We had the most amazing and special stay at Tre Bacilli. Filippo, Maria and Sabrina are excellent hosts and you can really feel their passion and warmth throughout the whole hotel. The rooms are excellent, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and varied (we had coffee, fruit salad, yogurt, eggs with toast, ham & ricotta and a selection of cakes most mornings). The hotel itself is stunning, the terrace, garden and pool area are so quiet and peaceful. Was the perfect place for us to unwind and chill. Spongano is a small town but there are restaurants in the town which are good, and there are lots of towns nearby which have great restaurants and lidos to go swimming if you want to go to the sea. There is off street parking which we used during our stay. Filippo and the team helped me organise proposing to my girlfriend at the hotel which was incredibly special and I can’t thank them enough for the thought and sentiment they put into making the moment as stress free as possible. They also helped me organise a dinner with a private chef and waiter which was excellent. Seeing how invested and how much my experience meant to Filippo and his team was really heart warming and summarised the spirit of the hotel perfectly. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at "I Tre Bacili" for two nights while working remotely, so we didn’t get to explore the area as much as we’d like—but we still had a great time! The hotel is stylish and thoughtfully designed, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh, local, and beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. It’s also really well located, just a short walk from the sea, which makes it perfect for both work and relaxation. We’d definitely love to come back when we have more time to enjoy everything the area has to offer!

My wife and I spent two weeks in Puglia and Rome for our honeymoon, staying at six different places in many different towns. And our favorite place we stayed was without a doubt I Tre Bacili and the perfect town of Spongano. Everyone here was incredibly thoughtful and nice! The breakfast in the garden was the perfect way to start each day. We loved our suite and loved to come home at night and relax on our private rooftop patio. Spongano was perfect and so relaxing. We had many great meals at the local restaurants and loved hanging out in the square in the evenings!

Behind the doors of I Tre Bacili, we found a beautiful setting and peaceful atmosphere. Our room was tastefully decorated and the small details were much appreciated. We can't say enough about Maria Grazia, Sabrina and staff that went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Breakfast on the terrace was plenty with homemade items that were delicious! Our stay was a blend of comfort, charm, and authentic Puglian hospitality.

At I Tre Bacili we felt like we were staying at a beautiful home of a dear friend who loves art, food and culture. Every morning we started the day with an outstanding breakfast and heartfelt conversations by the luscious gardens. The variety of local cheeses and pastries allowed us to experience Puglia and its rich culture through food. During the evenings, we gathered by the gorgeous pool with tasty Campari drinks and stargazed the beautiful Puglia sky. Overall, we leave I Tre Bacili with an eagerness to come back to visit our friends and enjoy again this very special place. If you are looking forward to an unforgettable experience in Puglia, this is your place!

My daughter and I, who are frequent travellers to Europe, and very particular in our hotel requirements, searched for the perfect location as our home base in Puglia. We are so happy in our choice of I Tre Bacili Dimora Salentina, in Spongano. ||It is a peaceful, private, and secure oasis in a charming southern Puglia village. The owner and designer went to great length in every detail of the small hotel. The room we stayed in, the Presidente, was very very spacious by European (and American) standards. The mattress was very comfortable, excellent quality linens like in a Four Seasons Hotel, sophisticated decor and accent pieces and lighting from Milan. The one negative in the room was the air conditioning system. It was too "high tech" for me to figure out. It would be helpful to leave a little directional manual how to operate it in the room.||The outdoor area our room faced onto was a charming garden which was professionally arranged by a landscape expert. It was beautiful. We ate breakfast outside looking out onto it. Did I mention this breakfast area backed up to the back wall of an ancient village church. So charming!||The pool area was equally well thought out in it's design, sense of privacy, and charm. The landscaping was just exquisite. My daughter and I sat out at the pool for rest and relaxation. One thing maybe the hotel needs to look into is a smell at one end of the pool. I don't know what it is. Otherwise, it was an ideal space to unwind and read a book after a busy day touring Puglia.||If this doesn't make you want to come and stay at I Tre Bacili Dimora Salentina, let me tell you the BEST part! The hospitality of the staff and breakfast was amazing. Maria is a prize employee and treated us like two princesses. She runs the Dimora as if she owns it with attention to detail and generosity. We came in late the first day on a rainy evening and she found some aperitifs for us. She was happy to arrange dinner reservations, reservations at a spa for us.....no end to her willingness to help us. Maria greated us each day with an enormous "good morning" and breakfast offerings. They offer a full English Breakfast if you would like.....which was made from delicious fresh ingredients and prepared on the spot. If you prefer an American breakfast, they offer that as well with fresh capuccino, fresh squeezed orange juice, yogurt, fresh fruit salad, and a large assortment of freshly baked Puglian specialties. Maria bakes each morning and she is an expert baker! All pastries were mouth-watering. In fact, Maria was kind enough to send me her recipe for Puglian Pasticiotto which she made a few times with different filllings, over our 5 day stay. There was no end to Maria’s baking talent!|Also to note the woman who cleaned our room was lovely and did a wonderful, thorough job cleaning our room and the entire facility. Sabrina, Stefania, and Damiana were all so kind and helpful. I would definitely stay at I Tre Bacili again while in Puglia. Also, street parking is not a problem, or the hotel as their own private parking lot. My daughter and I loved it at I Tre Bacili and can’t wait to go back!!!

Absolutely top place! If you fancy feeling like a Roman is hosting you in their Villa in a remote yet charming village - you found your place. The staff is delightful as is the chef in their Cooking Course (highly entertaining!). |Grazie mille Maria Grazia and Sabrina!

My partner and I had the most amazing experience at Tre Bacili. We stayed there for a week in July and the hospitality from Maria and Sabrina was wonderful. They would help you with everything you needed and had great suggestions of where to explore in the local area. The breakfasts were delicious. Our personal favourite was the Tiramisu cake on our final morning! Our room was spacious and well designed. The shower was very cool with a skylight above us and the bed was comfortable! The water bottles that you could refill in reception was a great touch as well. We went on the wine tour at Castel Di Salve in the neighbouring town which was a great experience. We also went to Lecce and Sabrina gave us a great parking spot recommendation! Our favourite thing we did was go to Cala dell'Acquaviva. It was a 15 minute drive away and we went before breakfast a couple times. It was stunning and not too busy in the morning. I would definitely recommend getting a car when you stay here so you can explore all the wonderful nearby towns and beaches. We can't wait to come back soon! Thank you again!
