buildings shields you from most of the sun and all that so there were no issues.

Yelp
The service was great!! The whole family brings so much personality & fun to the dining experience! The food was wonderful!! This is where we chose to have our traditional Florentine steak & it was delicious! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
First Impressions: dunno how I missed this spot on yelp, but I ended up staying at the AirBnB across the street... came back from a shopping excursion, and saw a super long line, which piqued my interest The Noms: I got the #1 (prosciutto, cream cheese, arugula) and hubby got the #30 (roast turkey, tomato, salad). I love the crunchy crisp top of the bread and the ratio of meat/cheese to bread was perfect... but the cream cheese was waaaaay too much. I had to scrape it off. Hubby loved his dad which and said it was the best one he's had in all of Florence... I felt like the "roast turkey" resembled packaged deli meat more than roast turkey. In Conclusion: I much prefer the Marsala (speck, smoked provolone, honey) at the spot around the corner (In Vino Veritas) versus this spot or the very popular All'Antico Vinaio (whose sandwiches are very good but too heavy and too much)

Yelp
If you're in Florence and looking for an easy and tasty sandwich while on the go, then Fratellini is the place to go. They have 2 locations (the second one is literally to the right of it) both are on a small side street near the shopping area. Both windows had 2-3 people behind the counter and can whip up was a bit undecided so they let me create my own. We both thought they were perfectly sized and tasted great. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Viona C.

Yelp
Solid sandwich! The bread is a little more dense for my liking, but still pretty good and quick / easy to eat. The sandwich was super affordable and ranged from 5-7 euros! I asked for a recommendation because I honestly didn't know what to choose and they recommended something with truffle cream. The truffle cream was perfect. It wasn't too truffle it but enough to make this sandwich well worth it. Got an aperol spritz to wash it all down as well. There isn't much seating; only two small tables set up, but there's plenty of seating spots around the block!
google avatar

Nat B.

Yelp
I was with my tour guide, and she asked me if I have any plans after the tour to explore Florence more. I told her that I was going to a sandwich shop recommended by friends. She said, "I hope it's not All'Antico Vinaio," and I embarrassingly responded that she was right. She said that she'll show me a better sandwich shop that is authentic, more affordable, and has a shorter line, leading me to Fratellini! So glad that she was with me because I would have not known about this place and what to order. I got #15, which is the finocchiona and is one of the menu favorites. It's salami with fennel seeds and cream cheese. It was unforgettably delicious, and I was full for the rest of the evening. Fun fact, finocchiona is a favorite of Macchiavelli, who was born in Florence. I also bought their family wine, which I wished that I had gotten more of because you will not find their wine anywhere else! I must come back so that I can eat their sandwich outside and enjoy a glass of wine, which is such a vibe in Florence.

Yelp
Yeah, the hype is real. Just a few blocks from El Duomo in the heart of Florence, your perfect lunch awaits. When the line is long, you know it's good! And this is for takeaway sandwiches only, so it moves fast. 30+ options for sandwiches and you can't go wrong with any. All are a simple 4 euro - cheap and delish! If you're hungry, id recommend splitting another one with a friend so you can taste more than one. We got the: - prosciutto, soft cheese and arugula - salami and cream cheese - pork and truffle cream and all were incredible. Grab a stool out front or find another spot with a view, and you've got the ideal lunch!

Yelp
Counter-service sandwich spot that's not to be missed! Okay, yes, I made this place a destination because Conan went there on a remote segment, but it's genuinely amazing. I tried the ham, goat cheese and rocket salad panino, as well as the tuna, tomato and onion one. At 4€ each, you really cannot go wrong.
google avatar

Vanessa A.

Yelp
Came here to grab some sandwiches for lunch and there was a long line, but it was worth it and it went by quickly! Make sure that you look at their menu before getting to the front so that you don't hold up the line. I thought that the sandwiches was a perfect size for a midday lunch (considering I was having all three meals plus all of the gelato and pastries). It was the most affordable lunch that we had in the trip since the sandwiches were less than 5 euros!

Gianna C.

Yelp
Favorite sandwich in Florence. Got lunch there almost everyday during my study abroad. Affordable, delicious, kind staff.

