"Boston Bay Jerk Centre Located along a stretch of coastline that's sometimes called the birthplace of jerk cuisine, the Boston Bay Jerk Centre is hard to miss. Various meats are cook on open pits using a technique that may explain why jerk never tastes so good at home: Uncured pimento logs are placed over a bed of hot coals, and the meat is laid directly onthegreenlogs. The whole operation is then coveredup by asheet of corrugated zinc and cooked until it's black on the outside and tender underneath. You can place your order by the quarter, half, or full pound. Don’t forgetto add jerk sauce, which you canalso buy by the bottle as a souvenir."

The food was phenomenal. We were given the opportunity to taste different stalls before committing to a purchase. Unfortunately, for such an iconic landmark, this place is quite run down. Both the vendors and the members of parliament needs to do a better job of up keeping this area.

I’m going to assume that the chicken was just dry and tough due to the time that we showed up here. I’ll try to give Boston jerk some grace, but in fact, the chicken was truly a jerk this night. It was not enjoyable whatsoever. And the sauces that they gave were extremely salty. That did not taste like jerk sauce at all. I don’t think I would come back to this spot, but cheers to anyone who will be eating here again and again.

Food was great, prices made sense for the taste, not so much the portions but win some lose some. Only hiccup was how long it took to get served but that was just because there were so many people there pushing to get ahead of you shouting their orders the loudest and so on but as I said win some lose some. A great experience, nice cane juice in run bottles too

Boston Jerk Center – A Disappointing Experience As someone who values authentic Jamaican cuisine, especially jerk, I had high hopes when visiting Boston Jerk Center – a place often mentioned in conversations about traditional Jamaican food. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The food was tough, dry, and overwhelmingly salty. Instead of that rich, smoky, perfectly seasoned flavor you expect from jerk, what I got felt rushed and poorly prepared. The texture of the meat made it hard to enjoy, and it seemed like no real care was taken in the cooking process. But perhaps the most frustrating part was the value for money – or the lack of it. Prices were steep, yet the food felt cheap in both quality and taste. I understand paying a premium for good jerk, but not when the food is this underwhelming. Would I go back? Absolutely not. The meal I had didn’t represent the essence of Jamaican jerk at all. It's sad to see so many places claiming authenticity while cutting corners and delivering mediocrity. I’m honestly tired of these so-called “jerk centers” charging top dollar for subpar food. Boston Jerk Center, unfortunately, is just another name added to that list. PS. the place needs a good clean.

Good jerk can be found here. Don't commit to the first stall you see. Take your time. They're all looking for the same thing. I chose Mickey's jerk centre and I/R jerk. For different meats. Both were excellent. Moist, well cooked and seasoned to perfection. The sweet potato was also exceptional. You can spend a lot of time here. There's also a sound system and drinks stalls around the area. It can get very busy and lively.

My experience was disappointing. We ordered 1/4 lb of jerk chicken and pork, with roasted breadfruit. They told us to pay after we ate. I was definitely not impressed with the jerk I've had better. They also overcharged us we ordered 1/4 lbs of the chicken and pork and they charged us 1/2lbs.

A really lovely spot with great food, we ate at Mickey's which has a really nice dressing area just across the road, got some really nice sugar cane juice from a rastaman which I would highly recommend also. Apparently it will cure you off all future illness
