Boston Jerk Center – A Disappointing Experience
As someone who values authentic Jamaican cuisine, especially jerk, I had high hopes when visiting Boston Jerk Center – a place often mentioned in conversations about traditional Jamaican food. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
The food was tough, dry, and overwhelmingly salty. Instead of that rich, smoky, perfectly seasoned flavor you expect from jerk, what I got felt rushed and poorly prepared. The texture of the meat made it hard to enjoy, and it seemed like no real care was taken in the cooking process.
But perhaps the most frustrating part was the value for money – or the lack of it. Prices were steep, yet the food felt cheap in both quality and taste. I understand paying a premium for good jerk, but not when the food is this underwhelming.
Would I go back? Absolutely not. The meal I had didn’t represent the essence of Jamaican jerk at all. It's sad to see so many places claiming authenticity while cutting corners and delivering mediocrity.
I’m honestly tired of these so-called “jerk centers” charging top dollar for subpar food. Boston Jerk Center, unfortunately, is just another name added to that list.
PS. the place needs a good clean.