Yelp
You know a place is good when there is a long line. But fear not; the line here moves quickly. I ordered the #28, which features roast pork and truffle cream. The sandwich was delicious. I would recommend anyone to this amazing and tasty restaurant.
google avatar

Yutika N.

Yelp
definitely worth the hype! A hole in the wall find, standing tall since the 1800's. They have good vegan and vegetarian options. We ordered the vegetarian and tomato cream cheese panini with cheese and chilli!! Sipped them down with some chilled Prosecco! Both the paninis were amazing flavours. There is no seating space, so be prepared to sit on the street side while you eat or walk and eat! Loved the vibe, service and the food. Definitely recommend

Yelp
A great place for a quick lunch while exploring Florence. It doesn't look like much, but the sandwiches were delicious. They have wine by the glass. There was something charming about just standing outside the place enjoying our meal. They did a lovely gluten free version of their turkey sandwich with no bread for me - very accommodating to the special request - good service. Everyone else enjoyed the bread. We would definitely come back here again if we find ourselves in Florence.

Yelp
I actually saw this place on a Rick Steve's episode on kpbs- it was only like a short segment, but I remembered it lol. When we arrived in Florence, we were hungry after we checked in our hotel and I had bookmarked this place on my maps. It was an 8 min walk and when we finally arrived we saw a long line. I hate lines but honestly the line moved really quick and it was worth it. It's a tiny shop.. actually it's not even a shop.. it's more like a stall in a wall. Three guys working- one taking orders and pouring wine, the other making the sandwiches, and the third drawing the customers in. Their menu is fairly long, but all good things! Great things actually! We asked for recommendations and I went with number 28 which had ham with truffle cheese spread and OMG this sandwich was to die for! (If you like truffle). This sandwich was so good and incredibly flavorful- I was in love! My husband ordered one of their other favorites which was prosciutto and something.... clearly I was distracted by my own sandwich lol. Amazing sandwiches and you can have a glass of wine in the alleyway- neat! Not expensive, super friendly, and they take credit cards!

Yelp
This is the place for a delicious sandwich and a glass of really good Italian wine and yes you will just hang out on the sidewalk sip your wine and have a sandwich theres no seating area its just a walk up counter. When your done leave the wine glass on the shelf -see it on the wall there- this is a mid day snack place in Florence you need to visit. The price is very very reasonable.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
This is a literal hole in the wall down a narrow alley - pretty much the quintessential spot. And it's just steps from Piazza della Signoria, so you could eat your sandwiches next to the replica of Michelangelo's David or underneath the giant arches in the open-air sculpture gallery they have in the square. It's a pretty unique choice for lunch. They serve sandwiches with a wide variety of ingredients to choose from, and while they are a bit bready, they still deserve 5 stars because they are seriously cheap, and the ingredients taste very fresh. Bonus points because Conan O'Brien and Jordan Schlansky ate here during Conan's trip to Italy special. Eat like the stars, I say.

Yelp
I Fratellini is a small family-run Italian wine bar and sandwich shop that opened in Florence, Italy in 1875. The name translates to "The Little Brothers" in Italian, but the establishment is informally known as "I Due Fratellini" ("The Two Little Brothers") to the locals. This type of establishment is known as a "vinaino", which is a type of old-fashioned street wine vendor. At one time, Florence had several "vinaini" scattered around the city. Today there are only a handful of these traditional establishments left. The owners prepare delicious sandwiches that are made with fresh local ingredients from small Tuscan producers. My wife and I visited I Fratellini in July 2018 while we were honeymooning in Italy. During our stay in Florence, we decided to stop there for a quick lunch one day. We had heard about them in the Rick Steves' Italy guidebook. It is just a short walk away from Piazza della Signora and the Palazzo Vecchio. The space is so small that customers can't even actually go inside. There's a small entrance with a counter and behind it are a couple of workers, a small kitchen area and shelves filled with wine bottles. They had a menu posted which consisted of 30 different "panini" that only cost €4 each. My wife and I both decided to order the 'Panino of the Day': Burratina with fresh tomatoes and greens served on a ciabatta roll. It was out of this world! We each ordered a glass of Chianti to go with our panini and ate on the street with other customers. Long lines can form during the lunch rush, but the line moves very quickly. This is fast food Florentine style! When you're finished with your glass of wine, simply place it on one of the shelves that's mounted on the wall outside the entrance and then you can be on your way. Not only was our lunch fast and fresh, but also very cheap. We highly recommend this historic gem in the middle of one of Italy's most beautiful cities!
google avatar

Amie D.

