Stepping back in time to in the renaissance... All mosaics are produced in the according to the original techniques dating back to the 16th century. Awesome place, you must see!!!

Different kind of attraction, wau. It was interesting to get a private guided tour to over 500 hundred years old craftmanship. And the works were unbelievable feat and beautiful.

Wandering down the road late one afternoon we stumbled into this workshop and were stunned at the intricate skills of this art form. One of the artists was very informative and gave us a lesson and demonstration on how their art is crafted. An absolute highlight of our trip to Florence. Some of the pieces are for sale, but there was no attempt at any kind of sales pitch.

Not a tourist spot, but if you are in the area and want to impress even the most difficult person to impress this is it. I was blown away with craftmanship and difficulty of what these mosaics take to create. The artists here have a very keen eye for colors and they pop off the final product. Knowing what is involved in the making of just one of the smaller peices makes the cost worth it, if not cheaper than they should be. Worth it to see in person.

We had an excellent tour of the workshop. Carlotta at the workshop was most helpful and gave us an outstanding introduction to the process of making stone inlays. They have some excellent pieces there - some for sale and others on display.
