Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada

Just some notes from the two day passes that I’ve done there. The front desk seems to have a problem with connecting the information from the website that sells the day passes. So plan on waiting extra time for that. It happened both times for us. Besides that, the food was absolutely fantastic. The employees are super friendly. And on this last trip, we did the day pass with the hotel room. The room was fantastic. Very quiet. And the room was extremely dark with triple curtains so you could take a nap. You can tell this resort is very organized and very structure. They do a very good job.

My family and I had an amazing time at this resort. The food was all very delicious, the entertainers were very interactive and constantly making a fun environment, and the shows at night kept us wanting to stay longer. We especially loved Super Joe, Road Runner, Ninja, Rambo, Shaggy, and King Kong. There’s so many prizes to win at all hours of the day and the music is amazing so you’ll definitely want to keep dancing. We’re definitely coming back!!

We booked the Iberostar Costa Dorada Inclusive Beach Escape excursion and had mixed feelings about the experience. Our tour guide, Amanda Diaz, was wonderful—very friendly, welcoming, and full of helpful information. She was definitely one of the highlights of the day. The resort itself appeared clean and well maintained, but unfortunately the pool was a major disappointment. It was filled with bugs, debris, and, shockingly, even a dead bird floating in the water. That made it completely uninviting. Hoping for a better experience, we headed to the beach, but were quickly approached by a local trying to sell us souvenirs and even drugs, which made us very uncomfortable. On the positive side, the buffet was excellent. There was a wide variety of options, with plenty to satisfy even the pickiest eater. That was the true standout of the excursion. Thankfully, only two ships were in port on the day we visited, so the resort wasn’t overcrowded with cruisers. Overall, while the food and our guide were wonderful, the pool conditions and the uncomfortable beach experience kept this from being the relaxing escape we had hoped for.

We had a 3-night stay at Iberostar Waves to celebrate our daughter's 9th birthday and had a fun experience overall. Our room was spacious and the balcony was nice. The power went out a few times while I was using the hair dryer, not sure if this is something that the property can fix. Pro tip for future travelers: Make sure the balcony door is closed, otherwise the AC will not turn on. ||Days before our arrival, I emailed ahead to inform the team of our daughter's birthday and was told that an amenity would be arranged. Unfortunately, this did not happen. It could be due to the volume of requests that they receive daily. Otherwise, the whole staff was friendly and helpful. The concierge took care of our restaurant reservations and excursions. The food and drinks were decent. Out of all the restaurants onsite, the Japanese Hibachi was our favorite! ||Overall, Iberostar Waves gives a great value, best for families.

Great hotel in the area. Service was great. People are great. Food was good for an all inclusive, not the best but not the worse. Ninja, part of the entertainment group, was really personable and kept us entertained our entire stay. From activities by the pool to night dancing at the plaza. Paula, the hostess at the plaza, was amazing and so sweet and provided service to us every night. Would recommend a stay here.

I came here with my family all the way from NYC and this was the perfect getaway vacation. We were shown a great time by King Kong and he really welcomed us and showed us a great time. He made sure we were taken care of at the beach and pool area with food and great drinks. He made sure we were attended to and showed us all the activities for adults and kids to do! I also don’t usually enjoy resort food but they have really great food options with the buffet, Italian, Mexican, and hibachi. My sister recommended this place and I will definitely be back!

This hotel was very clean and updated. They were able to accommodate my son gluten and nuts free diet. They have different show every night. They also for the afternoon cook a dish at the beach and have the buffet open as well. The pool has plenty of space a little hot for my taste. The beaches beautiful and has plenty of seating area but there was a lot of sea weed in the water.

First time here and everything was a great experience. Good food, good people and most importantly great environment. The gym surprised me the most with so much equipment for a resort, the gym staff was awesome and a great help they assisted me with water and towels and even different exercises. I wish I didn’t have to leave but you always have to leave to come back!