Yelp
Let the tourists go to that other panini place (not naming because they are good, but, ugh...those lines....not worth it when you can go here), those who know find this little gem tucked off Via dei Calzaiuoli on Via dei Cimatori. 4 euro for a big array of fresh, large panini, as well as wine in small and regular pours, ranging from 2-4 euro. It is a steal! Always friendly, fast and fun to hang and chat with folks. And they have shelves to place your wine on while you eat - practical and helpful! No seating but there is public seating a few steps away on the main pedestrian thoroughfare. They prove great things come in small storefronts ;)
google avatar

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
We came here as our first lunch stop in Florence on our honeymoon. There wasn't a line which was nice. Very quick. The prosciutto paninis were amazing! And pairs well with aperol spritz :)
google avatar

Claire S.

Yelp
Well worth the wait! We heard about lots of panino shops in Florence but decided to try this one, and I'm glad we did! It's a little shop right in the heart of the city. The line was quite long when we arrived, so prepare to wait... but they came around with menus, so you can spend the time deciding what to order. They have quite a large selection of pre-designed panini, and from that you can add or take away things. I got a sandwich with mortadella, burrata and the truffle sauce and it was delicious! If you're a truffle fan, I highly recommend. It's a tiny hole in the wall, so there is no seating... but it's centrally located, so you can bring them with you to anywhere in the city.

Yelp
When we were in Florence, it was an absolute coincidence that we apparently ate at a panini place that was the exact same place that Jordan Schlansky took Conan O'Brien to when they visited Italy in 2018! It was the exact same worker that made our sandwiches too! I Fratellini was established back in the year of 1875, and on Yelp they have an average of a 4.5-star rating with over 150+ written reviews! Their paninis were really awesome and their prices are only €4, as of 2019. My favorite was their Prosciutto Arrosto, Creama Tartufata; which is their Roast Pork Ham, Truffle Cream sandwich. The workers were extremely friendly, and they'll let you know their most popular selling paninis. They also sell wine too. There is no seating available, but they do have shelves up against their exterior walls that you can place your wine glasses while you eat & socialize. This place is also walking distance to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The next time I'm in Florence, I assure you I will return!
google avatar

Sze Ting L.

Yelp
Although this place was very good for value (4 euros for a sandwich!), I was still very disappointed with the overall experience. The sandwiches were very overhyped for me - mostly bread that was actually kind of hard despite being warm, it scraped my upper jaw and I wish there were more ingredients and filling.
google avatar

Yvonne Y.

Yelp
great selection (29???) of sandwiches and they hand you a menu while you're in line so you're ready to order. great bread but i prefer a bit more meat or may be a little less bread. wonderful wine and non-alcoholic drink selection. our wait midday was around 20 min
google avatar

Camille K.

Yelp
We came late in the afternoon. They were out of Porchetta so I ended up getting tuna with tomatoes and red onions. I really enjoyed my sandwich. Sadly I didn't get any photos. My companions had wine with their sandwiches and really enjoyed being able to drink and watch the sights.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Delicious paninis at this hole in the wall. Too much bread from what I saw when they were making them, so When I ordered our sandwiches we piled on 3 extras for 50 cents each. Yummy! Got the spicy salami and cheese, added onions, artichokes, tomatoes. Don't forget to ask for a drizzle of balsamic. My wife got the sausage and eggplant. She spiced hers up like mine. Wow. The Italian sausage is raw - best I've ever had. Primo!

Morgan B.

Yelp
Delicious sandwich. Got the porchetta with truffle sauce and arugula and it was great! Huge sandwich for what we paid too!

Melinda Z.

Yelp
Gooooodness! I feel bad for anyone that got a panino (sandwich) anywhere else in Florence. I got the ham & truffle (added arugula) and it was out of this world. BF got the spicy salame & creamy cheese. His was really good, but we both agreed mine was probably the best sandwich either of us has ever had in our LIVES. And we are both in our 40's. Stand in line. Get the sandwich.
google avatar

Jason X.

Yelp
Kind of overhyped - I can't go lower than 3 stars because it's cheap and the ingredients seemed of good quality, but the sandwich was 85% bread. I guess the American in me cares more about filling-to-bread ratio than Italians.
google avatar

Isabella B.

