İBB Maçka Democracy Park

Maçka Park (officially Maçka Democracy Park) is a large and beautiful green space located in Şişli, between Harbiye and Maçka. 🌳 Here you can find: • Walking and jogging paths → Perfect for those who enjoy sports. • Green lawns → Great for picnics, reading, or sunbathing. • Children’s playgrounds → Ideal for families with kids. • Dog-walking areas → A popular spot for pet owners. • Cafés and kiosks → Small places to sit and relax inside and around the park. • Cable car line → The Maçka–Taşkışla cable car passes through the park. • Shady trees → Perfect for cooling off in the summer. During the day it’s popular for sports, picnics, and relaxation; in the evenings it’s a lively place for walks and meetups. 🏞️

I come to this park a lot because it’s easy to access and it’s really big. You can find quiet and peaceful spots to relax, or busier areas if you want to socialize with other people. Many people bring their pets here to play, especially because there’s a playground for dogs. The restrooms are always clean, and there are also a few small cafes. I love this place because I’ve always come here with my friends and we’ve made so many memories together.

This is a narrow but long park with some good elevation for heart rate increase activity. Lots of grass and benches to sit n chill at. There were 2 playground areas and 2 exercise equipment areas, plus a fun off lead area for dogs! There were some mini cafe booths to buy snacks and drinks at. There is a toilet which costs 5LR. I was there in the morning before they had finished with the rubbish pick up and bin emptying, so there was a LOT of rubbish around. This in turn brings a lot of crows who spread the mess even further. A fun park with good elevation and a cable car going across it. Lots of paths to choose from going up n down.

This is a great part to come and do family picnics. On the weekends, there are lots of people sitting under the trees, bringing their own chairs and blankets to sit, their own food and grills. People put hammocks. There are paid public restrooms. It's a beautiful place to spend relaxing afternoon.

Nice and big park in the middle of big city. Good for Walking , running , or just Chill out with friends or alone. During summer it will be very hot , but there are a lot of Green, you can chilling under the Tree , there are some beltur Cafe as well, and plenty public toilet , don't worry it's clean mostly :). You can ride the teleferik too just pay by your Istanbul card. Nice park.

Very good place to relax with your loved ones. The area is very safe and perfect for relaxing or walking between the natural areas . It's has a park for children where they can play

Peaceful, beautiful and well maintained park. Some people complained in review that the park is dirty and not managed. I think they came after a holiday or party. Its mostly clean! Play ground for kid is new and intriguing. There are many family, couple and friends who come to the park for picnic.
