Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada

The Hit Class was awesome. Really enjoyed getting a good sweat in with Bryan, the coach, he was really encouraging and friendly. I also enjoyed the tennis class with Pablo, he explained things very well and in a fun way. I was so surprised at how much better I got on my skills. The beautiful vegetation and weather were a plus. Overall a great experience with the fitness department at the hotel, really nice and friendly people, as well as great instruction.

Excellent experience, the food was incredible, everything so clean in the room and the spaces. The beach really good but the most precious about this resort are the people, the dances, games, and the memorable mention has to be for a guy called King Kong. He was the best animator / friend who makes our stay the best resort that I have been 🥳

The hotel has such amazing entertainment throughout the entire day for kids and adults. The kids club (star camp) was the highlight of the trip for the kids. Barbie and Julianna were so amazing with the kids and had activities planned from 10am-5pm. They were super organized, energetic, and always made sure kids felt included and safe. You could tell they genuinely cared about the kids and created a positive, welcoming atmosphere. Food was amazing. Drinks were great as well Beach was very clean

I had an amazing time at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day full of fun activities. One of the highlights of our stay was the animation team – they were absolutely fantastic! There was never a dull moment. The shows at night were especially entertaining, with King Kong and pińa colada performing team. The performance was unforgettable! It was creative, hilarious, and had everyone laughing and cheering – something you don’t see. 🍍🍹 This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay special. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a really good time at the resort (considering the relatively low cost of hotel and flight). People were really welcoming and caring and the service was great. Food was fine: I think the Mexican restaurant had the best food and service and I enjoyed the Hibachi experience. The Italian restaurant was not as enjoyable: the host was too slow and it doesn’t have AC. The drinks were all included: with beer, wine and cocktails. It doesn’t feel crowded at all for 4th of July weekend and it seems to be a resort with lots of locals. My husband and I did not avoid any raw meat, fish or vegetables (except the yogurt at the breakfast buffet that had a lot of small flies on the edge of the bowl 🤣), and we did NOT get any stomach problem at all. Although we still got quite a few mosquitoes bites, I think the resort really tried its best with bug spray in rooms and grass. With the buffets being open air, we were amazed seeing all the birds and peacocks walking/flying around and eating the leftover from people’s plates 🤣 regardless we had lots of fun here (mostly learning to scuba dive) and really found relaxation here in the Dominican culture.

Our trip to Costa Dorada Waves in the Dominican Republic wouldn’t have been the same without Ninja, the absolute best entertainer on the resort! From the moment we arrived, he brought nonstop energy, laughter, and genuine good vibes. Whether it was leading beach games, dance-offs, or hyping up the nightly shows, Ninja made sure everyone—from kids to adults—was having the time of their lives. He has a way of making every guest feel included and special, remembering names, sharing jokes, and always checking in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. His charisma is unmatched and his dedication to entertaining is next level. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. If you’re lucky enough to visit Costa Dorada Waves, make sure you meet Ninja. He’ll be the reason you’ll want to come back!

Guys you can’t really ask for more for the price. Everything was as expected. The rooms were clean with working AC, hot water (even though you might prefer the regular water because of the heat). The staff are friendly and helpful but there’s always one or two that don’t enjoy their job. Me and my family loved it, we stayed for 4 days which was more than enough. You get bored of the food pretty quick…other than that there’s a lot you can do outside the hotel and go back in…

Very nice services and food is great! Japanese restaurant puts on a great show but taste is subpar. We had some issues with the room at first but managed to change and we upgraded it to beach front which is amazing! Staffs are nice and helpful! Loved our stay. However next time we won’t agree to membership welcome session, it’s a total waste of time.