Yelp
The cheap way to eat in Florence are these sandwich shops that serve panini under €5. There's numerous shops that do this - I found this sandwich shop by stumbling onto it during my lunch after visiting the Uffizi. The main clientele for these sandwich shops are the Florentines but tourists love them as well because they are cheap and filling! You can get a sandwich and a glass of wine all under €10. The shop is a literal hole in a wall with a menu of 30 sandwiches to your left and shelves of wine bottles behind the counter and to the right. Two brothers own and run this shop. Upon approaching the shop I practiced ordering my sandwich in Italian. He took it positively and made light conversation as he made my sandwich (and as I was eating it). Little serendipity moments such as these can make your travels a lot more meaningful. From the suggestion of the guy behind the counter I got #28: Prosciutto Arrosto, Crema Tartufata (Roast pork ham, truffle cream). I love truffles and the truffle flavor really blends in well with the soft prosciutto. I've had prosciutto before but to have it in its source country is a pleasure as the cut is at least one grade above everything else. I also had a glass of wine with my sandwich and they surely filled that small cup! Subway take note: now this is how you do a €5/$5 sandwich. Sure it may not be footlong but I'm giving up quantity for quality as every bite of this sandwich was superb.
google avatar

Sierra S.

Yelp
The best sandwich I've had so far. This place appears to be a hole in the wall, with hardly any seating. The cheeses, tomatoes, meats, all the ingredients are so fresh. They cut the meat right there for you. The sandwiches are so affordable too! I wish I could eat these every day.
google avatar

Kristina P.

Yelp
My friend who is a Michelin Star Chef recommended we check out this place while we were in Firenze, and boy oh boy was I happy we did. Line was kind of long, but it went by really quickly. I ordered the prosciutto, cheese, arugula sando, my cousin got the porchetta sando, and my other cousin got the anchovies & butter sando. (Italians love their anchovies) I tried all of them, and the one I got was my favorite, but man were these sandwiches so good! And such a good price! Of the whole trip, this was the best "quick eat". So simple, So delicious! So with our Sandos in hand, we went shopping at the many stores in walking distance of this place. And when you do, you get bottlenecks staring down your sandwich and then asking you 2 seconds later where you got it.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Had the first option: Prosciutto, cheese, and arugula sandwich with a spritz. Enjoy it while admiring the architecture.
google avatar

Brooke G.

Yelp
it's popular for a reason. was really great and the sandwich was amazing. not that long of a wait. goes fast. enjoy
google avatar

Vicki S.

Yelp
Easily my favorite sandwich shop in Florence. Don't be scared by the ever present line, it moves super fast ( These guys are sandwich making machines!) and is well worth the wait. Most everything is around 3 or 4 euros, on incredible bread and the ingredients are top flight. Tip- grab a menu to study while in line, once you get to the counter be ready to order, they will have your food ready by the time you have dug out the change to pay. 5 stars, these guys are rockstar!
google avatar

Becca S.

Yelp
This is the most amazing little sandwich shop. I was looking at some pictures from my trip to Italy last year and came across one of the sandwich I got here. It was amazing. So simple but so delicious. My friend and I just stumbled upon it. There was a line down the alleyway so we knee it had to be good. We were not disappointed. I had the prosciutto, goat cheese, and wild rocket. If you use great ingredients, you make a simple sandwich something that you remember a year later. I hope to go again someday.
google avatar

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
Cheap, delicious sandwiches that's perfect for a quick lunch or snack as you explore the streets of Florence. It's a little bit hard to find this little gem, given that there's a lot of small streets in this area, but look for people standing around with sandwiches or follow the pigeons that are always scouring for the bread crumbs ;) I got #1 with prosciutto, arugula, and goat cheese - so simple but incredibly tasty flavors. It's amazing what a 3 ingredient sandwich can do to your taste buds! The bread is a little bit on the harder/tougher side, but I ended up giving away the extra, unfinished bread to the birds and they REALLY loved it. Fat pigeons are surprisingly entertaining, so consider this a quick meal and entertainment.
google avatar

Camille C.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! Including a photo of the sandwich that represents my emotions perfectly as only bitmoji could. I ordered the prosciutto and mozzarella because of Jordan Schlansky, who made me crave this from the YouTube video of him and Konan biting into this crispy and hearty masterpiece, and I was not disappointed. The bread was crusty and toasted perfectly, and contained a generous portion of prosciutto and fresh mozzarella. Highly recommend- definitely a highlight!
google avatar

Zahydie B.

