Our worst hotel stay - I want to warn everyone about this disappointing experience. The exterior of the property was poorly maintained with visible graffiti and trash around the premises.||Here's why I cannot recommend this place:|- Poor location with no view to speak of|- Extremely small rooms that appear much larger in promotional photos - we barely had space to walk once our luggage was inside|- Unprofessional staff who seemed disinterested in providing service|- Pervasive cigarette smell throughout|- Problematic parking situation requiring expensive valet service, which was unreliable (our attendant arrived 40 minutes late for our scheduled departure despite follow-up)||We booked this hotel for our honeymoon and expected quality accommodations given the premium price - it actually cost more than any of our other hotel bookings during our 3-week trip to Italy.||The 4-star rating is misleading. After researching, I learned that Italian hotel star ratings are based on technicalities like having in-room air conditioning and breakfast service rather than overall quality standards.||I strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodations that deliver value for the price. The positive reviews for this property do not match our actual experience at all.

Fantastic overnight stay in a great located hotel - easy walkable to all the attractions, meters away from the pedestrian streets. Staff was very kind and helpful with locating parking. Look for the big door as it is not easy to see the sign for the hotel.

Small hotel on the 4th floor of an old building of the "Cassa di Risparmio" via Roma. Accessible by a new elevator. The location is great, though noisy at night, the breakfast is mediocre, and the staff is kind and friendly. However, it's far from a 4-star hotel. It's old and quite dark. The reception is open until 9:00 p.m. They give you three keys from another era to open the building, the 4th floor, and your room, which has no security access. Paint is falling off the wall in the common areas on the way to the elevator. The hotel sign outside says 4 stars, but it's more like 2. Therefore, a mixed feeling of our stay...

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at I Portici Boutique Hotel. The atmosphere was truly special, and everything was just perfect. The hotel is incredibly comfortable, with impeccable attention to detail. The staff was exceptionally kind and always available, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. My experience was truly delightful, and I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional stay!

Good value for money, if you want a hotel in the city center. The hotel is on the top floor of an old building in the heart of the city. It's a good location, although noisy. The soundproofing, however, is excellent. The mattresses are a bit firm but comfortable. The staff is attentive and very friendly.

I loved this place! Now it’s a small hotel in a small town. So don’t be picky. The room was huge. The bed was a little hard. But the views were so great. I loved the tile and the furniture. The windows open and bells tolled. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was expansive. Nice w breads and hard boiled eggs and fruit. Juices. Water. Order any coffee for no fee. We loved the old keys! Like from a castle. Just a little heavy. So fun. Everything is walking distance.

Small hotel on the 4th floor of a centrally located,old, office building. Reached by an old elevator. Location is great. Breakfast is simple and fine. The staff is nice and friendly. |However, it's far from a 4 star hotel. It's old, and pretty dark. The front desk is staffed till 9 pm. They Gove you 3 keys to open the building, the 4th floor, and your room. |There's no lobby to the building. The paint is falling from the wall on the way to the elevator. |The fruits left in our room are a nice gesture, but we're soft and borderline rotten. |The hotel street sign outside is of 4 stars, but it's more of like 2. I'll be generous and give them 3 because of the nice staff.|So, for a 4 star expectation, the are unacceptable. If the expectation is 2 star, they are good. |