Yelp
Unlike many others yelpers, I was not aware of how famous this spot was until I was ready to type up my review. We ate here because we were hungry, it was cheap at 4 euros, there was no line and it seemed like they had a huge selection of sandwiches. I had the turkey and salad (#30) and at best it was bland. I requested mayo, which in my opinion saved the day. The turkey was good, but it was not a flavorful sandwich. Now, the bread was unique and I could've just had it alone. I am not saying that this was a bad place to eat at, but I do not agree with the fanfare. The sandwich artist was great, kind and had a huge smile; he truly looked happy doing his job.

Yelp
Awesome place close to the Duomo been around for four generations. Fast service. Wines by the glass. Amazing, don't miss this one for lunch!
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Went here because saw on the Netflix Conan show for Italy. I had the prosciutto and goat cheese sandwich. Really friendly service. I thought there sandwich was far better than the more famous panini place around the corner. I didn't have time to go again unfortunately...
google avatar

Liz C.

Yelp
Fabulous, literal "hole in the wall" sandwich shop. Twenty eight sandwiches on the menu. I have tried 6.... All delicious. Don't look for a place to sit, but you can have a glass of wine standing at the counter. All sandwiches are 3 euros. Find a great spot and have a picnic!

Joelc73 ..

Yelp
What a place. No seating but didn't matter. People sitting everywhere on the streets after getting these amazing sandwiches.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
As soon as we landed in Firenze we were eager to grab some food and a glass of Chianti. During a Rick Steve's episode on Florence, Rick stopped by this small cubby of a wine and sandwich shop. It has been in operation for over four decades and it looked really cool so we decided to make it our first stop. It did not disappoint! The mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich was to die for. The Chianti reserva was out of this world. The guys are super friendly, speak great English and have a great story. They even make a cameo in a hilarious Conan O'Brien skit. Inspire of all of their fame, there wasn't a wait. A definite stop when in Firenze.

Yelp
A great little wine & sandwich shop near Saint Michele church. This place has been around since 1875. They have wine and really great little sandwiches. The Italian bread was yummy. It's a stand and eat place. When your done with your wine you place on the rack. A really great find. Wish I would have found it before my last day or I would have gone again.

Yelp
Okay, I feel bad giving I Due Fratelli only three stars, but I was a bit underwhelmed considering all the hype. After the initial bites and me going, "ooh, this is good," I ended up thinking, "so this is it?" with more than half a sandwich to go. First of all, and maybe this is me being shy, but I initially wanted to ask the guys behind the counter for a recommendation I noticed from the people who ordered before me that they didn't interact a ton with the customers. They did, though, produce a sandwich very quickly. When it was my turn, after studying the menu very carefully while in line I decided to order the #4, which had roast pork ham (and I am leaving out a comma for a reason that I will explain below) and parsley sauce. My first impression of the sandwich was how warm and crusty the roll was. I love me a good piece of bread, and I Due Fratelli has fantastic bread to compliment their sandwich fillings. I also have to say the parsley sauce is very tasty. Very herby with possibly a bit of raw garlic in there to give it a bit of a kick. As for the meat, I expected a slice of porchetta and a slice of ham. Bite after bite I kept thinking that maybe the pork was on the bottom of the sandwich since I clearly saw and tasted a piece of ham. Finally, I opened up my sandwich and alas, there was no other piece of meat to be eaten. Perhaps this altered my opinion of the sandwich too much, but after finding this out I merely finished my sandwich out of obligation. So yes, I 2 Fratelli is cheap, has fantastic bread, and the parsley sauce is very flavorful. But I'd rather shell out two more euro for a panini from another place that has way more meat and fillings. Sorry, Florence.

Yelp
Loved this little hole in the wall sandwich shop. Got the porchetta, which was ok, but the ambiance was everything. Grabbed my sandwich and wine and sat on the curb to people watch. This place seemed really popular with tourists and locals alike. Good pricing and would recommend for a quick bite.
